I think she looks like Sandra Bullock too, the eyes and the dark hair...

    Anyone like to row?

I think rowing is great for cross training. (I have also been looking at the Concept Rowers, but have no room for it right now). When I used to go to the gym I'd get on the stair stepper and then do the rowing machine for a few minutes. Now I mostly run outside but wish I could row more!!!

    Working out with pets

Ouch! That is a funny story, but only because everyone was ok when it was all over. Good thing no one was looking! That's probably the last thing you needed to worry about, but it's probably the 1st thing I would have thought of... Anyway, I wanted to share my not so painful sounding (for me...

    No Barbell

You probably don't NEED a barbell. I did the PS series for months before I bought a barbell, but when I did get that barbell, it felt like a different workout. I don't know if it was a harder workout, but it added variety, and kept me interested in the videos I had already been doing for so...

    Where to buy medicine balls?

Walmart has a 3lb ball for around $7.50 and a 5 lb ball for around $14.50. They also had a 10lb ball, but I didn't even look at that one, because if Cathe is using an 8lb., I'll probably need a 3lb.!!

    I think I'm a Step Moron!

Don't feel bad, I'm a Step Moron too, but I prefer to call myself "uncoordinated" instead! I know it's not step, but just to tell you how uncoordinated I am, I get so proud during the warmups on the PS series when I can almost do exactly what Cathe is doing!

?? for Runners re Marathon training

Hi, You sound like you are doing good so far. 20 miles per week/9 min. mile pace is about where I was before I started training for the Marine Corps Marathon. I found a great marathon training program in Runner's World Magazine. I trained for about 3 1/2 months, never really running more than...

    Classics DVD Update

RE: CTX Upper Body DVD? Thanks Kathy! It's just that I'm not the most coordinated person in the world, so I was hoping I could get the upper body without the cardio, but I guess I will have to get the VHS tape if that's what I want. Thanks for answering, Laura

    Is it just me?

RE: Me too! I felt the same exact way - sore 2 days after. I was using heavy weights and I couldn't figure out why I wasn't sore. Well about 2 days later it kicked in, and I knew I had used some good weights....

    AB tape suggestions please!

Hi Aimee, I have a couple suggestions for you. Tony Little's Target Training Stomach Reduction video is great. It's nothing fancy, just basic exercises which hit your abs from every angle. He has a time clock on the screen, so it is good for beginner to advanced. This is one of his older...

    Joyce Vedral ??

RE: Bottoms Up! Thank you so much for all your opinions. I value the opinion of Cathe fans, because you guys know what a good workout is! I do agree that Cory Everson's Get Hard Arms & Shoulders is a good workout - I guess I should dust mine off and use it again! I tried her Basic Sculpting...

    Joyce Vedral ??

Hi, Can anyone give me their opinions about Joyce's videos. I have been using Cathe PS and MIS for a long time (and I am getting the Slow & Heavy series too), but I was thinking about getting either Joyce Vedral's Bottom's Up Series or the Definition Series for some variety. Can anyone tell me...

    Christi Taylor?

Hi, I dislike choreography, and I am very uncoordinated. But I have heard many good things about Christi Taylor, so I just purchased one of her new videos - Still Jumpin'. I haven't tried it yet, but the reason I bought this video is because the video description says that "basic and...

    Top ten non-cathe videos!

I know it's hard to find good videos that aren't by Cathe, but can anyone else give us some opinions?

    Top ten non-cathe videos!

I have to vote for Weights III (www.flexcity.com). This is a great Total Body Strength training video, and is about the same length as MIS, but the only equipment used is dumbbells (and some stretch bands in the warm-up/cool down). It can be very challenging if you use heavy weights.... I...

    Hi/Lo Revisited

Hi, Just wanted to let you know that you can buy Charlene Prickett's videos at www.charleneprickett.com. I just bought Rev Up the Sequel a few weeks ago and if you are looking for some intense hi/lo without challenging choreography, then this is the perfect video for you !! (You just have to...
