Strength in Numbers

Julie Great job on Supersets, it you are keeping up with Cathe I would say you were doing A-OK! Oh yes, Saturday was the workout marathon. Whew! I was a little puddle of sweat after that. STS TB was a doozy for sure and I am REALLY feeling it today. I had forgotten about all of the rushing to change weights. That is one that I end up with a big mess to clean up at the end.

Cheryl Thank you so much for the birthday wishes! That was so sweet! I was really wishing I had remembered your advice about doing the abs first in PUB. Hopefully I will remember that the next time. Those are tough abs when your arms AREN'T already dead from the workout. The basement passed the final inspection yesterday, but there are still some things that need to be done over the next few weeks. The granite will be the last thing because my DH is going to have to go to Pennsylvania and pick it up. Plus his brother needs to cut it once we send him a template, but we can't do that until the cabinet guy finishes up a couple of things. It's mostly done though and we are really happy with how it is turning out.

Great job with your KM premix. It's great that you got a workout in despite your cold and your class work!

Janie great job on 10-10-10. I haven't done that one in awhile but it's a goodie. I love the variety too! I'm not quite done with the yard work, but at least it doesn't seem overwhelming anymore. I told DH I am hiring someone to spread mulch though! Oh yes, I love getting little bird families in my bird houses. you reminded me that I need to get my hummingbird feeders up too!
Thank you so much for the birthday song, I just loved it!!

Eunice Do the recipes you submit have to be your own creation, or can you submit anything that is healthy? I am asking because I would like a weighted vest! :p I just got a new step last year because the rubber part on my old one was all torn up. I had that one for a long long time though. I am also needing slanted risers......hmmmmmmm. My cold is almost gone now and I don't want to see it again! I will tell it to stay far away from AU! :D I don't think I have looked at the April rotation, I will have to check it out. I don't know what brand my flat iron is, it's just a cheap one that I paid around $20 for, nothing special. That is so funny that you DH is telling you you need to practice drinking red wine more.
great job on disc 32, I love the plyo legs workouts. They are my favorite leg workouts. Great job incorporating some ab work too. Congratulations on those nice DOMS, way to go! I rarely get back DOMS. I'll have to think about that back flexing the next time I work my back.

This morning was supposed to be 4DS KB, and I like that one, but it's been in my rotations a lot lately. Plus it's my birthday so I decided i was just going to do something fun. I did the BOSU for the first time since I sprained my ankle. I was very very careful when we got to the part that I sprained my ankle on and it went great. It was a lot of fun. I hope everyone has a great day!

Pam

This morning was Step Blast and it was quite the blast. I was very sweaty by the end.

Cheryl Great job on Kick Max premix! Glad you made time for working out and studying. The low impact premix was probably a good choice being sick because I think high intensity workouts can lower your immunity levels which you don’t want. Good luck in class.

Janie Great job on 10*10*10! That is a goodie with a little of everything so you don’t get bored—not that I ever do anyway with Cathe! Oh, I love seafood! Seafood is the only meat I eat and I don’t think I could ever become a full-fledged vegetarian just because of that. I love fish, shrimp, crab, lobster, clams, … well everything! We don’t have an Anthony’s around here. Just Red Lobster and a Joe’s Crab Shack. I have never been to Joe’s before but I think I might ask DH to take me there on my birthday.

Eunice Great job on plyo legs, disc 32! I’m horrible about not tacking on ab work and that is an area I definitely need to work on. It’s just hard to make myself want to do ab work when I don’t enjoy it much. I’m the same way with back work. I used to never feel it but now I really try to squeeze my back muscles during the work and seem to feel it much more during and afterwards. Funny how we all have different stories for our start with Cathe. Mine started with Basic Step (trying to learn step was slow going for sure) and then I ordered Muscle Max, Gym Styles and it snowballed from there on out. Enjoy your two weeks with the girls!

Pam Happy Birthday! I think you have every right to do what you want to do on your birthday. I’m glad you were careful this time when you got to the same part you sprained your ankle. Even though you know how to wrap it now, I’m sure you don’t want to have to go through that again. Plus, I’m not sure but doesn’t spraining your ankle (or tearing a tendon) make you more susceptible to that injury again? Not sure on that though. Oh I hate having a big mess to clean up after I’m already tired from working out. Sometimes, if I am organized, I try to put things away as I finish with a particular piece of equipment. I can’t remember which DVD it is in but I remember Cathe making a joke about her mess with all her weight equipment.

Have a great day!

It was a rest day today except a little ab work, and enjoyed every minute of it. :D Went in the hot tub tonight. Wonderful.

JanieGood job doing 10*10*10* I don't know how many 10's are in there but anyways good for you and for having a good sweat feast, see? that show you that you don't need much to get a good workout in. I very highly recommend taking a time off just to let the muscle to recover and get ready to hit it again and harder.

Eunice, Great job on Plyo legs disc 32 and ab work. Congrats on your DOMs. I hear Cathe say that when we do exercise to think about the muscles you are working and that will help. Well done! Enjoy your girls during the next two weeks. That's got to be nice. You are so sweet. I'm doing a rotation and my next active recover is one more week away. Then I'll be done with STS and start Gym Style workouts for one month.

Pam, Great job on BOSU. Isn't that fun?!? Glad you enjoyed that. Wish Cathe would think about making a DVD out of the BOSU and show us lots of ways to use it. I love hummingbird season.

Julie, Great job on SB. I love seafood too. Joey and I went to Joe's Crab Shack a long time ago. They are good!

Take care,

Janie

Janie Good job on 10-10-10. My cold isn't too bad but it is affecting my energy or it could be the Nyquil .

Eunice My ankle is doing much better, it is now just this stupid cold. Good job on disc 32 plyo legs. Glad that you have a nice set of DOMS. Oh boy you get to change the clocks now do you. I guess you are going one hour back because you are now going into Fall?

Pam I hope you had a great birthday today. Well if you give me a heads up the next time you do PUB I will remind you to do the abs first :D.
Nice that your basement is almost done. It sounds like it is mostly the finishing touches that are left. Way to go with your BOSU workout. I am going to have a session on BOSU training in a couple of weeks.

Julie Step Blast is such a fun workout that does leave you sweaty. I wanted to do a bit more with Kick Max since it had been a long time since I had done it but I thought I should tone it down a bit with my cold.

So I went to my class tonight after work. She gave me a couple of surprise quizzes and I did quite well since I only had three days to absorb how the heart works with weight training and cardio. One I got 100% the other one I got 25 out of 30. My instructor was quite impressed with me. So I only have two more classes of theory left before I get to the weight room.

Have a great day everyone.

Cheryl

Pam I hear once on FB that the recipe doesn't have to be your creation maybe something that you did twick you know maybe you did change something on the recipe and now is much better and healthy, but I saw Tricia she posted a recipe from her books (I think I'm not sure) but I know now she is doing the raw food diet. It would be good if you submit a recipe and get some goodies. Oh, I have to look for one when we get back home for now I'll use Brandy's. Yeah, DH said that he like me happy:confused: I wonder if he means that without wine I'm a angry person:confused: Yes, flex those muscles if you will see a big diff, now if I only can flex my biceps:roll eyes: that is a body part a could get some improve.
Good job doing the BOSU workout with out getting any inconvenient we don't need one, don't we??? Enjoy your special day Pam, I know you will do that.

JulieGood job doing Step Blast that one for sure is a fun one!! I know we need to get more ab work in. Isn't funny that when we do what we are supposed to be doing we get better results? I'm enjoying my back being sore even my lower back is soooo sore. It is diff for one and each of us, and we still here doing Cathe's workout. I will try to enjoy my 2 weeks with my girls.

Janie How fun having a rest day and enjoying a hot tub, that sounds just soooooo good. And that's why Cathe is the best on this because she knows best and everything she say is right. Are you still doing the special rotation that Cathe did give you? Wow! you are almost done with STS you are going to miss it.

Cheryl sorry about the stubborn cold, probably Nyquil is not helping with the energy part.:p and another hand I'm glad that your ankle is getting better, yes we did went one hour back it gets dark early the weather is changing little by little some days are nice and warm anthers they are very cold and windy... Fall is coming!!! Wow!! Cheryl your classes sound very interesting and so good on you for doing that good on your test even when you did have only 3 days to get all that info in, it really looks like you are enjoying it. High 5^ to you!!!

This morning I got up very surprised with out much of legs DOMS, but time went by and my legs started to feel stiff and stiff and stiffer so, I did Step Moves instead of Slide & Glide and it was hard to step up and down I was feeling it, but now I'm walking like crab very careful and with stiff legs... I'm glad tomorrow I have upper body!!
Have a good night ladies.:D:D

Julie Great job on Step Blast! Love that one! Thanks for the birthday wishes. you are right, I don't want to go through the sprained ankle thing again. I also think you're right that once you have done it you are more likely to injure it again. I am just like you, I try really hard to have all of my equipment put away before the stretch, but there are a few workouts that it just isn't possible. It's weird, but I hate having to put everything away when I'm done, even though it doesn't take very long  I heard cathe making that joke about her mess recently, but I don't remember which dvd it is either.

Janie Good for you getting some ab work in on your day off. Oh, sitting in the hot tub sounds heavenly right now, my legs have been screaming at me! oh yes, I love the BOSU and I'm glad to be able to do it again. I would love it if Cathe would do a BOSU dvd, maybe I'll put that in the suggestions. I love humminbird season too. We put a chair at the window under the feeder so the cats can sit and watch them, they love it too! :D

cheryl I did have a nice birthday, thanks. And please do be sure and remind me about doing those abs first the next time I do PUB! I can't wait to hear about your Bosu workout in your class! Great job on your quizzes, it sounds like you are just quite the start student! I'm sure it will be nice to get finished with the theory.

Eunice I guess I am going to have to look for some recipes to post. We'll have to coordinate though so that we aren't competing against each other! Well it's good that you are happy when you drink wine! There are some people who are just the opposite and those are the people that shouldn't be drinking any. I don't think you are angry when you don't drink wine silly! OK, I am going to be flexing away during my next weight workout!
Oh boy, your legs sound like mine yesterday. They are not quite as bad today, but still not great. DH couldn't even touch my legs yesterday without them hurting. Maybe this is why he has been afraid to do a Cathe leg workout?! I think you were smart to do step moves instead of S&G. Hope they are starting to feel a little better crabby!

This morning I did not want to get up. I did finally drag myself up though and I was supposed to do cycle max but I didn't feel like it so I did Mindy Extreme Intervals. My legs were screaming at me at first but they loosened up as I went and I got through it ok. DH took me to my favorite restaurant for dinner and brought a really nice bottle of wine. He called the restaurant to see if we could send a taste of the wine to the chef and ask him to recommend a pairing. They said yes, but when we got there he wasn't there  :( This chef has a real talent for food and wine pairing so we were a little disappointed, but we managed ok :D It was a really nice evening. Tonight we are going to a Red Hot Chili peppers concert so I think tomorrow will be a lonnnng day. Have a great day ladies!

Pam

This morning was Push/Pull. I like this one because you can go heavy on it but it seems like there should be 2 or 3 sets for each exercise rather than 1. Although, it is nice to have a shorter work out every once in a while.

Janie Love your rest day! Little ab work and then relaxing those hard worked muscles in the hot tub. Sounds like a great day to me anyway!

Cheryl Those scores are great especially given they were surprise quizzes and you are fighting a cold. I don’t know about you but whenever I have a cold it is much harder to think. I bet you can’t wait to hit the weight room in your classes.

Eunice Great job on Step Moves! Slide & Glide would be tough with sore, stiff legs. Step Moves was probably a good choice to sub in. Oh, I love those times when I am walking like an old lady because I have super leg DOMS. I’m hoping for sore shoulders and a sore back tomorrow from today’s weight work.

Pam Great job on subbing in Extreme Intervals! Well despite the little hiccup at the restaurant it sounds like you had a good time. Oh my! A Red Hot Chili Peppers concert sounds amazing! My favorite RHCP song is Lover Rollercoaster. It is in one of Cathe’s workouts (MIC, I think) and I love it. I love living vicariously through you. You seem to go to the best concerts. Do let us know how it was.

Have a great day!

Pam Oh don't worry I believe that Cathe uses almost all of the recipes she gets because I submitted mine a while ago and I even was sad because she didn't picked mine but she did after maybe 6-8 weeks. OMG I was thinking about you yesterday when DH touched my legs I was screaming and I remembered when you said that after your DH touched you you needed to be peeled off from the ceiling, that was me yesterday today I'm a bit better. So, I guess your DH haven't done legs yet, he needs too.:p I'm a happy crab today!!! better so much better!! Good job doing Mindy Extreme Intervals. Sounds like you were spoiled yesterday good for you sucks that the chef wasn't there I'm glad you did managed and OMG have fun tonight at the concert I would love to go to one of theme.

JulieGood job doing push/pull great idea about this exercise having 3 sets instead of 1 maybe you can suggest to Cathe and she'll do a new dvd. Are we weird or what? we love this kind of stuff!!! That's what Brandy would said to me you are weird!!!:p I hope you get a good set of DOMS for your shoulders and back.

Today I did disc 30 shoulders/triceps/biceps and I was so happy when I was looking at my weight I was thinking oh, no, I think I can do better than that, and I did shoulder press 45Lb, barbell biceps 45Lb, and tris 15Lb and for the first time ever I did the concentration curl ups with 20Lb yayay!!!! So excited. Well ladies I hope you all have a great day.

I haven't tell you about this girls but I' studying the bible with Jehovah's Witness and today we are going to a very special talk, we are celebrating the Commemoration of Jesus death. The passover, very important day. :D

Tonight was disc 34 back and chest. I used the barbell this time and bench pressed 60#'s, one arm rows were 30# I subed 3 rounds of deadlifts for 40# bar rows close grip (Julie found out what to sub for me) and the last set was 50# deadlifts. I had confidence on the last set. Chest flys was 25# in each hand and the inclines flies were 20#. I might have been able to do 25# but just didn't want to chance it. To me this was a really successful evening. I have two more discs to go and hoping I can do as well with lifting heavy. Then an active recovery week (memory of Cardio Coach) and onto Gym Style for one month. Yea! With all that extra weight I'm lifting I'm seeing only little results. Hmmmmm. I guess it all takes time, I'm in no hurry. It's only been a tad bit over 3 months since I started this program.

Cheryl, Nyquill can do that to you, energy wise. Hoping you will feel better soon. You are doing so well on your test. Wow, I'm impressed.

Eunice, You poor thing, those DOM's are really hitting you hard. You are doing really good. Great job on Step Moves. I am going to miss STS, I love it so much especially lifting heavy.

Pam, I hope you do suggest a BOSU workout from Cathe. It should be so much fun. Great job on Mindy's Extreme Intervals. Aw, sorry the chef wasn't there to pair your food and wine. That would have been awesome. Glad you both had such a nice evening. Enjoy the Red Hot Chili peppers concert. Let us know how it went.

Julie, Great job on Push Pull. Does this one have a premix for two or more times? I thought it did, but it's been awhile. If it does, they do the same thing 2-3 more times. But it's better than one time.

Eunice, Great job on disc 30 shoulders, triceps and biceps. Shoulder press of 45# is amazing! Good for you! You are doing very well on your weights.

Take care ladies, I'm going in to watch some TV. LOL:D

Janie

Julie Great job on push/pull. it is nice to have a shorter one every so often isn't it? The Chili Peppers show was really fun. They didn't play Love Roller coaster, I love that one too. The best song of the night was By the Way, it was so good. I loved the Stevie Wonder song that they do too.
Our oldest took his girlfriend and it was her first concert ever, I think she was a little shell shocked. she said she wasn't expecting it to be so loud. :)

Eunice That is good to know about the recipes. Maybe she doesn't get a lot of them.... I'm glad your legs are starting to do better. I was thinking about your crab walk comment during the day yesterday and was picturing you walking around on your hands and feel with your hands behind you. It made me laugh! No my DH still hasn't done a leg workout, I'm afriad he might have lost his enthusiasm for STS, although it has been kind've a busy week. The concert was good and the rain did finally stop so we were able to sit outside to eat our dinner before the show.
Great job on disc 30. WOW, you did some really heavy weights. WAY TO GO! That is awesome!
Good for you on your bible study too, it sounds interesting.

Janie great job on disc 34. HOLY COW! You are lifting some really heavy weight, that is awesome!!! You and Eunice are tearing it up!!! I'm really impressed. yes, the results can be slow to come, can't they? i also don't think you notice them as much since you are looking at yourself every day. I never heard how Sean O'Malley died, do you know what happened?? That was so sad! :(

Last night our plan was to tailgate in the parking lot before the show. We had gotten tickets for Eric and Ashley for Christmas since they both love the Chili Peppers. We met Ashley and her friend at Whole Foods to pick up some food and when we came out of the store it was pouring rain. We spent about the first 30 minutes sitting in the car waiting for it to clear up, but luckily it did. Eric and his girlfriend came and met up with us to tailgate too, and right when we were getting things set up Ashley discovered she had locked her keys in her car. Luckily we have roadside assistance and they got there before the Chili Peppers started so all was well. I had a very happy girl who was extremely high on something beside me. She kept trying to dance with the people around her, but I just ignored her when she started grabbing my arm  Then she jumped up on her seat and lifted her top to her neck to flash the band :confused: ay yi yi The show was really fun though. We got home around 11:30 so it was tough getting up this morning, but I made it through Afterburn. I'm looking forward to a nice quiet night at home tonight! Have a great day ladies.

Pam

This morning was Legs & Glutes. I have a feeling my glutes are going to be talking to me big time later tonight and tomorrow.

Eunice Great job on disc 30! Whoo Hoo on those weights! You are a machine for sure! Those are very heft and you did awesome! I hope to get my overhead press up to 45 pounds (or more) by the end of this summer. During Push/Pull I actually used 20 pound dumbells for the overhead press but that was only 1 set of 10 reps. No such luck on the shoulder or back DOMS. I think it was because even though I heavied up during PP, there was only the 1 set. I think Janie’s right and there is a premix on PP that does more than 1 set. The story of Jesus’ death is a sad but uplifting story all in the same. If you have the chance, I strongly recommend watching The Passion of the Christ film that Mel Gibson made about 10 years ago. You’ll have to read subtitles because they speak Aramaic, Latin, and Hebrew rather than use English. It is pretty graphic but to me it is the best visual representation of what Jesus went through so that we could be forgiven of our sins.

Janie Great job on disc 34! I’m so glad you incorporated the sub for some of the deadlifts but still felt confident to work one set of deadlifts in there. Even just doing the 1 set will help you get more confident over time. Keep up the good work with those heavy weights. It may take longer but I think this is the way to go for the best results. The bottom line is whether you are happy with what results (no matter how little) you have seen and that in general you are enjoying the program you are working. It seems like you are and that is probably the most important thing.

Pam Wow! Great job on Afterburn especially after a late night out! Now come on, be truthful…that was really you jumping around, dancing with everyone, and flashing the band, wasn’t it? I love the Stevie Wonder song (Higher Ground) too. That’s probably my 2nd favorite after Love Rollercoaster. LOL about not knowing it would be so loud. Poor girl is probably still trying to get her hearing back. I remember my first concert was an Aerosmith concert when I was in 8th grade. Technically my first concert was when my dad took us to see Willie Nelson at the county fair one year. I don’t really count that though since it was outdoors and I actually had to listen to my dad singing over Willie!

Have a great day!

Eunice The Nyquil is not helping with my energy but at least I have a good nights sleep. I hate the time change but at least some days are still nice and warm. Good job on Step Moves and your crab walk with your DOMS :D. Way to go on disc 30 and upping your weight. 45 pounds for your shoulder press is awesome.

Pam I will remind you to do abs the next time I know you are doing PUB. My BOSU class in on the 15th and I will let you know what I learned. It will be nice to be finished with the theory part and get into the gym for the practical part. Good job on the Mindy Extreme Intervals with not wanting to get out of bed. Too bad the chef wasn't at the restaurant but it looks like you made a good choice with the wine. Too funny about the really happy girl beside you at the Chili Pepper concert. I had to laugh at the part where she lifted her top to flash the band. I don't know how you do it to get up to workout after getting to bed so late. Good job on Afterburn though.

Julie Good job on Push/Pull. It is a nice short workout to do every once in a while. I am looking forward to getting to the weight room now. Good job on Legs and Glutes, so are your glute talkin' to ya.

Janie Good job on disc 35 and upping your weight as well. Both you and Eunice are doing great with the that. It takes time to build the muscle but keep it up and you will see more great results.

Well today I am really stuffed up. I was going to do some cardio today but I just thought I would do some weight work. So I decided to to Push/Pull, Julie reminded me of that one. I didn't lift as heavy as I normally would since everything felt really heavy for me today . I was in bed by 7 last night and I think today will be the same. I took today and Tuesday off as vacation so I could make a 6 day weekend out of it and of course I get a cold . I hope it doesn't last very long. So I was going to get a lot done today but it was more of a lazy day.

Have a great day everyone.

Cheryl

JanieWOW!!!!!! You are doing pretty good with that weight! Good job doing disc 34 and that heavy weight!! I think just being able to lift that kind of weight is a big "result" so don't get discourage you are doing A-W-E-S-O-M-E:p:p

Pam Yes Pam you should submit your recipe one girl on FB has done it a few times and she has being getting a few gift certificates so lets do it....How fun going to that concert. So this tailgate means that you can park and sit in your car? did you took your dinner with you? fun...sorry I'm a little behind anyways that was an adventure isn't? . This crabby crab girl is doing much better but this morning workout kick my butt big time. I'm loving the fact that after my week of rest I'm being able to lift a little bit more heavy and feeling it... Good job doing AfterBurn I don't know how can you do it that one is not a walk on the park and with out a good sleep the night before I think is even harder. Have a good night tonight enjoy your quiet night! Oh yes learning about the bible is very interesting!

JulieGood job doing Legs & Glutes I'm sure you won't have any problem listening to those glutes talking to you!:p I think you'll do good by the end of this summer you are going to be lifting more than 45Lb well next time add 2 more sets and you'll get those DOMS for sure. Oh yes I have watched that movie before its a good movie, but nothing like reading the actual account on the Bible and mediated and picture everything that happen to Jesus, yes very sad for what everything he went through but everything was already written on the bible before so that was the prophecies being fulfilled so like you say that we could be forgiven of our sins, if you have your bible you should read the account of Mark chapter 11 to chapter 16.
NOOOOOO my first concert was a Aerosmith concert I LOVE Steven Taylor he is the best singer ever I'd being on 2 of their concerts ... so funny about you having to listen to your dad over the actual singer...

CherylThat's true better to have a good night sleep than anything else. So weird this weeks its being so hot last year by this time we were freezing  so sorry about you being stuffed up it is really bad that you got sick right on your vacation week but good job doing Push & Pull take it easy and I hope you get better soon.

Today I did Cardio super sets + step it was good Cathe kicked my butt real good, I was getting sick of my stomach:confused::eek: but I finished the whole thing... Tomorrow we are getting up early and going to take the girls t the beach since we are having this hot weather...;)
Have a great weekend ladies.:D

Walked Huff and Puff with Rolly today. We took about 35 min.

Pam, What a night you had! Sounds like sooooo much fun. I remember (decades and decades ago) lifting my top up. He He. Oh, being young is so wonderful. I don't know how Sean died, only that he was depressed.:(

Julie, Great job on L&G. I am happy being healthy and fit, you are right, that is the bottom line.

Cheryl, Great job on PP and so sorry about you being stuffed up. Yuck. Do get better and make days lazy until you are better. Poor thing.

Eunice, Great job on Cardio super sets and step. Enjoy the beach, you know how much I love the beach, so I'll be thinking of you tomorrow in that beautiful weather.

Take care,

Janie

Julie Great job on L&G, how are you doing on the toilet test today?! :p
my glutes are STILL feeling my TB STS from Monday
How did you ever guess that it was really me dancing and flashing? ;):D Oh man, I have been wanting to see Aerosmith in concert forever! Their tickets are always crazy expensive though so I can never bring myself to pay that much. Two years ago when they were coming I finally said forget it, I'm going. I bought the tickets and then Steven Tyler feel off the stage and broke his leg and they cancelled the show and never reschedule it. I was so mad  They are just starting another tour so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will come here again on this one. I dont' think I'd count that Willy Nelson show if I were you either :D How funny, sounds like your dad had a good time.

Cheryl It's a lot harder getting up in the morning to workout after late nights that it used to be. When I was younger there were times that I would be out until 2 or 2:30 in the morning and then get up and TEACH a 6:00 am aerobics class. Those days are long gone, I can't even stay up until 2 anymore, let alone getting up at 5:00 afterwards!
Oh sorry to hear that your cold is getting worse. Mine is FINALLY just about gone, but I still have that little lingering annoying cough  wow, a 6 day weekend sounds heavenly, too bad you aren't feeling well enough to really enjoy it. We don't get Good Friday off so it's just a normal weekend for me.

Eunice OK, I have to work on a recipe to submit. Most of my recipes aren't really all that healthy  Maybe a fun citrus scallop recipe. Yes, tailgating is hanging out outside by the tailgate of your car. We usually do it before concerts that are outside or at some of the large arenas. We bring a little table and folding chairs and stuff. So nice that your rest week really helped you with your heavy lifting this week!
Great job on CSS+Step and have a great time at the beach!

Janie Great job on Huff and puff with Rolly, were you huffin and puffin?! Well that is really sad about Sean. It is amazing that someone who had such a positive impact on so many peoples lives could be depressed. How sad :(

This morning for me was LISLIC and I added on the abs from the original recipe LIC. Despite a nice sleep last night I still didn't want to get up, so that was a good easyish workout to do. Happy Good Friday everyone. We are getting up early tomorrow to go furniture shopping for the basement, so just in case I don't get to post, Happy Easter!

Pam

p.s. I just had to come back and add these two things:

1) Janie, I always forget to tell you when I'm wearing your beautiful jewelry, but I have it on today and I think about you all day long :)
2) I've been wondering how my butt could still be so sore from TB STS on Monday. DUH, I forgot all about Afterburn yesterday!!!! Maybe that has something to do with it.....? ;-)

Eunice Good job on Cardio Supersets plus the step part. Enjoy the beach.

Janie Good job on your Huff and Puff walk with Rolly.

Pam I remember those days when I could go to bed late and get up after a couple of hours sleep and workout too. Those days are gone for me too. I have a hard enough time staying up until 9 . Too bad you don't get at least the Friday off, it is nice getting that long weekend. Good job on LIS LIC. Enjoy your furniture shopping.

Well I was still feeling crappy this morning but I tried to do Athletic Step. I got through the warm up and the first segment but that was about it. My neighbour brought over some Oregano Oil that is suppose to be good for a cold. I have tried it and I do feel somewhat better. I will stay away from my Nyquil tonight and see how I feel in the morning. Fingers crossed that I wil feel up to working out.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Here is some really funny stuff, check it out. I tried to share this on OD and no takers. They are sooooooo funny!

This I can relate to! This is one of my worst fears!!!!!!!

Super Funny - YouTube

Funniest Treadmill accident ever - YouTube

Will be going to the beach on Sun.(after my exercises) and will return on Thursday or Friday, see you all when I get back. We have lots of work to do and I'm on my active recovery and will do lots of Cardio Coach on the beach.

Pam, I'm so glad you think of me when you wear my jewelry. that is so cool.:) Great job on LISLIC and the added on abs from LIC. Enjoy your furniture shopping for your basement. How fun that is!

Cheryl, You did really well on AS when feeling so crappy. Now Rest and get better!

Take care ladies,

Janie

Well yesterday was super busy. DH had the day off and I stayed home too so we could do some Spring cleaning. We did some of our regular weekly cleaning and then we shampooed the carpets and gave the dogs a bath. After that we did ran some errands and didn’t get to relax until close to 8 at night. I did get Kick Punch Crunch in in the morning and I did High Step Training this morning. Now we will finish the cleaning and do a little cooking and make some things for my family get together tomorrow for Easter.

Cheryl Great job on Push Pull even though you weren’t feeling well. I think that was a perfect one to do with low energy levels. You get some work in but it doesn’t kill you. DH has had a cold the last few days as well. It has been more in his throat though. He says it feels tight when he swallows so I think he has swollen glands. Plus he has no energy either. I do hope you feel better soon. Nyquil always makes me feel so groggy but I understand it is nice to take sometimes just so you can get some sleep.

Eunice Great job on CSS with the step premix! That is a good one. The workout by itself is a good short cardio but when you add the step premix on it is killer. I’ll have to look into the Bible story. Right now I can’t for the life of me remember what I did with my Bible but I guess I can always look it up online too. I’ve only been to the one Aerosmith concert. DH and I were supposed to go a few years ago when the were touring with ZZ Top and then a few weeks before our concert, they had to cancel the rest of the tour because Steven Tyler fell off the stage at one of the concerts and broke his collar bone. He is one crazy guy though! Have fun at the beach!

Janie Great job on your Huff and Puff! So is that the name of the actual trail or is that what you call it? Too funny either way! I watched the first video and kept thinking the guy was going to fly off the back of the treadmill into the wall. That is my fear. I couldn’t get the second link to work. Enjoy your beach time and active recovery week. I don’t have any Cardio Coach stuff but I think it is wonderful that you are dedicating your active recovery week to him. From what I have read on here, he touched a lot of people.

Pam Great job on LISLIC step and LIC (original style) abs! I haven’t done LISLIC since I first got it. Next time I do it I know I will be struggling on that 4th combo. Ha! Too funny you forgot you did Afterburn and that might have something to do with those buns still burning! That is what happened to DH and I too. As I told Eunice, DH and I were so excited to be going to an Aerosmith concert together and then Steven Tyler had to go and fall off the stage. We were so mad they didn’t reschedule anything either. Have fun shopping for the basement furniture!

Today is such a beautiful day Rolly and I went to the Huff and Puff Trail. That is the actual name for this trail. LOL We did huff and puff a fast pace walk.

Here is a photo of me pressing 65#'s. Man am I Grey and wrinkled, but hey, I'm healthy. I sent this in to Cathe for a success story on STS. Got 15% off of something right away. That was cool.

Janie Good job on disc 35 pylo legs. That is funny with the guy on the treadmill. I can relate to that too. Have fun at the beach, I hope you get good weather when you are there. Nice that you are doing Cardio Coach while you are there. I never did any cardio coach but he sure did touch a lot of people. Wow nice pic of you doing your bench press. Who cares if you have grey hair and a few wrinkles you are healthy and that is what counts. Maybe we will see you in a success story soon.

Julie So nice that you could get some Spring cleaning done. I wanted to do that this weekend too but because I have been feeling so crappy I have only gotten the basic cleaning done. Do you want to come over to my place after you are done and do mine haha :D. I hope your DHs cold gets better soon. It is really fustrating to have no energy at all. I didn't take my Nyquil last night but I was wishing that I had even if it makes me groggy. I was sneezing and coughing all night long.

Well I am still stuffed up which is sooooo annoying. I didn't even try to workout this morning but it was so nice out I did get the jeep vaccuumed out and washed. It felt good to do something.

Have a good day everyone.
