Cathe workouts you HAVE NOT tried

Ok all you enabler's, what makes B&G so special/different from all of Cathe's other LB workouts? I mean Gym Style legs is a KILLER-- same concept right? STS Legs (all the legs discs) are so effective and produce great results and DOMS. Why is my Cathe collection not complete without B&G? I already have a slew of LB workouts .

Natty,

For me the big difference with butts and guts is that you do a lot more work using your own body weight or light weights. It also has great premixes on it and firewalkers. I also love the warm up for butts and guts.

Hum if it uses lighter weight or body weight yet gives DOMS I may need it! I have feet that gave a small bone missing on outside of foot... past surgery that makes balancing with heavy weight a big challenge and that causes improper form.
I was under impression that it was heavy with tons of reps.

Hi Natasha!

I agree - Butts & Guts is a MUST HAVE. I get the most DOMS from this workout than any other of Cathe's lower body workouts. There is just something about it - I don't know if it's the way the moves are sequenced or what, but when I do the whole workout through (standing and floorwork) I am DONE at the end! The abs section is also great, as are the bonus sections (stability ball abs, more legs, etc. - great little add ons to other workouts.) When I first did B&G four years ago I couldn't believe how hard it was! After doing more and more of Cathe's workouts (including STS) over the past few years my stamina for B&G has improved immensely! But it still hurts so good when I go back to it after not doing it for awhile!

Some of Cathe's workouts I don't have are some of her original ones. I also don't have Kick Punch and Crunch which I think I may have to order....I like the variety of kickboxing every now and again! I noticed it was yesterday's daily deal but I was a good girl and held back...maybe next time!:) I am very excited for XTrain!!!!!

I have purchased or gotten in trade almost all Cathe's workouts except for some earlier ones (CTX and many of the compilation dvds where she combines sections of several workouts). I acquired many of her step dvds like Step Blast, Imax 2, etc and wound up trading them away as step choreography isn't my thing.
I do still have Athletic Step and Body Max 2, though. I can't seem to part with those even though they bothered my knees when I did them! They are sooo much fun and I was finally starting to get the choreography a little!
I can handle the moves in Low Impact Circuit, but I don't do it too much. My heart rate didn't get as high as I would like when I did it.

Ones I have but haven't tried yet:
Low Max
High Step Challenge

Like I said, I don't have a lot of her earliest workouts. I am also missing Gym Styles Chest and Triceps. I'm not sure I need that one though...push up bonanza!

Okay, I know you said no enabling but you know me! I can't help it! :p Butts and Guts is indeed worth having! The warm up with the stability ball is so unique and adds a nice dimension with a little extra stretching from the momentum of the ball. Like others said, it's a mix of weighted and unweighted work that hits the glutes from all angles. I did the standing portion on Saturday and added 20 minutes of STS disc 12 and my glutes are still on fire today! You practically need to sit in an ice bath afterwards when you first start doing B&G! Honestly, I prefer Cathe's newest lower body dvds over the older ones. I know it's blasphemy...but I'm not as crazy about Gym Style legs or older ones like Legs and Glutes. LBB, B&G and lower body Trisets are my all time faves!
Drill Max is also one of my favorites! I just LOVE it! :D

B&G enabler's!

Thanks to everyone who pushed B&G on me ;). I feel that it will be welcomed addition to my collection soon ;). Right now I've discovered Butt Bible (I was enabled for that too :D) and let me tell ya ladies, I could not walk properly for 3 days!!! And it's free on youtube ;).

I did Low Max today . I [heart] it :D. Tisk, tisk, you are missing out on a goodie! MY.LEGS.WERE.SHAKING.

Oh my, you must get KPC!!!! MUST. I like kickboxing and have yet to find a more well rounded, fun, satisfying kickboxing workout that even remotely resembles KPC! IMO anyway ;).

For those who sell workouts on ebay (for whatever reason) do you have selling regret afterwards?? What makes you want to acquire the workout again??

Next week is my 4DS week! I'm excited!

Have fun with 4DS!!! I absolutely LOVE that series!! So many fabulous premixes and lots of ways to mix & match to suit your needs. The step workouts are a bit (ok a lot) tricky, but once learned very enjoyable IMO. The music is the BOMB and the weight segments are incredible! I am doing the UB premix from 4DS 1X/week just so I can lift heavy :D. One word of advice about legs, you might want to add in an extra day, especially if you're used to doing 2X LB workouts/week.

Have fun!

Natasha you have got to get B&G.....it rules hardcore! Oops I'm enabling haha!

I have CF and TTM but haven't tried them yet. As you know I'm pregnant and I was sticking to LIS only when I got them. Being 38w3d now I'm only walking and doing yoga. I'm so pumped to try them though after my little man gets here. Another one I bought when prego was Gym Style Legs.....that one is waiting for me too :)

Marie you look awesome! I'm so excited for you! Baby is just around the corner :):).

Take care mamma ;)

Thanks Natasha! We are soooo excited! You are so sweet! Did you see the pics I posted in the STS First Time thread? If not you should check those out. My BF took them. It was a great day :)

I am adoring it, too! The more Cathe workouts I do the more favorites I accumulate--I can't decide which is my absolute favorite anymore. It could possibly be this series! I will say I hate the two step workouts--but I knew I would when I bought it because I hate Cathe's complex step routines (anyone's complex step routines, actually, not just Cathe!). But I did them first thing (the premix Double Cardio) to see what I thought.

Everything else so far, I adore (including Cardio Power--LOVE IT!). I've put together this awesome 4DS plan for this week where I work every body part 2times, do cardio everyday and never do the same complete workout twice due to the awesome premixes. I am loving it so far. I did Kickbox + Lower body/Core this morning and wow! What an incredible workout! My butt and hamstrings are screaming (in a good way!).

What a versatile series (and super fun!).

Glad You are loving 4DS....I like the music (especially the oriental one) very much at such point that I do reach for the step segments as an add on. I did the Kickbox for the first time last week. I love 4DS. Like you I find it difficult to choose my cathe's favourite workout...They are pure gems...We really can not go wrong with cathe's gems and there is always something for everyone! I agree with Natasha on leg segment I will add another segment next time I do the program. Legs need full hardcore attention to really get deep into muscles.

Kind Regards,

Nathalie
