Strength in Numbers

It was one of those weeks . I woke up at midnight Monday night/Tuesday morning and I couldn't fall back to sleep. It was hard getting up for work and I was in bed by 7:30 that night. Still didn't sleep through the night on Tuesday and was again bagged by the time I got home Wednesday. I did manage to stay up until 8 pm though. So Wednesday night I took some Nyquil so I could sleep, boy did I sleep and then I struggled to get up on Thursday morning. I wanted to stay home but we had our Christmas party that night so I had to go. It was fun but I was sure glad to get home and into bed. So there were no workouts for me Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday , I think I must have been fighting off something. Today I did Turbo Barre and all I can say is OUCH. I am feeling it in my bootie right now. I couldn't get going on week 3 of Meso 3 this week and I feel like I have now lost my motivation to finish it. I really would like to start in on the new disks and I might do that starting next week. We will see if I can get it together to finish Meso 3.

I have read most of the posts and everyone is doing well with their workouts. Hopefully I will get back into the swing of thing now and can keep up the all of the posts.

Have a great Saturday everyone.

Cheryl

This morning I was feeling good enough to do a full body workout so I did High Reps. I was thinking about how the first time I did HR, I had equipment scattered everywhere and was always pausing to catch up on the weight changes. This time I didn't do too bad. I only paused twice and one of those times was to get a sip of water. I am pooped though and am glad that after cleaning and running errands today, I will be able to rest the rest of the weekend.

Janie Great job on Afterburn! That is one that you need all your energy and focus for but it is so much fun to do even if you can't keep up with it or look that pretty. I would say that besides Cathe and crew, there probably are not too many of us that look pretty on that one. I'm glad you are getting the roof on before the winter and I am sure you will get the house ready in time for Spring which will be perfect timing.

Cheryl Good job on Turbo Barre! Yes that one is an "ouch" for sure. It is crazy how no weights can hurt so good. I'm sorry you were fighting something off and have no lost motivation to finish meso 3. I think whether you finish m3 out or work with the new series, either way you can't go wrong. Hopefully you are all done with the colds and icky feeling now and are all rested up.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Julie Great job on disc 2. I never do real chin ups/pull ups, I always do one of the modified versions. They are still really hard! Great job on Cycle Max too! I'm glad to hear that Maggie doesn't sleep on top of you, I'm afraid that she would suffocate you if she did!

Janie Great job on AB, that one is a real doozie, isn't it? THe first time I did it I didn't use any cups at all, just tried to get down low to the floor. When I did use the cups I was kind've spastic and couldn't always set them down right - they would often end up on their side  It's nice to hear that your roof is going to be done so quickly!

Cheryl Aw man, sorry to hear you had such a tough week. I was thinking you might want to talk to your Dr about your sleeping problems. It seems like you have had a lot of trouble sleeping lately. Hopefully you'll be able to get caught up this weekend.Great job on TB though. I had DOMs for days after that. It seems like it gets really deep into the muscles.

Julie Great job on HR this morning! That is great that you were able to keep up with all of the weight changes without having to constantly pause. That added extra calorie burn to your workout! Enjoy your weekend!

This morning for me was the full BM2. Love that workout! Tonight is DHs party and I need to get the cakes finished. One of the cakes has 2 peppermint cheesecake layers that had to freeze overnight before I could move on to the next step. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

pam

Julie Good job on HR. I always have a mess around me after that one.
I am feeling Turbo Barre today, I am close to failing the toilet test . My throat still feels funny, not a sore throat but there is something there . I will rest up this weekend and hopefully be over it by the time Monday rolls around.

Pam I am hoping that my sleeping problems are due to me fighting something off. If it lasts through next week then I will see about going to the doctor. I have DOMS after TB. It really does get you deep into the muscles. Good job on BM2, that is one I haven't done in a long time. The peppermint cheescake sounds wonderful. Have fun tonight.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Cheryl

My doctor son Dan is engaged to Janelle. They will be eloping to Italy. Isn't that romantic? Didn't do much all day except went through my crochet patterns. I found a couple of patterns I want to do for the beach house. A carnation like wash cloths and Irish Rose. I don't know yet what I'll be doing with the Irish Rose, but I made one up for the first time and there is a lot of possibilities. (such a pretty pattern) Will be selling a lot of my patterns on E-Bay, because I won't have time to crochet them all, so just cleaning out things. I kept my favorites. Went through half today, will save the other half for another day.

Cheryl, You poor thing! I sure hope that whatever you might be coming down with will go away promptly. Try and get some rest.:( Great job on Turbo Barre. Yes it hurts so good! I love that one. What you've been through sounds like you need just a tad bit of time off to catch up on your rest. Your motivation will come back once you do that. A good time to start in on the new discs.

Julie, Afterburn was a lot of fun. I really like that one. We added up the cost on the roof and it's going to be 5,000 instead of 4,000, but still in the green. We really did get a fantastic deal. I'm not going to complain. Just so happy to get it even if it was a fixer upper. Great job on HR. You earned a restful weekend. Enjoy!

Pam, Great job on Full BM2. It's a good one. Your DH's party sounds awesome with that scrumptious cake. Pictures please. My mouth is watering! Have a great weekend. When I was doing AB I the cups would roll away from me too. lOL:D I'm glad I'm not alone.

Cheryl, Failing the toilet test is a good sign. Good for you. Please take care of yourself and get stronger.

Stay safe everyone,

Janie

PamI'm glad you did have fun at the concert, I'm sure you are going to be fine, you did dance:D:p OMG I love bread and still haven't have any yet since I finish the trainer for 12 weeks and now 2 more weeks... I really want to have some but I'll wait. Good that your DH made it before the wind knocked out the power at the airport. Its weird today it was windy and cold. I will report back at you!! No I didn't did the 2 of the DVD's I only did parts of them. And yes I did checked how many calories I burned during the workout I did burn 650 then I paused then at the end it was the total of 1300, I waited until I hit the 1300 then I stopped the watch.
Good job doing KPC I do not know who is Paul Simon:eek: I need to go and google it sorry I know I'm bad... I'm glad you did had fun though.:D

Julie Good job doing disc 2 back/biceps enjoy those DOMS girl:p Well now you have to keep working to get those chin ups/pull ups better, how do you do them? do you use the tower? or do you have a pull up bar? Good job doing Cycle MAx too.
You are right who wants to clean everyday, but I have to clean the floors every other day, Sam's hair its all over the floor and toys, and more toys:confused: I order my Glucosamine from bodybuilding I don't remember how much they were.

Janie Good job doing After Burn if you had a good sweat then everything its good. I didn't have the dixie cups either when I did trisets I just touched the floor.

Cheryl I hope you are getting over with whatever its trying to get you, not fun at all when all you want its have good sleep at night and then nothing, at least you have some rest when you took Nyquil even when the next day you didn't feel good I don't know if its worth to take Nyquil.
Good job doing Turbo Barre, I hope you feel energized to finish meso 3 maybe you need to take a day or two off, rest then try again.

JulieSo proud of you for doing High Reps, you are doing zoo good. I hope you took your much deserved rest that evening (Australian called Arvo) funny huh!!

Pam Good job doing full BM2, I can't wait to heard all about the party!! That cake sounds pretty dangerous Hahahah!!!

CherylI hope you are feeling better!!

Janie Wow!! you must have lots and lots of patterns!

Saturday was an easy day I loved that the house was clean so all I had to do was make breakfast then workout, I couldn't go to the gym DH was pretty sore so he didn't go and I decided to stay home and do Cathe's workout I had legs so I repeated disc 17 mess 2 I was wondering if I was going to get sore one more time but I didn't and I was using the same weight I used last week and I was making sure I was going downnnn:p hehehe!!!
Today we did some shopping my Stacy's birthday is this coming Tuesday I went to get her a little something tomorrow I'm going to bake some cupcakes for her classroom... OMG I'm going to be 40:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Sorry this is not for excitement.
Have a great weekend!!

I realized that I forgot put down what I did yesterday in my last post. I did Total Boday Tri-sets Upper Body part. Wow that was a good workout but where does she come up with some of those moves . Holding a plank while doing tricep kickbacks :eek:. Those were tough. Today was yoga which I needed and because the mall is doing its Christmas hours now it started at 8:30 instead of 9:30. I wish it started at 8:30 all the time because when I got home I got a lot of stuff done, laundry, baking some running around.

Janie Congratulations on the engagement of your son Dan. When are they eloping to Italy? Sounds like you have a lot of patterns to sell. I got rested up this weekend. It helped having Friday off so it was a three day weekend.

Eunice Good job on Disc 17. Happy Birthday to Stacy and you too. 40 isn't that bad when is your birhtday? You are still a lot younger than me, some days I wish I could go back to 40 :p.

Pam and Julie I hope you had a great weekend.

Happy Monday everyone.

Cheryl

Spent all day putting crochet patterns up for auction in Ebay. I only have 9 items and it took me all day. Jeesh! Oh well. It's all set up now and will be easier to place more auction items in the future.

Eunice, Great job on Sat. disc 17. 40 is nothing, you still are strong, witty, experienced...enjoy your 40's they are awesome. I've been crocheting for many years and have accumulated many patterns. It's time to let go of some of them.

Cheryl, Great job on Total Body Tri-sets, upper body part. I haven't done that one yet, but will soon. Thanks for the heads up. Also great job on yoga. Dan and Janelle are planning a Summer elopement. So glad you were able to rest. Three day weekends are awesome.

Take care everyone,

Janie

This morning I did some steady state spinning for 45 minutes and then did 12 minutes of Ab hits. Tonight will be disc 4 and 165 pushups. Yes I am counting them and I am not sure whether that is a good thing or not yet.

Pam Great job on BM2! Such a good but long workout. Nice one to do when you will be having cheesecake later in the day! Oh, I don’t do regular chin ups/pull ups either. I mean I use a pull up bar that hangs in my doorway but I have those pull up bands that attach to the bar that you stick your foot in. So I do an assisted one. I have thought about doing the modified ones Cathe shows in STS but then I am too lazy to pull out my tower.

Cheryl Great job on TBT Upper! Those moves are so much fun and so creative. I agree that plank/triceps kickback move is tough. I have a hard time not tilting to one side. Great job on yoga! Maybe you can suggest they change the hours to be earlier all the time. You never know, and others may have liked it earlier too. Hope you're passing the toilet test again and that you are sleeping better.

Janie Congratulations on the engagement and the new (well soon to be new) daughter in law. Eloping to Italy sounds very romantic. Sounds like a good thing going through your patterns and getting rid of you don’t want. When my mom and I cleaned out her mother’s house last month, there were a gazillion sweater packages (knitting) that my grandma had bought and never started. We didn’t take any of them and I don’t know what my uncle is going to do with them. He mentioned donating them to a retirement community or nursing home though. I agree, the purchase of the Beach House is worth it being a fixer upper. You will be so happy with it in the end and get so much use out of it I am sure.

Eunice Great job on disc 17! Sorry you didn’t get sore the second time around but it was probably because you just did a week before and didn’t really change the weight. Oh well, still a good workout though. I do have a pull up bar that goes hangs in my doorway but I use an assist band that I put my foot in. It is the largest band and I have two others that are smaller for if I ever get stronger with them. Happy birthday to Stacy and you (when is yours?). 40 is not that old and just think you are probably in the best shape of your life and definitely in better shape than a lot of 40 year olds.

Have a great day!

JanieI used to put stuff for sale on Ebay its a great way to sell if you have the time and patience but once you started with the account, pictures and stuff its easy, kind of. Yeah I know I shouldn't feel bad about turning 40 :confused: but still.

CherylGreat job doing TBTS upper body and yoga, I'm there with ya I don't know from where Cathie gets all this new moves fun anthers pretty hard. I'm glad you are almost done with your shopping, I'm still doing some but mine its most online. We have the same birthday Stacy and I she was my present 7 years ago and she is soooo cute.

JulieGood job doing Steady spinning you are doing great and tonight you have disc4 wow!!! you are a machine!! Shiny machine I love when Cathe call the crew and say "I love shiny shoulders" because of them seating. Its today Dic.6 deep down it feels weird:eek: but happy because I'm in my best like you say.I do pull ups using the chair, when I am at home at the gym I don't do them at all IF DH its NOT there but if his there he would help me. Good job using the elastic band.

I don't know what happen last night I come to post but I think I didn't hit the submit button I hitter the preview and I loss my post.
Oh feel yesterday I started mess 3 I did shoulders/triceps/biceps core and step portion of Step bump jump I think I don't remember the title:eek:I think its because I don't do that one so often.
Then Baked Stacy's cup cakes for her class room and I forgot the icing so I went back to the store at 8pm that is the effects of turning 40:mad::eek::confused:
So today I have legs DH told me to do an special workout where I do 40 moves of everything I don't know yet will see.
Have a great day.

PamAre you still having a:p party?!?! hahaha!!!

Been putting more layers on the cast iron. It's good so far, still can't fry an egg without it sticking, YET. I'm gettin there. ;)

Julie, Great job on the 45 min. of spinning and 12 min. of ab hits. Hoping your Uncle donated the patterns to a retirement community. It's fun for them.

Eunice, Bummer about the post. Frustrating I know. Good for starting Meso 3 and did shoulders, triceps and biceps, core and cardio fro SJ&P. Ah, sorry about forgetting the icing on the cup cakes.:(

Janie

So tonight was Afterburn......YOWZA that workout is named right that is for sure.

Janie It can take time to get things onto Ebay but once you get the system down it does speed up. You will like Total Body Tri-Sets Upper Body. I haven't done the Lower Body yet. Yes three day weekends are great. I wish all of them were three days.

Julie Good job on the steady state spinning and Ab Hits. Enjoy your 165 pushups tonight :p. I doubt they will change the hours but you never know. I can always hint at it.

Eunice Happy 40th Birthday!!!!! I hope you enjoy your day. I hate it when you lose your post. That happens to me too on occasion. Way to go on Shoulders, Triceps, Biceps and core and the step portion of SPJ. Bummer on forgetting the icing for the cupcakes. So did you do the 40 moves of everything?????

Have a great Tuesday everyone.

Cheryl

Here is a photo of my latest throw rug. It's for the kitchen at the beach house. Like the last one, I used scraps of fabric and yarn. In this one (in one area) I used brown and black ribbon with yarn. It's just below the dark brown.

Cheryl, Great job on Afterburn, YOWZA is right! Isn't it cool though? Looking forward to other new workouts. Still have a few to go.

Have a good evening,

Janie

OK, I totally forgot to post yesterday! I realized it during my WO this morning!

Cheryl I hope you are doing better with your sleeping and feeling better too!

Janei Congratulations on your sons engagement. How fun, eloping to Italy! My mom was mad at me when we eloped, but of course we didn't tell anyone ahead of time, just called and said we were married :D You know, I'm not sure if I took any pictures of the birthday cakes, I'll have to see. I haven't uploaded any of the pictures yet, but I will post when I do. The layered peppermint cheesecake was really good. I didn't have a piece of the chocolate, but rumor has it is was good :)

Eunice I don't think I could stay away from bread for that long, your willpower is amazing! So your cleaning burned as many calories as your workout! I think I would rather do the workout though. It's a lot more fun! I think you would probably know Paul Simon if you listened to some of his songs, he's been around forever and has a lot of really good songs.
Nice that you had a nice easy day on Saturday and didn't have to worry about cleaning the house! Good job on disc 17 again and not getting sore either! See 40 isn't so bad at all! Happy Birthday, I hope you had fun and that DH pampered you!

Cheryl Great job on TBTUB, I really like that workout. Yea, those planks with the kickbacks are killer aren't they? I wonder where she comes up with some of that stuff too! I'm with you, I would prefer the earlier start time for yoga all of the time. I like to get my workout out of the way and still get things done!

Julie Great job on your spinning and Abs! Also disc 4 and all of those pushups. That is funny that you are counting them. I like to count the stuff that I hate too so that I can count DOWN to them being over. 165 is a really big number though!

Eunice Oh man, I hate it when I lose posts! Sorry that happened. Great job with shoulders/tris/bis/core! Also the step port of SJP, great job! Uh oh, another return trip to the store.... I hate that! I liked your 40th birthday workout, very creative! hahahaha, no the party is over, but I was still feeling the effects of it on Sunday

Janie Wow, you are working those pans over good. They will be like brand new pans by the time you are finished with them! I LOVE your new rug, I think it is my favorite yet. I really like those colors!

Cheryl Great job on AB, that is a doozie isn't it? I did that one this morning too!

The party was a lot of fun on Saturday, I think everyone had a good time. It was the easiest party I have ever done since I only made the cakes! The layered peppermint cheesecake was really really good. I think that the restaurant staff must've liked them too because I made 2 whole cakes and they didn't give me any to take home, just brought me back my 2 empty plates. They were trying to send leftovers of everything else with me but not the cakes! Sunday was a lazy day, I did Christmas decorating and then went over to a friends for dinner. Yesterday morning was 4DSHIS, it had enough pushups for me and there were nowhere near 165! This morning was AB and my shoulders and chest were kind've sore from yesterday so those burpee straddle pushups killed me. And those dragging planks, I had to drop to my knees for most of the pushups. I hope everyone has a great day!
Pam

Last night I made it through disc 4 and the 165 pushups. I actually didn’t do too bad this time with all those pushups. I was actually able to do the bootcamp and staggered on my toes. Although, I will say I didn’t go very deep into the move with those and I sure didn’t look pretty but I did it. Halfway done with the pushups!!!! Anyway, this morning I did disc 6, legs. I already know I will be having DOMS. Deep, deep glute DOMS!

Eunice Great job on meso 3 shoulders, triceps, and biceps! Plus the step portion from step, jump, pump! Bummer you had to go back to the store so late last night. You are such a good mom to do that though. And I don’t think forgetting things is a product of being 40. I forget things all the time and I am not close to 40, yet. That’s so cute saying Stacy was your present on your birthday. Love it! 40 moves of everything seems pretty intense. Actually I saw your post on FB. Wow! Talk about being a machine! Wait … Make that a strong and hot 40 year old machine!!

Janie How many layers have you put on your cast iron cookware? I thought you only put one layer on. See how little I know about things. What a beautiful rug. I love that you incorporated the ribbon and fabric.

Cheryl Great job on Afterburn! I really love that one even though it is so tough. It just flies by. Cathe said it is a HiiT workout but I much prefer doing Afterburn to one of the original HiiTs. I think it is because it is so much more fun.

Pam Great job on on 4DS HIS and Afterburn! I think I would rather do your number of pushups than mine. I keep telling myself they are good for me when I am huffing and puffing at them. I think counting them makes me feel better when I am done. I looked ahead to next week and 165 is nothing compared to the 182 next week. Oh boy! That’s too funny that the restaurant staff helped you finish off the cakes. I guess that is a good thing so you didn’t have any leftovers to take home.

Have a great day!

Man oh man am I ever feeling the effects of Afterburn . I tried to do the Low Impact Step but my butt and legs were really feeling it. I got through the first segment but that was about it. I think I really should have done yoga instead .

Janie Love your rug especially the colors. I like the earthy tones. Afterburn was a really good workout and like you I still have a few more to try.

Pam TBTUB was a really good workout. I am looking forward to trying the lower body one....I think . I like the earlier start time too but I doubt they will keep it come January. Good job on Afterburn it is a doozie and those burpee straddle push ups . Sounds like the restaurant staff liked your cheesecake too.

Julie Good job on doing the bootcamp and staggered on your toes. Who cares if it looked pretty or not, you did it!!! You can join me in having the deep deep glute DOMS. I am suffering from that right now. I really liked Afterburn too. It did fly by and I know I will get stronger the more I do it.

Have a great Wednesday everyone.

Cheryl

JulieGood job doing all those pushups that's a lot of pushups and good for you that you can do those on your toes, wow! very impressive that even the bootcamp and staggered pushups were on your toes, when I did the bootcamp I put one knee down and the other one go to my elbow that way I feel like I can go all the way down, not the right way to do them but hey something is something. OMG and good job doing legs this morning:p woohoo for the DOMS!!
I really like my new title "strong & hot 40 year old machine" yayay!!:D

Pam We forgive you this time Lol!!!! I thought that the party was still going on. I am actually pretty impressive my self as well because I am a bread lover, love, love, bread but I just haven't have any yesterday we had hamburgers and I wrapped mine on lettuce:confused: mmmm I don't think I know Paul Simon I went to youtube and I didn't recognize any of the songs...
I'm pretty determine to live my 40's like my new 20's there is nothing I will regret about it.:D:p OH DH he was just checking on me checking how I was doing if I was going to be a big baby and cry, cry, kind of getting depressed. So he was calling me from work a few times, nothing special since it was on Monday I baked a poppy seed cake, but Friday I'm going to pick up a chocolate cake that Brandy's friends mom is baking for us, I wanted to have her chocolate cake it was soooooooo good, and also Saturday is DH birthday, so kind one thing deal for all of us, oh also we want to go Saturday out for lunch at a winery place not to far away from here, there is not a decent place here in Seymour so we have to wait for the weekend.
I bet it was a lot of fun your hubby's party, did you took a lot of pictures? I think it was a good idea doing the 40 set workout, just to remind me how good it feels to be 40. There is a song in Spanish about a 40 year old woman and I think that is going to be my favorite song for a while. "La señora de las 4 decades" How funny that the restaurant staff ate your cake I bet it was yummy. Sunday lazy day sound like the perfect day. Good job doing 4DSHIS, and for doing AB.

Cheryl Thanks!!!:D Yes I did a 40 moves workout I was just picking along the moves, I did pushups, squats, shoulder press, crunches, pull ups, biceps curl ups, kick backs, shoulder lateral rises, yeah I did 40 of each one after that I did legs dics 26 from meso 3.

Janie I didn't know either that you have to do the cast iron for so long. Frosting for the cupcake I needed to get it no matter what, it was for Stacy's class room and there was no way I was going to send them like that, anyways she was happy. Oh a really like your new rug I love the colors, good job!!!

CherylWere your butt and legs feeling it? I know some times its harder to workout like that I just have to talk my self in to it like Julie said her DOMS get better after a good tough workout, I'm still waiting and hoping that the same thing happen to me. I haven't done yoga yet. Its sad because I was really waiting to get the new DVD's and I haven't done all of them, just a couple.

Today we had the school interview for Brandy, she got accepted so, again new school, new uniform, new friends, new everything she looks pretty excited about it, we were planing on going back to US next Sep, but school its over on Nov, I think we should wait till then Kenny said that its going to mess up with her school back at home but its going to be messed up anyways if we pulled of early, we will have to see.
When we got back I did chest and back disc 25, now I'm thinking what I'm going to do tomorrow? I don't think I can repeat disc 27? or maybe I can, most likely tomorrow I'm going to do cardio/abs then friday I have to decide what to do disc 27 or a full body workout I was thinking like super sets, or any other oldie full body workout or even sts full body, any suggestions?
I hope you guys had a great day!!!!!!!:D:p:D:p

Today Joey and went to get two mattresses for the beach house. We also picked out out frames. They have drawers under the bedframes. Perfect for a small house. You can put pillow, blankets, or anything in these drawers. YahOO!

The cast iron pans is a challenge for me. I've had them for years, cured/seasoned them and never used them yet. From my past posts it sounds like I used them all the time. I only put them into storage and not had the opportunity to use them yet. When I tried to fry an egg, it sticks. Only one season is necessary as far as I can tell. To me the more the merrier until after 3 seasons I still couldn't fry an egg without sticking. I did more research, found more info and trying that. Testing one pan on the top stove and putting it on low heat. During I'd say about 15 min. I take a paper towel roll it into a ball shape and put palm oil on it then wipe the pan for about 3-5 min. or so with the oil. Then take a fresh paper towel and do the same thing. I do this for a good 15-20. Well, I just stopped to fry an egg. No luck, it still stuck to the pan. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've watched videos and everything. UGH!

Pam, You should be so proud of those cakes. Awesome. Sounds like a fun day on Sun. decorating and visiting with friends. Great job on4DSHIS. LOL "No where near 165"! I remember all those push ups challenges we did. Brings me back some memories. Great job too on this mornings abs. You know you did good on yesterday's workout when you have DOM's. Congrats.

Janie How many layers have you put on your cast iron cookware? I thought you only put one layer on. See how little I know about things. What a beautiful rug. I love that you incorporated the ribbon and fabric.

Julie, Great job on disc 4 and 165 push ups. Wow! Congratulations! And this mornings disc 6 legs. Enjoy your DOM's, you did it! I thought I knew something about cast iron, but the instructions on the internet are all so confusing, otherwise I'd have them seasoned by now. Jeesh! Was always afraid to use them but thought since we have the beach house would be neat to start using them. Oh boy. I need to continue the search.

Cheryl, Congratulations for the DOM's from Affterburn. You did really good. You did good on the LIS, next time will be better. Very proud of you.

Eunice, Busy busy lady you are. Great job on chest and back disc 25. My suggestion is Muscle Max. An oldie but a goody. You are a strong & hot 40 year old machine. High Five!:D

Take care everyone,

Janie

Julie Great job on disc 4 and all 165 pushups!! You are doing great with them. I just hatre the bootcamp and staggered ones. I would rather do my number of pushups than yours too, but you are getting the benefits of all of those pushups too! 182 next week, YIKES! You go girl!

Cheryl Oh yea, I've got those AB DOMs today too. Luckily not as bad as the first time that I did it though. Great job on trying to do LIS anyway! I think you'll enjoy TBTLB too. It's the shorter of the two, right? If I'm remembering correctly the upper body by itself is just under an hour but the lower body is like 36 minutes. Just be ready for more dixie cups!
My DH was joking about the cakes - he said they probably had a dessert special the next day at the restaurant. :D

Eunice Or should I say strong and hot 40 year old machine?! :p Your will power is obviously better than mine! I have skipped the bun on my burgers before or sometimes just do half the bun, but I do love my bread!
Oh I'm surprised that you don't know Paul Simon, hamburgers and I wrapped mine on lettuce:confused: mmmm I don't think I know Paul Simon I went to youtube and I didn't recognize any of the songs...
I'm pretty determine to live my 40's like my new 20's there is nothing I will regret about it.:D:p OH DH he was just checking on me checking how I was what kind of music do you like? That is really sweet that your DH was worried that you might be upset about turning 40 and that he kept calling to check on you. It's nice having the 3 birthdays so close together too. I would like doing just one celebration like that. The chocolate cake sounds goooood! Oh I will have to hear about that lunch at the winery, sounds like my kind of place ;) I didn't take a lot of pictures at the party, but I did at least take some, now I just have to get around to uploading them
I like the sound of your new favorite song. Do they have once for the La senora de las 5 decades? :D
I hope the restaurant staff ate the cakes and enjoyed them. They were so nice and so helpful, it was a great place to have a party.
Congratulations on Brandy getting accepted to the new school, that is great news. I'm sure you guys will figure out what to do when it comes time to come back home.
Great job on disc 25. I don't know why you couldn't repeat disc 27. Why don't you do the total body trisets for your full body workout? if you don't want to do the 90+ minute version you can do the full body express premix. It is still something like 45 minutes and a good workout.

Janie Oh boy, your new beds sound perfect. When will get them and get to have your first sleep? You sure are putting a lot of work into those darn pans, but I have no doubt that you will lick those suckers yet! Oh yes, the pushup challenge. I really need to do that again, I'm afraid I can't do nearly as many now as I could earlier this year. Hmmm...may have to give that a try once these chest DOMs are gone!

This morning was supposed to be 4DSLIS. I'm not really crazy about the step part of that one so I did Cardio Supersets and then did the weights and abs from LIS. That worked out pretty well. I got a really good sweat from CSS, better than I get from LIS. I really didn' need the pushups today tho  Anyway, have a great day everyone!

Pam

This morning I did Kick Max, except I did not do the Leg Conditioning Drills at the end. I have to say that was a really good workout this morning, even though I really wanted to stay in bed with DH and Maggie this morning. It was the perfect intensity with having some leg DOMS (nothing like last week though) and I feel like it got my legs moving and stretched out.

Cheryl Good job getting that far into LIC after Afterburn! If I remember correctly, I had major inner thigh and glute DOMS after my first time doing Afterburn. I think it is the disc action that really gets into those areas. I think Yoga would have been a good choice. I’m really going to try to work more Yoga into my rotations starting in January. I’m not calling it a New Year’s Resolution though because I never keep those. I’m just going to start swapping a cardio morning for yoga since I have to force myself to start doing it. TBT Lower is really good especially for being a short one (36 minutes?). That one will give you back glute DOMS though!

Eunice Great job on disc 25! Oh my, trying to decide between Supersets or STS Total Body is a hard choice! I first got excited when you said Supersets, but then got excited again when you said STS TB. Seems like you have been doing some traditional heavy lifting lately so doing Supersets might shock your body with the superset pattern. Whichever way you go, you can’t go wrong. Oh I don’t think your way of doing the bootcamp pushups with one knee down is a the wrong way. Anyway that keeps you moving works, right?

Janie Love your new beds! DH and I have a bed with drawers underneath because our bedroom is tiny. We keep our sheets and some miscellaneous clothes in the drawers. I love having the extra drawers for that. Well that stinks that you are having so many problems with the cast iron cookware. I’m obviously no help because I know I did mine wrong to begin with. I hope you can get it figure out. Oh boy the pushup challenge. I was trying to forget about that but then again, it did really help me out too.

Pam Great job on CS and 4DSLIS weights and abs! What a combination! Now come one, what would a day without pushups be? Boring, right? JK! I hate those staggered and bootcamp ones too. In fact, I have to apologize to Cathe after I am done for the nasty things I sputter out while I am doing them. I’m with you that Eunice has unbelievable will power. I love my starchy carbs and I could not go long without bread.

Have a great day!
