Looking to purchase this one since it's on the rotation for next week. Anyone care to comment on it, yay or nay. I need to order it fairly soon to get it in time.
I really enjoy CTX. The workouts are a little shorter so it seems as if you can push yourself harder! It is also a really fun mix of cardio. I also have and LOVE the CTX Upper Body DVD!
Yes, get CTX. You get 5 intense half-hour cardio workouts followed by weight training (some include ab work at the end), all for under an hour. And you get CTX Leaner Legs, a torturous leg workout. It's a complete, six-day rotation.
I like CTX because it's so versatile. I use the cardio segment when I'm short on time, or I do the cardio right after doing a split routine (such as GS). It's a great series.
I'm not crazy about the entire set but there are several things to recommend it:
1. All the workouts are about 45 minutes so they are great when you are short on time.
2. Leaner Legs is great
3. CTX Upperbody is a great all upperbody workout
Hi Tami,
Personally, I was a little disapointed by CTX. I did not find the cardio intense enough form my taste (I do step only) and I do not enjoy the strength portions as much as the other workouts that I have (like S&H, GS or MM). for me, it my not really worth th money.
I think it depends on your goals and how you like to workout.

I love CTX, because as others have commented, it is versatile. I've never actually used it as is. I like the upper body split, Leaner Legs, and then I double up the cardios to make them closer to an hour in length. I also like to use the shorter cardios with other shorter premixes from other series.
In the summer, I sometimes use the cardio portions for a shorter, intense workout and then go for a walk for the rest of my cardio just to get outside and enjoy the summer weather. Meaner Legs is in my leg rotation on a regular basis. I sometimes will use the upper body workout when doing a 2-day split. I think it is highly versatile. I purchased the VHS versions over time on ebay and thery're what got me back into doing Cathe regularly. I'm not so sure I'd put out the expense for the dvd version since 4-day split kindof replaces CTX. Guess it depends on your workout goals. If you're looking for a week-long split workout -- you could go with the Timesaver dvd as it has the same concept, just that it takes different parts of another series and splices them together (and it's cheaper).

I thnk its so versatile too!
I use it for cardio only days...Leaner Legs is one of the toughest leg workouts she has (imo) + the strength is awesome used as 3 or 4 day slpits and/or 1 part per day.... Its a series that I think is an un-sung hero
Dont' reach for this one very often but it's a good series. For me it had too much hi/lo which I hate but the workouts are very intense even though shorter and the weight work is good.
