Yes! I do have some lower body DOMS from B&G yesterday! Now, like Carolyn said, my upper and lower body match!
Definitely in need of a rest day though. Time for some recovery.
Missy, how is your upper body today? My traps were so sore yesterday along with everything else. I am loving how HC is making my arms look though. I was losing some of my STS definition when I tried to alternate weeks of STS with circuits which had bummed me out, but now with HC it's coming back nicely! Also, don't worry about the wrist issue...it definitely gets stronger as long as you allow yourself breaks. I found using the edge of the step was helpful so the wrists wouldn't be in a fully flexed position and I try to use my push up bars when convenient (although it's not always possible with every move). I've noticed a big increase in wrist and forearm strength with these. The other day I opened two jars myself with no problems! I usually have to hand all jars off to Mark and I was like "well looky there! I did it!"
Marie- I'm so glad you liked Bootcamp! I wish you had kept it to try ME though! No rush.
It's so hard to stop buying Cathe dvds, isn't it? I wasn't happy until I had tried almost every one, even many of the step ones I managed to get in trade even though I'm not doing them now. I really wish I had discovered Cathe 10 years ago! Oh well, better late than never! Oh and I totally agree about Jai! She's my favorite. She' so beautiful and her body is to die for! I love Cedie, too for her sweetness and bright smile. Cathe's back up girls are so great.
Good luck with the duplex!
Mary- I feel so bad for ya with the driving teenager! I'm going to be a total wreck when Lydia gets there
. My niece just started driving and I was so nervous about that one, too. The girl is sweet but not the most observant (
sort of like Auntie ). She seems to be doing okay, though. We hardly see her anymore though as she's always off with her friends or at her job. Sigh. I still remember her at 3 years old at my parent's farm where she had put on my dad's big old farmer boots and was trying to walk around in them. She's way too cool for any of that silliness, now though
.
Betty- don't worry about the eating! It's just a week and it's hard to stay in healthy mode when you're away from home. I'm already cringing at what I'll likely be consuming on our vacation! When I'm out of my routine it's like I have no restraint! People on VF always talk about how exercise makes them hungrier but for me (with the exception of Meso 2 STS...YIKES!), I always feel less hungry and more in control of my food choices. I think subconsciously I know I don't want to sabotoge my hard work so even when I get hungry I try to eat healthy-ish and keep portions down so I'm only eating until I'm no longer hungry. When I don't exercise, that's when my diet goes out the window. It's sort of all or nothing for me I guess
Carolyn- yes, summer makes it tough to get the kids to bed! Their usual bed time is 8:30. If it's cloudy out I can usually trick them into bed by that time by closing their curtains. If it's bright and sunny still, forget it! I'm lucky if I can get them to bed by 9:30! Right now is the peak of the year and it's so freaky to still see a little bit of sun peeking out of the horizen at almost 10:00! It's so much better than when it gets dark by 5 in November though, so I'll take it!
Oh dear. I wrote another book.
Have a great Saturday everybody!
