hi girls! three little munchkins will be arriving here any minute, but wanted to post something quickly (who knows when I will get another chance today!). anyway, I did circuit blast today and then 43 minutes of yoga. in CB I used the blue band and 20 lbs instead of 15-- that is a good, short sweaty workout
. don't know why I don't use it more often! the yoga was from 2 different shiva rea dvds. morning yoga, which is very active and lots of core work, then more core yoga from another dvd plus forward bends which really relax you. anyway, was a good workout and it looks like it will be another gorgeous day, so will head out to the park with the kiddos.
renee-- I miss Melissa, too! hoping she comes back someday! way to go on the weights!! woo hoo! did HS loosen up your upper body a bit? hoping so! sometimes that is the only thing that makes my DOMS lessen, is to get up the next day and do some good cardio
. my rotation is pretty simple. I am doing 3 days of HiiT a week, plus yoga 6 days a week and then on the other 3 days I do metabolic workouts, circuit and/or one day of heavier weights. it seemed like with xtrain and the heavy weights all of the time I got stronger, definitely, but not leaner. anyway, I am hoping that by getting HiiT (or tabata) in a few times a week, I am burning big calories, the yoga is to keep my muscles long and hopefully leaner, and then one day for weights to keep my strength up. anyway, not sure what the results will be, but wanted to give it a try. like I have said before, I was actually my very thinnest-- 15 lbs lighter then I am right now, and even lighter then I was in high school or college-- when I was doing only the primary series of ashtanga yoga 6 days a week-- no cardio or weights whatsoever. go figure, huh? wish I could get some of that with a little more balance, but we shall see...
ladylep-- great job on the workout this morning! especially on a day with middle of the night wake-up times! glad you are feeling so well rested, though!
hello eva! hope you are having a good Friday!
alright, better prepare for the craziness!
peace,
katie
