WW'S JULY FIREWORKS

Hey I already bought 2 new workouts today, what's one more?? I just ordered Dixon's!! It looks like a great cardio workout, what decided it for me was the modifiers! Looks like I'll have good ideas for modifications for anything that might tweak my knee!

good morning Wendy and Stacy. How is it going?

My eats were ok yesterday, I started picking a lot after dinner which really needs to stop, lol. Any Idea what I can do?

Today workout was step blast and I burned 578 calories. I haven't lifted weights in a while and gonna start next week. I think I am either going to do The PUB or gym style. I never done the gym style. The reason I haven't lifted weights is because I have positional vertigo which makes it hard but I am gonna give it a try:)
 
Good afternoon, had a meeting this morning so didnt workout yet, plan to later, not sure what though, never did workout yesterday, headache never seemed to let up enough. Eating was so-so.

Barb, any why do you snack after dinner? Still hungry? Bored? Just enjoy it? Maybe figuring out why could help you curb your snacking. You could brush your teeth or maybe chew gum or snack on something like carrots. Good job on the workout. I also have vertigo but my only seems to flare when I have a head cold or if I happen to move my head way to fast, but when it flares up I oftentimes cant workout for at least a week, bending over to tie my shoes b/c a task so I can relate! I never really understood the difference btwn "dizziness" and vertigo until I had vertigo....totally different beast!

Wendy....what crazy workout do you have on tap for today?? ;)

Workout is finally done. I ended up doing Ilaria's Atletica workout and was able to increase the weight I used for a few exercises. I really love that workout. I'm hoping she comes out with a follow up! Afterwards I did STS Ab Circuits...medicine ball abs with my weighted gloves ala Wendy! It was great, I did have to drop to a 5 lb dumbell from my 8 lb med ball for the last two exercises. That ab routine is a great followup to Atletica especially since the standing ab work was very similar to the moves in Atletica, so not sure if I had to drop in weight b/c my arms were tired or my abs were weak!

I have yoga planned for tomorrow since I skipped it last week. Yard work is planned after yoga so I'm sure I'll be getting some cardio and "squats" in too!
 
Good morning everyone. Eats were good yesterday. I did mowed the lawn and burned 200 calories which gave me 2 AP.

Today I am not sure about a workout as my vertigo is bad this morning. I did take medicine for it so if I have the energy later I will do something. These medicine makes me sleepy.

Tomorrow is my weigh in day so I am eating light today.

So where is everyone?

I'm here, Barb. Was MIA over the weekend because I was busy but I got my work outs in...sat was D34 chest and back + mountain climbers + rock climbers...sun was d35 plyo legs (upped most of my weights!!!!) + my own little weighted ab routine using my 8# med ball and guess what!? STS IS DONE! :D:D:D Today is a rest day and tmrw I start 3-4 days of "active recovery" work outs which will be all cardio and abs and then BODY ROCK begins!!!!!:eek:

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I did but my sat/sun night eats were bad plus several drinks on sat night. Tightening the belt back up this week though in hopes of a loss come friday! :)

Wow great workout Wendy. I can't believe that your done with STS. I only done the 3 1/2 month rotation once. Good job!

Barb, sorry to hear your vertigo is bothering you! Do you take dramamine? Hopefully things will improve soon!

I got my two new workouts in the mail today, planning on doing one tomorrow. Still waiting on Dixon's workout to ship.

Unfortunately for my finances I feel myself catching the Kettlebell bug! I may cave soon and order a few KB's and the much talked about Reinhardt Kettlebell System....like I need anymore stuff!!

Last night I got barely 3 hours of sleep, and then worked 10 hours today so I'm taking the night off. I only did a very brief 20 min yoga workout yesterday morning which frankly was too easy. I did do about 90 minutes of yardwork last night and have the blisters on my hands to prove it, so that was yesterday's "workout".

Good Morning.

Today's work out was 60 mins of KCM cardio + abs as follows:

30 M to Fitness K/B: Kicking Only premix
Circuit Burn: 1/2 of Cardio & Boxing premix wearing weighted gloves (she goes thru same moves 2x so I only did them once)
TLC: Express Cardio Premix w/weighted gloves
30 M to Fitness B/C: 15 min of the Cardio Only premix
NYC Body Sculpting: Abs + Stretch

Stacy:: Yikes, long day on little sleep. Sorry! :( Hope last night was better and that you get in a kick azz work out today! :)

Barb:: How's the vertigo? I suffer from positional vertigo. I know how that feeling sucks. :(

K, gotta skeedaddle but I'll be back!:cool:
 
Good morning ladies. Last night I did Stepmax and oldie but goodie. I can't believe I did it at night because usually I do my workout in the morning. I might just start doing after dinner because it seems like I have more energy will see though. I do like to just get it done and over with it.

Well I loss 2.1 lbs this week:D

Stacy let us know how you like your new workout. I take valium for my vertigo as need when it gets bad. I can't take the other because it made me very anxious

Wendy I had positional vertigo for about 4 years now on and off. Boy do I wish I had your energy.
 
Good morning!! Thank you Fit Mommy for inviting me to this check in, I'v never done this before, should be fun. My workout yesterday was Turbo Fire HIIT 25 in the morning & Rebecca Small Step 2 Success in the evening. My weigh in is tomorrow. I will let you know how it turns out.

Hi Wiggie, always welcome new faces here!! My weigh-in day is on Wednesdays too. So is Steph's (she's currently in Italy). I hoping to just break even tomorrow as I havent been too diligent with my diet lately.

Wendy...you're the workout master. I'm too lazy (as if it takes time) to piece workouts together like that. Knowing me, I'd take one disc out and then call it quits!

I just finished one of my new workouts. A kettlebell workout (though she uses a dumbell the entire time which is a bit odd based on the title, but I got it for this reason b/c I dont have a kettlebell...yet!) by Michele Olson, it's 5 10 minunte segments, all with a different focus that can be add-on's but I did the whole 50 minute working using an 8 lb dumbell. It was a decent workout, but I either need to up the weight next time, or this might become my go-to workout when I'm getting back into things say after an illness or maybe on one of those "I dont feel like working out but I should do something days". The more I do kettlebell/kettlebell inspired workouts the more I enjoy them. She did do a few interesting ab exercises I hadnt done before.....side lying plank with the arm closest to the ground bent and holding up your body and the other arm extended straight up to the ceiling and holding (in my case the 8 lb) a dumbell and just lifting your body up and down. She then bent her legs to 90 degrees at the knee and doing the same thing but this time raising the dumbell up and down like a military press. Those were both pretty tough for me!

Stacy:: I enjoy mish moshing. Keeps things interesting for me but you are not the first and certainly won't be the last to tell me it isn't for them. I just happen to think it's a fun new way to challenge myself and keeps my work outs from getting boring. I crave variety in the worst way! :eek: Sorry your recent w/o purchase wasn't what you had hoped for. Yes, def try upping the weights before you dismiss it as an easier day w/o. You never know! :) Happy erranding!!! LOL
