WW'S JULY FIREWORKS

Wiggie:: Lots of us around these boards don't have any "in the flesh" friends who are into diet and fitness AT ALL much less to the extent that we can be. I helped my BFF lose about 30 pounds a couple years ago by working out with her and teaching her about eating right but she's still not one for working out and her diet isn't always the best tho she IS a lot more mindful then she used to be and has managed to keep MOST of the weight off. She thinks I'm nuts for what I do as do most other people I know in "real life"!:p That being said, I couldn't live w/o these forums to keep me in touch with like-minded people. It's total motivation for me!:)

Stacy:: Let me know how you like the kettlebell system. I enabled a friend to buy it and I don't even have it! I just mentioned it to her. She googled it and then started reading the thread over at VF about it and she was sold inside of 24 hours! LOL

Barb:: Can't wait to hear about your adventures with TF when you get it. So many people love it! I only considered that series for a very short time and then dis-counted it after seeing video clips of it. Just wasn't my style. I DO have and enjoy TJ though.

Allee:: So what's the word on the dvd player? My phone is kewl. I like. Now I can go on FB any time I want! ;) Wasn't crazy about a touch only keyboard but it has a function called SWYPE that is making texting with it easier/faster. :)
 
Good evening. No workout for me today. I did last night. I did a premix step cardio from Low impact circuit.

Todays eats are
M1 protein shake with banana, blueberries and fat free milk.

M2 2 mutigrain racecake with peanut butter.

Snack pretzel

M3 90% lean beef patty on light english muffin. Applesauce and a big salad.

My glass a wine. I wont be having my second snack since I didn't workout today. I rather have my wine:) I borrowed 3 weekly points today which now brings me down to 30 left till Monday.

Here's my food for today since I just finished dessert....

1) 2 small plums
2) english muffin w/1 tb natural p/b
3) left over santa fe chicken w/rice from skinnytaste.com
4) veggie salad w/1 tb fat free dressing + fruit
5) wine spritzer with 4 oz red wine and 4 oz diet gingerale, 3 oz rotisserie chkn, 3 oz sweet potatoe fries, green beans + ww icecream bar for dessert

Today was an odd day-I usually eat a protein with snack #4 but I just wasn't hungry enough so I skipped it. As a result I have a point to spare for the day. :cool:
 
Wendy your meals sounds so yummy. The santa fe chicken sounds even really yummy. I will have to check out that website
 
Barb...SKINNYTASTE IS AWESOME!!!! Made a chocolate bread pudding recipe of hers tonite which i will serve to company for DH's birthday tmrw and its incredible!
 
Hi ladies~
I would like to join this check in, is it open? I am a WW lifetime member from around 1999 after losing 40 pounds. The points system and tools of the program have always worked best for me and done the most to shift my eating toward health and fitness. Right now I am about 20 pounds over my true fit and strong goal weight. I have a pretty solid week of counting points under my belt with good results so far, yay! I am also returning to Cathe after a long break. I used to be a frequent lurker and occasional poster, quite a while back. (I think Wendy was a new mom? : O ) I hope to join the 40s check in, too. It will be nice to have support for both my fitness and food. Jody

Good afternoon everyone. Today I did the whole Low Max. I wanted to do something easy because of my vertigo. It wasn't bad at all:)

Today's eats are

m1 protein shake with banana and 1 cup fat free milk
snack water melon
m2 2 hardboiled eggs with ritz cheese crackers.
snack nuts
m3 will be chinese eggs roll and steamed veggi dumplings
snack ww dark choc. raspberry ice cream bar
wine that brings to borrowing 7 weekly points and brings me to 23 remaining. I usually use all of my weekly points and not my AP.

Today my body craved a good old fashioned strength workout so I did STS Total Body, but I skipped the lunges and the plate exercises b/c those hurt my knee. I picked up two more Kettlebells today and plan on starting with RKS sometime soon, probably will review the Instructional dvds and then maybe start week after next, after we get back from going out of town.

I didnt post yesterday...but Fridays are my free day so I didnt have much to report other than my work meeting had pizza and breadsticks and cookies. I had one breadstick and brought along my own celery and raspberries and I also did not indulge in any cookies :)

Hubby and I went to a local bagel place and I got a bagel sandwich with turkey sausage and egg whites on it, that's all I've had so far today, that and 12 almonds before my workout. We're going to a baseball game tonight so no definite dinner plans at the moment.

Tomorrow I have Jeanette Jenkin's Power Yoga planned. That's a really awesome yoga routine!

I see that we have a whole bunch of new people..i am on an expensive line so i didn't read all the posts..

I have done travel fit about 4 times in the last 2 weeks and then my band snapped in two... i have been able to squeeze about 5 cardio work outs but thats about it...:eek: its hard being full time with the kids when they don't have thier own stuff..i have become the entertainement.

Weight wise..well my clothes still fit:D
i usually have pizza for breakfast (not at all like our pizza...tiny amount of cheese..)
salads for lunch and supper. The meat isn't reall like ours so protein is not happening and they dont have chobani:(

hopefully i won't have to pay for excess weight when i fly home..

Stcay, wendy and Allee...great job girls you seem to bew cooking up a storm..

My meal plan has change cuz I went to my in laws. I had a slice of turkey and a slice of cheese on a half of whole grain bread with mustard. Some kind of veggie salad. And then I had handful of vanilla cover peanuts. When i came home i had a shot of whiskey which I barely do So my weekly points are less then I said. I guess that means I really have to watch what I eat until weigh in day.

Good Morning.

Yesterday's work out was NYC Body Sculpting by KCM. Good stuff! I have bicep DOMS and I was only using 8# DB's!!!! :D

Today's work out will be a cardio of choice which is YTBD.

Y'day's eat were good...up until dinner. :eek: Went out for dinner for DH's B'day with family and then back to our house for dessert. Main dessert was a skinnytaste recipe I made...Chocolate Chunk Bread Pudding. OMG! To die for! Everyone LOVED it! :D I served it with ff cool whip, vanilla icecream and cookies. YUM!:cool: Also had 4 rum and cokes-2 at dinner and 2 after dessert. It fun and yummy but I gotta be good now so I can report back good news on weigh in day!!!!;)

Meal 1: english muffin w/1 tb nat p/b and a banana
Meal 2: 2.5 ounces deli turkey on an english muffin (yeah-it's the only "bread" in the house right now! LOL)
Meal 3: 1 serving/cup of Santa Fe Chicken WITHOUT the rice this time-fewer points.
Meal 4: all the bad stuff :eek:

Barb:: Yep, just gotta get yourself back on track as soon as possible after a bad eats day so that you don't do any permanent damage!:)

Stacy:: STS TB is an awesome F/B weight work out!:) Love bagels but I haven't had a "REAL" one since some time prior to starting WW! :(

I will get to a real WW mtg to get the latest lowdown on how they are doing points these days (I have to unpack some boxes to get to my Lifetime WW stuff, moved recently). Currently I practice: you bite it you write it, drink water, eat lots of produce, move the bod. shoot for 20 points.

Yeah, Wendy, I used to eavesdrop on the <--- thread over morning coffee and felt like I got to know a few of the posters. I've loved being a mom (my girls are 15 and 18 now), and I usually notice other mom's who are in the intensive parenting stages and send them happy mommy vibes. LOL, sometimes that keeps me from giving unsolicited birth and parenting advice.

Rest day for me today = 1 to 2 hours of dance class. Right now I am working thru CTX, exactly as it is. I have so many Cathe w/o I've never used because I got so stuck on my faves and couldn't bring myself to slow down or spend time to learn a new w/o or tolerate a lower intensity. Starting over has been a very humbling experience.

Allee...I've been there, dont let it destroy your motivation! Drink lots of water and if you have time come back and repost what you've eaten so we can peruse. Have you been honest about all you've been counting? Do you use Activity Points? Those tend to be a little less exact as far as the calculation goes. Tomorrow is a new day, move forward and know you can make a difference this week :)

Faith...CTX is a toughs series even for a well-conditioned Cathlete! She packs alot of punch into those cardio segments. Good for you for getting back into things! What other Cathe's do you have that havent tried yet??

Today I did Jeanette Jenkin's Power Yoga, took about 80 minutes, was great! Last night's eating at the baseball game wasnt too good. I plan to follow the advice I just gave Allee!

So many workouts so little time! I have Supreme 90 that I havent done yet and now the new kettlebells! My plan is to win the lottery, and quit my job so I can have more time to workout!! Wish me luck ;)

Eating lunch now and then off to swim in a pool and catch some rays at DH's cousin's house for a bit! :cool: From there it's food shopping....

wine "maybe" not sure yet because I didn't workout


Wendy, that is a great workout. I can't get the stepping down on that one

Allee, sorry to hear of your gain. Maybe it's water weight. We all go up sometimes so maybe you'll have a great loss next weigh in day:)

Had dinner at the in-laws and unfortunately it was mostly a carb meal, everything breaded, side dishes were bread and crackers, dessert was cookies. Not much healthy for me to choose from. I'm sure the scale will be up in the morning!
