Getting Our Licks In!

Sunny and not as cold today, although is was cold when Ripken and I walked this morning. Got alot of stuff done around the house today: I made a list so I was motivated to be able to cross stuff out when I was done. Today was All Out Low Impact HIIT with burn set shoulders (premix 4). I really like the cardio part of AOLIH. I could see that one becoming a favorite very quickly. I've been working on downloading all the XTRAIN download files. There sure are a bunch of them. I've done all the longer downloads and now I just have the 100 rep challenge files and burn set bonus files. They should download much faster. Been an all day project so far.

I think being on the forum is slowing down my download, so I will be back later.

Yesterday I did Hard Strikes no conditioning Premix and I had such a blast! I absolutely loved this work out! It was so easy to pick up and it was over before I knew it!

Today was Cardio Leg Blast which I also liked a lot. It is very similar in format to the STS Plyo Legs in Meso Cycle 3 but it seemed more fun. My heart rate went really high not sure if its because I am still under the weather or if it's the workout!

Michelle you definitely are good at keeping us in line! LOL! The weather is unseasonable warm this week and it was killer cold last week, the swings in temperatures seem abnormal. Next week it is going to get up to the mid 60's!!! And we have had very little snow.....

Renee I am glad you've made the commitment to follow a rotation, I have found that they work magic on the body! Cather really knows what she is doing and it takes the 'what am I going to do today' out of the equation which I like. I sent you a friend request on MFP

Janey glad to hear you are getting back into your workouts! I know two people with the same condition as your niece. I am glad to hear she is handling it so well. The people I know are both middle aged men.

Im so glad u liked HS and CLB ... Those two are perfect mix of everything. Im so happy my foot is better so i can do them! hS to me after im done feels like i went for a quick jog. Clb is the right plyo that it doesnt feel hard on knees or feet cause we then stop and do weights i love it.

Tonight was Disc 7 AOLIH prem5 with shoulders. Whew! I love the cardio in this one.

Michelle, Great job on Ripken and your walk this morning. An AOLIH with burn set shoulders. Had no idea it takes that long to download.

Laura, Great job on Hard Strikes no conditioning Premix yesterday. I also love the hard strikes. Also great job on today's CLB, I'm sure your heart rate went up because of both reasons. You worked hard and you are just getting over being under the weather.

ReneeP, Great job on your workouts. So glad your feet and knees are feeling better too.

Oh i didnt post it here i wanted to put my avitar as my arm for the day to show what my arm looks like after week three of xtrain i need to put the before pic up to but dont know how to adf more pics on my wall. I can tell u it looked like a fat burrito . But i was hoping it can show i had /o definition before at all and i think i see definition now!
 
Today is a rest day for me. I will be cleaning the whole house today. Finished with Cody again. Here he is.

I got it it is on my wall... Look at my wall my son split screened it for me. Can u guys tell a difference or am i wishful thinking? Be honest ...i think that that little bit is good for only three weeks.

I am unfamiliar with the names on a lot of the new workouts did you do the Low Impact Hiit? I haven't gotten to those yet

Renee: thanks for the compliment on MFP! YES you can totally tell a difference in your arms! I can't believe how quickly you put on muscle mass that is great! It gets harder and harder as we get older doesn't it?

The girls have a friend over for the weekend and I am about to take them to the Pearl St Outside Mall to walk around!

Thanks Laura i had to post it on Mfp. Lol .. Im excited to see a little difference i didnt want to get on scale and get discouraged and quite so, i took pic to give me a boast. And the compliment is very real, u are a pretty lady. You look so young.

Happy Martin Luther King Birthday and Inauguration day! The really cold weather that is coming isn't here yet so Ripken and I had a nice long walk this morning. He still enjoys his walkabouts although they will be short the rest of the week with super cold weather coming. Not good for dogs of any age to be outside longer than they need to be when it is super cold. Not good for people either. Today was XTRAIN cardio leg blast premix 2--I really like this workout. Tomorrow is a rest day and a travel day for me. On my way to New Orleans for a conference. I've got all my Cathe workouts loaded on my IPhone and my equipment ready to pack. The hotel has a good fitness facility, so I will have access to free weights, stability ball, a step, etc. Should be able to stay on track with the workouts in the rotation for this week.

ReneeP: the picture of your bicep looks great. You keep alluding to being overweight but what I see of you in your pictures certainly counters that assertion.

Janie: is it just me or are all these grandchildren of yours getting older? How old is Cody now?

Laura: I did Hardstrikes yesterday. I agree with you; it is definitely a fun workout.

Michelle thats great u will be able to keep up the travel! Thanks for the complent but i guess gaining over 40 pounds is alot to me, n im only 5 ft 1 and i weigh 149 so it is perportioned but to big for what im used to. I was 103 and the past five yrs i gaind that much. Oh i love leg blast.

Janie good job on the low impact hit and chest! You getting back into it you think?

I had rest day today but i did yoga. I had tight sore thighs from yesterday. I jogged some and low impact hiit. Eek.

ReneeP, Yep, I got my groove back. LOL Enjoy your rest day and great job on the yoga and jogging and LIHiit. Do be sure to get complete rest days, they are so important. That is not a rest day. Your body needs recuperation/healing from what you put it through during the week. I understand being excited about improvements but understand your body won't improve if you don't take a rest day at least once a week. Doing nothing but healing. Forgive me if I'm to forward.

No janie i need to hear that. I have headache again and my toe hurts and im supose to do legs. So you were so right. Maybe i should do yoga after my last day of wo of the week.
That was my problem before i do too much at once.
And i may switch legs with bi n tris that supose to be tomorrow or i may take today to rast and tomorrow double up since bi n tris is not long and i dont work tomorrow. Thanks for that.
Janie r u doing the road trip this yr. I would be geez thats a long trip to drive by myself and not know where im going. I coild make to to wv but after that id probly be lost.

So I tweaked the rotation a little bit to fit my classes this week. I did the standing part of legs and Ball work + rear delts + core on monday and my Pilates class,

Tuesday i did the barre part of legs in my barre class plus some arms + core and then I did the Low Impact Hiit but just the floor portion because I was tired (still not all the way recovered)....:-(

Today was my yoga class and taking rest day...

So my biceps are still extremely sore abnormally sore from that burn set bicep workout I did on Sunday. I am actually wondering if Ii might have hurt them?

Michelle have a safe trip, how long are you gone? I am gad you don't have to miss out on any of your workouts that is awesome!

Janie glad your back in your game! TI is awesome to have this support to keep us accountable and before we know it we are back in our groove

Renee thanks again for the compliment! I agree with Michelle hat you don't look overweight but i can hear you to that gaining 35+ s a lot! You must have been tiny at 103!!!

Ya it is strange because i had always been chunky and i have issues lol
like in foster home my foster mom would give me pills and call me fat.. Foster dad const told me that people fat people r lazy the more they said the bigger i got. I got up to 170 , the words hurt, but also seemed to cause me to eat more. then after i had my kids i looked at them and seen there little healthy bodies and wanted so much for them to be healthy so i never fed them junk and i said if i dont give them junk i wont eat junk. And i was being controlled by my ex hubby ( abusive ), so i said only thing in my life i can control is what i put in my mouth. So i exercised, playd with my kids and lost 70 pounds.( I kept it off til here recently my real mom got sick and work at same time i ended up depressed and overwhelmed, stressed gained 40 or so back after keeping it off 15 yrs. ) But i was told i looked anorixic at 103 And i know at 43 i wont get that small again nor do i want to be that small.
Id like to get to 125 for now and see if that helps me feel better n knees feel better. To me i just think 149 is not good on my knees but once i go to 125 ill reevaluate lol. I do have to b careful because i was diagnosed with body dysmorphia. So even when i was 103 i saw in the mirror 170 still... So i think im good after many yrs of counseling. But i do have to keep prespective. But thanks!
Today i doubled up on my wo to get caught up... I did legs and bi n tri.. 1 hr and 30 min 617 calories. I took yesterday off. And i felt really good today.

ReneeP, I won't be going on the RT. Buying all her DVD's is enough for me. But, I hear it's is sooooooo fun! Tweaking is a good thing especially when it fits your lifestyle. Good for you! Great job on the variety of the exercise and your classes. Glad to see you doing yoga and having a rest day. For me yoga is intense and stretching would be in order then the rest of the day would relax. We all have our ways of fitting in our exercises and elongating our muscles as we see fit in a healthy way. Hmmm, I hope you didn't hurt yourself. Get some ice on those babies right away and take a couple days off, really. Yep, I love being back in the groove with a very important lesson learned.

ReneeP, I'm sorry for what you had to go through in life. I think you are doing so well. Just remember you didn't get overweight overnight so try not to lose it over night or quickly. Try to think of it this way. Eat the way you want to eat to be healthy for the rest of your life. So in doing it that way you don't have to be in a rush, it will come off. Don't worry be happy. :) It will happen. Just one more thought. Try not to over indulge in the exercises. Meaning just do what is asked of you in the rotation and nothing more, and try not to double up, it's hard on ya, but understand wanting to catch up. I do it too, but know it's not a good idea so try really hard to do the rotation as is. I bet you will have lots of energy, maybe less aches and pains and maybe less headaches as well. Just something I've learned to do by trial and error.

Great job on your catch up, hope you don't do it all the time. Man I'm being bossy. I just don't want you to jeopardize what you've gained so far. I'm on your side and cheering you all the way. You know your body and what it can and can't do. You go girl!

Hi!

Today was Burn Sets Chest Back and Shoulders. I don't quite have heavy enough weights at home to really challenge my Chest and Back. My heaviest set of DB are 25's and I need a set of 30 and #35's but they are so expensive at that weight so I will have to wait, maybe I will ask for that for my Birthday which is in June!:eek::rolleyes:

My biceps are still excessively sore from the Burns Sets I did last Sunday! :confused: I actually think I over did them! They are a little better today but if they are still sore I will have to skip the next Bicep workout I think...:(

Renee: that's so horrible that your foster parents did that to you I am so sorry! I remember my gymnastics coach yelling at me that I was fat and how disgusting my stomach looked sticking out! And believe you me I was no where near overweight AND I was only 10! But those words still echo in my head. I am a big girl, very stout and curvy with big hips, boobs and legs....I am just going to have to accept my genetics! I would like to be closer to 125 as well which means I have about 20 lbs to loose! I am not sure if that weight would be sustainable or not. I am going for 135 and then I will try to just maintain that for a few months and then go from there. I am 5'4"

And disbite others efforts i actualy LIKE me. I like my humor, lots of people tried to stiffle that to. They did for awhile but not now.. I use to b afraid id sound stupid if i spoke loud enough for anyone to hear. Now if i got a question or if i want to laugh i do. And im glad at it lol i can b driving,alone and think of funny stuff and ill laugh out loud! I am a happy person now!
You are doing well on ur wo too! Im excited we are all doing the sme things.
And the RT ya i still dont want to drive thru 6 states alone! I could entertain myself but i would get lost! Lol
