Getting Our Licks In!

Hi Michelle so great to hear from you again. Let me know how the books help I may be Interested as well. Yes stretch I do a lot and soak but never pedicure. I'd like to try one day.
I did high reps yesterday and then I did a 3 miles walk jog. I jogged 2.5 and walked a half mile.

Today is a rest day for me. Starting tomorrow I do The 4Day Split series for one month. I'm excited!

Michelle, I know how it goes when you are busy, no problem not checking in all the time, life goes on. Happy to hear you were able to get some workouts in. All very good ones to do. You are so welcome for the package. You've been going through so much and wanted to distract you a little from sad stuff. Great job on the Wedding Video yesterday. Was I correct? LOL:D You are so cute. Did the book give you any ideas to help ease Ripken? Give him some pets for me please. Say hi to your sis for me.

ReneeP, Great job on the HR yesterday and the walk/jog for as long as you did. Wow, I'm very impressed.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Hi everyone. I wasn't feeling really great yesterday so I just did Pyramid Up from Upper body Pyramid. 40 minutes was about right. Today I woke up with vertigo--just experienced it getting out of bed so I'm hoping that is that. It sure was unpleasant. Decided to take a break today, so I did yard work instead. I sweat as much either way. Planning to get up a little earlier tomorrow so I can spend some more time weeding my garden, then I'm going to put down some Preen. Hopefully that will help keep the weeds at bay. I figure if I do a little weeding at a time and then put down the preen, I will eventually get my one garden in shape. My mother who is really into gardening just laughs at me when I talk about my one garden.

ReneeP: Step blast is one of my favorite workouts. High reps is a great workout as well. Are you doing anything special this weekend? Or just relaxing?

Janie: Yes, you guessed the workout. I didn't preview just hopped right in and gave it a go. It sure is a fun workout. Kind of sneaks up on you as you go along. Sister is doing 4DS as well. I think she just finished the 2nd week.

Well, just about 2 months to the Cathe roadtrip in Glassboro. Oh boy! Looking forward to my 3rd roadtrip, second one for sister. She just passed the one year mark for her ACL/MCL repair surgery last year. She sure has come a long way.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend.
Michelle

Janie...so what 4ds did u do today? Andhow do u like it?
Michelle please give us update on rd trip when u go! So excited for you and sister! How does ur sis like 4 DS? Great job on peramid I don't have that one. I hear it is. A great workout. Man I hope you feel better soon. All this week I had a headache... Tom.. makes my head hurt. All I could do was drag. Tale. I did least I could but still preserved then would nap a lot and I don't nap usually, but here lately I have been and don't like it. Hopefully next week will be better.
today I only could twick out a 20 min light jog. Paint and mow small patch of grass.. napping and painting. LOL had to nap again to rid my hurt head. Well hope everyone is having a great evening

Did The 4 Day Split; Step, back and chest. The step workout part was advanced choreography and maybe a month of this and I will be able to do it. Who knows, I did however kept going and did a lot of ablibing. My heart was up and sweated profusely. yea, glad it's done. Loved loved the weight lifting very very heavily. Almost kept up with Cathe until she used 30# dumb bells in each hand for chest presses. I did half of them with 30's and then went down to 20# Whew! Loved it and room to grow. Also wanted to add that flies were 5# down from Cathe's. Like I said, room to grow.

Went to a play today and saw "Old Lady" Very good. Then we ate our dinner while driving to Costco did some shopping and then went to Low's for plants and other things for the beach house. This next coming Sunday will be going over to plant what I got; 3 lilac trees, 3 snowball trees (or are they bushes) and about 4 rhododendrons and a 2 or 3 hydrangeas. It will be really nice at the beach house.

Michelle, Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well and great job on Pyramid Up from Upper body Pyramid. EWE, I experienced vertigo once. Very unpleasant. Went away thank God and never came back. And good rithuns to. Like your break for gardening. Preen never worked very well for me, so I just bought black plastic and that works better for quite a few years. I may have done it wrong though. I love gardening when it's nice outside and yesterday and today was perfect weather for that. I bet you are so excited for Cathe's road trip. I'm excited for you. Renee is keeping me posted on the workouts and how they effect her so when I get to them I kinda know what to expect. She helps me a great deal that way.

ReneeP, I hope you get your energy back soon. Great job on tweaking out a 20 min. light job. Better than nothing. Still, what are you painting? Take care of that awful headache.

Take care ladies and hope you all enjoy the holiday tomorrow. We are going to a family barbeque. We are bring sushi.

Happy Memorial Day! This morning Ripken and I took two short walks--with the warmer weather and humidity, pup and I will be adjusting our walk routine. He is doing great. Loving his new diet and I'm getting into a routine for making his meals. Did LIS: Lower Body Split this morning. Sweat was flying every which way and Ripken hung out with me during most of the workout. Such a sweet boy. Still experiencing the vertigo today. Not as bad because I was aware that I needed to slowly sit up in bed this morning before actually getting up. It's annoying.

Janie: I'll let you know if the preen works for me. I'm hopeful. Working in the garden is slow going for me because after 30 minutes I start getting itchy all over and my nose starts running. It will take me a month of Sundays to get the garden weeded, but that is the way it goes. Sounds like you have a fun day planned with your family.

Renee: It's a bummer when you don't feel 100 percent, isn't it? Rest up and start over tomorrow, right? Do you think it's your sinuses giving you the headaches or something else?

Going to enjoy the day a little. Hope everyone does the same.
Michelle

Michelle I see that lis lower body split! Before and I still don't see what one that is...is it trisects? That isgood job. I usedto get headaches all the time but I quit smoking and it went away now II get them. The whole week I'm on the TOM. So I think it is hormone now. I'm just glad it isn't like it was. Also I have hard time outside in evening due to bug bites. I get seat up bad .. I'm there snack. Noone else in family is Brothered. I will have Welps.

Janie dang on women u r really lifting .. I can only do 15# flys . I may can do 20 # chest press but I can't afford to get them YET LOL I
am tryieto figure out how I can sneak them in without DH noticeing if can try to get the money. Man I want lilac bush's to. I love the smell. And honeysuckles! I wonder how to grow in sand!
I did push pull today. It went well I only burned 240 Cal but at least I'm gaining muscle. Have good day. Oh I was painting kitchen now dinning room soon bedroom and bathroom.

Rest day today and tomorrow. Then a nice step and heavy workout with The 4Day Split.

Michelle, Happy Memorial Day to you too! We had a really good time at the Barbeque, lots of family and good Paleo eats. Didn't mess up except a bite of a pretzel bun. Had to taste that and it was good. Only a bite, was so proud of myself. Great job on the two short walks with Ripken. It's really cool you are making his meals, such a wonderful way to treat our loving pets. You can also freeze some of those meals, so it's more convenient for you. Great job also on LIS: Lower Body Split. Don't you just love it when sweat flies all over the place, now that's the way to work out. Hope that darn vertigo will go away soon. It shouldn't last to much longer. Taking time in the garden in that way is very enjoyable. Have fun at it.

ReneeP, Bugs like to suck my blood too. I hate it! EEEW! I'm also the only one in the family that bugs love and welt up and man o man does that ich! It is a good idea to get as many heavy weights as you can. I say that because you will get stronger and will need the weights to accommodate your strength gains. I'm lucky that my honey understands the value of workouts and health. I hope that he (your honey) will see how important it is to you, so you don't have to hide that from him. Maybe you can get him into workouts too? Thank you so much for your support on my lifting weights. That makes me feel so good. Bless your heart. Great job on Push Pull today. I really like that one. Will you be showing us photos of your rooms after they've been painted or are they all the same cream color like ours. LOL:rolleyes: I kept it safe.

Take care and will talk tomorrow,

Janie

Hey guys! Sorry I've been missing! Still working out and this yoga training is taking up my 'spare time! I'm trying to post from my phone while walking in the treadmill which is making me think of shadowpup when she got that desk like thing to fit in her treadmill! It's surprisingly difficult!

I'm going to read back over the past posts and see what I've missed!! I'm so ready for a 10lb weightless challenge by end of July!

So how is the yoga going? Does it help with weight loss? I'm always afraid. To spend Time doing it often I think it might tale away from my other workout but most people i I have seen who do yoga are so toned and no fat. So I'm wondering did it help or was they already in Shape before they did it
Wow that is hard texting and TM! LOL did u. Have a good weekend?

Tonight was 4DS-KB. I just loved this workout. It was so intense for me. I think you can make it as intense as you like. And the weight section for the legs was very creative and also intense. I really liked this one. Almost kept up with Cathe only I used less risers than she did. The day before yesterday I woke up with horrific Charlie horse in my right calf. Oy! It hurt today so I used the roller on it. It helped.

Laura, I think of Shadowpup as well. Wonder how she's doing? Great job on working out and yoga training. I'm game for the 10 pound loss. Seems though, I've lost losing weight so quickly. It's very slow right now, but still want to do lose it by the end of July.

ReneeP, Great job on 4DS Low Intensity with upper body prem. Yoga really helps stretch those muscle you worked on so hard. Helps them become long and lean and flexible. Will be doing yoga tomorrow. Seems I haven't done yoga for ages.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Today my coordination challenge is stationary bike & iPad :)!!!

I'm warming up to do STS Meso Cycle 2 Week 1 Legs at rec center. Yoga is going great thanks. I love learning a method of movement more deeply. Yoga can be extremely intense or extremely easy. The school I a learning through is more intense than other yoga styles I've done. It will defiantly build strength as well as flexibility. Overall though yoga is not a big calorie burn but people who do yoga are very 'embodied' and lead very healthy lives in all aspects so yeah people who do yoga tend to be pretty darn fit overall!

Hope all is well glad to here Ripkin is back to his usual spirits!

I plan on doing 14 days of straight Paleo diet starting tomorrow!

Janie I did Kickboxing and legs. It is fun! I did weight first premix I don't think I like that as much as cardio first. My knees felt too stiff to get into the kicking LOL.

Laura how is Michelle?
Hmm you r making yoga sound better and better. Keep me up on how paleo works for you!

During the barbeque, my son in law was coughing up a storm. He said he felt like he wasn't contagious. I've been fighting a really bad sore throat all day. Hopefully it's nothing. I haven't lost any weight for 2 weeks! Maybe this is it, and from here on out, perhaps gaining muscle? I don't know. I feel like I want to lose another 10 pounds though. Hmmmm

Laura, Great job on warming up to do STS Meso Cycle 2 Week 1 legs. Also great job on the yoga. I have to agree on your analogy of yoga. When you finish the 14 days of Paleo diet, don't be surprised that you will most likely have lost around 10 pounds. After that it's slower. If you go longer you will also find that you need to stay at a reasonable calorie intake. Also you might want to tweak it to fit more of your needs. But only a little. Good Luck, you will be pleasantly surprised.

ReneeP, Isn't it fun (KB & Legs)? I just love that workout! Thanks for doing a premix and for sharing about the weight first and then the cardio. I think I will always do cardio first then the weight. ;)

Take care,

Janie

Janie

Hi everyone. Geez, I don't know what happened to me this week; I thought I was checking in but must have been more mental that actual. Oh well. I have been finishing up the last week of the STS/LIS on month total body recharge rotation that Cathe posted back in January. Since I was on travel last week, I had to deviate, so this week I got back to it. This has been a great rotation but I am hoping that Cathe posts something for June. I seem to be in a LIS rut--not that it's a bad thing, but I'm ready to do some ohter workouts. Today I have the cardio supersets +step premix--I hope I survive. This afternoon we are finally headed over to the boat to get it opened up for the season. Better the first weekend of June than the second. Ripken is doing okay. He still doesnot know that he is sick. He is loving his new food and eating well. Oh and my vertigo is better--not gone but better.

Janie: happy to hear that you are seeing the weight scale slowly inch down. I always tell sister that the last 10 pounds are the hardest because they have been there the longest. LOL! Hope you are not sick. Take some extra vitamin C and gargle. A little extra sleep wouldn't hurt either.

ReneeP: looks like you and Janie are having a 4DS festival. And having lots of fun doing so.

Laura: nice to have you pop back in. We all get busy. Please refresh my memory--what type of yoga are you learning?

Okay--enough procrastinating--cardio supersets awaits....
~michelle

Jan.ie I'm happy for u and the scale! Me and my scale are fighting. I broke up with it a while Back and that is how I gained LOL. A lot of. People say not to use them but I gained most of my weight not uusing
