Happy Birthday Janie! Hope you have a great day. Which workout are you doing to celebrate?

I think spring is going to hang out for a while here in the mid-atlantic which will be nice. Ripken and I had a really nice walk this morning and then I did LIS lower body trisets. All those dixie cup exercises sure do work the glutes.

ReneeP: congratulations on finishing the 3-month XTRAIN rotation--you did it! And laying outside, inside, or anywhere with your pup is just the best thing. Nothing like the puppy love.:p

Really nice walk with my sweet boy this morning. A little cooler, but Ripken likes the cool weather. Walk up with major leg/glute DOMS this morning. The walk with my sweet boy helped thaw my legs out and I was able to get through Afterburn this morning. Hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful spring day.

What rotation r u doing? Or are u not and doing ur own ? Im not sure what to do yet. Today is first day of no rotation for me.. Hummm

Its pretty here today as well. I love warm weather. Not real hot but nice.
 
I'm at our beach house this week and walked an hour on it with my dog Rolly this afternoon.

Michelle, Thank you for the Birthday happiness. I didn't workout yesterday lol. Great job on walking with Ripken and so glad to hear you are having good weather. Also good going on LIS Lower Body Trisets.

Again great job on walking with Ripken and I bet it was nice with the cooler weather for him. Congrats on your glute DOM's. Also great job on AB this morning.

ReneeP, What are you doing for your exercises? Glad to see you having good weather as well.

Michelle afterburn is crazy! Can u do all the plank wkrk? I cant and the mountain climbers! Ouch.
 
Good morning! Today was one of those days where my body was saying: you need a rest today. So, no exercise today and I'll just move Athletic Training, the last workout of the March rotation, to tomorrow. Then on to the April rotation which looks like a tough one.

Janie: Sounds like you enjoyed a nice birthday at the beach. So nice. I like to celebrate my birthday with a good workout, but I can see the goodness in celebrating with a day of rest as well.;)

ReneeP: Now that you are done with XTRAIN, you are going to need a new rotation. The April rotation is mostly XTRAIN workouts with a mix of others so you might be interested in doing Cathe's March rotation which has been really good. Yes, Afterburn is a tough workout. I have just gotten to the point of being able to get through the walking plank/straddle pushups. Of course, those come toward the end of the workout when you are tired which makes them harder. I kind of like the burpees and mountain climbers. They are tough but I like them.

Hi yall! I cant believe it! I lost 4 pounds! Holy crap! It only took biw long? Lol a yr? Im sleeping better is the only difference. Im so happy i see it going the other way finaly! I did not feel like i was down i felt like it,was up and didnt want to see but knew it had been two weeks since i checked. I have been trying to lose all this time... Goes to show ..never give uo!
 
Today was an hour and 20 min. with Rolly of brisk walking and walking on the beach. Found two walking sticks. I think I must have done something to my back a couple of weeks ago. It's so sore and have to take Alieve (MS) to help with the pain.


ReneeP, Great job on STS TB and also for losing 4 pounds. Congratulations!

Thats a long walk! While... Im sure it was beaautiful. I also hope u jhst stretch a muscle!! Not bone. I always feel my lower back pain feels like its in the bone. Ouch. I hope u feel better!
I did HS today 45 minutes. Fun fun.
Michelle i agree i need a rotation! I need to pick one and i will start tues right now i want to finish out the week with sts tb and jogging. Tues ill start with march i think hum. Not sure yet.
 
It is cool here again. I'm visiting my parents and IT'S SNOWING!!!!! Oh well, this too shall melt. Did LIS Athletic Training this morning. I really like this workout.

ReneeP: YEAH! You lost some weight. Stick with the Cathe rotations and I think you will continue to see good results.

Janie: Try a little yoga for your back: child's pose, cat pose, and cow pose. If you can do up dog pose, that is a good one too.

Michelle, Can't believe it's still snowing. Wow! Great job on LIS Athletic Training. I'll do some yoga tomorrow to help my back. Thank you for suggesting that. Maybe a little foam rolling too.

Michelle thanks, i thjnk im liking rotations. I tried a week after xtrain on my own and was feeling stressed about what to do lol. I like picking one but i then think now tomorrow,should i do weights? I make it more complicated then it,should be. So with that in mind i am doing march rotation. Then ill do feb or aprils. They look good and fun. So yesterday i did low impact circuit, man i love that workout and the music and music louder option cause i turn it up!

I then went and got my car tires on back... I have been waiting on them forever... Then my son since he works there align my car and did oil change an filter for free yah..
I then took my dog to the vet she has a thing on lip it looks like a coldsore, or a herpi lol poor thing she dont need any thing making her more diff looking .. But he said he hasnever seen such a,thing before. He dontthink it,is a tumor, that is what i was afraid of. He said its not hurting her hed leave it and keep an eye on it. I guess i will .. But he said if it gets bigger to bring her in. I sure will! Well cardio supersets after church today.

Well hi ladies.....:eek:

so after two years of trying and not really making any forward movement and being miserable my husband and I have decided the best thing is to file for divorce. It still breaks my heart, we have had many very happy years together but just can't seem to make it back to one another so..... we havent told the girls yet. They just got back from two weeks of spring break with my in laws, they went to Disney World, Universal Park, Naples FL and Atlanta. They had a great time. We will sit them down next weekend after Bo and I meet and discuss some things with one another first. I hope we can stay amicable with one another and still co raise our daughters and keep their happiness and health in mind above our petty problems with one another...


I am slowly re-entering the world of the living and managed to get a nice gentle two mile walk today. It was a beautiful spring day. I hope to walk again tomorrow and just start with walking for a week and then begin to ease into other things as my various injuries allow...

Hope everyone else is staying happy healthy and exercising!!!

Im so sorry. I am at a loss for words really. I hate that word and its never easy, and of course i could vo on and on about that but im sure thats somethings u have already thought about. I do pray it will be amicable too, children need that stability at least. They will need structure, and to see you and him get along at least in front of them so i agree.

I wish u happiness and all the peice u can muster. I so wish it wasnt this way for you guys, its so sad. I hope we can be a source of support for you.

Im so sad for u and him and ur kids. Thats all i can say really .. Im praying for u all!
 
Went for another walk with my other daughter. 2.5 miles nice and easy


Yeah it sucks all around, but my Husband just isn't the man I once knew and loved so.....
 
Got back home this morning after visiting my parents and sister for three days. Friday we were so busy doing stuff that I did not get to exercise, so it was Intensity yesterday morning and XTRAIN burn set chest, back, and shoulders today. Had as nice a visit with my parents as is possible. They have been married for 60 years and let's just say things have never been great but as they get older, their relationship (if you can call it that) is more and more strained. They will never separate or divorce because their generation just doesn't do that; so instead they are both miserable. Well, my mom sure is; don't know if my dad is miserable or not since he seems to do whatever he pleases. Makes me grateful for my DH and my sweet pup. It was good to see sister.

Laura: I am very sorry to hear that you and your husband will be separating/divorcing. I do hope that you all can maintain an amicable relationship for your girls. I hope that now that you all have made a decision that you can each begin to move forward. I especially hope that you will be able to establish a new commitment to your health and are able to exercise more often. We sure have missed you. (((((((HUGS)))))))

ReneeP: I hate as our pups get older that they get these "growths" on them. It is so worrisome. You did the right thing taking your pup to the vet. Hopefully it will not get any worse. You will enjoy Cathe's March rotation. I like the rotations exactly for the reason that you mention: I don't have to figure out what to do!

Janie: The snow was short-lived-thank goodness. I think that we are truly into spring weather now. It is in the low-70s here today. I took Ripken for two walks since coming home and it feels so good to have the warmth of the sun back. I think Ripken is enjoying it too. Not too warm for him and there is a nice breeze out of the south which provided him with good sniffs. How is your back doing?

Hate to hear that about ur mom and dad.. I hope me n hubby dont end up that way! Im sorry they feel they havr no other choice. I guess once u been with someone so many years i guess she may thinm.. Whats the use in starting over. Sad to feel that way.

Laura hello! Hope u r starting to feel better! She is right maybe since you now know where things are going u can get on with ur life. I think that is a strain not knowing or keep trying knowing it isnt workinv. I hipe u get in some workouts so u can feel bettef.

It is so pretty here and im stuck in an office alone again and no freaking windows! I wish i brought my lapfop and yoga dvds lol well i get youtube on,my phone. Maybe ill do a youtube workout on this small phone lol

ReneeP: thanks for your kind sentiments. I do not let my parents' poor relationship get me down, in fact I let it be my inspiration to not repeat family history. My husband and I certainly have had our ups and downs but we've reached a point in our marriage where we try to roll with the punches together and don't really argue because we pretty much know what the other person is going to say, so we just agree to disagree. I also know in my heart that we both love each other and are committed to each other 200 percent. Being married isn't just about the physical part and love, there has to be friendship, caring, trust, and respect. I am lucky to have that with my DH. I count those blessings everyday and thank God for them. Hope you are able to get outside and enjoy this day. Take your pup for a little walk (or a longer one) when you go home tonight.

Just finished a walk with Rolly on a school trial. Went for about 30 min. Some of it was brisk walking.

Laura, Good for you walking with your daughter. It must be nice to go with someone else than being alone.

Wouldn't wish that kind of era on anyone. That's so sad. Oh my low 70's sound so heavenly. My back is no longer hurting, thank God. It stopped about a couple of days ago, but lingered on for several days and was getting worried. Funny how things correct themselves. Believing yoga and resting helped it. Now back to weight lifting, nice and easy that is.

ReneeP, Nice to hear you are getting good weather as well. The sun is trying to shine today, but I think the clouds will win out. Enjoy your you tube yoga. Why not?
