Strength in Numbers

CherylI'm glad to hear that your training is going well. It sounds like it would be a little stressful doing a routine for your instructor. It's a good idea having a 30 minute workout like that though. Our weather has been funny. It will be in the 90's for awhile and then yesterday it was in the 70's. It was 75 and felt cool. Yes, I think I did make CCC harder than the original. That was not my intention, but I will rework it.
Great job on yoga. I'm glad to hear that your legs weren't TOO sore after your leg workout. I did a little planting yesterday too. I love getting the flowers out.

Janie Hi jello woman! Great job on GS Back, shoulder and biceps! I hope we are both skiing really well in your minds eye! ;) I do think I need to get a weighted vest. It would be so helpful to take some of the heavy load off of the forearms for deadlifts and some of the heavy barbell leg work. I will take a picture of the lights when they come in. They are supposed to be here in about a week or so. It was funny because I was sitting there after my workout yesterday with my beet red face reading about your beet red face :D

Eunice Oh yes, your poor spoiled Sam would not like having to be in quarantine at all! I will check out the VS jeans. I was just thinking this morning that I could use some more jeans too. I have 2 favorite pairs and I washed both of them yesterday and they weren't dry yet so I had to settle for a different pair today. Yes, you should check out white house black market. Their website is WHBM.com. I recommend going right to the sale tab though! I've gotten some very cute tops there too. Yes, I was definitely thinking about you for 5 de mayo". I bet you make better mexican food than they do too! I definitely did make CCC harder. That was not the plan at all. I think I have it figured out now though! My shoulders and biceps aren't feeling too bad at all after skiing this week and we skiied a lot more than last week too. Two days in a row and 2 sets on Saturday, so I guess I am getting used to it already!
Great job on Yoga Max, that one is really deceiving, isn't it?? Great job on disc 1 also and doing all of those pushups on your toes!!!! Wow, that is really impressive! I've never tried P90x ab ripper, is it a good one?

Julie I hope you had a good weekend.
Marta I hope you come back and see us again!

Yesterday afternoon I felt like Julie because I did 3 nights worth of cooking. I made dinner for last night and tonight and I made pizza dough to have homemade pizza later this week. That's pretty good for me since I am usually figuring out what to have for dinner at about 4:00 the day of! This morning was Athletic Training. I hadn't done that one in awhile and it is a goodie! I have glass class tonight and hopefully one of my sconces will be all ready. i only have one mold so they have to be slumped one at a time, but they should at least all be fired flat by now too. now DH will have to get to work figuring out how to put them up! It's also our anniversary - 11 years! have a great day everyone!

Pam

Looks like I missed a lot by not checking in over the weekend. Saturday, I did STS Total Body and then some cleaning and running errands. After that, my sister and I surprised my mom by cleaning her kitchen and dining room for Mother’s Day. Then I ran some more errands. Sunday, I was so exhausted and sore, I just laid around all day. I am still sore this morning but did Lower Body Blast anyway. My hamstrings are really angry with me now and I haven’t passed the toilet test since Saturday night. I think I might have to break out the foam roller tonight.

Janie Great job on GS Chest & Triceps! Those Gym Style workouts are all quiverers to me. Great job on HiiT DWP too! Gotta love that beet red face after a great workout. If you’re like me, your face stayed red for quite a while. Great job on GS Back, Shoulders, and Biceps. Are you done with your 1 month of Gym Styles? That is what I will be doing in two weeks when I have finished my 13 week Cathe through the years rotation.

Cheryl Well you have been quite the busy bee. I’m sure you will get your schedule worked out soon. Great job for keeping up with everything with being so busy. Great job on GS Legs too! That was a good plan to do legs before your yoga day. If I had been smart, I would have stretched out my legs yesterday instead of curling in a ball and not moving.

Pam Well, great job on that extra hard CCC mix! I was wondering when you described it where you put the core sections. The way you had it sounds like it was a Hiit workout for the first half followed by the CCC express premix. You are so good having done that extra round of the jump forward into the pushups too. I would have skipped them. I can’t believe how fast my rotation went either but I have to say I am a little excited to be done. I am planning on doing 4 weeks of Gym Styles after this. Should be a goodie. I do plan on doing another STS round later this year and I might do just meso 3 after my GS rotation. LOL! Be careful, you just might get used to cooking in advance and start having cooking marathons and then will have to buy a deep freezer just for your weekly meals! Great job on AT! Happy Anniversary! 11 years together is fabulous! Are you doing anything special other than glass class and Athletic Training?

Eunice Great job on Yoga Max and for starting STS! Way to go on those pushups. I can’t do the bootcamp pushups on my toes. Well, I try but I barely bend my elbows so I don’t really count it as a pushup. Great job on ab ripper X. Abs and yoga/stretching are the areas I need to force myself to do more of. I’m not sure I will do the Cathe through the years rotation again. It was fun this one time but I wouldn’t say I enjoyed it enough to do it again. Just something to cross off my workout bucket list now. When you come back to the US will you be bringing all your dumbbells and weight equipment? Those will be some heavy boxes if you do.

Have a great day!

Janie Good job on GS back, shoulders and biceps. You know you worked hard when you feel like jello. Well I know I bought some begonias, and then I have no idea . I bought a couple of hanging baskets that already had flowers in them. I thought they looked nice :D.

Eunice Sometimes yoga can be a bit deceiving. I haven't done Cathe's yoga workouts too much as I can never seem to find time to fit them in. Good job on STS disc 1. Good for you in doing almost all the pushups on your toes. The bootcamp ones are hard.

Pam I am not feeling too stressed right now about doing a routine for my instructor, but ask me again tomorrow afternoon when I am really doing it . I would love a day that is 75 degrees, I don't think we have been above 70 yet. I love getting flowers out too, it really makes a difference in how you feel. Good job on Athletic Training. Enjoy your glass class and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!

Julie Good job on STS Total Body. That was nice of you and your sister to clean your mom's kitchen and dining room for her. Wow you really did tick off your hamstrings didn't you :p.

Today it was Step Moves. Monday's always seem to be a bad day for me so I kept the workout fairly easy.

Have a great day everyone.

Cheryl

Did the Wedding Video tonight for my cardio.

Eunice, Great job on Saturday's Yoga Max and today's STS disc 1 chest/shoulders/biceps. Good for you doing the most of the push ups on your toes. I'm very proud of you! You did an amazing job throughout. Great job also on Ab Ripper from P90X.

Marta, How ya doing girl?

Pam, Great job on all that cooking for the week. I should do that too. Also great job on AT. Let us know how your glass class went. You know how much I love hearing about it. HAPPY 11th ANNIVERSARY!!!!

Julie, Next Wednesday I will start on Low Impact Series. I still have
gym Style legs to do tomorrow and I'm adding STS Total Body on Thursday. Several days of active rest. Then the following Wednesday will start on Low Impact Series. Great job on Saturday's STS Total Body, cleaning and errands. You both are wonderful daughters for cleaning your Mom's kitchen and dining room. That was so thoughtful. And today's Lower Body Blast, even when you were tuckered out. Congrats for not passing the toilet test!:) Do get the roller going, it will help.

Cheryl, Great job on Step Moves. How is your weather, as good as ours? In the 70's today. Loved it.

Janie

PamOh, I went to check that website and OMG they have jeans on sale even cheaper than VS and I found this cute dress but is black and everything I have is black anyways I'm going to have to wait for next week when we get pay to order I would love to try one of those jeans:D I guess you are going to need to go do some shopping. Thanks for thinking on me when you were having that food I'm not good cooking REAL mexican food but my sister are so when I want something real good I called them and get the recipe from them. Today I was telling DH that he better start asking about how or what we would need to take Sam with us because I'm not living him here if I have to I would stay a month or what ever I need to take him with me, DH said "I believe that" so he better start asking. I stay with CCC as it is I would try to do it this week. Maybe your arms are getting used to ski, good! Not all of them but I did a good amount so funny when I was about to give up I would say to my self "are you stubborn like Julie? oh, I'm not" so I had to drop to my knees, but deff I can feel it today I think I used every single muscle in my body to push my self up because even my back was sore:confused: P90X ab is a good one I like it... Wow! good job getting all that food prep 3 nights worth of cooking its good. Good job doing Athletic Training I like that one too, have fun at your class, you have to show us what you did this time. Happy 11 anniversary, I thought your anniversary was this Oct like us but not I think what it was is that we have the same time, this year is my 11 anniversary as well.

JulieSTS TB is a good one I'm sure you were like fish in the water:cool: Cleaning and running errands is almost like another workout, isn't? Good job doing the cleaning for your mom too that was sweet. I'm glad you got to rest Sunday you really needed that. Good job doing LBB ay ay ay chihuahua, tomorrow you are going to be sore, big time. I know you'll be smiling from ear to ear. I was laughing when I read that the cathe through the year rotation was something to cross off your bucket list:p good job!!! Of course my dumbbells are going back to the US but they go with the furniture so I won't get them as soon as I would like them, but that's alright because 29 Palms has a way better gym that we can use in the meantime.

Cheryl I know, that's what I was telling DH, why I am sore I did yoga? but I guess it does work the muscles too. I hate the slippery hands and feet on the yoga mat though, what do you do for that? any tip? I know you do like yoga so you should try to do Cathe's to see how do you like them. Good job doing Step Moves thats smart to do an easy one for a bad day.:D

JanieThat's a good one to do the wedding video good job!! How much longer of the rotation do you have? you are getting such a good results, love it!!

I was thinking that for doing pushups I used every single muscle on my body because today my back and my quads were sore;) on top of that today I did disc 3 legs:D I decided to use the same workout sheet that I had being using to compare and to change the wights and I think since last time I did STS to now I have done a lot of progress because I'm using heavier weight, well I hope I can keep up with that.
Today Sam got a bath OMG you guys should've seen my boy, he didn't wanted to go to the door so funny he was on his bed giving me the look "NO I'm not going anywhere" DH was here so he called him he walk half way then went back to his bed, DH had to carry him out to the van, so funny..
Also.... Rachel got back from school today walked to her room, I asked what she was doing she said I'm paying to my friend money, what money? well the thing is that that "friend" sold a pice a candy to Rachel for $6.00  I was so mad, then after that she realized that what she did was wrong dad was here trying to make her understand that, I was so mad that I ended up laughing, I told Rachel that her friend was on trouble because she is not even allowed to share food at school, why selling it? so tomorrow I'm going to school to the office, but Rachel say "NO please just ground me for the whole week but don't tell on my friend" OMG kids, kids, kids!
Have a great day every one!:D:D

Julie Great job on STS Total Body. What a nice surprise cleaning your mom's kitchen and dining room for her. I bet she was thrilled! you need those days where you just lay around sometimes to recover from all of the other days! Great job on LBB when you were so sore and on failing the toilet test! I hope they are feeling a little better today!
Yep, that is exactly what my CCC premix was like. It was a little confusing the way that it is chaptered. The first time through each of the cardios she has each little cardio section as it's own chapter, but the second round is all 3 of them, then the abs are a separate chapter. Now that I understand that better I think I'll get a better mix! i was tempted to skip the extra round of jump forward into pushups but I figured it was there so I'd go ahead and do it. That is a tough one though! No we really didn't do anything for our anniversary since I had my class. I didn't stay for the whole thing though so that we could have dinner together at least! You're so funny, calling AT something special for our anniversary!

Cheryl You sound like me not knowing what the flowers and plants are that you bought. I just buy what I like the look of! I'm glad you aren't feeling stressed about your routine, I hope you stay just as calm! I hope your weather warms up for you too and thanks for the anniversary wishes.
Great job on Step Moves. I like to do that one on days when I don't have a lot of motivation!

Janie Great job on the wedding video! I don't think the cooking for the week will be a regular thing for me. I wanted to make sure we could have dinner together after my class since it was our anniversary and didn't want to be eating at 10 pm. I had also just seen a recipe for make ahead pizza dough that they say can be kept in the refrigerator for several days so I wanted to try that. We love make your own pizza night but it can be tough to do on a weeknight unless I buy the dough. I was a little disappointed at glass class last night. The first sconce that I made turned out pretty good, but it fell off the mold in the kiln so it had a little bump on the side of it. They are going to re slump it and it should be ok. The other 4 though had some kind of specs all over them. It looks like some dust or something got on them and they baked into the glass :( I tried using some steel wool to take them off but that didn't work, so I tired putting this powder over it to cover it up. I tried with one of them and once it is fired we will see if it works. If not, then I will be making 4 more :(

Eunice Oh I love the WHBM dresses too. I have a really cute black dress that I got there this spring. I just love their jeans, I usually wear a size smaller than I would at some other places. Like at Loft, I normally wear a 4 or a 2, at WHBM I order a 2 by default, but have had to buy 0 in some of them. I don't think we get a lot of good authentic mexican food around here, but there are a couple of places that are really good.
Oh yes, i'm pretty sure you would be staying in Australia if you couldn't bring your boy Sam home with you :p Hopefully he can come right home and there will be no issues. I am definitely not as stubborn as you or Julie when it comes to push ups! Sometimes I tell myself I can do 4 more, but my body doesn't always listen to me! Good for you on those total body DomS! yea! I might have to check out the P90x abs, I'm always looking for good ab routines. I don't like the core max though because they are so long. I like them to be around 10 minutes.... Well we are celebrating 11 years together, just a few months apart. You might get to celebrate yours back in the US!
Oh boy, disc 3 is a really tough one, especially when you are already sore. Those meso 1 leg workouts get me baaaaad every time! Great job upping your weights too! Oh poor Sam, that's so funny, they just know when you want to do something that they don't like!
WHAT?? Rachel's friend charged her $6 for a piece of candy?! That is crazy! i understand her not wanted to tell on her friend though - you never want to get your friends in trouble! So what did you end up doing?

This morning for me was Rhythmic Step. Such a fun one that just flies by. It's so crazy, I almost subbed it out because I thought that I had just done it, but I decided to do it anyway. Then about 30 seconds in I realized that I haven't done it in awhile, it was Step Blast that I was thinking of  ay yi yi. Anyway, i hope everyone is having a great day!

Pam

Last night I took the foam roller to my sore hamstrings and inner thighs. I think it helped a little but I was still sore when I woke up. I did Intensity this morning so hopefully that will work out any remaining DOMS that are left.

So I forgot to tell you guys what my sweet Ozzie did yesterday when I was doing the floor work of LBB. We were doing the straight leg raises and then the pizza presses (128 total for those counting). I was so tired and my hamstrings were so sore that when I was doing the first leg, I kept putting my leg down in between the foot position changes (so every 32 raises). When I started doing the second leg, Ozzie decided to be a dear motivator and laid down under my leg so I couldn’t rest it on the floor like the first leg. Cathe must have had a talk with him!

Cheryl Great job on Step Moves! Mondays and Wednesdays are my hardest days. I tend to not sleep well Sunday night because I am so excited to be going back to work on Monday and by Wednesday my energy levels are starting to putter out. I tend to get my second wind on Thursdays and Fridays though. Good luck with your project for the PT. I know you will do great.

Janie Great job on the Wedding Video cardio! I think you will be starting the LIS when I am about finishing it up. Good thing you are going to have some active rest days in there after STS Total Body DOMS (that’s my new name for that one). I can’t believe how sore I got after that one but then again, I hadn’t lifted weights in over a week because I was doing the Shock Cardio series so I guess my body got the shock of a lifetime.

Eunice Great job on disc 3 and upping those weights! That is the best thing every, seeing your progress like that. That’s great that you will get to use the gym while you wait on your weights. I think I would go crazy if I couldn’t lift after a couple weeks. Sam sounds like my Maggie. She seems to know when it is bath time and refuses to move. We have to carry her into the tub. $6 for a piece a candy! That better have been one big piece of the most delicious candy ever for $6.

Pam Great job on Rhythmic Step! Oh boy, getting your step routines mixed up already. Well I’m glad you decided to do it instead of subbing it out for Step Blast. Yes my mom was very happy with her gift. She said it was the best Mother’s Day gift she has ever gotten. That’s a bummer that your sconces had something all over them. I hope the powder covers it up and you like it so you don’t have to make 4 more. That is really weird that the chapters were set up so crazy like that. Now that you have it figured out, I’m excited to see how round 2 of the new and improved CCC turns out.

Have a great day!

Tonight was Gym Style Legs. Yep, got sick. It's the GERD. Did you all see the newsletter. That's what's happening.:( Julie you were right on. The good news is I'm done with the Gym Styles (phase 2) now for phase 3. Low Impact series for two weeks. I'll start them not this Wed. but the next one. I can't wait! But Thursday I'm going to add in STS Total Body because Cathe didn't give me any time for active recovery but I'm taking it anyway and in the mean time Joey and I will go to the beach on Thur. and work and run on the beach until next Wed. More good news. Joey found out he can hitch a ride on Wi-Fi with our internet over there. I can stay in touch with you all. Yea!

Eunice, I have about 4 more months to go in the rotation Cathe gave me. I love what I'm doing. It won't be the end though, If I must, will do it all over again. Will ask Cathe again what to do next. LOL Good that you have DOM's from your exercises, you know you are working when that happens. Great job on STS disc 3 legs. Congrats for making progress. I'm so proud of you! Yea! Your boy Sam is adorable. Wonder why they do that when it's bath time. You would think the warm water would be enough for a pleasant experience. LOL:D Yes, kids, kids, kids. What did you do?

Pam, Great job on RS. Yes it is a fun workout! Oh no, about your sconce, let us know what happened after you put the powder on them. Hope they turn out unique instead of having to do it over again.

Julie, Nice job on that roller on your hamstrings and inner thighs. Funny that Ozzie had a little talk with Cathe. Hmmmm. LOL Great job on Intensity this morning. Hope your tighness/sore muscles get better. I love the new name; STS Total Body DOMS. Makes me wonder what kind of shock my body will take. LOL OOOWE! I'll let you know.:D

Take care ladies,

Jane

Julie oh my gosh, I can't believe you got up and did intensity with such sore legs! You are a machine! great job. That's pretty cute that Ozzie kept you from cheating :p my cat Butters sometimes likes to come and walk under me when I am doing planks or something
I know, I can't believe I am getting my step routines mixed up like that  I was glad that I went ahead with RS as planned. Oh how sweet that your mom said it was her best mother's day gift ever. I haven't thought of anything for my mother OR MIL yet, I need to get busy there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the sconces. I'll see tomorrow night.

Janie Great job on GS legs. I was thinking about you when I read the weekly newsletter, how timely was that information about GERD?! I'm glad to hear that we will be able to hear from you when you go to the beach too! That is great news. I'm not too concerned if I do have to do the sconces over. They really don't take too long to put together and I want them right. It will be nice if the fix does the trick though.

Marta I hope we didn't lose you!
Hi Eunice! I hope you are doing well!

This morning for me was LISTB Express premix. I picked the pre-mix and started going and 15 minutes in she started doing the stretch! I couldn't figure out what was going on, but it turns out I picked the pre-mix right below the one I wanted, and it was upper body only for only 19 minutes. So then I ended up going back to the right pre-mix and doiing the parts that I missed. So I guess it was my own Total Body Express scramble! It's kind've nice doing just one set of the exercises and going heavier on the weights, altho I felt like I didn't get as good of a workout. I hope everyone is having a great day!

Pam

Well my hamstring DOMS cleared up just in time for me to do High Reps this morning. I was nervous because last night they were still a little sore and I thought I might not be able to do the leg portion of High Reps well but I did it. Now I am down to the Low Impact Series left to complete.

Janie Great job on Gym Style Legs! I know it was probably tough wanting to do it this one last time with the problems with the stability ball and your GERD. I’m sorry your GERD is causing problems like this. Not sure what to suggest to help with that other than taking things slow. That’s exciting that you guys have Wi-Fi out at the beach house.

Pam Great job on your Total Body Express scramble! I feel the same way about the express premix. I feel like if I only do the one set, I’m not getting a good workout even if I heavy up. I’m not sure that is true but I still feel that way. I think the reason I made it through Intensity is because I remember it helping get rid of my DOMS several times in the past. It seems to be a miracle workout in that regard even though it is pretty tough and those sprawl/jabs are not as much of a gift as Cathe leads on.

Have a great day!

Pam So good that you let me know about the sizes in that brand I usually order size 4 so do you think I should order a size 2? oh just stick with 4's? Julie wins that title NOT me I still listen to my icky body when it doesn't want to go any more but Julie wins, she is the star right here!!! P90X abs is 15 min long it doesn't feel to long it moves pretty fast from one move to the next one so if you have it you should give it a go. That's right I'll get to celebrate ours back in the US Oct 28.;) I think meso 2 legs always get me more that meso 1 legs. Well, I think Rachel talked to her friend yesterday because she got the money back, yesterday they had the cross country run and when we got there to see them I asked her who was the girl who was selling the candy, she told me don't worry she is going to give me the money back.
Good job doing RS I know you like that one so I'm glad you sticked to it. also for doing double premix from LISTB, so funny what we can do sometimes:p

Julie Wow!!! I was thinking of you yesterday, what would Julie do if she was so sore and feel like she couldn't do anything? well, I think she would still go ahead and workout, so No excuses for me:confused: nice job miss, mmmmm I'm still thinking what should I name you? :D OK, Julie, good job doing Intensity with big DOMS.. So cute Ozzie (I don't remember the floor leg WO)trying to help mommy at least you had a better support for your leg, warm, soft, and nice. Rachel got her money back, I think next time I go to the store I'm going to ask her what kind of candy did her friend sold for so much money I'm going to buy it and give her candy back.
Also for doing HR, I'm glad your DOMS are gone just for a while, but not for to long I think after doing HR.

Janie Good job doing GS Legs, so sorry to heard that you got sick again, I haven't read Cathe's newsletter, I', going to have to check it out. Good for you you are working real hard too with this rotation I would love to give it look to see what did Cathe did for you. So nice that when you got o the beach house you are going to be able to have the net so so can still keep in touch with us. Funny dogs and they love to swim but not bath  I didn't have to do anything about Rachel her friend decided to return the money back.

Yesterday I got busy Stacy and Rachel got the cross country run we went to see them Stacy got 4th place in her group 1st grade and Rachel got 7th place in her group too, she did qualify for the district I think its going to be in two weeks. yay!! she was so excited about it.
I almost don't do anything yesterday I was busy then going to school but when I saw my self on the mirror I said to my self "ooooh no, you have to workout, you need to losse some weight" but my legs DOMS started to getting set yesterday after noon, oh, well you still are going to workout I said to my self so I did MMA:Fusion I didn't have time to do anything else it felt short but is 50 min long I wanted to add a little extra something but then it was time to cook dinner..
Today I have to do back/triceps disc 2 I'll do it in a bit.
Have a nice day..

Tried to do 40/20. Got through 20 min., man that one is hard. Better than nothing I guess. I just love the steps in the beginning. I could do that all day. Wait, that's not the point is it? LOL:rolleyes: Although the leg work I did yesterday might also have something to do with it.

Pam, Great job on LISTB Express pre. Even though it wasn't the workout you wanted, you did it. Scrambling it up just made your body confused. As you know, that's a good thing.;) Let us know about the sconces when they are done.

Julie, Great job on HR this morning so glad your DOM's weren't so bad while doing them. When I get home from the Beach House I'll be starting th LIM series. I can't wait. Looks like you will start before me and am looking forward to them through your eyes. There is surgery I might be able to have for my GERD. It's a magnet that closed the asphogus and won't let the acid out, but will let food in. I think I might talk to my doc about that the next time I see her. You go in and it's done within 30 min. and then you can even go back to normal life the next day. The people who have it done are back to normal people again.

Eunice, Congratulate Stacy on 4th place in the cross contry run. Yea! 7th place for Rachel is absolutely wonderful too. Give them the victory hug for me. Well done and qualified for the district! Awesome! Love it when you talk yourself into exercising, LOL. I do that sometimes too. LOL Great job on MMA: Fusion. Are you doing to workouts a day?

Take care ladies,

Janie

Julie I'm glad that your hamstring DOMS cleared up for you to do High Reps. Great job! This morning I was doing high step challenge and thinking about how I thought I wasn't getting a good workout yesterday with only one set for each body part. But in HSC, there is only 1 set of most of the exercises and I don't have that same issue...:confused: I think it may be a mental thing since the 'regular' workout has 2 sets you feel like that is what you need to do.....idk! Oh yes, I am never thanking Cathe for the gifty of the sprawl/jabs when I do Intensity. There is also a section of the Hi Hiit part that she says is going to be a little easier and it's a really tough section. at least I always think so!

Eunice Yes, I would order the 2's if I were you. Their jeans usually have some stretch to them and the times I have bought the size that seemed to fit me when I first tried them on I've always wished I had bought a size smaller after I start wearing them. At our Girl's night out last night we celebrated my birthday since I missed it in April and they gave me a gift certificate for WHBM! :D looks like I get to go do some shopping now!!! You're right, Julie is the star for being stubborn! :p I don't have the P90x abs, can you get just the abs, or do you have to get the whole P90x program? I'm glad you get to celebrate your anniversary back in the us. Of course, that is if you aren't still in Australia with Sam ;):p For some reason the meso 1 legs always get me the worst, especially the first week. Probably because I haven't been working my legs hard enough before I start it. Oh I'm so glad to hear that Rachel got her money back from her friend and you didn't have to get involved. That is a really good idea for you to replace the candy for her too. What a great mom you are!
wow, congratulations to the girls with cross country. Making district is so exciting, good for her!!! Good for you getting your workout in even though you were so busy. MMA Fusion is a nice length and I think it's the toughest of the MMA workouts, so you still got in a great workout even if it wasn't quite a full hour.

Janie Oh yes, 40/20 is one tough workout, good for you getting through 20 minutes, that is most of it anyway! I imagine your leg work the day before definitely played a part there! The woman who owns the stained glass shop called me yesterday to say that what I did the other night didn't fully take care of the problem but that she thinks sandblasting would do it. She is going to have her DH sandblast one of them to see....ay yi yi...

This morning I almost talked myself into not getting up to workout. I had girls night out last night and when I got home DH had a neighbor over for basketball and beer. I went to bed around 10 and woke up at 1 am to discover that he wasn't in bed. I was worried that he had fallen asleep downstairs and went to check, and they were still drinking and watching basketball! So then I couldn't get back to sleep for awhile and then he woke me up again when he did come to bed. I talked myself out of just sleeping in though and got up and did High Step Challenge. I really like that workout and haven't done it in awhile. It moves so fast and you are done before you know it, so it was a good one to do when I wasn't feeling motivated. As i was telling Eunice, we finally celebrated my birthday at our GNO last night. They gave me a gift certificate to WHBM and some really nice coasters for the new bar and this cool little device to make stuffed hamburgers. It looks like we'll be having some fun burgers soon! Of course I have some shopping to do too! Have a great day ladies!

This morning was Afterburn! I was trying to think whether this one is harder than CCC. I can’t really say that it is harder or easier only that I don’t have dread the idea of doing Afterburn like I do CCC. CCC just doesn’t have the fun factor and variety that Afterburn does.

Eunice Great job on fitting in MMA Fusion! I bet that helped work out some of the leg DOMS too! Don’t be too quick to give me the stubborn title. There have been times when I just wimp out on myself because I am too tired. I really wanted to wimp out today on the burpee pushups and the dragging plank/pushups but I stuck too it. I count them down so that I can tell myself, “just 4 more, you can do it”. That’s a nice idea to buy the candy and give it back to Rachel’s friend since she is giving her the money back. Yep my DOMS were only gone for a little while. They came back this morning but not near to the degree after STS TB. I had some in my inner thighs and during the warmup we did plié squats and I was like “oh boy no I remember those disc lunges in High Reps”. That is really great that Rachel is going to district for running. Good luck to her!

Janie Great job on getting through what you could on 40/20! I’m really impressed you did that one following GS Legs! I don’t have the guts to do any of the Hiits using a step after working legs. You are so good to have gotten that far with it. I agree about the warmup of 40/20, it is really a good warmup but yeah that’s not really the point of the workout. That’s an interesting surgery for the GERD. Seems like it isn’t that bad as far as time out and not having to get opened up. Guess it is something to look into if it would make life easier and doesn’t involve a bunch of medication or time recuperating. But any surgery can have its pros and cons too. Good luck on whatever you decide.

Pam You are so good for getting up and doing HSC! That is a tough workout and to do it with little sleep is pretty impressive. I love it that one too because it goes by so much faster than you think. Those sound like some really great gifts. You have terrific friends that seem to know you very well. I think I have the Ab Ripper X DVD that I can send to you. Each P90X weight DVD has the Ab Ripper X workout on it but for some reason they include the workout on a separate DVD with the program. If you want it, just PM me your address and I will send it to you.

Have a great day!

Julie Great job on AB! Hmmm...I'm not sure if it as hard as CCC or not, but I agree, it doesn't have the dread factor, despite those awful dragging planks and burpee pushups. I am with you on counting those down. There are only 4 of the dragging planks, but man they are hard! wow, that is so nice of you to offer to send me your Ab ripper X DVD. You don't need it? If you really don't then I will PM you my address. I am always searching for good ab workout add ons. It seems like I have 3-4 that I go to all of the time.

Wow, pretty quiet out there, I guess everyone is busy this week. This morning for me was supposed to be KPC, but I feel like I have done that one a lot in recent rotations so I did the step part of the wedding video instead. It was pretty fun, but a bit slow in the beginning. That is the one thing that I don't like about some of the older videos, they have a lot more breakdown. Happy Friday everyone. I'm going to a tea with my mother and sisters and niece tomorrow for Mother's day and my MIL is in town for my niece's graduation, so it will be a busy mom's weekend around here. Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Mother's day to the mom's!

This morning was Low Impact Challenge. I did a little better on the 4th combo this time but I really didn’t get it until it was all put together. The blast at the end really got me this morning. I kept expecting it to be done and then Cathe throws another drill at me.

Pam Great job on the Wedding Video step portion! I like the 2nd part of that one the best where the step is turned longways to the TV and it is basically intense drill type moves. You know when I was doing those burpees, the first set went by great but then during the second set after the 3rd or 4th one, I was like, hmm, should I modify these, no, I’m gonna stick em out. I guess I am stubborn. Nope I don’t need the Ab Ripper DVD. I doubt I will ever do the P90X workouts but if I did, the Ab Ripper workout is on the other discs. Enjoy your tea time with your mom and niece and your time with your MIL at the graduation. Happy Mother’s Day to you too!

DH and I have a busy weekend with our normal cleaning and errands plus his brother is getting married tomorrow. Not sure I will have time to check in tomorrow so have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all!

Happy Mother's Day Everyone!
Got Got home earlier than I thought. Did everything I could do to help Joey. We needed to patch the ceiling (because of a leak when we first got our place). Joey can't raise his arm up (bad shoulder) to do this on his own. together we can work on it to make it look good. He will leave again in a couple of days to finish the ceiling and work on the floors, yard...Walked one hour on the beach yesterday and today. Loved doing so, beautiful weather! I will start my Low Impact Series starting tomorrow. Can't Wait!

Pam, When will I see a photo of the sandblasted project of yours? Sometime misfortunes come out very intriguing.:) With all that was happening in your sleep time I'm very impressed you did HSC. Good for you! Oh no, missed your birthday! Well, here it goes:

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear Pam,
Happy Birthday to you.
And many more...

Julie, Great job on Afterburn. You did good, either one of them(Afterburn or CC) are something else.

Pam, Great job on The step Wedding Video. I agree, it's a bit slow in getting going. Do enjoy your family it sounds like a lovely time with them.

Julie, Great job on this morning's LIC. Hey, nice to see you are doing better. Don't you just love that? Yes, it does seem like some of her workouts keep going and going. Like the Bunny Rabbit battery. LOL:D Have a great weekend with family.

Take care everyone,

Janie

I am really losing my consistancy with posting . It seems the days are just flying by. I went through the posts and everyone is doing great with your workouts. My session on Tuesday turned out to be really stressful. My instructor was playing the part of the disinterested client and that really threw me off. It was the longest 30 minutes of my life . Afterwards we went over what I didn't do  but overall it was a good learning experience. I was busy today getting some housework done and working in the garden. I am having my family over tomorrow for Mother's Day so it will be a BBQ. It is really nice here and today was my first day in shorts

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there.

Janie Good job trying doing 40/20 that one is a tough one I'm sure you'll get better with time, for real you will look awesome even doing half of it;) I agree with you step portion in that one is a fun one I love it as well. Thanks for the hugs for Rachel and Stacy:D Crazy what we have to do to get us moving!!!

Pam DH would said to me " everything is on your head" so I guess you are right about thinking that you need more than one set to get a good workout. Thanks for the heads up.... wow!! congratulations on getting a gift card to that store, do you have one near to you? oh you order online? oh anyways have fun shopping. I'm not sure about getting only the ab cd, I would love to share it with you I don't think DH have the thingy to burn or copy a dvd I'm going to check that out. Hahaha!!! I'll have to make sure we are in the states for our anniversary!!:roll eyes: Oh, I know Rachel is so excited about going to the district she wants to run and has being asking DH about it but the weather is not that good, raining and very cold.... Thanks for saying that I'm a good mom, but you know what? if I don't read this I wouldn't remember about replacing the candy!!! so now "I'll make sure to do that" Good job getting up to do HSC, I just hate when it happen that DH is not on bed:mad: you are very good doing HSC I don't care how much I love a workout if I don't feel good I won't do it.

Julie Awesome, you are almost done with your rotation, good job doing Afterburn. mmmmm now I'm thinking, wondering which one is harder??? Last friday I did CCC but I do not remember Afterburn I think I need to do those on the same week to be able to compare. Hahaha!!! but at least you are my "pushing button" every time I think about not doing a workout, pushups, Julie is in the back of my mind telling me "oh yes if I can do it you can do it!! I'd being there when the warm up hurts so good, and it feels like a workout, you got to love that..... Have you tried the ab ripper? Also for doing LIS LIC I'm glad that you are getting the 4th combo down, but yes Cathe has the costume of throwing extra drills, just in case you were not paying attention!!! hahaha! Don't work to hard... have fun!

Hi Cheryl I'm glad you made it... sometimes that happen we get busy and is hard to come here, but I know you are soooooo busy studying for your PT and work, home, don't worry.. You are so brave for doing that session with your trainer, I would had being sweating with out working out:confused: yay!!! for you and also for wearing your first pair of shorts!!! I'm wrapped with my coat, jeans, sweaters.:p Some how I enjoy this that's why DH wants to take me to Alaska to live, crazy!!!

Well, I had a very bad weekend Friday I did CCC it was fun (I know huh! Pam and Julie) Then DH had the last formal dinner, since we got here I had being only twice to those vents, I don't like to go, but I did it this time just to please DH, anyways I don't know how in this world I ended up drinking red wine:eek: way more that I would regularly, I think is because we got to use the"silver" silver wear and the cups were so little small wine cups so I got red wine it was really good, that it kept despairing and appearing in my cup:mad: so I got the idea of NOT drinking much but in reality I was.... we got to sit on the head of the dinning room with the head of the Army, this is only because it was DH last formal dinner, thanks goodness, we got up after the main meal, took a break, then went in for dessert then another break, then the toss (sp?) OMG we got home after 1am:confused::mad: so weird from me, also a friend of Kenny got me another glass of wine, ooooooh sooooo crazy!!! so yes yesterday I was on PJ and just laying on the couch with a horrible headache, I went to bed before 8 pm, I promises never, ever, do this aging.... and everything because I wanted to please him....
Oh well, so no workout for me yesterday or today:confused::confused: I really have to pump another notch my game because I'm gaining weight:confused::confused::mad: have a nice day everyone...

Eunice Maybe your DH should take you on a cruise to Alaska instead of moving there. All of the cruise ships are here now doing the runs until the end of September, beginning of October. The Disney Wonder is sailing out of Vancouver and it would be fun for the family :D. Oh no red wine, that can be deadly if you are not paying attention to how much you are drinking. Sorry that you were feeling so crappy but good job on CCC earlier in the day.

For me it was yoga this morning and since it has been so nice I rode my bike there. It felt good to ride again. After that my parents and brother came over for a BBQ and after they left I worked out in the garden again. It took tomorrow off from work and it feels so good to know I can sleep in one more morning.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Cheryl
