STS first time!

Good morning! Up and on the elliptical! It is literally freezing out side....its 29 degrees.

Marie--- i think Tony is on the right track....is he going to start exercising? I think if he incorporates exercise with a good healthy diet.....he will be succesaful and he will feel great! As we all know amd live by...."moderation".... you can have anything...Just in moderation! Congrats to your hubby! Tell him your cathe friends...as he calls us.....are all very proud of him!

Hope everyone has a nice day!

Carolyn--- I hope you have fun with your friend today! What workout did you do?

I am starting Xtrain today..... trying to decide between 30 or 90 day program????:p

Carolyn---Are you planning on following a xtrain program, or are you just doing a workout here and there????

Off to work....be back later!:D

I removed my weight loss ticker! Thought since I am just maintaining and happy with where I am....I didnt need it anymore! :D

Morning ladies!!

Checking in with a very tough BB workout this morning. My legs are still shaking!!!

Missy, good for you for taking down the ticker. When is the last time you weighted yourself?

Carolyn, enjoy your day. Congrats on the cathe!! So glad you are back.

Need to do some work BBL.

Colleen----I quit weighing myself.....1 1/2 months ago....I did get on the scale once since then...just to see if I am maintaining and I am...I was .5 pds up. So that showed me I can live life without the scale. I put the scale up...and I feel better than ever. I use to always get up and weigh myself...and the scale would set my mood for the day....I enjoy getting up and just enjoying my cardio, eating what I want with moderation, and doing my workouts. I am just Happy!

Colleen and Carolyn---way to rock your workouts this morning! I am doing a xtrain workout tonight....still havent decided on which one! But will let you know soon!

Be back...trying to play catch up from Friday! ;)

My poor baby is sick. He was up every 2 hours last night. He has a cough and stuffy nose. The Dr said RSV is going around. No fever. Clear lungs. Gave him Tylenol. I can just tell he doesn't feel good. My poor baby. I called in to work. Just can't leave him when he feels like this.

No workout for me today. Just snuggling all day with my baby :) He is sleeping in my arms right now so I suppose I could put him down and workout. Trying to not feel guilty about that. He needs me though.

Missy- Congrats on the scale my friend. That is awesome news. Tony did just mention yesterday that he wants to start working out, probably at a gym and then outside when it gets nice out. Very proud of him. I will tell him you all say congrats. I told him I've been keeping you all updated on the juicing.

Carolyn- That's great that you're helping your friend out. I'm sure she really appreciates the help. That's a big job. Hope you get a free cut and color out of the deal ;)

Colleen- Enjoy those jello legs ;)

Hi to everyone else.

Missy, that's so awesome that Tim's dad lost 35 pounds. Good for him.

No More HC for me. I have a bunch already and prefer BB over the HC. Leah does a lot of plank work as well and I like her instruction better. She really gives you good pointers on the proper form.

Hi gals,

Marie, poor little guy! Lots of hugs, snuggles, and love to him! I used to, and still do, feel pained whenever my kids get sick, even when it's a cold. Do you use a warm-mist humidifier? They keep the nasal passages moist. We pulls ours out every winter and don't put it away until May. One in every bedroom, turn it on at night, off in the morning. It hugely cuts down on colds and other yuckies!
High five to Tony. He's so awesomely progressive!

Missy, so proud of you for putting away the scale! You have nothing to fear! Everything's in place, and you're doing a fabulous job!
I didn't know you had HC! I don't remember you ever mentioning it.
I think a 30-day rotation is good. I even petered out before I reached it. Or you can try XT/LIS.

Hi Colleen! Was that LB BB you did today to get the spaghetti legs? Someday I'll experience it.;)
I have not tried CM yet! Only because I can't imagine going for an hour at Cathe's speeds!

Carolyn, I love BS. I usually just do the add-on section that's in a premix, but I love it!
It's great that you're helping out your friend; I'm sure it's invaluable to her. I often wish I have a friend who does hair...
Nice catch--it's my local sis.
You can do OP right before bed. People do it when it fits into their schedule. In fact, I am now wondering if it makes more sense to get all the germs out before bed! A friend of mine learned of OP from her holistic dentist, and can't find time before work to do it so she does it at night. I'll be seeing her this weekend so I'll ask her what her experience is. As for me, this morning as I was exercising, I definitely feel that my knee joint pain has improved even more. To the point that I can declare my knees feel 80% less pain. I kid you not. I'm flabbergasted by these benefits. Here I was taking useless supplements to address these things that OP is unexpectedly doing all by its lonesome.;)
Ok, if you gals are getting tired of me raving about OP, tell me to shut up!;)

Jean, hope your move went well. Tell us all about it.

Today I cranked out AOLIH (love it), BS Shoulders, Ab Circ Yoga Abs.

What a treat to get 4-5 hrs of sunshine today when it was forecasted to be cloudy. In fact, it will be cloudy the entire week!

ETA: PS: Marie, those are adorable pics of B! I can't believe he flipped over!!!

Betty- We sure do have the humidifier out. We just love that thing. Makes for great white noise to help with sleep too. Thanks for the tip :)

Carolyn, hope your clothes are ok.

Rebounder has been great. I did few minutes today to get feeling in my legs after BB. My legs were so sore for days after I first got it.

I am following her periodized system that uses her downloads. I have not done her DVDs.

Good Evening my dear friends!!! :p

Marie---I hope B feels better! Lots of hugs and snuggles and kisses will make him all better! ;)

Betty--I bought HC along time ago....when ColleenK first was talking bout it. I did them several times, but my wrists just could not handle it.

Colleen---What was the name of the workouts you have been doing??? I want to research them.....it may be somethig I am interested in....but I cant remember the name!!! hehehe :)

I have been crazy busy today....I was in our dexa room all afternoon....working on the computer...the machine kept freezing....but I tackled it and fixed it! I did a dexa scan of myself to makesure it was working properly....and I am normal! LOL (I worked on it for 3 hours......cleaning up all the files.....it would have cost $315 per hour to get a tech to our office) Can we say expensive!!!! I just saved my company lots of money today!!!! But my docs appreciate it...and thats why I love my job!

Off to workout...I am running behind! But, gonna get my workout in!

Be back.....

Hello to everyone!

Jean, what a busy few days you had! So much progress! Wow. I don't recall you saying the house you live in is DH's childhood home. Just my fading memory.
Believe me, I can't get rid of my belly. In fact, last week it was so bloated:confused:. On the whole, except for the belly and its side handles, I'm rather proud of my Cathe physique. I'm consciously working on my legs and will hopefully whittle the loose flab down, but from the side it looks sculpted.;) DH is a stoic and doesn't say much. So whether I look grotesque or great, nada.
How fab you rcvd UY. Can't wait to hear your take on it. What's more interesting is the vegan/raw/juicing you mention. Didn't know about them.

Oh, Carolyn, how upsetting about your clothes. I'd feel the same way. Hope it all comes out. Ya do a good deed and that's what you get? Sheesh. At least you had Goo Gone, rubbing alcohol, and Oxyclean at home. I don't have any of that stuff.
My dear, for you I'd recommend coconut oil. Have you ever tried sesame oil? (Smells so fragrantly good.) A little goes a long way. When cooking, I use very little, so I can't imagine a whole tbsp. Plus, at the risk of repeating myself, coconut oil is mild and amazing. Here's one link that pretty much repeats the stuff I've read elsewhere: Discover the Superfood Power of Coconut
Today, when running my hairbrush through my hair, it feels like it has been deep-conditioned. In other words, no tangled mess!

Missy, nice job with that troubleshooting. That money saved will come to you in the form of a bonus;).
Colleen does Ballet Body by Leah Sarago.

Good morning!!

Carolyn-- how dis you sleep? I will have to watch it....i do like scarey movies!!!

Up and on the elliptical....so I came to the conclusion my knee is not 100% better....i was running so behind last night I decided to do an hour of cardio and I would start a rotation today....so after about 40 minutes my knee was screaming.....it just gets very tight and sore??? I really loved bootcamp but this much...my knee cant handle that type of impact...i will stick woth my workouts ar home..
Cathe never messed my knee up like this! When I told Tim this last night...he was happy to hear it! He did not want to tell me I couldnt go...but he has seen me struggle for a week and was not liking it! He said I need to stick with my personal trainer "cathe"....so I am!!!

Heres to a wonderful tuesday....going to be very busy today! But I will check in soon!

Hello!

This morning's workout was Xtrain Bis and Tris, and I am really feeling my Bis right now. I had my new yoga class yesterday but was a bit disappointed with it. I am used to some strenuous yoga, and this was not it. I know it's tough to teach, as one girl in the class had never done yoga before. But I did not get that deep relaxation I usually do. I gave some feedback to the organizer, we'll see.

Marie, so B is so cute and I am sorry to hear he is sick. Hope he feels better soon, so tough when they're little. Actually, it's always tough but at least when they're older they can tell you what's going on.

Jean, sounds like great progress on the move, how exciting! It must feel great to be purging all that stuff. And I can imagine after living there for so long, you must have accumulated alot! Our basement is a nightmare, my DH likes to hang on to things 'just in case' but I'd rather toss it all if we don't use it.

Carolyn, hope you can get your pants cleaned. And I can't watch scary movies before bed, they stay with me.

Betty, we took DD to Northeastern Sat. and she didn't think it was a good fit for her. She thought it would be good for students who know what they want to do, and she has no idea. I need to find some info on careers for her.

Missy, take it easy on your knee.

Hello Mary! I hope your yoga class gets better!!!

Carolyn---Glad to hear you were able to sleep! I did research the ballet body by Leah Sarago.....you can buy DVD's! They are on college video and ebay! ;)

Colleen---Does the ballet body workouts get your heart rate up? Do they make you sweat? I think I remember you saying you are getting good results from them? Is that right?

Good morning,

Yep, I'm doing ballet body by Leah sarago. She has both downloads an DVDs. She has 4 DVDs. Upper, lower, core and total body. I'm doing the download which are 10-30 minute segments and you do multiple at a time through a while periodized program. Each segment focuses on a body part. The first 8 weeks were all total workouts. The next 8 are one total body per week and one upper an core and one lower ad core. I just started week 9 yesterday which was a total body day. My legs have total DOMS today. The download quality is not great but her queuing and pointer and the workouts themselves are fantastic. Totally different from Cathe but just what my body needs right now.

I started the medicine. I'm suppose to take it twice a day for a month. I probably won't try and gluten or dairy for another 2-3 week for the meds to start working. The stuff is so ridiculously expensive. Thank god for insurance. I had to pay 75 copy but without insurance it would if been $1600. I've never seen a medicine so expensive before.

Jean, wow so much work you have been doing. You are going to be so prepared. I am so impressed! I can't wait for you to start UY and get your thoughts.

Betty, I need to start thinking about the OP.

Today I did a 10 minutes on the rebounded an the. 14 miles (40 min) on the spin bike.

Hey girls,

Mary, I don't know if you read all the posts when you don't post but I mentioned in Naviance there's a survey to help kids identify strengths/likes and areas of majors to suit. If not, IT and business and engineering are great fields with plenty of jobs. DD sounds smart, so maybe medicine?
Sounds like you'll get more of a strenuous workout from your UY.

Carolyn, I am terrified of horror movies and nighttime is the worst for watching and re-living them:confused:.
My Trader Joe's coconut oil says virgin only. They only sell one kind. I'll have to look at Whole Foods. The coconut oil is not hard; it's more like shaved butter at first. (I've never noticed organic sesame oil before.)
Nice going getting the pants and sweatshirt cleaned. Now get thee to the basement or outdoors!

Missy, sounds like you injured your knee in bootcamp, so you'll have to nurse it until it returns to normal. No high impact.
I watched Fat Sick and Nearly Dead while on bike last night! How do you know how much produce to buy and use at each juicing? Now I see how Tony is doing it. The guys went for 60 days subsisting on just veggies & fruits to clear out their toxified unhealthy bodies.

A possible snowstorm looming later in week. You know what that means. Bread, eggs, & milk!;)
