I use a rink shovel, 36 inches wide. Snow more often is light than heavy and wet so it moves quickly. Scoops are great too. Nothing small is worth the extra effort.

I had one of those when I lived in the city; was great for sidewalks for light snowfalls- my neighborhood was a walker's haven so even light snows had to be cleared promptly to avoid footprints compacting the snow & making it icy.
