    January Rotation - 1-18

Good afternoon all! Well - I couldn't quite get myself out of bed this morning in time to get a work out in. I had planned "treat night" (out for my favorite pizza), but did manage to talk myself into working out instead (yay me, she says, patting herself on the back). I think this is the...

    January Rotation - 1-17

Reporting in: Got through ME + jacks and jump rope (faking the rope part). My calves were screaming for mercy. I didn't have time to stretch much, but did spend a little extra time in a very hot shower. Body Max tomorrow is going to be tough... have to be at work at 7:15. I have to keep...

    January Rotation Jan 16

Posting for accountability (must get better at this!). I missed 2 days of workouts last week. So, I did L&G + a CTX cardio workout yesterday, and did PUB + a 40 minute run (including a HUGE hill) this morning. 550 and 675 calories burned, respectively. As others have mentioned, I'm...

    January rotation - Jan 4

I missed my workout yesterday, so I'm on day 2: low max and CTX kickbox cardio. My legs were begging for mercy after low max/during kickbox, but I made it through (~725 calories burned). Planning on (and fearing a little)IMAX & MIC in the am.

    Lentil Soup……......

One more for your consideration. This is from Dr. Dean Ornish's Book, "Everyday Cooking". Its one of my absolute favorites, and so healthy. I've also provided recipes for suggested sides/dessert. Suggested meal: Hearty Barley Lentil Soup Toasted Whole Wheat Bagels Spinach and Mushroom...

    November Rotation

Also posted in Rotation Forum, but just in case.... I did a search, but couldn't find guidelines for the "interval run" on Thursday. I understand the concept, but am looking for a little instruction (i.e.: how long do you run high intensity/low intensity). Help?

    "Good" balsamic vinegar

RE: Mary - I do a fair amount of cooking (and reading about cooking!) I have 2 kinds of balsamic vinegar on hand at all times. One is a "real" aged balsamic, at a cost of ~$20. I use it only for dipping, salads, etc. I cook with Whole Foods 365 brand. Its a fabulous "grocery store"...

Thanks, ladies. Off to order CTX now.... And Marietta - yes, I live in Kansas City (but am originally from Nebraska, so I'm a football loving Cornhusker at heart!)

Help me decide - new step or CTX Series?

Ok - referencing the current thread re: difference between the Reebok step and the "Original Step". http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=4&topic_id=196637&mesg_id=196637&listing_type=search I've been holding back on purchasing the CTX series. Partially because it was on...

    August 05' Rotation: Boot Camp

This is what I love about Cathe: the variety. Last month's rotation was more of an "express" style - hitting the total body, but recognizing summer time constraints. This rotation is quite nearly the opposite end of the spectrum. One designed to challenge even the most seasoned exercisers...
