Which rotation has success with weight loss?

Cathlete
Hello,

I am looking for anyone who successfully used a rotation to lose weight.

If so, would you tell me which rotation you used and approximately how much weight you lost?

I am unsuccessful at losing my last 10 pounds.}(

I work out at a gym approximately 3-4 days a week. I do 1 or 2 days of cycle, 1 day of total conditioning, and 1 day of cardio kickboxing.

On the days I can't get to the gym, I use my Cathe workouts. I wonder if I am not doing them in an effective order.

I have:

KickMax
KPC/Legs & Glutes
Bootcamp/Muscle Endurance
PLB/PUB
Rhythmic Step/IMAX/MIC
Cross Train Xpress
CoreMax
StretchMax

With all of this, I still can't get my weight to budge.

Thanks in advance for any advice given!!

Michelle

Michelle, I don't know if I can help you with a rotation or anything, but how long have you been doing the exercises at the gym? What I mean is, have you tried using different cardio equipment or upping the intensity? I lost 10 lbs recently after a plateau and I did it simply by switching to running for a month. I was only using the elliptical for 3 months and after not seeing any more changes, switched to running and BAM!! Results.

Thank you both for your suggestions.

I haven't been running because I have severe hip pain. I went to the chiropractor and had some x-rays taken and WOW!!! I can completely see why I have hip pain!!

My pelvis is very mis-aligned. Also, my last vertebrae is very tilted.

Due to this, I can't run yet until my hip and lower back are better.

That is why I do cycle at the gym. That cardio doesn't hurt my hips like running does.

Also, I will look at the October rotation because I could increase the weight work.

I can't believe how much trouble I have losing weight. I am 36 years old and about the time I turned 33 I really noticed that weight does not come off nearly as easy as it had in the past.

I am going to take the advice and as soon as I am cleared, I am going to start running again. I am also going to do more weight training!

I will let you know my results!

Thanks sooooooo much!

Michelle, I'm 37 and I've really noticed the past few years that it's really hard to get the weight off. I too am struggling with the dreaded 'last 10 pounds'! Hopefully some of these suggestions will work for me too - thanks guys!

Hi there- I am 42 yrs old and I can tell you try to lose it now -the sooner the better (I had my last child when I was 32 and am kicking myself for being lazy for 8 yrs. before doing anything to lose the weight)- I have been struggling with the last 10 lbs. for 2 years now and it just is not going anywhere- but I am still working hard on it- I am hoping to "up" my cathe workouts and see if that will do the trick- deb:) x(

I'm just finding this thread! Am I too late to comment?

I'm 37, 5'2" and have been the same weight (110pds) for over the last twenty years...my body seems to LOVE the weight I am at, and nothing I do seems to help me to get rid of that awful 5!

Where's the club? Sign me up! :*

Have any of you guys found the Miracle in this last month? Or even a clue?

The rotation i'm doin now is Jan '06 Lets work! If that doesnt get rid of any weight i dont know what will:) I'm on week 2 and i'm already at the weight i want to be but it really is leaning me out:)! The only thing every workout is 90 min it's kind of hard to find time i just have to get up extra early.

Suggestion: 3 interval workouts per week... leave at least 24 hours between each... 70-90 minutes each was what it took for me...

Hi Michelle. I am pretty much in the same boat with you but have been doing the below rotation for a couple of weeks now and my weight has finally started to budge....very slowly, but I think that is the best that I can hope for these days. I'm 35 by the way.

Anyway, I am currently doing this:

Monday: circuit - BootCamp, SJP or HSTA
Tues: cardio - KPC, LowMax, Imax 2 or RS
Wed: total body - Power Hour, PUB/PLB or ME
Thurs: off
Friday: circuit
Sat: cardio
Sun: total body
Monday: off

I usually just pick what workout I feel like doing that falls into the category for the day. I have also started tracking my calories in (via sparkpeople.com) vs. calories out (via HR monitor) and have tried to keep the balance at 1300-1400 a day.

Like I said, it's finally coming off slowly, but it's better than it not coming off at all.

HTH - good luck!

Thanks for the rotation. I have many videos that I can use to plug into these categories.

I guess it is good to hear that other people are dealing with the same thing and I like to hear what has worked for others.

Michelle

Hi Michelle. One of the reasons reasons I started doing this rotation, other than to see if it would break my plateau, is that I had so many videos & DVD's that I felt like I wasn't getting to or that I forgot that I even had!

I ended up getting one of those white erasable boards and hanging it in my workout area and I listed all of the workouts I have and separated them into these three categories. Now depending on what day I'm on, I just look at the list and pick a workout.

So far so good.

Good luck!
