Gym Style - Chest and Triceps

WOW. I really needed some new tapes in my rotations. This workout was TOUGH!!!! My chest is still shaking. This is by far the hardest Chest/Tri workout I have done. I am really glad I bought this series. I'm sure Back, Shoulders and Biceps is going to be just as hard.
 
GS-CT is a GREAT workout. The chest work alone kills me. And when I get to the triceps segment, my chest is shaking during those french presses. The last time I did GS-CT, I did the weight work for chest then did push-ups up. I had to take longer rests between sets. Got through all of them, but it was tough. Like Cathe says, "I was borderline there...":) Great DOMS the day after.

I average DOMS for three days after GS C&T. I love it. Definitely one of the most thorough workouts. I like GS BSB as well. My back feels very thoroughly worked out with that one!
 
I have been doing the October rotation with these workouts and have seen some good results. I love the workouts... although sometimes when Cathe mentions the bonus burns I cringe... hehe... but dang they work....

That's funny Anne b/c I tend to cringe also whenever I hear "Bonus". The funny thing is I know it's coming, but when she says that dreaded word, I can't help but to cringe or curse.

I can't remember what w/o I was doing, but it was during bicep curls with a heavy bbell, it started getting to the point where I actually had to use the "F" word. Oh I know which one it was, it was ME, when Cathe started laughing holding that damn bbell. I was like, yeah right, ________ that. But I did it and I did it twice Sat. pass.

I just did this one today after not having done it in a while. It is one awesome workout! I think the stretch segment is better than Cathe's usual.
 
I also love this workout. I did the premix Chest & Tricep Superset, and went as heavy as I could. 20lbs on DB Chest Press and 15lbs on the flys. Talk about an awesome workout!!}(

hi i have a question about this workout. the collage video catalogue said chest & tricepts has a series of 72 pushups in the beginning.. is this true???

Its true! They are done in a series of drop sets. You start with 16, rest, on to 14, rest, etc. 16 + 14 + 12 + 10 ... + 4 + 2 = 72.

Always seems to me like the rests in between get shorter as you go on. Of course, you do the set of 4 in a 2-2 count, and the set of 2 in a 4 count. Cathe is evil, pure evil.

By the way, I LOVE this workout!
 
Yes, 72! They are done in drop sets, starting with 16 reps, then 14, 12,10.... The rests between sets is SHORT - I push pause and take about triple the time. Then when Cathe gets to the set of 4 reps, it's done on a 2-2 count; the set of 2 reps is done at a 4-4 count.

Oh, regarding my extra time during rests, after the set of 12, I get up and get a drink of water. But by golly, I get through them all on my toes!

I'm supposed to do this one in a few minutes. Some days I feel ready for those push ups and some days I dread them. I get so MAD if I have to drop down to my knees.x(
