    Any golfers here?

Honeybunch, Thanks a bunch! :) I hope to take my first lesson in March, but the weather on weekends will dictate. I'm working on the Personal Trainer Manual right now too- don't know if I'll be ready by test day (May 3!) so we'll see how the schedule goes!

How many Girl Scout cookies did you eat today?

I tell them I have no use for the cookies but then I make a small contribution. ($5.00) They usually appreciate that. Same with the giant chocolate bars many school fund raisers use.

Can MIC ever REALLY be turned into a LO impact routine ?

The first time I do it, it will be! Can you believe I've had it for 6 months and I'm afraid to try it. I work out on a slab with carpet/pad over it. I'm fine with IMax so I don't know why MIC intimidates me!

    Changed mind about job!

A-jock, Are you in the prosecuter's office right now? That would be a real big jump. Anyway I'm glad you have your job to stay in. I have a nice job right now too and I'm so thankful for it. -Connie

I am so frustrated with Rhythmic Step

It took me about ten times through to feel like I almost knew it. I did it about twice a week at first. That worked for me though because my cardio capacity was at the same place my choreo was! After RS I got the CTX series and they seemed so easy! I think RS is Cathe's most intricate step...

I Guess The Bottom Line Is

Yes, I do compare myself constantly with everybody here! And the workouts some of you do, whoa! But I know that since I have only been working out for about 2 years, and plan on being a lifelong exerciser, that more intensity will come later (or it will not). It is a discovery journey. Yeah...

HELP, no results in 2 months!

Step Heat is probably one of the easiest ones. None of them are too easy! But they are so fun and they grow on you! You need a step for Step Heat of course. Cardio Kicks is awfully fun too, and it requires no equipment. It's easy to learn but tough! That cardio leaves me "Flyin'high" on...

    Cathe Videos

There is one step tape where the heel-toe-diagonal over, jack, heel toe diagonal over jack is broken down and taught slowly. Which tape is it? Step Jam?

    Cathe t-shirts

If I remember right, Cathe posted that she was devoting all her attention to the new videos now, but that it sounded like a good idea to her!

Too much cardio stopping muscle growth?

A rambling reply! Hi Christi, I know where you're coming from! Try just eating the eggs every other morning instead of every morning! Get another book and see how the authors differ and what they agree on! The food part is where I need the most help. I am in some deeply ingrained habits and I...

    Gradually....OK

RE: Connie Francine- Thanks for the e-mail! One way is to go to your picture page. Then put your cursor in the address bar and right click, choose "copy" and then go to your profile page. (Make sure the picture is small. You may have to shrink a picture on the computer before uploading it.)...

    Lunges are still tough

I have the same problem. Do you have Power Hour? I find the lunges in Power hour to be even more difficult. I can hardly make it through the warmup! I find it heartening to hear Cathe admit she's feeling them too! One way I work it is to do the lunges with no weight at all until I can do all...

    I LOVE Rhythmic Step!

I love it too! Each time I do it I really enjoy it. I have just now started to use 2 risers instead of one. It's a whole new workout!

    Gym vs Home Workouts

LAST EDITED ON Oct-19-02 AT 01:22AM (Est)[p]I think variety is the key. Each one has what the other one doesn't have. If we were all doing gym machines all the time, we'd outgrow that too IMO. I have a hard time believing that people really *need* something that costs so much, i.e. gym...

    What is wrong with me?????

Francine that was such a motivating post! I'm printing that one out! I'm another one who can't stand pre-planned rotations, except for S&H, which I do in 1-week (one go-round) increments. I have a log I made up where I check off cardio, abs, upper body (divided into all 5 sections: back...

    Cardio Kicks V CTX kickboxing

Different moves-- CTX contains a great power segment with power scissors, about 32 reps times 2 (a rest in between). Also it has-- not elbow strikes, but these sideways punches where you actually bat sideways instead of punching (what're they called?) Cardio Kicks does not have these. Also...
