Strength in Numbers

Cathe put up the rotations today and I started it by doing Tuesday's LIS. Reallly, this was very fast for me. I modified horribly and did 30 min. of it. I hope one day I can almost catch up with them. LOL:D Oh! I'm doing STS/LIS One Month Total Body Recharge.

Cheryl, Great job ono S&G. Burpees and pushups are hard, I have to grant you that. I struggle with them too. Yep those cross overs are challenging. I can't do them without kissing the floor, so I modify and just try to finish with push ups. LOL;)

Janie Good job doing TBS, abs and stretch with Joey. Do you want my address too? I like surprises. Is nice to have them all at once but not for to long  hahaha more then 30 days. JK!!

Eunice, I didn't realize how hot Australia gets. Wow! Enjoy your cinnamon rolls, I love them too. A good plan to workout before the heat of the day. Great job on the legs heavy IMAX rep. 70K. I bet you did say OUCH!

Pam, I really liked The Hunger Games. The books are so different. I do hope they do make the movies in 3 parts. I can't wait to see them. 70 degrees is perfect weather on the beach. How fun! Wow! From 70 to 25 degrees. Brrrrrrrrrrr. That doesn't sound right. Our weather is changing. Great job on IMAX2

Julie, Great job on AB single interval prem. I know what you mean about eating more than usual. You can now get back on track with the new year.

Enjoy!

Janie

Eunice You are right the heat in Australia is way to much for me. However I don't like being cold either. Hopefully it won't last too much longer and it will cool down for you. Were all the stores closed due to the stat holiday? Wow 70K for legs  way to go. Bummer that DH isn't going away with his buddies now. I like your idea that he now has to take you somewhere. Try to stay cool.

Pam Your weather can really go to the extreme. I guess you can never pack away your summer clothes because you may need them. I would love it to be 70 degrees here. We won't see that temperature until May. I am sure that Rusty has found a place to keep warm. I do like the idea of the heated cat houses though. Good job on Imax 2 and those Jeannie hops. I am with you on getting up for work today was a drag.

Julie Good job on AB single interval premix. I find that when I don't eat healthy working out is so much harder. I need to get on track to eat healthier too. Of course when I got into work today someone had left me a chocolate bar for Christmas, and of course I had to eat not just a little but the whole thing .

Janie I am trying to decide which of Cathe's rotations I want to do. I will probably not start it until next week. Good job on LIC. That can be a tough one to learn. I am still trying to get the routines down.

I can tell I am back to work, I couldn't sleep last night. Hopefully I can get up early tomorrow morning and do AB.

Have a good day everyone.

Cheryl

Julie Great job on AB single interval premix. That sounds like a great premix to get in a good sweat when you don't have a lot of time. I will keep that one in mind! I hope that the nice weather over the weekend is an indication of what the winter will be like. I don't want another winter like the last one! These last 2 mornings have been really cold, but now we have a warm up coming so I'm happy about that. You know I don't think I would really even mind going back to work so much if it weren't for having to set the darn alarm!

Janie I'm glad to hear that Cathe put up the rotations. I haven't looked at them yet, how do they look? Oh don't beat yourself up over that LIS, that is a really hard one to get. i think it will take many tries to get through that one successfully! A total body recharge sounds great!
I'm almost halfway through the third Hunger Games book now, they are hard to put down. It will be interesting to see if they are able to do a good job with some of the special effects in the movies. Yes, I wasn't happy about dropping from 70 to 25, but luckily it is supposed to be in the 60's again by the weekend. I am waiting for that!

Cheryl Yes our weather is crazy. You need to be prepared for almost anything at any time. Except usually in the summer once it gets warm it stays that way, so we can put away our winter clothes. You can never put away the summer ones though! I know Rusty has been getting by his whole life so far and probably has places that he goes when it's cold or raining or whatever, but of course now I feel responsible for them and worry about them  Someone told me that they just put a warming pad or electric blanket out for their outdoor friends which isn't a bad idea either!
I was exhausted yesterday by the end of the day. At 4:30 I was ready to go but had to wait for my DH to finish a conference call at 5:15. Sheesh! Crazy. I had no problem sleeping last night though and I could hardly get up again this morning. It doesn't take long to get used to sleeping in a little!

This morning was supposed to be S&G since I'm starting the December rotation over, but since I had just done that one I decided to do a Bosu workout instead. I ordered a Rob Glick Bosu video that came yesterday so it was perfect timing. I loved his workout, it was so much fun! The only problem is that halfway through I twisted my ankle and fell to the ground. Oh man, it hurt so bad that I just layed there for about 5 minutes and felt sick from the pain. After a few minutes though I started moving it around and I got up to put the Bosu away. I was surprised that it wasn't hurting when I walked on it so I started doing the workout just on the floor. Pretty soon I got the Bosu back out and rewound it and picked up where I left off. It didn't hurt at all, but that probably wasn't the smartest thing to do :confused: Then I did abs from Cardio and Weights. Now my ankle is feeling kind've tender and is a little black and blue and swollen, so I'm working at home today and keeping ice on it. Ay yi yi. I was so mad! Anyway, have a great day everyone!

Pam

This morning I did disc 14, legs. During Mondays chest, shoulders, and triceps workout, I didn’t think I would be feeling anything but man, yesterday afternoon I started to get really deep chest and triceps DOMS. It was nice except when I tried to put my coat on and my chest wouldn’t expand because of the DOMS. I have a feeling I will be feeling my legs this afternoon or early tomorrow morning. I already feel it deep in the glute.

Janie Great job on LIChallenge! That one is pretty tricky and does move quite fast. I know it takes extra time but I have found that watching it the night before I plan to do it really helped me get the moves down. As I am watching it, I visualize myself doing it. I’m very choreography challenged so any little thing helps. You’ll get there, just stick with it.

Cheryl What is it about going back to work and not being able to sleep? Monday night I had a terrible night’s sleep. Last night wasn’t too bad but I think it was because I was exhausted from getting up early and working a full day. Hope tonight is better for you. It seems unfair that sleeping and eating patterns can affect our workouts so much. Well I guess the good thing is the chocolate bar is all gone so you won’t be tempted by that anymore.

Pam Oh my! You are one crazy lady to keep going with your ankle the way it was. Well, crazy sounds harsh but I thought it sounded better than committed (which goes along with being crazy!). I probably don’t have a lot of room to talk as I am notorious for going way past the point of comfortable pain before. I hope your ankle recovers fast—icing it and keeping it elevated will help. That would be the best ever to be able to get up to no alarm. I don’t think I would mind work so much if my commute wasn’t as far. Of course, that would help with the getting up extremely early too.

Have a great day!

Joey and I did TBS with abs. I only used a 5 pound dumbell just to warm up. Then later tonight I did 30 min. on the treadmill. I went to one of my daughters house for dinner and when we got back I planed for yoga too, but time ran out.

Pam, The rotations are awesome! Enjoy your remarkable weather this weekend. Great job on the Bosu workout with Rob. That was good timing. Do be careful on the Bosu. It can be tricky as you already know.

Julie, Great job on STS legs, this morning and Monday chest/shoulders/triceps. Love those kind of DOM's don't you? I'll be patient with LIC. whew! I'll watch it the night before next time. I usually do, except I needed to get with the program the same day Cathe posted it. Wish she would post these things earlier.

Cheryl, Oh no! Sleeping problems again! You poor thing.

See later,

Janie

Julie Great job on disc 14. Congrats on those DOMS, other than not being able to put your coat on! Hope your legs and glutes aren't TOO bad today! And no, crazy isn't harsh, it's accurate. I was thinking the same thing later in the day when the swelling and color changing started. It seemed like a good idea at the time though...... Yep, with the alarm and the commute gone I would be happy!

Janie Great job on TBS, abs and 30 minutes on the treadmill! I can't believe you were planning yoga too. It sounds like you are commited, good for you! I'm glad that Cathe got the rotations posted. I saw the comments asking her to post them a few days earlier and I agree that that would be a good thing. The Rob Glick video surprised me a little bit because there were only a couple of reviews on amazon and they were saying how hard it was to follow and that he calls the same thing by different names. I didn't find any of that to be true, I thought it was amazing easy to follow - his cuing was fabulous. You just don't know what the people that are writing those reviews are used to I guess. I'll be ready to do it again once this ankle has recovered.

Cheryl and Eunice I hope you are both doing well.

Well the swelling in my ankle has gone down, but it's still not back to normal size. The color is a little different today too, more red than purple/green. There was no way I was doing the 4DS kickbox that was on my calendar though! I had PUB scheduled for tomorrow so I did that one instead which worked out great. I'll see how the ankle is looking and maybe try PLB tomorrow and then see where to go from there. The good news is that it really isn't hurting, only when I go downstairs. I have it wrapped today and will continue to baby it so that I can get back to that cardio soon! Have a great day everyone!

Pam

This morning despite trying my hardest to stay in bed (yeah right!), I got up and did Yoga Max. My hamstrings are so tight and sore from yesterday’s trisets. My glutes are not too bad as long as I don’t sit back towards my tail bone. Boat pose this morning was really hard though. I made it through though and will be doing disc 15, back and biceps tonight when I get home.

Janie Great job on TBS, abs, and stretching with Joey plus 30 minutes on the treadmill! Two workouts in one day is hard. Not only physically but also mentally, sometimes, I may feel physically able to do two workouts but mentally, I just want to take a break. I’m proud of you for getting that second one in. Don’t worry there is plenty of time on another day to do yoga. I wish Cathe posted them earlier too but then I try to remember that she doesn’t have to post them at all so we are still pretty lucky. I think the new rotations look really good. I’m going to do the 3 month LIS/STS rotation after I finish out this STS round. I think it will be fun and challenging to mix up STS.

Pam Great job on PUB! That’s great that you could sub something in for 4DS Kickbox. PUB seems like a good one to sub in. I love PUB so I would say sub that one in anytime! Hopefully resting your ankle again today will help. The fact that the swelling has gone down is a good sign. I wonder if doing the Turbo Barre Lower Body Blast would work if you don’t’ feel up to PLB? Although all that standing on one leg may not be good either.

Have a great day!

Pam at least you had a good weather for the weekend at the beach our summer is not toooo to bad or I'm getting used to:confused: OMG cinnamon rolls:D we were missing them Stacy was asking for them but every recipe asked for the yeast and I haven't never used so I'm afraid of trying to bake something with that, but this recipe is so simple and so good that I have had bake them twice in this week.
We'll see what we are going to do, I really don't see us doing much I want to take the girls to the beach but tomorrow the weather is not going to be good looks like its going to be raining:mad: I told DH if we don't do anything we just gone have to get up early on Monday and go for a road trip.
Hahaha I was trying to sound out your typo's and I thought I think is the spelling thingy again. Good job doing Imax2 so sad going back to work:(

Julie Great job dong Afterburn premix. I know what you mean with the eating I did the same thing baking, and this time eating. How can resist cinnamon rolls? OH yes big time bummer DH canceling his trip but I believe there was a reason for it. So, I wonder how many containers do you have to pack your lunches??;)hahaha!!

JanieI saw Cathie's new rotation they look good, don't worry about having to modify you did good, there is a Cathlete that is a hardcore girls but all of the step/HiiT workouts she say that she modify all of the them sometimes by using just the toper, so anyways there is not a reason for you to feel bad about it you still getting the benefits of working hard. Good choice One month total body recharge sounds good.
Thanks for the surprise!!!! So sweet of you!!

Cheryl It looks like this weekend and next week the weather is going to be nice 27/25C BUT with rain so we'll see. Tell me about it when DH told me that he had cancelled I was almost MAD but I had to control my self and not to show that I was mad! Yes, Australians take way to long on their holidays that's why they were closed the 2th of Jan.
I hope you get back to normal soon and enjoy your night sleep!

Pam OHHH Pam, :( why in this world you got hurt? I was thinking about you yesterday, how is your ankle doing? I hope is nothing to bad, I remember 2 years ago I when I twisted my ankle it took for ever to heal and I couldn't do much for a while, I was going to the PT. I hope you get the chance to go see a Dr and get some kind of scan. So sorry:(

JulieGood job doing disc 14 legs. That happen to me the day of and a day after sometimes I don't feel anything but the next day is when I get sore, weird:confused: when we did legs last Tuesday (I think I don't even know what day it is) we did core using the hamstring developer to do sit ups those always got me in my lowers abs two days after.

JanieGood job doing TBS and abs with Joey and the 30 min treadmill.

Pam I think it would be wise if you take more than 2 days off from cardio, I know I was thinking about you and how you don't like to miss a workout but you really need to let your ankle hill, mine still hurts once in while but I don't pay attention since my injure was almost 2 years ago.
Take care and good job doing PUB instead.

Julie Good job doing Yoga Relax and enjoy your DOMS :p Have fun doing back/biceps tonight.

Well ladies I know I have being gone for way to long... lets see what had I've done, not much really, the other day we went to the gym and did chest we could't finish all of our workout because Rachel and Stacy come over with us, so DH was paying attention to them giving them a little workout my workout and his workout so I just did bench press and pushups, then we got back home.
Yesterday it was rest day from DH workout so I decided to do Slide & Glide for the first time ever, I LIKED a lot, really good workout finally something that I will be doing a lot from those series once I get back to my normal routine.
Today I have a good deep bum sore:p on the other hand last night I had a horrible headache so I went to bed late, I didn't get up early today to workout and now I'm going to get ready to take Brandy to the station she is going to the city so we might go to the movies with the girls later this afternoon.
well have a good day everyone.:D

I planned on doing STS Total Body, but my Dad wanted to visit. He's 87 soon to be 88. He doesn't know how to get here, so gave my sister an attachment to her email to give dad the directions to get here. My Dad gives no warnings when he wants to visit people. As I thought, he got lost. My worse worry didn't happen, thank God! He was brought up in a different era and that's what they did in those days. Well, couldn't sleep worrying about him (he doesn't read well, and he looses track, he's old). May have had a few hours. Any hoo, He left at 7:00am this morning and waited until 3:30 this afternoon for him to meet At Walmart as directed in my attachment. It should only take 4 hours to get here, maybe a little longer. If I know my Dad, he will be leaving very soon. Wish he would stay longer. We had such a wonderful visit the last time. But since he has transportation, he'll leave when he wants to and I'm sure it will be really really soon. I love him so much, but he wears me completely out. So, I didn't exercise today. My poor Daddy.

Pam, Well, as committed as can be until we need to go to the beach and work. Then will come back home and be committed again.;) Reviews from people are sometimes not very accurate. I'm glad your ankle is better, but man it sounds like it must hurt with all that awful bruising. I'm surprised it doesn't hurt that badly. Keep it safe.

Julie, Great job on Yoga Max. With all the DOM's you have I think that was a good choice. You are right about being lucky that Cathe posts rotations. She does spoil us dosen't she? I think the 3 month rotation looks great. You can't go wrong with either one of them.

Eunice, Bench presses and push ups are all good. Better than nothing. Besides it's good to get the girls into healthy habits. I like S&G, it's fun. Glad you liked it.

Have a good one ladies,

Janie

Julie Great job on getting up and doing Yoga Max! I can't believe what a struggle it has been to get up this week! It sure doesn't take long to get used to a little extra sleep! Hope those hamstrings are doing better today! PUB was a good sub yesterday and PLB worked out great this morning. Turbo Barre might work, but I think the problem would be when you have to get up on your toes. Standing on one foot is fine as long as my foot is flat on the floor, it's the ankle flexion that bothers it a little.

Eunice Welcome back! That cinnamon roll recipe wounds like one that you need to share. I've made them with yeast a few times but overall I'm not terribly confident working with yeast either. I use it in pizza dough pretty successfully, but breads seem to be harder.... Of course I usually just make Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls and there is nothing to that! I hope you get some nice weather to go to the beach, that would be fun. A road trip sounds like fun too! Are your girls off school now?
I know, I am so mad about hurting my ankle. It is doing a lot better, but still has a ways to go. Last night my toes and the top of my foot were swollen, but this morning it was only the ankle so that is good. There is a lot of purple and green starting to show up now too :( The good thing though is that there is almost NO pain at all. Mainly only when I walk downstairs, and today I am walking at my normal pace again. I know I need to take it easy on it for awhile though. I think that 4DS Kickbox is probably not gonna be happening tomorrow! I don't think I need to see a Dr for it unless things change for the worse as it is getting a bit better every day so far. You're right that I don't like to miss a workout, so I may just need to get creative or focus on more weights for awhile.
I love that Rachel and Stacy went to the gym with you. It's great to get them started in those healthy habits and seeing you and DH working out so much is such a great example for them! Oh great job on S&G, it is a fun one isn't it? I'm glad you liked it! I'm happy for your good deep bum soreness :D but not happy about your headache :( I hope it's feeling better now!

Janie Well I'm sorry you didn't get your workout in, but so happy that you are getting to spend some more time with your Dad. I'm sorry that he gave you such a scare though! My mom was getting lost a lot when she moved to NC, so I got her a GPS. For awhile she used it for everywhere she went, even places that she knew really well  Now she just uses it when she needs it. They aren't perfect, but it does help. I'm glad he made it there safely. Now you'll be all worried about him when he leaves too  I know what you mean about them wearing you out! It can be tough, and I just try to imagine how frustrating for them when they are used to being so capable.

Cheryl I hope that your week got better and that you have been able to sleep. I don't have the problem sleeping, my problem is with getting up! Then I've been so tired all day this week. Very frustrating!

This morning I did PLB. It went pretty well over all. I was worried at the beginning because the first exercise is leg press and that bothered my ankle a little. After that though, nothing else was a problem at all. Even the lunges which I thought might be. The only other thing that I couldn't do was sit cross legged for the stretches, that hurt more than the leg presses! I dont' think I'll be trying 4DS kickbox tomorrow. Maybe another upper body workout or my DH suggested that I should try the bike. I think all of that ankle flexion though might be a problem....I have 24 hours to think about it though! I hope everyone has a great Friday!! I wish every work week as only 4 days :D

Pam

Well yesterday after I posted got very interesting. DH’s sister called me and told me she was going to pick him up because he was feeling dizzy, disoriented, weak, and like his face was on fire. She was going to take him to the prompt care since our doctor couldn’t get him in. Within a few minutes of arriving at the prompt care, they sent him by ambulance to the hospital because he was showing stroke symptoms. After a CT scan and MRI, they concluded he did not have a stroke but a severe atypical, complex migraine. They gave him a headache cocktail consisting of three kinds of drugs by IV and then discharged him after he had a liter of IV fluid in him. He has to follow up with a neurologist now. We got home a little after 6. Stubborn (or crazy ) as I am, I decided to do disc 15, back & biceps even though I hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast. I surprisingly made it through it with only having to decrease my weights once. After that, I ate a quick dinner and went to bed about 2 hours later than normal. I ended up waking up about 15 minutes before my alarm went off so I just got up and did Cycle Max. Right now I am kind of running on adrenaline still but I imagine that will wear off sometime around noon and I will be dragging myself around the rest of the day.

Eunice Great job on your bench presses and pushups at the gym. How nice of you and DH to share your gym time with the girls. I bet they had a blast. S&G is so much fun and so different. MMMM! I love cinnamon rolls too. DH and I had some on New Year’s Day. So good! LOL! I have quite a few containers for my lunches. I think I should own part of the Glad company with the amount of Gladware I own. Enjoy the movie if you go!

Janie I’m sorry your dad got lost for so long but I am glad everything turned out ok. Did he end up getting his own apartment like you hoped for? No worries on your workout, family comes first and it is nice that you made sure you had plenty of time to spend with your dad. Hope you get that STS TB in today though as it is a goodie! :D

Pam Great job on PLB! Good point about the going up on your toes part of TB. I conveniently forgot about that little treasure piece. I’m glad that you feel your ankle is getting better every day. That is important to notice. I guess you could always try the bike if you really feel the need for cardio and if it starts to bother you move onto upper body weights and maybe abs. My hamstrings are still a little tight and I am sure the fact that last night’s disc included deadlifts won’t be helping them anytime soon. I may have to foam roll them a little tonight so I can work them again tomorrow. ;)

Have a great day!

Didn't workout today. Dad decided to go home (as I expected) so I took him about 1/3 the way home until I knew he was familiar the rest of the way to get home. He is such an unsettled soul. Next time I hope to have him without his vehicle. He's still on the waiting list for an apartment, and still lives with Joy. I called her and while we were talking, he pulled up the driveway. I know he is safe and sound now. I remember worrying about my little ones when they were young, and it's the same worry with aging parents. I know they use to worry about me too, the same way.

Tomorrow I will be baby sitting my grandson, but Joe can take him while I do exercises. He will stay the night and leave the next day.

Will catch up on the posts now and see you later.

Janie

It has been a few days since I posted. I don't know what it is about going back to work and trying to get a workout in. I see that everyone was having a hard time getting up but at least Julie and Pam you got workouts in, I on the other hand didn't . When I get home I am so pooped too that it is hard to do anyting and the evenings seem to go by so fast, so that is why I didn't get a chance to post. So needless to say I haven't worked out since Monday. I don't think working agrees with me .

Pam Pets are our babies aren't they. I worry about my guys too and I don't know what I would do if one of them lived outside. I would worry about them even more. A warming pad or electric blanket would be a good idea. It doesn't take long to get used to sleeping in and it is sooo hard to get up early. At least you did it and got your workout in. I wish I was that motivated. I used to be but I seem to have lost it. How is your ankle doing? I can't believe that you still did the workout after hurting your ankle. Now that is determination.

Julie Good job on disc 14 and your chest, shoulder and tricep workout. You know you have DOMS when you can't get your coat on. I think we get stressed out about going back to work. I don't know why because it really doesn't stress me out at all, it is just really busy. I think we all need to win the lottery so we can live a life of luxury. Well the chocolate bar is gone but that night my neighbour brought us over more chocolate. Her husband works at a school and got lots of chocolate but they are alergic to it. At least I haven't opened it up yet, I think I have had too much of it and I really don't want any. I am sure that will change though. Scary about what happened to your husband. I hope everything is OK now.

Janie Good job on TBS and abs. I am glad that your Dad got to your place OK. It is funny how the tables turn and we now start worrying about our parents. I am glad that you had a good visit. My parents are leaving on the 17th for Yuma Arizona with their trailer. My dad is 76 and now I worry about them driving so far.

Eunice So since your DH isn't going away with the boys is he going to take you on a nice vacation :D? Glad that you liked Slide and Glide. It is a fun workout isn't it.

Cheryl

Janie sorry that your dad got lost, don't worry about not working out because of your dad, I know for you the most important thing is that he got to you safe and sound, it is kind of scary that his still driving because of so much distracted people driving on the road not paying attention to signs o being patience with old people. I'm glad he still doing it though. Have you seen the pictures I did posted on FB? is my girls working out!:D

Pam I will post the recipe of the cinnamon rolls, easy, peasy, yummy stuff the Pillsbury grand cinnamon rolls were the ones we used to have back at home but australians don't sell that kind of pre made stuff. Well it looks like our plans of going out keep getting delayed or stack  Yes the girls still off school till Feb 3rd. If I was you I would be at the Dr office  you never know what is it hiding, I'm glad that you are feeling better every day but I don't think I like the color of it purple, green showing up, take care you are going to need both of your ankles to do all that jumping.:D on the other hand now you can workout upper body like crazy, abs, lifting heavy is good to.:D Are you driving to work?
I know Rachel and Stacy like to workout, I don't think my mother in law like it very much but they are our girls and we can raise and teach them what ever we like them to know. I can't believe how sore I got after the S&G I wonder how I'm going to feel after today doing AfterBurn:D My headache is gone I needed to drink lots of water. Good job doing PLB I don't know how you can do it:p is weird that the stretches hurt more than the actual workout. I'm with you I think the bike is going to hurt you because of the feet moving and flexing. I hope you feel better soon.

Julie How scary that is that your DH ended up at the hospital, I'm glad it wasn't a stroke migraines can be that nasty? poor DH of yours and poor of you with out eating all day. Yeah I think both your are crazy and stubborn for working out, I'm glad you made it though. Also pro doing Cycle Max this morning I hope you get to come down and relax. Probably you are going to have a good night sleep after all.

Janie Take care. Enjoy having your grandson tomorrow.

Cheryl I think you are right working is not good for you:D hahaha!!!! reminds me Brandy when she was working for the first time ever the second day she say to me "I don't think I like working" I know is diff with you but I thought it was funny, I'm with you Cheryl, I don't think it was such a good idea working out with DH for the summer break, one. He doesn't workout every day like I liked to. 2 sometimes Brandy is not home so we cannot just leave. 3 then I don't know what should I do, because with him I'm doing heavy lifting and stuff then I got lost:mad:(I hope I didn't loose you too with my explanation) Lol. Hide the chocolates we hide them from the girls and from us too. I still hoping for something.

Well like I say, I love working out with DH because he can be very "bad trainer" but I don't like that we get so much stuff that stop us from working out, yesterday we couldn't workout and because I'm waiting on him I didn't do anything either, movie didn't workout because when I left to dropped off Brandy DH let the girls go outside to play so when I got home they didn't wanted to go anywhere:mad: Oh well. So today we didn't go to workout but I did AfterBurn after all this time and I loved it too. Such a hard, fun workout I don't think I did so bad since I'm not even in my old shape:eek: I can't wait to go back to my normal routine.
So, today DH invited me to do BY OUR SELFS to the movies, Brandy was supposed to get back home early, well she missed the train I even left early to pick her up when the train got there with out her OMG:mad: I was that same color... So now I'm still waiting to go pick her up and its going to be to late to go to the movies....
Oh well, we had being watching the Start Track movies one every day, we had the 3,4,5 now I really want to get the 1,2 movie.
Have fun everyone and talk to you latter..:D:p

This morning I did Muscle Max. I was trying to heavy up on my weights so I paused a few times to catch my breath for longer than the normal rests. Now it is on to running errands, getting my oil changed, and cleaning house. Oh the fun never ends!

Janie So glad you dad made it home safe. Right now my parents are still self sufficient but I know there will be a day when our roles are reversed and I will be the one worrying about them. I imagine it is hard emotionally, mentally, and even physically. Now you get to look forward to some time with your grandson.

Cheryl I’m sorry you are having troubles getting back into the groove of things. I’m sure you will get there with time. Wow you are strong to not have opened any of the chocolate. I’m so addicted to chocolate that I don’t think I could ever get tired of eating it. DH’s grandma always gives us a box of chocolates for Christmas. I end up eating all but 2 or 3 of the pieces. And I wonder why I still have a thick layer of fatty insulation on me. Right now we are just waiting on DH to get into the neurologist. He has a family history of migraines so I am guessing he will have to go on long term medication.

Eunice Great job on Afterburn! That one is so good. My favorite out the new series followed by Athletic Training and Cardio Supersets. I think Slide & Glide really works your inner thighs with all the sliding action. That is where I always feel it anyway. Oh I hope you get your movie in. Date night with DH is always a nice thing. Does Brandy have a cell phone that she could have called you to let you know she missed her train? I would have been scared too when she didn’t get off the train. I’m really surprised I was able to do all of my workouts. I think tomorrow will be a rest day although I may try to do Yoga Relax to get some stretching in. I didn’t know migraines could get that bad either but then again my family doesn’t get them. We’ll see what happens when he sees the neurologist.

Have a great weekend!

This morning was Cardio Supersets. Now we are watching the Canuks play the Boston Bruins. These were the two teams playing for the Stanley Cup in June and this is the first time that they have met since then. This is going to be a very long game since it is only in the first period still and there have been so many fights. I guess there was no love lost between these two teams. So weird to have a game start at 10 am for us too. I really should be doing housework now not watching a hockey game .

Eunice It is hard to workout with someone who doesn't have the same committment as you to work out every day. It is also hard if you don't have someone to look after your girls for you so you can go to the gym. Right now I am fine not opening the chocolate but I know it will change. Maybe I should hide them :D. AB is a fun tough workout isn't it.

Julie Good for you to increase your weights for Muscle Max. I need to get the house cleaned too but as you can see from above I am not getting to it very quickly. I am not really strong when it comes to chocolate I think I just over dosed on it during Christmas. I know I will be opening those boxes soon. Migraines are not fun. During the Olympics one of our crew got a really back migraine and had to be driven home. He had to stay in a dark room for several days before he was OK enough to come back. Hopefully your DH can take something so they aren't so severe.

Pam I hope your ankle is doing better.

Jaine Enjoy the day with your grandson.

Cheryl

Julie Wow, what a day you had the other day. That must haveo been so scary for you! I am glad that it was *only* a migraine and not something more serious like a stroke, but wow, I can't imagine a migraine like that. I get very very mild migraines and they are no fun at all so I really feel for your DH. Does he get migraine's often? I can NOT believe that you did disc 15 after all of that! And you were calling me crazy! And then got up and did CM after so little sleep. I hope you were able to get a good night's sleep Friday night and that things settled down for you!
Oh you conveniently forgot about the part in TB where you go up on your toes huh? I think they call that blacking it out :p

Janie Well you were right, your dad sure didn't stay long did he? It sounds like he is restless.... I think you are right that it would be good to have him without his vehicle. It was such a big relief to me when my mom's cottage in Canada sold so that she wasn't driving herself up there all the time. She is so stubborn and I would go to all kinds of trouble make sure she wasn't driving herself, then she would just do it and not tell me  It drove me crazy! I'm so glad that he got there and back with no big issues.
I hope you enjoyed your day babysitting! I'm sorry you lost your post :(

Cheryl Sorry to hear you are having such a hard time getting up, I know it is frustrating :( . I'm with you, I don't think working agrees with me either. :) Oh yes, it's crazy how we worry about pets. I found a little heated outdoor cat house on Overstock.com that I think I am going to order and then will probably also get a warming pad to put in the bed that we already have and then there will be a warm spot for both of them. We'll see how that goes. It is warm now but they are talking about it getting colder near the end of the week so I think I need to get that ordered. My ankle still seems to be improving, but is still swollen and black and blue in some spots.

Eunice Thanks for posting the cinnamon roll recipe, now I need to give it a try! My DH has had many sprained ankles in his day since he was a basketball player so he has lots of experience with them. Mine isn't really even a bad sprain. He is going to show me how to tape my ankle before I try to do a cardio workout to keep it stable. You are right, you can teach your girls whatever you would like and I think that having them liking to workout is a great thing. It can be hard to keep those in-laws from expressing their opinions on raising kids can't it?:confused: How were you feeling after AB? It is a good DOMs producer too
Oh boy, that would be tough always trying to get a time when you and DH can go to the gym together. That is frustrating when you are waiting and waiting and then it doesn't work out :( Hang in there, you'll be back to your normal routine soon. Oh man, I do hope that you and DH get that movie date in. What are the Start Track movies? I haven't heard of those!

Julie Great job on MM and going heavier on your weights. You have just been doing amazing, keep up the great work! The rest of your day doesn't sound like so much fun though

Cheryl Great job on CSS! I have to admit that I don't know who won the hockey game. Did the Canucks win it? So funny that there were so many fights. Those hockey players do get passionate don't they?! I hope you were able to get your housework done after the game :)

Yesterday morning I decided not to push it with cardio and did Total Body Trisets Upper Body split. I got in a great workout and it didn't bother the ankle at all. After that was the memorial service for my friend Jayne. It was a really nice service - she planned the whole thing, even wrote what the pastor said for most of the service. Then they showed a video photo montage that she asked her nephew to put together and her husband and a friend played guitars and sang a song. The worst part for me was the very last song, Amazing Grace. That was the song that they sang at my father's funeral so that made it worse. Her husband Rick, who I've known for about 20 years is doing amazingly well. I couldn't believe he was able to play and sing, but I think he is probably numb right now. Another thing that really amazed me is that Jayne had been working on scarves as Christmas gifts for all of us girls but didn't get them all done, so she left all of the materials and the pattern and asked that my friend Barb and I finish them since we both knit. She collected feathers from around the world and said that they were an indication that angels were always with her, so she asked Rick to have each of her 'angels' pick one of her feathers to remember her by. We didn't get a chance to do that yesterday, but I was pretty amazed at the things she was thinking of. OK sorry, didn't mean to get into such a long explanation.
Believe it or not, this morning I did Yoga Relax! I wasnt' sure I could hang for 52 minutes of Yoga so I did express premix number 2 which was 32 minutes. It was nice, I think I'll go for the whole thing next time! I only checked the clock to see how much longer twice :D I hope everyone has a great day!

Pam

Haven't exercised yet. I will tonight when our little one goes home. What a doll baby he is. I love him sooooooo much! Tomorrow is a yearly check up day with my doctor. Then will go to the beach house I think on Tuesday. Will take very long walks while we are over there. Just a couple of days.

I love Cinnamon rolls! Working Out: It really is hard when the schedules don't add up to getting the workouts in. But thank God we have Cathe. You were smart to do one of her workouts instead of waiting to go to the gym.

Julie, Great job on MM and upping the weight. And also the everyday things we do to keep up with the rest of things in our lives.

Cheryl, Great job on CS. Enjoy the hockey game.

Pam, Great job on Total Body Trisets Upper Body split and todays Yoga Relax (express prem #2). So glad your ankle is much better and it wasn't bothered by the exercises.

That's amazing that your friend thought about her own funeral so other people didn't have to do that. And I love the feathers to remember her by and the significance of her angles that are her friends and family. (tears in my eyes, so stupid). I'm so glad her knitting projects for Christmas could be done because of you and your friend barb. It must have been so hard to do, setting up your own funeral. So many things go through my mind what she must have endured, not only her illness, but the last things on earth she would be doing. I see her as a hero. My goodness. Rick most likely is numb. It will all catch up with him. He now can go through the grieving process and heal as much as possible.

You know, Joey's wife before me had cancer and she did exactly the same thing your friend did. How do they do that? I loved this story, thank you for sharing. It hit close to home.

Janie
