STS first time!

Good Evening!

It was so nice outside when I got out of work that I went for a walk (and I couldn't get any of my kids to go with me). That energized me so I decided to do Slow&Heavy Legs. Wow, what a workout, I was dripping with sweat. I loved all the form pointers and the concentration required, and I was really able to focus on my form. I had read a couple of reviews of this workout online and people said they were disappointed with the leg workout, but I found if I really went heavy and slow, like we are supposed to, I really felt it. I do expect to be sore tomorrow!

I eat the same lunch every day too, but only because I go to the cafeteria at work. I find they prepare too much food in the first place, so sometimes if I get a sandwich I ask for a half, and the lady usually scowls at me and a couple of times told me no. How is it harder to make a half a sandwich than a whole sandwich? So now I just go to the salad bar every day to avoid the situation.

We have one more day of school. Oldest daughter is pretty much done but has to go in tomorrow for a gym final! She is not happy!

OMG!!! I just watched the clip, and I am so ready for this workout!!! I am excited!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

I got extremely busy tonight, I did find out that my printer is a scanner, so hopefully I can get some pics tomorrow!

Okay, I am still pumped about Cross Fire! I am just so freakin excited! I was going crazy last night when I saw the clip. My husband, was like okay....your excited because it looks super tough!!!! :D I said, of course, that means she going to try to kill me and I'm going to have awesome DOMS!!!! hahaha :eek:

Missy you are such a cutie!!:D Is that you're backyard? It looks so pretty with all the trees!

I can't decide if I should do B&G or a kettlebell workout...I'm a little, tiny bit sore in the legs and glutes from HC yesterday (she works the legs some, too) but I think I might be okay to do B&G. Hmmm....decisions, decisions!

I REALLY hope I get CrossFire before we leave June 30!! It's gonna be so close! I'll probably have to wait until we get back and have it waiting for me in the mail:(. Oh well, something to look forward to!

Better decide what I'm going to do soon here! I'm getting bad at wasting even more time on the computer now that school's out:eek:.
 
Colleen-Yes, its my yard. We have the swing overlooking our pond. We are on 7 acres. Most of it is a park like setting with all the trees, except for several acres which is horse pasture.

Oh....If it was me, I would do B&G!!!

I too, am hoping we get the new DVD's asap. As, soon I have them in my hands and will put whatever is on schedule for a workout on hold and do Cross Fire!!!! :eek:
 
Carolyn---I hope you and your family feels better. Maybe, this will be your summer illness and then your family will be all better for summer vacation!!! Push fluids and rest and you will be all better. :)

And, of course thanks for the complement. I do love living in the woods. It is very peaceful!

I think Carolyn and I have an addiction to B&G---so of course we would choose it!!!! :eek:
 
Okay, so I decided to save B&G for Saturday since I just did HC yesterday and I figured it would be tough to do the ab parts of B&G...although I'm noticing every time I do HC the ab doms are getting less and less. I know that means my core is getting stronger but I still want to feel them!:eek: Totally masochistic!;) I wound up doing Lauren Brooks vol 1 (kettlebell) today and I think tomorrow will be Total body Trisets express premix, Friday CSS and B&G Saturday. Hmmm, I should probably work in a rest day somewhere...:eek:. I'm having a tough time making myself take rest days knowing that I won't be working out for a solid week when we get to Disney!

Carolyn- I hope the stomach virus isn't getting you! Give me a head or chest cold...even the regular flu over stomach bugs anyday!:( GI discomfort is the worst!!! They are so terribly contagious, too. I hope you all feel better soon!

Colleen---I feel the same way....always wanting to feel the doms after a workout. Sounds like you have your week planned. As for not working out for a week while at disney, you will be walking your butt off. So.....don't worry about it. You will be fine, and you can workout twice as hard when you return. And, remember you should have our new DVD's when you return.

Are you going to Disney? Animal Kingdom? Epcot? What are your adventures planned? I absolutely love Disney!!!!!! So much "MAGIC"!!!! You become a kid when you walk through the gates!!!! :D

We are planning on going to Hollywood Studios one day and Magic Kingdom another day. The rest of the week we want to drive to the beaches (probably Gulf side as Mark seems to like that side the best). We would like to do more days with Disney but it's crazy expensive! Even Universal and Seaworld have upped their prices, I guess. We'll just relax on a free beach instead!:eek:
 
Everything has gone up! When my husband and I went about 6 years ago...it was very expensive. When we left we went to Wendy's on the drive home for something cheap to eat!!!! When we left Wendy's we thought we ate for free!!! We stayed at the animal kingdom lodge, and our breakfast for $25 plus dollars....for 2 people....that's crazy. Eating inside the Magic Kingdom was even more expensive, but it is part of the experience. So, last month we were looking into how much it would cost us to go back, and needless to say.....we decided not to go. We decided to save that money for a more relaxing trip????? Not decided on what, yet????

On another subject......I was looking at clips to other fitness DVD's....And it really bothers me when all the crew are at a different speed. I guess Cathe has me spoiled, where I can watch anyone and know what I should be doing!!!!! Does this bother you?

Okay gotta run, I have to pay some bills for the office. (i have to work) hahaha :p

Thanks for all the nice complements! It truely mens alot. When I was 55 pounds heavier I was depressed and felt like a cow. Now my workouts give me happiness, and they have payed off. I look in the mirror and smile now. My husband also is so happy. He said he never realized I was that heavy.

So.... all smiles and laughs here.

Jean---When I saw all the firewalker exercises in the new dvd, and got so excited! I wanted to do the work right then!!! I know, I am crazy!!! Have fun with meso 2 tomorrow!

Just finished Drill Max! I had to shower immediately, dripping sweat all over the place! So nasty but awesome!!!! :eek:

Carolyn, what a drag! Speedy recovery to all of you! Poor hubby. We had that happen too. What is he doing for treatment?

Colleen, I totally agree with Missy that you'll walk it off at Disney. Plus, allow yourself the vaca from working out--you've certainly earned it!

Heard about the weather in Boston--90s & humid??. So glad I'm not there!

Missy and Marie, I'll look at your pics when I get home. I am sure you gals are head-turners.

Been brisk-walking for last few days at least. Averaging bout 38 mins. Feel. So. Fat.

Better get some rest tonight. So tired.
