Strength in Numbers

Last night I did 4DS Kickbox Cardio Only! DH took his floating rest day last night. We might be doing Legs tonight instead of tomorrow which would mean I could join in on the Friday CCC fest. We’ll see though.

Janie Great job on disc 13! I love Meso 2 and going to failure. Great job on getting on the treadmill too right after an exhausting upper body workout. Oh boy, Ozzie is a character. Once, I found my slipper in the living room. It hadn’t been chewed on but he apparently thought it should be there and not in the bedroom. Pets make life interesting for sure.

Cheryl Great job on Step Moves! I like that you subbed for a workout you were missing and would enjoy. That helps keep working out fun and engaging. Oh no! Don’t be worried about round 4. It’s just one of those ones that is not as fun as the others and one that you can’t wait until it is over. You can do the Rocky arms at the end of it. That makes me feel better about it!

Eunice Great job on disc 5! Plus your walking on the treadmill for 1:32! Yep, I would count those 2 minutes too! Your day sounded like my Saturdays have been lately. I think that is how this Saturday will be too. Cleaning, cooking, paying bills … it never ends. Well I did almost call you a crazy lady but then I thought, naw, she’s is a super woman! Do any of your girls speak Spanish? It probably isn’t offered in Australia as a second language like in the U.S. I think language is just like fitness, if you don’t use it, you will lose it.

Pam Great job on L&G! Oh how I miss doing Cathe legs and that one is such a good one too! Last night was not a good night’s sleep with dear Ozzie next to me. He is quite the active sleeper and I enjoy peace and stillness. I’ll put doing that special CCC with a round 4s down on my to-do list! I have never used the workout blender either. It seems neat but then I think popping in a DVD is so much easier. Talk about being lazy when it comes to picking out workouts! Enjoy Girl’s Night Out!

Have a great day!

Did the treadmill for 30 min. today. Didn't want to do any other cardio because tomorrow are legs. I know it's going to be hard. I'm ready though.
Looking forward to doing CCC with everyone tomorrow. My abs need it!

Janie Good job on disc 13 chest shoulders and tris and your treadmill workout. Meso 2 and 3 are my favorite ones.

Cheryl, Great job on SM. It's intense enough if you ask me.:rolleyes:lol. Besides higher impact is good for the bones.

Eunice, Great job on disc 5 back and tris and the hour & half of slow cardio plus two min. Mmmmm, those turkey meatballs and chillie. They sound wonderful.

Pam, Yes, I'll be doing the CCC with you all too. Can't wait! It's a long workout and if memory serves me well, hard too. Hope I can keep up after my STS legs tomorrow. We'll see. Great job on Legs & Glutes.

Julie, Great job on last night's 4DS Kickbox Cardio. Hope you get to do CCC. Hope I can too. LOL:D What would we do without our pets?:)

Take care,

Janie

Eunice Good job on disc 5 I did that one today too. Nice that you had the energy to do cardio right afterwards, I probably had the energy just not the time to do it. Do you make Jamie Eason's turkey meatloaf muffins? I have made them several times and one of my staff asked me for the recipe. Enjoy CCC tomorrow.

Pam Doing CCC together tomorrow will be fun. We will let Julie keep her helpful suggestion of only doing nothing but round 4 LOL. I am amazed that you can go for a girls night out and still get up early and workout. It would kill me to do that. Good job on Legs and Glutes. I really like that workout.

Julie Hopefully you can join us for CCC tomorrow. I will do the Rocky arms after round 4, I can't remember what round 4 entails but I will still do the Rocky arms :D Hopefully you get a good nights sleep tonight, what we do for our fur babies.

Janie Good job on the treadmill. Wow it looks like that all of us will be doing CCC tomorrow. My abs need it too and I know they will be talking to me at the end.

This morning was disc 5 back and triceps. I am still working on those pull ups and chin ups. Man but those are hard. I took Friday off from work as we are getting our furnace installed tomorrow. I hope everthing goes well. Enjoy yourr CCC workout tomorrow everyone.

Cheryl

Pam You are right I won't be asking her again, she still wants him to come over to her house, she say so he doesn't forget them:confused: CCC its done and oh boy, oh boy, we can talk about it later. Have fun at the girls night out, last night was so hard to go sleep, I kept dreaming about the same thing all over and over again. Good job doing legs & Glutes that one is a tough one, I always get amaze of how Cathe catch me not going down and right at that moment she say "Low, go lower"

Julie Good job doing 4DS kickboxing cardio only, I love that one and I haven't done it in so long, I can't wait to heard if you did or not CCC, I was thinking about you while doing round 4 and thinking if Pam was going to repeat that one for you? Yes, I know my day was so busy just like yours... So, I'm crazy? huh? Just kidding I know I'm. Australia doesn't offer Spanish like the US but I do speak to my kids spanish they won't answer back spanish but they do understand it and that's what DH told me if you don't use it, you loose it.

Janie Good job doing the treadmill for 30 min, woohoo!!! so you too are going to do CCC, good for you. The turkey meatball are from Jamie Eason and the chili is from the paleo diet.

Cheryl Yayay!!! we were on the same page, good job doing disc 5 back/triceps, I do the pull ups using the chair  still working on them too. I know I have that advantage of having a lot of time on my hands so I might well used making my fat cry. Yes, I'm doing Jamie Eason recipes still, I do love those and after you know the basic you can use any flavor in them, fresh herbs, spicy, and whatever you like you can mix in. Oh yes I did I was wondering which one is harder After Burn or CCC, I started thinking about it right in the first drill but then I run out of breath and I forgot all about it.

Well Pam Cheryl Janie and maybe Julie done, I wish I could do like Cathe dust my hands and say it was easy peasy but it wasn't it was good though , tough one for sure, so girls which one do you guys think it is harder After Burn or CCC??? It was good, but half way through I was thinking, who was of the idea of doing that one today????:p:eek:
Well have a good CCC every one and talk to you guys later.... Tomorrow is my rest day!!!!! :p:D:p:D

Julie Great job on 4DS Kickbox cardio. I do love that one even though I am not a big kickboxing fan. I'm glad you were able to get your Cathe and cardio fix! How are things coming for DH with his new lifestyle? He's probably just too sore, tired and hungry all of the time right now, but hopefully will get past that point soon. Oh boy, I'm so excited that you might have joined in on our CCC fest today! Did you do round 4 5 times???! :p
Oh yea, Cathe works legs and glutes like nobody's business! I didn't realize just how sore my glutes were this morning because my quads and calves were so sore when I got up. After my workout though DH patted my butt in just the right spot. It was a really light pat, but he had to peel me off the ceiling afterwards because it hurt so much. Man! Too bad you can't teach Ozzie to be still when he sleeps! Funny that we are too lazy to use the workout blender but not too lazy to do CCC huh?

Janie Great job on the treadmill! Oh boy, you are planning legs AND CCC today?! You ARE a glutton for punishment! So excited though to heat that you were in! I think my abs will be talking to me tomorrow! Saying it's a hard workout is putting it mildly!

Cheryl OK, how did CCC go? I was thinking about all of you, expecially during round 4! Our GNOs are pretty mild. I was home by 9:45 and in bed by 10! I wanted to be rested up for CCC.
Great job on disc 5. The pull ups and chin ups are killers even though I do a very modified version! I hope everything goes well with the furnace installation today!

Eunice What were you dreaming about over and over? Getting up to do CCC? ;) That's funny, Cathe does always seem to know when to say to go lower or harder or faster or whatever. Then you feel guilty and really push it after that! My hamstrings, glutes and especially calves are killing me today. My calves were already sore from 40/20 and then L&G put them over the top. If I just lightly touch them I want to scream! And we choose to do this to ourselves......
Hahahaha there was nothing easy, peasy about CCC this morning for me! I was thinking I was really in trouble when I was struggling a little in round 4 since that is one of the easier rounds, but I made it all the way through and even did all of the crossover pushups on my toes. By the 12th roll back and spring up I didn't have much spring left though, especially on the 2nd time through! For me, no question CCC is harder than AB. I'm always so happy to be done with round 4 that I forget that round 5 isn't exactly a walk in the park. I'm always wondering if I will actually be able to get my legs up for the high kicks, but somehow they do it.

I can't wait to hear how everyone else did, and HAPPY FRIDAY ladies!

Pam

Last night DH and I did Legs & Back. DH did the first half and then stopped. I did the second half but subbed in various deadlifts for the sets of pullups. I also really heavied up my weight when I could, so I should be feeling something today. Tonight I will give it my best to do CCC. After all, I wouldn’t want to miss out on all that fun!

Janie Great job on the TM! You are one brave chica to even think about doing CCC the same day as Meso 2 legs. I am impressed with your dedication. When is your next venture out to the Beach House?

Cheryl Great job on disc 5! I think if I can ever do a pullup without a chair or my feet on the ground using the turbo tower, I will have a heart attack. I just don’t see myself ever being able to do that. Well hopefully with having Friday off you will be rested up for CCC. Last night Ozzie stayed pretty still (for him anyway) so I got a decent night’s sleep. Hopefully, my legs won’t tire out on me and I can make it through CCC and do the Rocky arms with you at the end of Round 4.

Eunice Great job on CCC! The first to get it done today. I love 4DS Kickbox too! It is so much fun and just flies by. I’m hoping that is how I feel about CCC tonight! Oh that is a tough one to try and decide between AB or CCC which is harder. Well, even if Pam did repeat round 4 for me, I doubt I will be doing the same thing tonight.

Pam Great job on CCC! Haven’t done mine yet but will tonight. I always get so excited too about being done with round 4 and then I remember round 5 isn’t a cake walk. Maybe I’m just too busy doing the Rocky arms to remember! DH is doing pretty good with his new lifestyle. He is taking to eating healthier which was what I thought he would struggle with the most. He is trying to workout 5 days a week, 2 days walking on the treadmill and 3 days the P90X weight work. He only gets halfway through the weight work before he needs to stop but that is pretty good for just starting out. I told him eventually though he should try to push to 45 minutes and then an hour.

Have a great day!

Eunice I have a pull up bar attached to the doorway and it is really hard to do them. I may get 4 good ones in and then I don't have the strength to do anymore. I like Jamie's recipes and I do use other spices in the turkey meatballs. For me I think CCC is harder than AB. I don't know if it is because I don't do CCC often enough but I really struggled through parts of it .

Pam Well I did OK on CCC round 4 got me though - Thanks Julie LOL. I did have to modify the one where you roll back and then spring up to a jump. I think I do need to add this one more to my rotations. That isn't too bad being in bed by 10. The furnace guy is here right now installing it. It is cold in here but I have a space heater going for some warmth.

Julie Good job on Legs and Back. Let us know if you did CCC and how in did in round 4 :D You don't want to miss out on all the fun now would you. You know what I was so pooped when I got through round 4 that I totally forgot about the Rocky Arms  I was just so happy to have finished it. Too funny about Ozzie and how he moves around a lot. At least you got a decent nights sleep.

Well I didn't do too bad on CCC even though I hadn't done it in a while. I think I will need to do this one more often to get through it without too much trouble. Janie, Julie how did you guys do? Well our furnace guy is here so I hope things are going well, there is a lot of noise going on and it is cold so I have plugged in the space heater for a little warmth. I am just glad that it isn't really cold outside.

Cheryl

OMG! Did disc 14 legs and abs today. There was no way in he$$ I could do CCC. Wishful thinking on my part. LOL:confused: However, I walked them off on the treadmill for 30 min. It felt sooooooo good to do that and get the stiffness out of them. You all are awesome to do CCC. Congratulations for a job well done!

Cheryl, Great job on disc 5 back and tris. Good for you for working on pull ups and chin ups. I can't even do one. I've been trying off and on. Guess you have to stick with it in order to do them.

Eunice, I can't compare the two workouts. They are both incredibly challenging for me. Great job on CCC and enjoy your rest day tomorrow. I'm going to get that chilli recipe and make some. It sounds sooooo good.

Pam, Great job on CCC. Nothing easy about CCC is right! I'm proud of you making it through the whole thing and doing push ups on the toes.

Julie, My next venture will be next month since I have to call in for Jury Duty the next two weeks starting Monday. I really wanted to get to the beach house and work. Joey is doing it for me. Bless his heart, he is there now and will return this Sun. Great job on legs and back with DH. Especially pullups.

Cheryl, As you know, I didn't do CCC. Just simply didn't have it in me. Maybe next time. Hope everything goes well with the furnace and warmth will come your way.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Just popping in before I poop out and go to bed. I did get CCC in and it was killer. Those grounded switches are what get me every time in round 4. I did the Rocky arms afterwards but realized the cross body pushups took a lot of my arms too!

Cheryl Great job on CCC! No worries on not doing the Rocky arms after Round 4, it's always just good to be done with that round.

Janie Great job on disc 14! I do not blame you at all for not doing CCC after that. CCC takes a lot out of your legs. Well that stinks you have jury duty the next two weeks. Hopefully you can get out to the beach house soon and see all the work Joey has done to it.

I'll try to post tomorrow but we have a lot of errands and more cooking to do. Plus Jason wants to visit his grandma that is a nursing home. If I don't get a chance, have a great weekend!

Julie great job on legs and back and subbing in heavy weights to get your DOMS! Great job getting CCC in last night too! I hate those grounded switches too, especially since she jumps right into them without a rest at the the first time! The roll back and spring up things are what really get me though. No Rocky Arms for me, I din't think I could get my arms up there at that! I'm glad to hear that your DH is doing well with the healthy eating. That is the most important part, and if he hangs in there with the workouts his stamina will build. It sounds like he is doing really well and I know it helps having you to support and coach him!

Cheryl oh round 4 really got me too. It always does! My last spring up is always more like s crawl/drag myself off the floor!
I bet you are glad to have the new furnace in, i hope you are comfy and warm! Great job on CCC, it was fun doing it together!

Janie great job on disc 14! I can't believe you were even considering doing CCC and STS legs in the same day! That would have earned you super woman status for sure! Great job adding on abs and 30 mints on the treadmill too!

This morning was muscle endurance for me. For some reason it really killed my forearms. Ouch! I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Pam

PamHow are you today? is the sore getting better? I thought it was pretty funny what you did say about your DH patting your butty then he had to peel you off the ceiling because of the pain:D OMG, can you believe that I dreamed that I'm reading out loud but I repeated, repeated, repeated what I was reading, pretty annoying for a dream. I can believe that you still did managed to do CCC being so sore, GOOD JOB Pam!!! I was thinking the same right away in the first round because she has 3 drill instead of 2  So, can you do the 12 rolls back and jump up? I always get to 10 and the last one I just get to stand up, with out the jump I do like those cross over pushups and I'm happy to be able to do those on my toes as well... but I did survive and I'm ready for our next adventure it was fun having someone else to suffer with.

Julie Good job doing Legs & back, nice job going heavy, I hope you got the feeling! "I love the popping in before I poop out" I know those grounded switches are hard. I can picture you doing the Rocky arms and doing some sort of dancing. hehehehe!!!!

Cheryl Wow!!! so impress that that you can do 4 good pull ups:D that's awesome! I cannot do one still:confused: but now that I know you do I might have to try harder to catch you. So 2 votes for CCC being the harder I do think the same. How is the new furnace? I hope you are warm now! OH and GOOD JOB doing CCC we have to do it again.

JanieGood job doing disc 14 and abs you got a good rounded workout there, I love to do legs with abs too. Don't worry for not doing CCC you did great walking in the treadmill for 30 min, CCC is a tough one and after doing legs I don't think you really needed to do it.

Pam You are my hero....... You did still workout after CCC and peeling you off the ceiling for being so sore:eek::confused: I was a chicken this weekend and I didn't workout till today. I'm glad it was only your forearms getting sore today I don't think you have a body part left out now, every where is sore hehe!!

Well,I did chicken out this weekend and I didn't workout Saturday was my rest day and it just got extended to Sunday:eek: the day was perfect for being lazy, DH helped me Saturday to clean the house so Sunday there was not much to do and we lounged around watching movies and doing not much.
Is good though since I'm not taking a rest week I'm going to just move on to week 7, I think? I don't even know what I do have for today.
I forgot to mention that last Friday I went to see Rachel at the swimming festival she did great and got 3 first places she did the short swimming not the 50mt but still she did awesome.
Well enjoy your weekend and talk to you guys latter.

Well we got the furnace in and the guy finished around 3 pm. Because I hadn't had a chance to get groceries yet we didn't have anything to eat for lunch. So after he left I went to McDonald's (yes I was very hungry) and scarfed down a burger and fries. Then went to Costco and our normal grocery store to stock up. It was raining so hard that it was hard to see and there was a bad accident in front of our complex, it had the road closed off going one way. I was really glad to get home and out of the chaos. Because I was thrown off from Friday I didn't feel that great to workout on Saturday so we just did some running around again. It was still raining so hard that it was bouncing off the sidewalks. This is when I am very glad that it doesn't get cold enough to snow because by the amount of rain we get snow would be well over the roof tops . Anyway this morning was yoga and then my brother needed a model as he had a homework assignment for his photography class that he is taking. So I helped him out with that being patient while he took pictures.

Janie Good job on disc 14 and abs and your treadmill. I don't blame you for not doing CCC after all of that. Pull ups and chin ups are really hard I still have a long way to go to get any good at them too.

Julie Good job on CCC. Those grounded switches are hard. You do have a busy weekend ahead of you. Don't work too hard get a chance to unwind.

Pam Good job on muscle endurance. I find those spring up things in CCC really hard. I can't even peel myself off the floor for the last couple, I am just laying there in a puddle of sweat.

Eunice Well I don't know if I would say that I can do 4 "good" pull ups but I can mange them. You need a lazy weekend every once in a while. Congratulations to Rachel in her swimming meet. Three first place finishes is awesome.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

Cheryl

Eunice I am doing much better now. My glutes are not screaming at me and neither are my calves! Of course I did plyo legs this morning so that may all change tomorrow :rolleyes: Yesterday it was my shoulders and forearms, but it wasn't too bad. Wow, that is a really crazy dream! Did you wake up glad to know that it was only a dream?! OMG, i was the same way with CCC, I forgot that there were 3 cardio sets, I was thinking it was only 2 also. I guess that just means it had been too long since we did that one?! I usually do 11 good roll back and jump ups and on number 12 and I am just trying to get myself back to a standing position! Those cross over push ups always kill me too, I have to keep telling myslef I can make it  Now we need to pick a date to all do Intensity together! What do you think??? Oh yes, I had to make sure I got every single part of my body screaming at me! Can't leave anybody out!
Good for you for taking a whole weekend to rest and relax! I think you will be good and ready for week 7. How nice that DH helped you clean the house.
WOW, that is fantastic that Rachel got 3 first places swimming!!! Good for her!

Cheryl Oh boy, I can relate to scarfing down the Mickey D burger and fries. Sometimes you just have to. I would have a VERY hard time lasting until 3 with no lunch! Oh, I hate having to run around when it is raining like that. Yuck! Those are the days that you just want to stay home and relax in front of a fire. Great job on yoga yesterday. Are you going to share your modeling shots with us?!

Janie and Julie I hope you both had a great weekend.

Yesterday was my day off and this morning I did disc 26 plyo legs and nE abs. The plyo legs was tough for me today. Yesterday it was cold and rainy here and we ran around picking out stuff for the basement and then came home and hung out a little and cooked. We actually got some snow last night. It was so crazy because it was 65 and sunny on Saturday and last night it snowed. It didn't stick and is supposed to be 50 today and then back up to 70 on Friday, so I'm looking forward to that! Have a great Monday everyone!

Pam

This weekend was another busy one. Saturday was cleaning and running errands. DH and I did get Shoulders and Arms in. Sunday was cooking and visiting DH’s grandma. I thought for sure since I was so exhausted last night I would sleep like a baby. No such luck. I think I got 4 hours of intermittent sleep at best. Oh and DH and I weigh in on Sunday. DH is so frustrated because he hasn’t lost any weight in 2 weeks. I told him it could be water retention from lifting weights. He decided he doesn’t want to lift weights anymore until he loses some weights. He said he is going to stick to walking on the treadmill and trying to eat right. So I am free to workout to whatever I want now. I’ll still be working out at night since DH thinks that will help keep him motivated if we do it at the same time. I’ve always had this idea that it would be fun to do Cathe’s videos from the beginning. So that is what I am going to do starting tonight.

Pam Great job on Muscle Endurance! That is weird it got your forearms good especially because I always figured you have strong forearms from skiing. Something else must have been going on this time. This weekend I really feared DH was close to calling it all quits. He was so frustrated but I am proud of him for saying he is going to keep the healthier eating and walking. I just hope DH loses weight soon so he doesn’t give up completely. Great job on disc 26 and NE abs! That is some crazy weather you are having. Sounds like how our winter has been. I never know whether I need a heavy coat or a light jacket. Guess I can’t complain too much.

Eunice Sounds like you had a really great weekend! That was great that DH helped you clean so you guys could have a lazy day Sunday. I miss lazy day Sundays. I’m hoping I can have one next weekend. That is awesome that Rachel did so good in swimming. I can’t swim at all unless the doggie paddle has become a new stroke!

Cheryl Sounds like you had a really busy weekend too. Great job on yoga! I wish I had gotten yoga in yesterday. This morning I was thinking that if I had gotten out of bed and tried to do Yoga Relax last night that might have helped me get to sleep. Oh well. Next time. That is so nice that you were a model for your brother’s photography assignment. I hate getting my picture taken so I would only do that for family. I’m glad your furnace is in and you don’t have that to worry about anymore. Oh by the way, 30 more days until the first day of Spring!!!!!

Have a great day!

CherylOh, boy! sounds like a pretty busy day and I don't blame you for having a burger and fries, (you didn't get a shake, do you?) JK! I wonder what kind of accident was that? A lot of rain over there. Well at least it was in a weekend day so you didn't have that much trouble going to work. Good job doing yoga and being a model for your brother.

Pam I'm glad you are feeling better, of course you have to mess with your legs and do plyo legs if not you are not happy! I guess next time I'll think about you while doing the roll backs, saying" Pam can do 12" then you can think about me "Eunice love this cross over push ups" Wow! you just read my mind we have to set a day for Intensity hehehe!! How nice of you for not living anybody out!:p Yes my Rach did awesome.
Good job for doing plyo legs and abs. Another crazy weather week, yay! for Friday though!

JulieWow, another busy weekend, you are cooking more often huh? oh yes, you are cooking for DH:p:p good job! Good job doing shoulders/arms. I know what is that you need to have a good sleep, you need to have a romantic date with DH, away from the dogs where you two can enjoy your selfs:D just a thought! that always help me! when I was reading that DH and YOU got weighted in, I was expecting to read your weight, hehehe! last night I was telling DH that I haven't weight my self in years, he say to me, "more like a month or two but ok, go weight right now" No way, jose. I shared something on your FB wall, that I thought it was good for your DH. So do you have a new rotation in mind? I cannot swim either so maybe you and I can have a race.

Yesterday I did trisets upper body, it was better than I thought I think I have it again one more time this week, Ok let me guys tell you that I was reading something about a way to workout to brake plateaus is a technique call 5X5 you pick a heavy weight that you can lift 5 reps-5 sets it say that it is a good way to improve, so of course I have to try it so I did incline shoulders press on the balance ball 5 reps-5 sets with 25L then 5reps-5 sets biceps curl with 20L and today I have a very nice arms DOMS. I will share the link just in case some of you want to try it.
Have a nice Monday I have to go to take Brandy to the Seymour Pool her school is having the swimming festival as well. (she is not swimming)

You all are doing such a good job with your exercises. Makes me think sometimes how far I've lost my way doing the same exercises for that long. But, I'm coming back, only slowly.
Sunday did disc 15, rested yesterday and did AB for 30 min. with no weight. I modified AB most of the way. Jeesh!

Cheryl, So glad the furnace works now. Yea! Sounds like you should stay in the house for safety reasons until Winter is over. So glad you are OK. Great job on this mornings yoga. Would love to see some of those pictures your brother took of you.

Pam, Hope you got rested yesterday and enjoyed. Great job on this mornings disc 26 plyo legs and abs. From 65 degrees to snow, that is crazy. Enjoy the 70 degree weather on Friday. Will be thinking of you in the sun.

Julie, Weekends are busy for us two, it seems. Glad you got your workouts in. Aw, that's sad your hubby doesn't want to lift weight. Did you tell him that he burns more calories with more muscle? I understand though. One step at a time. I wish him all the luck. Nice to do Cathe from the beginning. Keep us posted on that. How fun!

Eunice, Great job on Trisets upper body. The 5X5 sound interesting and doable. Where's the link to it? Enjoy the festival.

Take care,

Janie

Pam The pictures are quite big but I will see if I can get a thumbnail posted. Good job on disc 26 and NE abs. You have had some crazy weather. We had a bit of snow on Saturday but it turned to rain and didn't stick at all. Julie just reminded me only 30 more days till Spring!!!!!

Julie Sorry that you didn't get a good nights sleep. I know how that can be and it is fustrating. Even though DH hasn't lost any weight has he lost any inches? Sometimes you will get smaller but because muscle weighs more than fat you might not lose any weight. At least he is still trying and not letting that discourage him entirely. That is a neat idea to do Cathe's workouts right from the beginning. So what are you starting with? I don't like getting my picture taken either but these didn't turn out too bad. Thanks for the reminder about Spring. We are getting there.

Eunice No I didn't get a shake, I actually had water to drink. When I get too hungry I don't care what I eat I just need to eat something. There is a curve in the road by our place and people just drive too fast so if someone is trying to make a left hand turn and they don't move fast enough they can get t-boned. I won't leave our complex out that exit because of that. Good job on Trisets upper body, I did that one today too. Share the link on breaking plateaus it would be interesting to read.

Today it was total body trisets upper body. Those planks and tricep kickbacks get me every time. Below is one of the pictures that my brother took yesterday.

Have a great day everyone.

Cheryl

Julie It sounds like you could use a relaxing weekend, hopefully you will get one this weekend! Great job still managing to get shoulders and arms in too! Sorry to hear you are having trouble sleeping, I hope last night was better. Aw, sorry to hear that DH is getting discouraged about the weight loss. Everyone is different though so hopefully he will hang in there until he starts seeing results. My personal results from a couple of years ago were that I saw no change in my weight for at least a couple of weeks, but once it started going down it was like it was melting off. I think sometimes our bodies try to hold onto everything when things change and need to get adjusted to the change. Hopefully by this week he will see some results. Your plan to do Cathe's workouts from the beginning sounds like so much fun, what a great idea!
Yea, I don't know why my forearms were hurting so bad. I must've been doing something wrong with my grip is all I can figure since that has never happened before. This really has been a nutty winter hasn't it! I was so excited when I saw that there are only 30 more days til spring! That is so cool!

Eunice You're right, it's hard to be happy with no DOMS! ;) That is why we torture ourselves the way that we do, right?! OK deal, you think about me during the roll back and spring up and I'll think about you during the cross over push ups. I apologize in advance if I say mean things to you while I am doing them :p OK, you get to pick the day for Intensity!
Great job on TBTUB, I do like that one, I think it has a lot of variety. Hmmm...this 5x5 technique sounds interesting, I'll have to check out the link that you posted.

Janie Hey, don't worry about doing the same exercises for a long time, you should be proud that you were doing something! And you have just been kicking it lately girlfriend! Great job on disc 15 PLUS 30 minutes of AB!
Unfortunately I'm not likely to be out enjoying that sun on Friday since I'll be working, but maybe I can at least sneak out at lunch time!

Cheryl I see you posted one of the pictures, I have only seen the thumbnail so far but it looks nice. Very professional looking!! :D That is so exciting that there are only 30 days til spring. I can hardly wait!
Great job on TBTUB, you and Eunice were thinking alike. Oh yea, those planks with the kickbacks are killers!

This morning for me was KPC, always a fun one. My legs, glutes and abs were all a little sore from yesterday, but not too bad. I hope everyone has a great day!

Last night I did Step N Motion. I noticed the download was available sometime last year and ordered it but never did it. It was an hour long. The first 40 minutes were step and floor aerobics with some leg toning drills and the last 15 minutes were upper body weights and abs. I wouldn’t say this one was fun and I will do it again but it was really fun seeing Cathe so young and her body certainly has changed since that first video. Oh and DH used the treadmill for 50 minutes. He even did some jog/walk intervals because I told him that was a good way to increase the fat burning.

Eunice Great job on TBTUB! I really like the TBT disc. The moves are so unique and really get you to focus on balance which is something I need desperately. Yep, I have been having to cook a lot more lately for DH. This last weekend, I cooked up a huge pork loin and about 4 pounds of chicken breasts and put them in the freezer in individual portions so they are easy to heat up during the week. Hopefully that will help and last awhile. I got better sleep last night. It would be nice to have a romantic night out but we’ll have to see. It might wait until my birthday or our anniversary in April. Oh no, I won’t be posting my weight on here anytime soon. There are some things a lady needs to keep to herself. I’ll check out the facebook thing and see what DH thinks. My rotation is just going to be going through Cathe’s videos from start to finish, starting with her earliest video to the most recent release. I figured it is going to take me 14 weeks to get through. Keep us posted on the 5x5 lifting (I’m checking out the link now).

Janie Great job on disc 15 and AB! Don’t worry about modifying. Some days I have to modify workouts or moves that I have never modified before just because I don’t have the energy or strength that day. Stick with it and soon you’ll be doing the whole thing unmofidied. Yep I told DH about all the benefits of lifting weights and the fact that he wouldn’t want to lose the weight and then have no muscle underneath. I think he really just needs to see that scale move for his motivation. I’m ok with him not lifting now because he said he will do it once he has lost the weight.

Cheryl Great job on TBTUB! Yep, those plank/kickbacks and the soldier pushups are the worst but probably the best as far as balance work goes. That’s the weird thing about DH, he hasn’t lost any inches. In fact he has gained in his waist which is the place he needs to lose. I told him it could be that I am not measuring in the exact same location each time especially since his belly seems to have gone down just from the looks of it and his clothes are fitting a little looser. Weird! I am glad he is not giving up though. Step N Motion was the earliest Cathe I had, next I will be tackling The Classics: Step Max, Step Heat, and Step Jam! You look so lovely in that picture. I really like your hair cut too. I have tried the bob look and my hair doesn’t lay nice like yours at all.

Pam Great job on KPC! Yep that is always a fun one to do! Hopefully it helps work out some of the soreness in your legs. I’m really hoping this weekend will let me relax a little. I’ve got my normal shopping and cleaning on Saturday but only a little more cooking so hopefully not all day. I’m really hoping it is just like you said and DH’s body not adjusting to the change yet. I do try to let him know that slow & steady wins the race but I remember being where he is and getting frustrated. I’m going to share your story with him if that is alright. I think I really messed him up when I said most people lose 5 pounds in the first week alone and then he lost nothing.

Have a great day!
