This is a fun thread!:) I don't think I'm interesting, just a little "off" .:7

1. I have read the bible front to back--twice. Thats kinda strange isn't it?
2. I traveled across the USA, coast to coast in a broken down van, with three kids, two other adults and two dogs, all on 200 dollars and the grace of God.
3.I used to wear my hair, not in cornrows like Bo Derek, but in little tiny braids that fell all the way down my back. About three hundred of them to be exact. It would take three days to braid them, I wore scarves around my head and looked pretty cool.
4. I pierced my nipples only to take them out a week later.
5. I cook a mean matzo ball soup-sinkers, not floaters.
6. I am obsessed with DH's pores, am constantly trying to squeeze the junk out of them.
:p

Beavs, guess what? We know Shirley, our company (we have a supplement company and sponsored a funny car)raced a car and she was part of the crew/team that hung around the pits. She is a riot and can't hear very well, for obvious reasons.;)

Emily, I'm impressed with your patent! Are those massive earth movers LaTourneau machines by any chance?

OMG that's too funny! I'm always trying to "manscape" DH's eyebrows. He cowers and runs whenever I break out the tweezers. I have to pin him down to do it. Boy can he put up a fight! :p

The occasional peacock is our realtor's who happens to be a "neighbor" (who lives about three miles away or so as the crow flies) who escaped and ended up on our property and stayed for a few weeks. My six year old said, "Mom, he's *our* peacock now!" So beautiful (better than an occasional table), but noisy at night!

Sunshine 1528, you must live in the bay area, no? Very sad ending to s good season for the sharks! My husband plays roller hockey, too. Are you going on the road trip?

Tete, I too, got my hair cut in the last week and only one person has noticed! I think in my case that means it's a bad haircut and everyone is embarassed for me so pretending not to notice! I hope that's not the case for you! Brought home "Curly Girl" from the library today and can't wait to learn something!

1. I am new here and LOVING Cathe and the forums.
2. I am a crazy, nutty Bon Jovi fan - travelled to NJ last Nov by myself to see them, went to Mohegan Sun in CT to see them in March, and am obsessing over them coming to Boston in July!
3. I have a gorgeous, sweet, slightly emotionally disturbed cat named Princess who I adopted 4 years ago.

OMG! I checked Curly Girl out of the library today also!!!

(Oh, and don't worry about people not noticing your hair. It doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad cut...you'd be amazed how many clueless people there are out there who don't notice things like that!!)

Well, I work for Caterpillar, so everything I design goes pretty much just on Caterpillar/Elphinstone LHDs. I believe LeTourneau makes only above-ground / open pit mining machines, rather than underground machines. Their loaders are MUCH larger than the underground loaders (underground loaders have to be short enough to fit through mine tunnels, which are generally 12-15 feet high or so). :)

What an interesting group we have here! Too cool! I'm totally impressed about Emily having a patent, and being a kind of engineer that I don't even understand. LOL

1. I'm an Aunt of 2 (almost 3, DSis is due May 30!) of the most beautiful and sweet nieces in the whole wide world.

2. I've lived with a man for 10 years who is 28 years older than I am without any romantic/physical involvement...and it works wonderfully for both of us. He's a best friend, big brother, and therapist (he's a counselor) rolled up into one. No, I'm not gay..and neither is he. ;) It just works for some bizarre reason.

3. At 33 years old I'm finally starting to feel grown up, self-confident and finding an identity beyond my family. My family consisists of my mom, 2 sisters, 2 brothers-in-law, almost 3 nieces who live 1000 miles away in Memphis. I moved to the Marco Island, Florida area 11 months ago- and love it!!

4. Oh yeah, I have this way of making things complicated and can be long winded. ;)

1. I love dogs but will probably never have one.

2. I love to read but rarely do.

3. Germany is one of the few places in the world I never want to see.

1. I was born and raised in Jamaica
2. I have a 3 year old girl - Arianna
3. I am A SHOPAHOLIC AND AN EXERCISE FREAK
