STS first time!

Good Morning, Ladies!!

Checking in with HC vol 3 this morning. I attempted vol 4 which is the ball again and I bagged it and went to vol 3. I really want to work on getting vol 4, but I think I need to get the get rolling DVD. That ball workout is hard. I also did 4 miles on the spin bike. I was going to do afterburn express, but Just didn’t have the energy this morning.

The clicking is in both knees, but the pain is mainly in the right. The doctor office just called and they were able to get me a pre authorization for the MRI, so I’m going to go ahead and get that knocked out, so he can really see what’s going on. I did ice it last night and it helped, but it’s sore again already

The Crossfit games sound crazy. I’ll have to check that out too.

On the kids front, DH and I knew we had always wanted kids, but I remember so clearly on 2nd Christmas married, that we felt something was missing, so that’s when we decided we were ready. One daughter had our hands full for quite some time. We thought for a while we were one and done, but them something clicked and we knew we had to have another one. Without a doubt the best choices we have ever made. It’s a life changer, but absolutely worth it. My sister and her hubby only have 4 legged kids and that’s what makes them happy.

Missy, I hope your baby is getting better

The weather is so glum and doom today..

I am so glad it is Friday...

So I did MMA Boxing today, and my goodness, it was so much fun! The time really flies by on this one for me because moving from one thing to the next makes me forget that I'm working out, LOL!. I really enjoyed this one -- now I'll have to look for a heavy bag to do the bonus workout.

I just realized that the week I am supposed to start Meso 2, I'll be out of town for the week with my dad while he is having his surgery and recovering. I'm not sure what to do (I can bring my cardio and maybe Travel Fit, but there's no way I can bring all the stuff for STS with me). I guess I'll have a longer break between Mesos? One extra week off shouldn't be too bad, right?

Hi everyone,
TGIF! The rain I was waiting for all day finally materialized close to 5 pm! It's a mild day, so I can't complain. I even got in a brief walk. Today I did pull out KPC, and I know what Monday's workout will be--HSC! Rcvd it today!:)

I just put an apple pie in the oven. Talk about procrastinating till the last minute. All day I knew I was going to make it. Waited till the time I normally cook dinner, since I planned for us to have leftovers.

Carolyn, did you think Push Pull was a bit easy for you, now that you're an STS graduate?
Don't beat yourself up over not going to the doc earlier; every situation is different, and Colleen had the benefit of learning from what you have been going through.
When will you vote--before or after the surgery?:D

I always assumed I would have children, not giving it any more thought than that. After being married a few years, that was the next natural progression. The feelings of love for your children, the depth and range of emotions--you can't ever describe them ahead of time because you would never have known to expect them. It's truly so special. Animals bring those feelings out too. Missy, it's marvelous that you and Tim found each other and think alike.

Becky, I think it's all right to have a 2-week break. Even after a 1-week break it was hard to start back, but your body quickly adjusts, especially since you're fit. Give it a try, then if it doesn't seem ok, then re-do a week or two?
MMA Boxing is fun, isn't it? I haven't pulled that one out in a while because I feel it's not as intense as some of her other workouts. I do love kickboxing and the like. I've only done the heavy bag bonus workout a couple of times, after borrowing the bag from my nephew, which I've since returned.

Jean, what's the verdict on the book? Have you started?

I'm sure Mary is all right but just super busy.

Oh no Carolyn! That's not good. I hope you are ok

I'm off to soccer too. Plan is to work out afterward.

BBL

Betty. You apple pie sounded so good. I love apple pie and apple crisp!

Good morning, all!

Carolyn, get some aloe for the poison ivy (I'm thinking topical, not oral). It really works!
I think it was 3 am that we had torrential downpours, thunder, lightning! It kept me up. Right now it is still as anything out there, the muddled sky is occasionally showing a peek of brightening, and it is humid and mild. It's supposed to be sunny and low 70s. Can't wait.
Have you gone to check out the new Trader Joe's yet?

Going out for sushi buffet tonight. I should work out. Wow, maybe I will. I find myself alone right now. I've never worked out on a Saturday!

How can the kids have soccer when it was drenched overnight?

Jean, Salmon Fishing was so charming. I adored it!

Apple pie was so good I had two servings!

That makes 4 workouts this week! Not counting the 3 small walks!

Jean, I can almost smell your chili wafting over here. Yum!
We'll probably get your cool and crisp weather tomorrow. The sun is mostly out, and here I sit on the computer. Though I am waiting for DS to come home before I can go out.
I use the store-bought crust. The idea of making my own is kind of daunting, although the recipe seems simple enough. How about you?

You gals with so many workouts you can't remember what you have--isn't it fun to discover new ones?!

I guess I consider PP/Supersets easy, but I should revisit and use heavier weights perhaps?

Checking in with cycle max done! Didn't think I would get a workout in. Hubby was working in the basement and I let's the kids on their DS. On well. 14 .5 miles. Needs to fix kids lunch then DD has a play date.

Bbl.

Carolyn, next time you don't want too much cardio, try TurboBarre. Leg work with no impact.

I loved that today's workout had no equipment. (Well, except for a mat. There was a core/abs section.) I get sooo tired of pulling all the equipment out, or of jumping around on a step.

Will check out the CrossFit online too at some point.

I want me a spin bike too...

Good Morning! I was MIA yesterday...went to a 2 hr zumba party for breast cancer. Then my husband took me to tallahassee shopping after. I was gone all day. Then, chores....never got on the computer last night!

Marie Verdeja....baby pics on facebook! He is absolutely beautiful!

Off to workout....be back!

Good morning. All that talk about PP yesterday. I did superset today. I matched all of cathes weights expect for the shoulder presses. I used 12 instead if 15. I felt strong today. Need to shows then off to the pumpkin patch today. It's a beauty outside!!

Have a great day.

Thanks for the advice on extending my break between Mesos. I'm going to bring cardio, and my hubby's BodyLastics bands to do some of the same exercises in M2W1 just to start working my muscles again. Then I'll pick up M2W1 when I get back. I'm kinda OCD about my rotations, so maybe this is good for me.

Did Athletic Step today -- I loved it! I can't do step too often or my knee gets angry at me (plyo doesn't bother it all, but step does for some reason). I wish I could do this one more -- it was fun and the time flew by. I like the lower intensity of the Shock Cardios (at least the two I've done so far) -- they might be too low for some, but for me they are perfect!

We have gorgeous weather here, so I'm headed to walk the puppies.

Good Afternoon! I went and ran 3 miles and then a friend wanted to meet to walk. I then walked 4 miles. My legs are toast!!!

Jean---I live 1 hour from downtown tally!

Now I am doing laundry! :( And resting! :)

Just got back from the inlaws. I washed my truck again today. Oh....today the weather was beautiful!!! Loving it!

I have some sore, sore, sore muscles!!! Lovin that!!!

I meet a new friend today. She is so much like me. All about fitness! We went walking. This saturday is my next 5K!!! Yeah!!! Looking forward to it!!! She does all of the runs and walks too!!!

Off to shower.....be back!

Hey :)

Thanks for all the congrats!!!

Oh my goodness words cannot describe the love I have for my little man! I am soooo in love! Being a mama is the best feeling in the world. Tony is loving being a dad too. So fun! We have had several guests over the past few days which is great! Fun for him to meet everyone but I just can't wait to get him back in my arms. I miss him when I'm in the shower haha! My little love.

Breast feeding is going extremely well. He nurses every 3 to 4 hours and then has an alert period and then sleeps. He is quite the sleeper. So content.

The hospital stay was good but we are so happy to be home.

Pictures to be posted soon.

Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Keep up good job on the workouts.

B has an appt tomorrow and I still have to schedule mine. For right now I am restricted from holding anything heavier than B. No working out for 6 weeks....hoping the dr will change this. I can walk but the pain limits that to a point. I am getting around real well though. Laughing and crying hurt as well as anything that uses my abs. I hate taking meds but it is necessary right now. I'm taking way less than prescribed though. Everyday gets better!

Other than that not much! Just enjoying life with Tony and our little one :)

Good Morning and Happy Monday!

Marie---you and Tony look so happy! And Brekin is beautiful! Enjoy your bundle of joy! Make sure you rest and don't push yourself so you can heal. When the doctor says you can exercise, you can then push yourself....but not yet!!! :D

Off to work!

oh Marie, he is so beautiful!!! Congratulations! Please, please rest and listen to the doctor. You'll be up and back to it in no time, but rest your body.

Happy Monday Ladies,

I’m checking in with Cycle Strong done this morning. I did 17 miles and burned 440 calories!

For some reason, I haven’t been into Cathe cardio lately. I actually put on Circuit blast this morning. But wasn’t into the high impact. So I quikly changed my mind. My upper body is really feeling Super Set yesterday. I have some nice DOMS in my biceps, chest and back and even my core! I am really excited for Xtrain and some new low impact workout and ride.

Not sure If I mentioned it or not, but I actually got my MRI on Friday night. I was shocked that I was able to get in so quickly. I go in Thursday for my follow up appointment. They sent me home with a DVD of the images, but I have no idea what’s normal or not!!

We didn’t end up going to the pumpkin patch yesterday. We ran some errands (the plan was errands then pumpkin patch), but my daughter had a meltdown, so we bagged it. We are going to try to go one day after work/school this week, since the weather is going to be beautiful. We did end up playing outside and going for a walk. It was so nice yesterday.

Hope everyone has a happy Monday.
