    I donate platelets at the Red Cross every other Week which takes about 2 hours with a needle in each arm, I get to watch a movie and the nurses are sooo nice.     My understanding is that you really need to grind it. If you eat it whole, it just passes through you. I eat it in my steel cut oats in the a.m. also - it adds a nice flavor ~ added benefit! ~Tracy~
