Fitness Freak December Rotation for 12/17/08

Debbie - I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but I've been doing your December rotation, and have been loving it! I didn't get up early enough this morning, so I'll be doing today's Chest/Shoulders/Tri premix this afternoon. Like others, I'm really enjoying how you've changed up the...

Fitness Freak's Dec rotation for 12/11/08

I haven't been checking in regularly, but wanted to add that I am really enjoying this rotation! Due to a difference in my rest day, I did GS Biceps x2 this morning. That was killer! I am finding that I really like focusing in on 1 or 2 muscle groups and doubling up the workouts. It changes...

    Hungry!

I had the same problem when I wanted to take 10 pounds off. Initially, I increased the cardio in my rotations -- and overate. I then tried one of Cathe's slow/heavy rotations with reduced cardio. Did the trick for me. You might try varying the weight work to cardio ratio to see if it has an...

    chilean sea bass

No recipe here, but chiming in... Sea bass is overfished; Whole Foods is one of the only sources I have found that sources their sea bass from a fishery that uses certified sustainable fishing techniques. Of course, it does run $25.99 a pound around here...

    Yummy protein shake!

Just one more THANK YOU for posting about this product. I bought the chocolate fudge pudding at GNC today, and had if for my dessert this evening. I want to like the mixer bottle. Can't wait to try some of the other flavors. (I found the cost at GNC to be comparable to the online sites...

    Fitday for PC

Yes, I have the Fitday program, and it does allow you to enter your custome exercises and related calorie burn (I have entered several base on my HRM). I have found the Fitday program to be extremely useful (I also used to use the online version). My ONLY complaint: it doesn't track vitamin K...

FitnessFreak - 1 hr rotation for fat lost

Like you, I really enjoy Debbie's rotations. In fact, I'm doing one of hers right now. Since Debbie can't get back to you with a personal rotation right now, I thought you might want to consider Cathe's "timesaver" rotation. Although this is technically a "maintenance" focused rotation, it...

    HRM

I use a Polar heart rate monitor. It does track the calories I burn, based on my heart rate, weight and fitness level (the latter calculated based on my resting heart rate and VO2max (max capacity for oxygen consumption). Polar makes several models, which is helpful based on the number of...

How many calories burned doing Drill Max?

I am 42, 5'6 1/2", 118, ~17.5% body fat (just completed a caliper/body comp analysis last week). According to my HR monitor, I burned just over 700 calories the first time I tried drill max (I had to modify 'a few' drills) - I work out 6/days a week, and IMO, pretty high intensity. This really...

    building cardio endurance

I'd vote for IMAX 2. Step routines are very basic/easy to master, and the intervals are great. IMAX 3 has much more difficult step routines, and the rests between intervals are MUCH shorter.

Which rotation has success with weight loss?

Are you doing enough weight training? Before I turned 40, I made a pledge to myself to lose those 10 pounds I'd gained over the years. I couldn't get the weight to budget until a really increased the amount of weight work I was doing. The attached rotation (October, 2005) includes at least 2...
