Cathe workouts you HAVE NOT tried

mini-natty

Cathlete
Being fairly new to Cathe (I found her May 2011) I'm still working up to my collection. I have yet to purchase/try:

Butts & Guts
Gym Style (upper body section)
CTX
Drill Max
Low Impact Circuit
Cardio Hits & Classics

Just to name a few .

Just curious as to which Cathe workouts all of you have not tried and the reason(s) why.

(p.s-NO ENABLING ;);):D)

Natasha

Natasha you have got to get B&G.....it rules hardcore! Oops I'm enabling haha!

I have CF and TTM but haven't tried them yet. As you know I'm pregnant and I was sticking to LIS only when I got them. Being 38w3d now I'm only walking and doing yoga. I'm so pumped to try them though after my little man gets here. Another one I bought when prego was Gym Style Legs.....that one is waiting for me too :)

Marie

I don't have. Ctx or butts n guts or classics.. mma fusion..boxing.. or mma kickbox.... cardio circuit or I know there's more another few more I can't remember ..

I don't have Slow & Heavy series, but have Gym Style so don't feel the need. I don't have the early, early stuff, don't like Body Max (original) - got rid of it because it was too hard and too long!! Of course, it was on VHS so there weren't the magic premixes like today;) But, I have everything else!! cuz I can't ignore the pre-orders. My collection is so large now!! I keep saying I don't need anymore, then she comes out with new stuff that I go, oh, I could definitely use that one..and that one...

I have been doing Cathe for I think 20 years:eek::eek: I believe. I bought my first tape at Eaton's in Winnipeg (just added that as I know you are Canadian Natasha). By the late 1990's I was on her website and doing all preorders so have every one of Cathe's workouts and love them all. :D:D
I often do the monthly rotations

You can't go wrong with buying any of Cathe's workouts. Just finished the September rotation and it was fun doing some of the older workouts that I hadn't done in a few years like MIC,MIS, Step Max, Cardio Kicks.

I thought maybe MIC wouldn't be as hard as I remember but it was! I think MIC is the hardest Cathe workout!

I have been hoarding her workouts for the past few months and am working my way through my collection. I now have 37 Cathe DVD cases (which means more than 37 workouts since quite a few of them have multiple workouts on them)--and that's not counting STS which I own, but haven't done.

However, I am avoiding some of them-- all of the Imax workouts and Body Max 2--and all of the other step workouts. I don't like complex step choreography so I will never buy them. (But I do like her basic step choreography like in TTM and LIS Athletic Training.)

I love all of the ones I do own (that I've done--like I said, working my through my collection). Did Drill Max for the first time this morning and I ADORE it!

oooh, I like this thread.

I have lots and lots of Cathe. I also have the following but haven't yet tried:
Imax 3
Hardcore Extreme (I've tried a couple of things on there but not much)
Lowmax
the two step workouts on 4DS
Rhythmic Step
Step Blast I've tried in part but have not mastered
On the Terminator DVD, I haven't tried the other two workouts

I am step challenged and just haven't gotten around to learning the steps down on these ones.

What I still want to buy:
Circuit Blast
Cardio Fusion (I think)
MMA Kickboxing

Natasha,
As you know, I now have, but haven't tried, Pyramids!!!! (you enabler, you ;))!!!! That will change next week when I start my new rotation! I am SO looking forward to it!
And yes, as Marie says, you must get B&G; and you know how I feel about Gym Styles :p!

I have but have not tried out as yet:

[*]Hardcore extreme
[*]Body max2
[*]STS
[*]CTX
[*]Terminator
  • Drill max

    To purchase:
  • MMA
  • LBB
  • Push and pull
  • Pyramid
  • Circuit Blast
  • cardio kick
  • Step blast

    To Natasha,

Here is my Enabling input ...BnG is a must have problem area incinerator....You will need a wheel chair after completing the main program lol. Gym style is also a must have for hardcore heavy *flirt* ;-)

I've got nearly all of Cathe's workouts. I have not tried Low Impact Circuit, High Step Training or Drill Max straight through. I have done the upper body and total body strength portions of those dvd's and the Drill Max double cardio premix is an awesome sweatfest. I just prefer straight weights or straight cardio most of the time. I do like Afterburn and the Metabolic Training concept though.

I have a book shelf with all my dvd's on it and when I use one I put it at the beginning. Then I look around to see what I feel like doing on any given day and by doing that rotate some. Core Max and Stretch Max don't get used much but I keep them all!

Interesting thread.

Callling all B&G Lovers!

Ok all you enabler's, what makes B&G so special/different from all of Cathe's other LB workouts? I mean Gym Style legs is a KILLER-- same concept right? STS Legs (all the legs discs) are so effective and produce great results and DOMS. Why is my Cathe collection not complete without B&G? I already have a slew of LB workouts .

BTW, I find it very hard to understand how anyone can have a Cathe workout in their possession and not de-virginize that baby! As soon as I get a Cathe workout in my hands, I'm all up in that sucker ASAP .

  • Nathalie,

YOU MUST PURCHASE STEP BLAST. MUST. GET OUT YOUR CREDIT CARD AND MAKE THAT PURCHASE RIGHT NOW. IT IS THE BEST CATHE STEP WORKOUT OF ALL TIME. NOT KIDDING. OK, GO DO IT. DO NOT REPORT BACK UNTIL YOU HAVE PURCHASED THIS WORKOUT.

LOL! I agree! The only reason I haven't done a bunch of Cathe workouts in my collection is because I have literally hoarded them in a short period of time--and it takes time to do them all! But I have already set up a rotation so that I can get through all that I have left by the first week in November--I will be doing Cathe workouts everyday and I am looking forward to each one. Next week is my 4DS week! I'm excited!

Great question.

I have just about every single one of Cathe's dvds with the exception of:

CTX: I am sorry to say that I actually did purchase this set and had it, but really did not care for it so I sold it on ebay :(. This is the only workouts of Cathe's that I can say this about.

I also do not have any of the STS MMA boxing stuff. I just am not interested . However, I have all the other STS dvds.

ANd last but not least, even though I pre-ordered the whole Gym style series and received it, I also sold the upper body Gym style workouts on ebay....

I have CTX and the Gym Styles and have yet to try them. I'm thinking I want to do CTX soon, though, since I preordered XTrain and they're supposed to be similar.

Natty - I think that B&G is similar in concept to LBB. If you have LBB, you don't *NEED* B&G. I actually prefer LBB to B&G because I like the cardio blasts in LBB and I prefer the music. But if you want to add to your collection, go for it! :p

Natasha

I have 3 of those DVD and let me tell u when I say u will work it help me lose part of my weight in less than 2 months

I think the only ones I don't have are Body Fusion, Total Body Stretching and Ab Hits. Plus, the really early stuff (Wedding video and Step in Motions) My collection's pretty well rounded. :p:):eek::p:eek:

To De-virginize :))

Ok all you enabler's,

BTW, I find it very hard to understand how anyone can have a Cathe workout in their possession and not de-virginize that baby! As soon as I get a Cathe workout in my hands, I'm all up in that sucker ASAP .

LOL, Good question...I do take time to master moves of my workout. I like taking time to really get familiar with them. At the same time I will always have few workout awaiting for try out because it does keep me going. Fitness for me is a lifestyle now!

As to you using this de-virginize concept, I will be posting an interesting thread on women health later on today. Watch out!:D:D:D

Butt and Guts has long floor workout which I think LBB has not! LBB has a bonus bar which BnG has not. Various moves hit your muscles in different ways and they get more benefit from the exposure. As I like variety in my routine and my legs need looking after :p:p:p, it certainly worth investing into the largest MUSCLE. so I would aim to acquire both.
