For friends, new & old...

This is fun to read. :) Thanks, Boybert.

1. My second (and hopefully last) baby was 9 lb 11oz and I had him all natural--no drugs--holding on to a birthing ball and kneeling on the floor.

2. I've lived in several U.S. states and 2 countries outside the U.S. but consider myself Texan (though not there now).

3. The only place I'm flexible is my hips--refer back to #1.

Debbie!

Hey thanks, you are so sweet, like I said, I think I'm just a little "off" is all. :p I will post the matzo ball soup recipe on the OD kay?

What a fun thread! I loved reading about everyone's lives and interests. Thanks for starting this off, Debbie!

Emily -- That is so awesome about your patent! How impressive! And Shelley -- you are seriously one of the most interesting (and funny) people I know!

OK, so here are my things:

1. I've lived in San Diego my whole life, except for one year in France (where I taught English at a high school) and three years in Indiana (where I went to graduate school). (I'm fluent in French and semi-fluent in Italian.)

2. Last March, I had a book published (on an obscure topic -- British women writers of the late-18th century and Romantic period).

3. This July, my DH and I will celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary. We met our freshman year of college, when we were 18 years old.

And I have to add a fourth:

4. I've only been working out with Cathe since last March and posting on the forums since last summer, but am so thrilled to have met all of you wonderful folks!! I can't wait for the August RT to meet some of you in person!:)

Leanne, I never knew you were published!! I stand in awe of you, oh my goodness how incredible! And you are fluent in French too? Oh dear, ladies and gentlemen, we have a genius in our midst, along with Emily and her patent and the rest of you incredible women/men, wow, you all are pretty great.:+

*I just had a wonderful dog come into and out of my life and am sad
*My beautiful golden turns 3 years old today (5/7/08)
*It's Mother's Day this weekend and I get to both spoil my mom and spend time with her...we both win!!!!

1. I love animals of every kind:)

2. Work at an automotive repair shop, this june will be my 25th year.
was ASE certified for years but I let that run out. I now work in the office doing the accounting for 2 stores.

3. Was a gymnast in grade school and high school. Have been working out my whole life, love it!

Emily, You go girl!!

" I am obsessed with DH's pores, am constantly trying to squeeze the junk out of them."

Oh my goodness Tneah, this is me also! My DH is like "get away from me!"

1. DH and I got married 20 years ago today (happy anniversary, us!).

2. I was a group exercise instructor for 23 years (until about a year ago). I will probably go back to it some time. I miss it, but life is very busy right now, and I found that when I was teaching I ended up missing my own workouts. I have been lifting heavy weights and doing aerobics for nearly 30 years.

3. I am a late-blooming mom. I had my first and only child, a daughter, at the age of 41. This summer I will be 47 and she will be 6. She is amazing and the smartest person I have ever met.

This is great! :)

1) I've been married for 26 years to the same wonderful guy and we're only 45 years old.
2) My maiden name is the same as my married last name so I've been Kathy G. my entire life (and nope me and DH aren't related, lol!)
3) I love to workout....think about working out...read about working out...oh, and I also love to RUN! ;)

Weehoo, it took me long enough to get to the bottom to post!

1. I'm married to the same guy for 23 years and we're still hanging around each other!
2. I have a road bike, and two mountainbikes and I ride nearly every day (with my hubby).
3. I have two children that are jealous of my 3 bikes :p .

Plus, I have a parrot, I love to paint and garden and lately, I can't get enough of the way Cathe says: s*q*u*e*e*z*e !

Cool idea!
1) I was born and raised in Bklyn, NY.
2) I was married on my 21st birthday and have been married to the same man, goin on 8 years. So my birthday and anniversary is the same day. ;)
3) I know how to drive, but i'm too afraid to drive in NY. :)

I love this!

1. My husband and I met online: www.veggiedate.com I am 8 years younger than him so I didn't make the first "cut" because I was too young. He was in Bosnia with the Army and I was in Indiana going to school.

2. I wrote my dissertation on stay-at-home-dads

3. I've lived in Germany for 7 years with my husband and we're getting ready to move back to the States when he retires in 2009.

4. I love veggie Doners made with lots of veggies, feta cheese, and tzatziki on freshly made pita/flat bread. Yummy!

bitmover - yes in the very very south part of the bay, Gilroy, home of the Garlic Festival the, UGH UGH UGH, very last week in July = RT weekend.

Though I could have made it in to the August RT I have other things to spend the $ on this year. The plane flight from the West Coast costs more than the RT fees and DH would actually love a vacation to
}( .

If I can, I may try to set aside some funds for next year and see how it plays out. The last week of July will never be good for me as my 1st grandson was born last year at that time and we will always be doing a birthday party in addition to the fact that for at least a few years we are committed to volunteering at the Garlic Festival.

Maybe someday?

And are you a Sharks fan? Definitely a bummer, but at least the last game was a doozy:+

I wanna play...

1. DH and i met in Nov. 2000 on a blind date and was married in April of 2001!Now have two children together.

2. I have lived in GA my whole life, just not in one place;-)

3. Would LOVE to one day go back to school to further my education in the medical feild(but will have to wait until the kids are older)maybe becoming a medical assistant

1- I just moved back to my home town in North Carolina after living all over the US for the past 12 years. It is weird and good all at the same time.

2- I am going back to school (at the ripe old age of 41!) to be a physical therapy assistant.

3- I own over 200 pairs of shoes (Do you think I have a problem?? lol)
