Sorry, it has taken so long to get back to you, I don't get on here much. If you would like to e-mail me I will send you an attachment of my contract. I take New Years Eve, & day off, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving + Fri following & Christmas Eve & Day off for holidays. I work Mon - Fri & allow for up to 3 weeks through out the yr which I usually don't take that much. Honestly I never would work on holidays but I would say YES charge extra. I would say double pay for that day. Here in New York family day cares have to be licensed.
I'm more than happy to send you a copy to read just make a note in memo line so I know to open it ; )

I know you have been doing childcare for 15 years. I'm trying to update my policy handout book and want to make sure I don't take to many days off. What holidays and days do you take off, and if your willing to offer services on holidays would you charge extra? Hope you can help!! By the way your idea was fabalous, the mother was so touch when I gave the little boy the going away gift...Thank you!
