STS first time!

Betty---It is a really good movie....it really makes you think! I just love watching these documentaries....

I only shop at publix....and they have a green wise section...which is what I buy. No hormones, etc....it is a little more expensive....but worth it!

As for my knee....it is really starting to make me mad! I want it to be all better....I promised it I would be nice to it, if it would just stop aching!!! But it is not listening to me! :mad:

I just want to hit my workouts like I am use to...this modification crap is b/s! Now I feel like Carolyn did.....angry! :mad:

better get back to work!!! busy busy today!:)
 
Missy, I recommend ice and stretching do your knee. Ice for 20 minute. Hourly if needed. I did it religiously twice a day with stretching made a BIG difference. Yoga is great for stretching.
 
Okay...I just sat in my docs office...that I work for....and he is the doc I always chat with about my exercise as he is a big exerciser! He said he thinks I have a pulled hamstring....and for me to be careful...he says I need to modify things for a month....walk instead of run....he also told be stretchs to do to help. He also said....Missy...I told you to be careful....I said Dr Bev....you sould like Tim...hehehe....he said well...I care about you...and you do not want to hurt yourself till you cant do anything!!! Yes...Dr Bev....I understand...he said listen to the men in your life...LOL

So...I must exercise lightly! Maybe I will get a Ballet Body and try it!

Also.....he said I am not a fan of Bootcamp....You do just fine with your homeworkouts....stick with them! They have you looking beautiful...why change up if what you are doing is working!!! OMG...has Tim been chatting with you??? LOL

So I am not going back to bootcamp! I am a home exerciser!!!

Colleen, those meds are expensive! Yikes.
You've got your workout side all set up, now the digestive issues have to fall in line.;) Hang in there.

Carolyn, I should try CMX. What's the proper form for standing? Should you be leaning forward or standing straight? You've also brought up a good point I didn't even know to ask--should I be pushing down or pulling up when I pedal standing? Incidentally, I've already somewhat experienced the sweating on the tops of my hands, even though I've not pushed myself with Cathe yet.;)

Betty, I second Carolyn. You gotta try cycle max. The positions are real simple. You can also goggle it and fine some you tube instructions.

There are 3 positions. Sitting = first, standing straight = second and third your hands are extended on the top of the handles. Mostly used for standing hill climbs.

Carolyn, my DH can always tell when I used ground turkey only by the color. He can never taste the difference. Your dinner sounded good. Tonight we had chicken with eggplant and green beans. The eggplant I make almost like a stuffing. I cut it up into cube and sautéed it with onions and halved grape tomatoes and then put in the oven and let it cook for 30-40 minutes. Yummy!!

B is still sick poor bud bud. I bought some saline drops for his nose. I put a couple drop in and then use the bulb aspirator. He hates it but I get a ton of junk out. He still has a little cough too. He has been sleeping alot so that's good.

My workout today was shoveling the driveway before Tony went to work. Our driveway is super long and we got a ton of snow. Hardcore sweating and breathing was going on. Other than that and a quick run to Target I just snuggled with B all day.
 
Carolyn, I sautéed in olive oil. Just a few teaspoons for about 15 minutes. Just to get it cooked down and the eggplant softens.

Marie, so sorry B is silk sick. I would do the saline with the aspirator not fun!! But it does work.

My DS has the nasty cough as well. It actually turned croupy but between the shower steam and bringing him outside it seems to do the trick. He always sleeps with the humidifier as he get a lot of bloody noses in the winter.

Today was ballet body with 3 upper body segments. I was suppose to do lower body today but my legs are still sore from Monday I switched it do upper and will do lower on Friday. I didn't have time for the ab segment so I will do that tonight.

We are suppose to get some snow today but it looks like it will be more rain than anything else.
 
Good Afternoon.....I went MIA.....I had a mild case of depression last night....didnt want to do anything.....Tim came home from work...and said whats wrong? I am depressed I said.....Why? Because I cant workout like I want to....yes I am drepressed because I hurt all over! So...Tim took me out to dinner and loved on me...told me how sexy I was and how much he loved me....so today I feel alot better....still hurt like hell...but I did take some advil....for the first time...and I think it is helping....I am convinced it is not my knee or hamstring....as the pain continues to get worse/travel....I am sure it is my back.....I think I am out of alignment again....I just dont want to go to the chiro.....Because now my entire leg hurts....and my bones hurt! Maybe some stretching will help....if not...I may have to pay my copay and go! :mad:

I changed my stride on the elliptical and was able to do 30 minutes this morning. Tonight I am planning on doing a low impact Cathe workout.....

HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING WONDERFUL!

I did Cardio Leg Blast then ran out for some groceries, came home, prepped food, and stuck it all into the crockpot!:D Carolyn, what are you making? I have 'curried chicken stew' in there.
Are there any STS leg or LB workouts you can do? Not Plyo Legs obviously.

Missy, are you all right? I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling pain and feeling down. Think back to see if you can remember what was the moment you injured something? Take it easy on your body so that it can heal and rest.
Oh, I watched Forks Over Knives on Netflix last night. You'd like that.

Colleen, is BB using just body weight? I look forward to trying it since you speak so highly of your results.

I'm not that keen myself on the smell of ground turkey as it's cooking (same with ground pork), but I use it too.

My legs and glutes are achy today. Knee cap too. Not in a likeable way. It's a combo of doing spin last night and CLB today. And I can feel something developing in my head. I'm not liking CLB--it's so darn jumpy. Should have pulled out Legs instead.

Marie, poor B. That aspirator is a lifesaver. The good thing is he'll improve quickly since he's breastfed.

We'll get the same storm that will hit Jean, Colleen, Carolyn. Sounds like a bit of snow. We'll see. Hope it'll pivot away and give us rain.

Two-hr high school parent info session tonight. Ugh, a snoozer to be sure.

Tim is working late the next few days...its crunch time...they are opening the new store Friday....They are having open house Friday and Saturday! I will drive over saturday....to show my support! I told Tim that at lunch...and he was touched....he said I would like that babe! Awe...I made Tim's heart flutter!!! hehehehe

He found out today....they are in the process of getting him a new company truck. So he doesnt have to use his personal vechile...since we live 45 minutes away. They promoted him to service manager...so today...he is interviewing some mechanics....he has an office now! And once they are busy, he will not have to get dirty! LOL...he is hands on....he will always be out in the shop! Just my thought though....hehehe

Back to work....I have been on a cleaning spree today...making everyone clean there area....I do not like clutter! The office always looks nice when I crack the wip....its the only way these people will clean there area....LOL

Missy, sorry your were down yesterday. I hope you are feeling much better today. Sometimes a change is good. I think your body will respond positively to the change. My body doesn't do well with too intense workouts. It likes the change of pace to mix thing up.

Betty, hope your knee feels better. BB does a mix of body weight and light weight work. Today one upper body segment was a 25 UB work with weights. I started with 3 pounds a. Had to drop down to 2 pound and it consisted of kickbacks, scarecrows and all sorts of variations that worked the shoulders and arms. She moved from one exercise to the next with out any stopping with multiple sets ranging of 8-16 reps.
 
Does anyone have thoughts on ......Will I align back up or should I go to chiro? I am in severve pain from my neck to feet????

Carolyn, what happened with your forearm and good knee??:eek:

My curried stew has bone-in chicken breasts (recipe calls for thighs, so I hope they're not dry), carrots, one quartered onion, coconut milk, curry paste, celery and potatoes (both are not in recipe). I wasn't even buying the components for this recipe earlier, but rather random bread, eggs, milk, etc;).
 
Okay...let me just say this.....i love my chiro!!!!

Miss aligned pelvis......did an adjustment and ultrasound on shoulder and neck...(thats where i was hurting severly at all day) $45 later.....the shoulder and neck feels better and my headache is gone. Now just knee pain...and alittle tight feeling...i may have to go back again....but if it make all these aches go away....i will!!! Wants me to come friday...but i have my receptionist on vacation friday and monday.....so if i cant slip away....i will followup tuesday!

So we are all falling apart! Maybe our bodies are punishing us for being so hard on them.....we better rest!!!

Wth....am i saying????? See what pain does to me.....it makes me want to do nothing....all I know is....i will NEVER do bootcamp again!!!

I must be good untill i am painfree, then i can gradually ease back into harder workouts!

It is amazing how bad you can hurt from your pelvis..... my entire left side from head to toe hurt!!! Crazy shit!

Off to prepare some dinner!
