Strength in Numbers

Pam I haven't see turkeys at the grocery store, I did order one for Dec. anyways if we can find one this week we maybe cook one for Saturday, it is not fun when DH its working past 8:00pm :( You make me laugh with the tush question:p I was sore for a few days, not only the tush but my whole body. OH today I did one of Cathe's old, old workout for the first time and I got it right away and it was so much fun, and the music was awesome I just kept thinking how in this world she made LIC and I can't get the hang of it? Oh well I still love her, just like 4DS I had have that one for years and I can't get the step down, I love the kickboxing, boot camp not to too crazy about it but if it is in a rotation I will do it and enjoy! OMG my headache still here, is just like "knock, knock," when I'm working out puffing and buffing I don't even remember after a while there it is again.:D
Good job doing Afterburn I have to do that one as my cardio one of this days of the week. So funny you didn't notice the sore abs because of your sore tush, awesome!!! Love it!

JulieGreat weekend did you have and I'm sure that Maggie enjoyed too. Why are you measuring so early? Good job doing Slide & Glide I think you ate all of your broccoli if you had a strong day to do all the mountain climbers and pushups!! Of course biceps with the band, I don't blame you that is really hard! Of course you don't even remember the music because it is not memorable. But that's alright, so funny because I don't remember that song of Pink on Athletic training and I did love that one. See, I told you! That's why I hate going to the store, yesterday I went and I forgot the butter too. hahahaha!!

JanieGood job doing TBS, abs and stretches. How that works? curing the iron cookware, I have a grill and a small pan that I like to use to make my pancakes, but I just wash them and put the oil after and that's it. is it right? Good Rolly, he is going to be ready for kisses! It is really good to have my hubby as a personal trainer today he did it again! I loved it! That is very cute rug!! where are you going to used it for? Oh ok, you are going to give it to your husband, nice.

Cheryl Good job doing disc 28 chest and back, today I did chest too. Oh man that weather sounds good for a day to stay home and drink some tea, watching movies, cuddling on the couch:D but not really when you have to go to work:mad: Yea I'm just going to have to keep practicing till I get it.

Today I did chest core and cardio + I took my poor boy out for a walk, he was missing it, he run and chased the emus this time, lots of them. DH went to the gym to help me to do chest, oh he enjoyed torching me  I was doing sets of 8 so I wanted to see how heavy I could go I did 68Lb  not that much but I was dying I did one set of negatives I was going very slow down and DH would pushed the bar down too then he would pull the bar up really fast ouch! that hurts, burn a good burn also I did one set of 4 reps with 20kilos + the bar that is 45 pounds + I was going to use the smith machine for incline bench press, well the thing is that I had a great workout today, with push ups, so I'm pretty sure that tomorrow I'm going to be so soo sore I can feel it
already. + 45 min cardio I did an oldie one today:p Tomorrow I have legs!
Have a great day girls!!!:D

Julie Wow, you really are organized. You have all of your ingredients measured for Thanksgiving and I don't even know what I'm making yet! I'm only in charge of dessert this year so I will figure that out today and get my shopping done. It's my DHs birthday on Thursday too so one of my desserts will definitely be a cake. He won't eat any though - he never eats dessert. Great job on Slide and Glide. That is great that you were feeling so strong. Excellent job on the mountain climbers and push up variations. Those biceps curls with the band are KILLERS. The band just adds a LOT to them. I'm kind've afraid of going to the grocery store today because I know it is going to be a zoo. I stopped on the way home from work last night to pick up some things for dinner and it was crazy. I'm surprised how rude people get too. I thought one lady was going to knock me over she was in such a hurry to get to the bread!

Janie Great job on TBS abs and stretches with Joey! I like the idea of curing the iron cookware at 500 degrees. I will have to try that the next time mine need to be cured.
Your rug is so pretty, did you do that all in one day? Funny that Joey wanted it after seeing it. You are very sweet to let him have it. I agree though that I really like the making part, so I'm always happy to have a project to work on. I just finished my windows for the living room and DH is in the process of putting them up. He told me that I need to make one more for the bedroom window now because when you are sitting on the screened porch all of the transoms that circle it have stained glass now except the bedroom. He keeps talking about how good they look and how much better they make the windows look, so that made me feel good :) I know what you mean about crying with books. Sometimes I get so silly with the crying. There was a hallmark commercial that used to make me cry all the time  Glad you are enjoying your book so much and that it isn't making you cry right now!

Cheryl Great job on Disc 28, especially when you weren't feeling like doing it. Sorry to hear you are having dreary weather. We are having this crazy weather that we get this time of year sometimes. It was 77 degrees yesterday! It always makes me a little nervous when it is so warm this time of year because then a cold front comes through and there are massive storms. There were some tornadoes in the state last week when that happened. I HATE rainy commutes - it takes at least twice as long for me to get to work on rainy days.

Eunice We usually eat dinner at about 8:30 or 9:00 every night, but I don't think I would want to have a big turkey dinner that late. I was wondering if you would be able to find turkeys there or not. Are you going to make one for Christmas? Oh my entire body was sore too, but the tush was definitely the worst. At least today I am able to walk at a normal speed again, unlike the last two days! What was the old Cathe workout that you did? It is strange how sometimes you pick a workout up right away and other times you can struggle and struggle. I think in some ways it depends on how your head it doing that day too! Some days I just have 2 left feet! I love both the kickboxing and the bootcamp in 4DS but I'm not as crazy about the 2 step workouts in that one. They seem different than Cathe's normal style to me. That's funny too because I usually don't like kickboxing and love step but man that kickbox workout just flies by. Of course it probably helps that it is only 30 minutes long  Oh no, I can't believe you still have that nasty headache. Hope it goes away soon! It's nice that you are still able to workout without it impacting you though. Have you done Afterburn yet? You will love it!
Great job on chest core and cardio and getting poor Sam out for a walk. That sounds so funny that he was chasing emus! It's so nice that DH is working out with you these days. It sounds like he might be afraid of letting you go to the gym alone after seeing those other guys there ;):p 68 pounds for chest sounds like a lot to me, you did good!

This morning I did Cardio Supersets premix with the step bonus. Man I was dripping sweat by the time it was over and was really ready for it to be over. All of those low lunges a the end were killing me! I'm kind've a spaz on those crossover crab walk push ups but I get through them. I'm glad no one is watching when I am doing those! Today I am working instead of vacationing again, what the heck is up with that?! I think I will take tomorrow off and get my desserts made a maybe do a little shopping though. I hope everyone has a great day!

Pam

This morning I did Cardio Supersets + Bonus Step Circuit Premix. Adding on the step portion really gets the job done. It is almost like Afterburn with the step portion added on.

Janie Great job on TBS, abs, and stretches. So how do you uncure the cast iron? I am not thrilled with my initial curing job and I think if I had used a higher heat like you are now it would be better. Hope Rollys’ appointment went well. That is good that you are doing everything you can to prevent Alzheimer’s. If I remember correctly, being active like you are is also good for preventing it. That is a pretty rug you made. Can’t wait to see the next one for you.

Cheryl Great job on disc 28! Your weather doesn’t sound good. Please be careful on your commute. I have to be organized with all the cooking I do for Thanksgiving. I have so much to make and am not taking any time off from work so I have to try to get a few things done each night when I get home. It also doesn’t help that my family is getting together at 9 on Thursday so I don’t even have much time Thursday morning to make anything before I have to be at my sister’s house.

Eunice Great job on chest, core, and cardio! Lucky Sam to go for a walk! I bet he had a blast chasing the emus. I am laughing just picturing it. In fact, I am picturing you chasing him chasing the emus! Sounds like you had a fantastic chest workout. Here’s hoping you have good DOMS today from that workout! I have a lot to make for this Thursday and I am not taking any time off of work. So I really have to make sure I have everything ready to put together so each night when I get home from work I can make 2 or 3 things off of my list. I have to make cranberry sauce, stuffing with wild rice and mushrooms, my own vegetarian gravy, chocolate covered peanut butter balls, snickers surprise cookies, pumpkin bread, zucchini brownies, and lemon meringue pie with a shortbread pie crust. I really only have about an hour and a half to cook each night this week so if I didn’t have things measured there is no way I would get it all done by Thursday morning. I’m exhausted just thinking about everything I have to do.

Pam Great job on CSS + step! We were on the same page today. I hate those crab-like walking pushups! I can only imagine what I look like and it ain’t pretty. Plus my room isn’t wide enough to walk four steps over so I only get three in. I end up finishing early although I guess Cathe would tell me to add on another set. Yeah, as I was telling Eunice and Cheryl, I just have so much to make and with not taking time off, I don’t have a lot of time to get it done. Plus I just realized I messed up the peanut butter balls by putting twice the butter (2 cups instead of 1) in them so now I have to remake them. So I guess all my planning doesn’t always help. I always make the desserts for family get togethers. No one else wants to and it is probably because everyone is so picky so I end up making 3-4 different types of desserts. I would be super impressed if my DH didn’t have dessert. He is addicted to sugar so I think it would take a lot for him to not eat dessert.

Have a great day!

Waiting for Rolly's teeth to get cleaned. The vet will let me know when he is done, then I can go pick him up and pamper him.:( Several weeks ago I made Joey this rug but he claimed mine instead. I added a pink border around his (use to be) rug last night and I love it. I think I will add more rings of another light color then a brown and then another light color. After all that, will use the first color in the middle to end with. When I'm done I'll take a picture of it again. Should be big enough after that for my room at the beach house.

Cheryl, Great job on STS Disc 28 chest and back. I'm proud of you for doing it even though you didn't. You are inspiring. I'm so glad I don't have to commute anymore. Be safe.

Eunice, Sounds like your grill pan has been seasoned and every time you put oil or grease on it when you are done, and then use it again, you are continually seasoning (curing) it. Can't wait to give Rolly lots of kisses!:D The rugs I'm making are for the beach house. They are in dire need of them. :) Great job on chest, core and cardio and your walk with Sam. Sounds like burn a good burn is good? Lifting the variety of weight you do is fantastic, you are doing awesome!

Pam, The rug took me about a week while watching TV at night. Would love it if you could take a photo of your windows. I bet they are beautiful! I feel good about my work too when people make compliments.:) Great job on CS premix, you did really good enduring those low lunges.

Julie, Great job on CS + Bonus SC premix. Sounds like a hum dinger of the workouts. Good job! To uncure the cast iron: Use a lot of ventilation while doing this, so turn on the fans. I use my self cleaning oven. It has a knob saying self clean. Automatically it goes for 3 hours of cleaning and one hour of cooling, then it unlocks itself. I don't know how high the temp goes, but I'm thinking pretty high. Then I clean the pans with soap and water and if need be scratch out the rust parts as much as possible. Then I oil it down with a thin layer of avocado oil put it in the oven at 500 degrees and let it cure/season for 3 hours at least/minimum. Then do it over another two or three times to make sure nothing will stick on it when you cook, The result should be like using Teflon, but very safe. Also never use metal on these pans, only plastic or wood. If something is stuck on it (after cooking), just soak in warm sudsy water for a very short 10 min. or less if you can and gently rub it off. Then oil it inside for the next time you use it. It sounds like hard work but it isn't, just takes a long time doing it, but worth it.

If you don't have a self cleaning oven, use oven cleaner on your pans, put the pans in the oven and then clean them in your oven as directed to clean your oven. Hmmmmmm, did that make sense? Just a thought.

Update: Rolly had his teeth cleaned today at the vets and he was drooling badly. They decided to keep him overnight with no charge. Not because he was in danger, but because he would shake his head to get rid of the drool and blood spattered everywhere. They said he could spin the night so your rugs and walls will be safe. (how sad is that?) My poor little guy! I asked the vet what other breed is in Rolly other than chihuahua he told me he is a Min Pin Chi. Part Miniature Pinscher and Chihuahua also known as Chipin. Who knew? I miss him soooooooooooooo sooooooooooooo much! He is going to be OK. All that crap on his teeth is now gone. I'll brush his teeth every night from now on. Joey will fetch him first thing in the morning. Rolly will wake me up.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Pam Today I went to the grocery store to look for a turkey they only have frozen ones and already seasoned, DH say not fun! so we will try to have one for Saturday. For Dec I already order one at the butcher place. I wish I can see you walking at that slow motion :p You are right for some reason I don't feel like this workouts are Cathie's style to many new moves, I haven't see before I wish her new future workouts are more like her style, Imaxy type of workout or Intensity now those I love those kind. I think I'm getting old that's why of my headache:confused: You should take the day off that is just not fair:p Did you see that he commented yesterday on my status? so cute he was so loveble and sweet! but when we were WO he was "one more, one more, yes you can, come on" or he was counting the time "ok time is up next" but I liked that he pushed me hard. Good job doing the Cardio superset premixes with the step I heard you some times I think the same, when its going to be overrrrr!!!:p Have fun making all those yummy deserts.

JulieGood job doing cardio super sets OMG you and Pam did the same workout!! are you guys planning this? good job. Tomorrow for my cardio I'm going to do cardio super sets, :p Sam is so big now that I'm not worried any more so I just let him go and after a while I just start calling him back, he is really good. OMG my chest muscles are supper tight and sore I have trouble doing vacuum and mapping the floors today:confused: or taking my clothes off and on, sore, sore, sore I think my chest its flat and I have a huge 12 pack hehehe!!!!You are so right if you don't have the day off to cook all those deserts then your planning its good, a lot of desserts you are making. I'm exhausted just thinking on you doing all that hard work.

Janie poor Rolly having to spent the night at the vets office, I hope his doing good. I think with all those new additions to your rug its going to look pretty. So I guess my curing its fine. I never heard of that breed before min pin chi I guess you have one of the kind. I know what you mean about missing your puppy when Sam was over at the hospital we were missing him so much.

Today I did legs I went to the gym with hubby, this time he did his workout while I was doing mine but he loves to come to check me out to make sure I'm doing good. So the thing that happened today was that I was doing barbell squat 4 sets of 15 I loaded the barbell it felt pretty good to me but he come and asked me "its that heavy? ok he did pocked me so at the end of the workout he spotted me and I did one set of 12 with 40kilos I think it 80Lb that's my first time doing it this much because at home it is really hard to lift heavy with out the squat rack or spotter. So it is official my whole body hurts today even my forehead, well I guess that's what I was looking for.... Also I did leg press I did 80 pounds I'm working my way up:D
No cardio for me today till tomorrow, I will try to do cardio super set premixes because I'm jealous of you two Pam and Julie.
I keep forgetting this I wanted to tell you guys, remember my very expensive plant that Sam ate? well its growing back up again! yayay!! now I just have to cover up so Sam won't eat it again. something else???? I forgot I knew there was something else that I wanted to tell you I just forgot, I'll let you guys latter.
Have a great day ladies!!

Julie That's funny we did the same workout yesterday! Great job, were you dripping with sweat at the end like I was?! I was also thinking that it seemed more like AB than I had remembered from the first time. Wow, you have a ton of stuff to make for Thanksgiving, I see why you are starting early. I don't like having to do stuff like that in the evenings. It's usually all I can do to make/eat/clean up from dinner. Oh that is terrible that you had to remake your peanut butter balls too :( You are nice to try to please everyone! I am only making 2 desserts since we will only have 11 people for dinner this year. I was going to make 2 pies and a cake but I decided to only make 1 pie so hopefully everyone will be happy with that. My mom is doing a Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday night so I will make the pecan pie for that one. I'm making a dark chocolate pie and a tiramisu cake. I haven't ever made this cake before so hopefully it's good. That will be DHs birthday cake. Even if he doesn't eat any at least we'll do candles and sing. My DH eats dessert once in awhile, but it's pretty rare for him to.

Janie Oh boy, that lucky little Rolly is going to be pampered to death! I like the first rug that you made Joey! That pink border looks really pretty and it sounds like it's going to look even better when you get done! Wow, that is really quick for making that rug! I have never crocheted. I used to knit a lot but haven't done that in years either. I will try to get a picture of the windows today once he is finished putting them up.
Oh my, the drooling and shaking doesn't sound good. How nice of them to keep him overnight at no charge though. Poor guy, is all of that blood normal?? A Chipin huh? That is a great name. We saw a guy in New Orleans who had these 2 little dogs that he said were Chi-wi-wi's. Part chihuahua part weiner! They were adorable!

Eunice Frozen is ok for the turkeys, but already seasoned? What are they seasoned with? I used to always get fresh turkeys but last year my Food network magazine said that it is better to get frozen ones because you don't know how long it's been since the fresh ones were butchered. They said that since the frozen ones are typically frozen right away they are actually fresher  If you are getting yours from the butcher then you are probably getting a nice fresh one though. I would say I was walking like an 80 year old lady, but my mom is 81 and she walks faster than I was walking after TBTrisets! I know that Cathe is trying to mix things up and give us lots of variety but I do like her Imaxy and Intensity type workouts better for step. I want a Body Max 3 and and Imax 4 :D I think that is what she should do next! I started getting bad headaches when I started getting peri-menopausal, but I think you are too young for that. I am taking the day off today. I am going to be baking my desserts and who knows what else! Awwwwww, that was such a sweet comment from DH on your FB status yesterday :D Very cute!
Great job on your leg work at the gym. Wow! Sounds like hubby is really pushing you hard. Are you walking like a 90 year old today? :p Even your forehead hurts huh? That is intense! That is great that your plant is growing back. Dont' let that rascal get it again!
This morning I did the LIS Low Impact Challenge and abs from the original LIC. I did much better with the step this time and pretty much got it all so felt like I got a better workout than last time. I think this will still be one that I only do when it's in the rotation though. Now I'm off to make pie and cake. Have a great day!

Pam

This morning was Athletic Training, which I am thinking of renaming to Sweat Training. Serious sweat going on this morning. And when we got to the second round of pushups after the rear delt drop sets, I literally said “are you kidding me” when Cathe said ok “another round of 16 fast go”. I do love that workout though. Last night I redid the peanut butter balls I messed up Monday night. When I made them Monday, I put twice as much butter in them. Yeah, not tasty at all. So I remade them and they looked much better last night. I also made my cranberry sauce and some wild rice with mushrooms to mix into my stuffing on Thursday.

Janie Aw! Poor Rolly and poor you for missing him. It is so hard when our furbabies are away for even just one night. But at least his teeth cleaning went well and he has sparkly, pearly white teeth now. I love the cute names for his mixed breed. Sounds Asian or Indian or something. I like your rug and can’t wait to see the extra colors you add to it. Thanks for the info on cast iron cookware. I think this might be a Spring project when I can open up the windows for ventilation. Hope Rolly gave you a big good morning kiss!

Eunice Great leg workout! You are really lucky to have DH spot you because it is hard to lift heavy at home without a spotter. Enjoy those leg DOMS but be prepared for them to stick around if you do Cardio Supersets or Afterburn. I’m glad your plant is growing back. That would have been terrible if it wouldn’t and it was really expensive. I don’t have plants at my house. I am not much of a green thumb and they would probably die because I forgot to water them. You are too funny with your forgetting what you wanted to tell us and saying you are old and that is why you get headaches. If you still have your headache, are you making sure you are staying hydrated? I know I get headaches when I get dehydrated so just checking since I know you were saying it was getting hot down there. Oooh! I have had those moments when my chest hurts so bad it hurts and is quite a hassle to get my shirt and bra off. I guess it is a small price to pay for the joy of weight training.

Pam Great job on LIS LIC and abs from LIC-original recipe (I’m dorky I know)! I will probably try LIS LIC again a few more times but am like you and think it will stay on the shelf unless it is in a rotation. Oh boy was I sweating after CSS yesterday. Almost as bad as today after AT. Yummy! Dark Chocolate Pie sounds delightful. I love dark chocolate but not many others in my family do. Pecan pie is really good too. I almost made that instead of lemon meringue pie but it has been so long since I had lemon meringue pie that I really was craving it. The peanut butter balls are for the kids (and my DH). If they had just been something extra, I wouldn’t have worried about remaking them but my 9yo nephew specifically requested them so I had to remake them. I really like baking so I don’t usually mind trying to make something for everyone. The problem is it usually ends up being way too much but then again my family has no problem taking the leftovers so I am not usually stuck with them. Have fun on your day off!

Have a great day!

What a day yesterday. We had a wind storm Monday night which woke me up around 1:30am and I couldn't get back to sleep. My train was 1/2 hour late in the morning because the wind had knocked down a tree on the tracks so they had to wait to have it removed. Then by the time I got to work I had to go to a training course which didn't end until 4:30 an hour after I usually get off work which made me an hour late getting home. I was so beat that I was in bed before 8 pm so I didn't get a workout in or was able to get on the computer. Today was better but it was raining really hard. I managed to do Slide and Glide again tonight. That is fun but tough. They say we are suppose to have another wind storm tonight, oh boy I can hardly wait .

Eunice The weather has been really crappy here. It would have been a good day to stay at home and drink tea and watch movies. Good job on chest, core and cardio. Sounds like Sam had a great time on his walk.

Pam 77 degrees sounds so nice to me right now. We have warmed up to about 45 degrees not quite what you are getting but it is better than the 30 - 32 degrees that we had. Commuting on rainy days is the worst, it doesn't take me longer it is just cold and damp. Way to go on Cardio Supersets premix. Low lunges are a killer.

Julie You and Pam were thinking the same thing, good job on Cardio Supersets premix. You guys get together early for Thanksgiving, 9 is pretty early no wonder why you need to be so organized.

Janie Glad to hear that there was nothing wrong with Rolly's teeth. It is hard when they are not with you. It is nice of Joey to go get him and let him wake you up. I really do wish I didn't commute anymore either it takes up so much time.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving you guys and have fun on Black Friday if you go and do the shopping thing.

Cheryl

Joey and I did TBS, abs and stretches. Continued working on iron cookware. As soon as Rolly saw me he sniffed my hands and ran over to a part of our rug and started rubbing his body on it. Like he missed it more than me. But, I'm so glad he is back home and safe and sound with white teeth. Well, everything is back to normal.

Eunice, Great job on legs. 80 pounds, wow, you go girl. Very impressed! So glad your expensive plant survived Sam. Yea!

Pam, Oh, rolly was pampered all day today.:) I'm having a problem with that rug. I might just rip the whole thing out and do a different style. Don't like it at all. Oh well, that's what happens sometimes when I crochet without a pattern. I thought Rolly was having too much blood to, but when he got home, everything was fine. Whew! I pet the Chi-wi-wi's were adorable.:D Great job on LIS Low Impact Challenge and abs. Good for you improving on the step workout.

Julie, I most likely will unravel the rug. Something is not right with it and that's what I get for doing it without instructions. Can't figure out what went wrong. Will try another style and will have a rug sometime soon. Maybe a week or so. Great job on on AT/ST good names for sure!:D Your entree's sound fantastic for Thanksgiving dinner. Enjoy.

Wanted to add that I think of each of you as special friends (as we are special) and am grateful for all your inspiration and knowledge to keep me going. I couldn't ask for more.

Love you, Happy Thanksgiving.

Janie

This morning I got up at my normal time even though it is Thanksgiving. I did the Extreme Premix from Cycle Max. It was pretty tough but I figured I better do something drastic before the Thanksgiving feast. I just finished making the lemon meringue pie and stuffing. My zucchini brownies are in the oven and after that I am all done and ready to go.

Cheryl I'm so sorry your weather is horrible right now. I hate wind storms. They always make me nervous that our dead tree in our backyard is going to fall on our house or the neighbor's. We need to get it cut down but you know it is just one of those things you keep putting off. Great job on Slide & Glide. That is one truly unique and fun (but effective) workout. I hope the rest of your week starts getting better.

Janie Great job on TBS, abs, and stretching with Joey! Aw! Rolly was probably trying to get his home smell back on him from being at the vet. That is probably why he rolled around the rug. Well I am impressed with any crocheting whether you followed a pattern or not. My grandmother knitted and I was always impressed with the sweaters and afghans she made. I am not crafty so I love see everyone else's creativity. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! You know we love you and appreciate your company on this journey too.

Have a great day!

Julie Great job on Athletic training/sweat training yesterday! That was my Thanksgiving morning workout. I was the same way on that second set of 16 fast pushups. I thought we were done and I was proud of myself for having done all of the pushups on my toes. I didn't make it all the was through those last 16 on my toes though  I'm glad to hear your second set of peanut butter balls turned out well! Yum, wild rice in the stuffing sounds good. I don't usually eat stuffing, but I might eat that!
Hehehehe - I like that, original recipe! I think I was sweating more after CSS the other day than I was after AT this morning. I was feeling stronger in general this morning though. That first set of the leg torture really kills me though. Once through is enough already! Pecan pie is my favorite, especially with chunks of chocolate in it  but this dark chocolate pie is one of the few desserts my DH has eaten in the past so since it's his birthday I figured he might be tempted to eat some. Not that I encourage him to eat sweets of course! I used to love lemon meringue pie, but I have lost my taste for lemon almost completely. It's weird. That was very sweet of you making sure your nephew had his peanut butter balls. I'm sure he will be happy. I'm like you, I enjoy baking, but baked goods usually end up sitting around our house until they get thrown away, so I like to bake for events with a lot of people, especially is someone will take the leftovers.

Cheryl Oh boy, that wind storm sounds scary. It was really windy here yesterday too, but during the day, not at night. It would be much scarier at night. Great job on getting slide and glide in. Hope you had a better night last night!
We are back to normal weather now - the wind yesterday was the cold front coming through. It's not too bad though, mid 60's and nice and sunny. I won't be taking the convertible out today though.
Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes. I plan to avoid shopping on Black Friday. My in-laws aren't all here this year so I don't have to go. Hurray! Of course I would love to have them here, but won't miss the Friday shopping.

Janie Great job on TBS, abs and stretches with Joey! You must really have a LOT of that iron cookware. Wow! I'm so glad to hear that Rolly is home and no more drooling and spewing blood  I think Julie is right, he was trying to get the vet smell off of him, but had to come say hi to you first. When I take one of the cats to the vet the other cat hisses at him when he gets home. They really don't like that smell!
I can't believe you don't like that rug. It looks so beautiful in the pictures. I know how you feel though, if you aren't happy with it then you should start over. Otherwise every time you see it you will be thinking about what you wanted it to look like!
Awwww, so sweet! I agree, I think of each of you as good friends. It's kind've amazing to me that you can think of people that you have never met in person as friends, but it really is true. The internet is an amazing thing isn't it?! I really look forward to reading about what everyone has been doing every day!
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!!!

Julie Wow, what a morning you have had! Great job on the Cycle Max Extreme pre-mix, it sounds scary! And all of that baking too, good for you!

Eunice How are you doing? Are your fingers too sore to type today? ;):p Hope you are doing well!

This morning I did Athletic Training. The first round is a doozy and I can't believe she makes us do all of that leg work twice! After that I made DH his favorite breakfast for his birthday - eggs benedict and now and I just stuffed. Hopefully it will hold us until the big dinner later though. I made my pies and cake yesterday so now I'm just chillin until we head up to my SILs house. This is the big 50 for DH, we are having a party to celebrate with friends next weekend. Janie and Julie, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'll try not to eat too much turkey if you do the same! Eunice and Cheryl, have a great day!

Pam

Pam I don't even know what kind of seasoning they have I'll go latter today to get one for tomorrow I hope they are ok. Hahaha:p you mom could beat you on those slow motion day's.:p I'm with you I would love Cathe to go back to her regular workouts, I know a lot of people were asking for Low Impact workouts, I'm just NOT in complete love with them YET!!! I hope that's not the case peri-menopausal:eek: I'll die OMG you know what I'm using the IUD for the no, no babies and I have being on that thing for almost 7 years and I don't have regular periods maybe one little stain here and other every 4-6 months but just one day kind of thing I wonder if that is bad, I love that I don't have to get it, but I'm kind of thinking once in while. Soooo funny that I kept forgetting to tell you guys about that, and I was checking every day and I would think "darn it I have to tell them before Sam find it again" hahaha.
NO I wasn't walking like and 90 year old DH say that means you can go heavy:confused: Good job doing LIS Low Impact Challenge sounds like a plan only when is in a rotation I'm with you on that one. I hope you had a great time baking all those goodies and eating them too.
I think working out with my honey boney its getting us close together even more, we are very close, we think alike very often we are pretty similar but doing things by our self its being really, really fun.

JulieGood job doing Athletic Training, you should suggest that on Cathe's FB page she would love to hear that. So did you throw away the other peanut butter balls? You were so busy too with all that cooking. I hope you had a fantastic time. You know what I was supposed to do one of the Afterburn or Cardio super sets workouts but that day I did arms, biceps/triceps I couldn't keep up with Cathe with all those arms moves, dumbbells, push ups, I just did a little bit of Cardio supper sets but not the whole thing. I don't have plants either I bought that one a year ago before we got Sam but he liked a little to much and one day Stacy told me that the plant was growing up I that she did put something in there just to play me, but not its real and every day I checked it out and see if it was still there so I could tell you guys all about it. Right when I read your post I went straight to the kitchen to drink water, thanks! I'm so much better now. We love to pay those prices of being sore:D

PamYou did again the same workout as Julie wow! I think you two have a conspiracy Lol:p You two are killing me with all those yummy deserts:p Good job doing Athletic Training, how sweet of you for making your honey his favorite breakfast, wow big 50 I bet you are going to have a great party to celebrate that, are you getting him a special present? I was laughing when I saw what you say to me:p:p How do you know? I did arms yesterday of course my hubby was there I called him at work and say to him "Hi sexy trainer" I think his face lighted up and he asked me if I wanted him to come with me of course, so yeah he pushed me really hard and at the end he got me doing a drop set barbell curl ups OMG you should've see me I was tearing, sweating, but he would say, don't stop keep going, keep going,!! it was awesome my arms sell not normal:p

CherylThat sounds like an awful storm, then the tree on the track OMG I hope you had a good night last night. Good job doing Slide & Glide... How waas the second storm?

JanieGood job doing TBS, abs and stretches! SO cute that Rolly ran to you and rubbed his little body on that rug, I bet he was missing that warm house. I'm glad everything its back to normal.
That is really sweet of you saying that now that you guys mention (or to sore to type:p ) Me too I think of you guys every day and even when some times I'm to busy to post I do love to read what had happen on your every days. I can't wait to meet you guys in person Pam, Julie, Cheryl and of course you too Janie if you can come to the 2013 Cathe Road Trip.

JulieYou are awesome, doing an extreme workout before your feast and all your cooking and baking its done and ready... You are such a girl. Did I hear zucchini brownies? mmmm everything that is made with veggies it must be healthy and that means you need to share that recipe.

Pam Your window its so pretty, that must be a lot of work your hubby its right asking you to do more. Beautiful job!

Yesterday I did arms, I'm soooo loving that right now my husband can come with me to workout he helps me a lot, yesterday he didn't need to come to the gym because he workout every other day but he came just to be my personal trainer:eek: which I loved, I was telling Pam that he make me do a drop set for biceps curl ups it was very intense, and today I did shoulders he helped me to do a drop set again OMG I'd never felt this before I did lateral rises 2 sets of 5's with 17.5 pounds then I got the 11 pounds I did like 20 reps then drop those and I grabbed the 7 pounds with his help I did 30 reps I literally wanted to fall on the floor and stay there, and his so proud of me, he just sat down and watched me sweating, so funny while working out I told him daddy I;m supposed to love you but NOT right now, he just say Oh come on I think you like to be tortured.... So yeah that's my life.
Other than being tortured nothing else just chilling here at home.
I hope you guys had an awesome holiday, if you ate to much desert:confused: well now go workout and burn all those calories or better yet GO shopping.:D

PS. I always double check my spelling and my whatever I'm trying to say but not tonight I hope you guys understand what I want to say.
Bye!!!!

Eunice We are having another turkey dinner tomorrow night and having everyone over for spaghetti and meatballs here tonight so I guess I should get my butt working and doing TRIPLE workouts. The tiramisu cake was good but the chocolate pie was AMAZING! Of course I am a chocoholic so if it's chocolate I'm usually going to like it! I'm with you, I like some of the low impact workouts, but I really prefer tried and true Cathe style. I decided to go back to one of those this morning instead of doing one of the new ones. Well what my doctor did to get rid of my headaches, or at least make them not as bad, was have me stay on the pill all the time. Usually you take it for 3 weeks and one week off and that week is when you have your period. Since I am on it all of the time now I haven't had a period in over 2 years either I love that. She says it's a low dosage so I shouldn't be concerned about being on it all the time.
It sounds like you and DH are really having a good time workout out together. That is nice that you have him as your personal trainer. And he is really pushing you, wow! Great job!
Yes we are having DHs party next weekend since this weekend was going to be busy with Thanksgiving activities. It should be fun. I was surprised that everyone I invited to the party is coming. Usually there is at least someone who can't make it so i told him he must be popular! He got his own special present though! He wanted a range finder for golf so he picked it out and ordered it himself. The only surprise I got for him was a pair of slippers! And he wants new golf clubs for Christmas, which means he will pick them out and buy them himself  I was going to get him a new water ski, but I think he is already spending enough on his golf clubs! That is so cute that your DH is loving being your trainer :D How are your arms feeling today?! 17.5 pounds for lateral raises, yikes!
Don't worry about your spelling, we understand you just fine.
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. I ate way too much but it was so good. I just love turkey with cranberry sauce :D This morning I did Body Max because I felt like I needed a good sweat after that. Now I'm off to the grocery store so I can start cooking once again  Have a great day everyone!

Pam

PamHow many diners are you having this weekend? :p OH I think I'm more jealous that worried for you I know you will burn those calories soon, then maybe you are going to need another round of the cleanse diet hahaha!! would you like some protein drinks?:p Just messing with you!
I love tiramisu but I think I had have it twice not that many times, now the chocolate pie I had never have one I'm to afraid of asking for that recipe I know my girls and DH would love it, but not they are fine. This morning Stacy woke me up asking for pancakes she love some chocolate chips on hers of course I always put some on them:p not for me:eek: I baked cinnamon protein bread and I did kind of like french toast I mixed 3 egg whites, vanilla, cinnamon, I got 2 slices of my bread and pour everything in there then I baked I had mine topped off with berries and greek yogurt.... I know I have no fix:eek: My headache its gone now, the period its gone too but mine for over 6 years:confused: but it feels so good not to have them.
I just love to workout with him, did I ever told you that when I first met him we used to go out with my girls, never alone but one day he invited me out by our selfs and guess where he took me? TO THE GYM!! hahahaha
Sounds like your hubby its having a great time picking out his own presents that's what we usually do, you are to funny saying that he is spending enough on his own presents:p I'm sure you are going to have to spend another good amount of money to have his birthday party, seems like a lot of people its coming, are you cooking for all this guesses? that's going to be a lot of work. OH boy I woke up my self last night I was moving and I was groaning and moaning :D yes my arms still on shock they haven't go back to normal, I wish my car was automatic I had some trouble changing the gear but that's alright:D I think I experienced what Cathe call the outer body feeling it feels awesome;) I'm glad that you had fun I don't blame you I love turkey but more the left overs turkey sandwiches with cranberry sauce, last night DH got home late and we didn't go to the store I don't know if we are going to make it on not, oh well next time I think I'm just going to bake his pumpkin pie tonight he loves that.
Good job doing Body Max I love the old style of Cathie as well yesterday I forgot to mention that I did my cardio too, hardly but I did it I did step moves :D I couldn't use my arms for that extra 20%.. Have fun cooking.
Awww you make me feel much better thanks!!:D Have great day.

Joey and I did TBS, abs and stretching.

Julie, Great job on the premix from CM. Sounds like you had a fantastic meal for Thanksgiving. Hope you enjoyed it, you worked hard for that.;) May I have the recipe for zucchini brownies?

Pam, The more I add to the rug the more it puffs up in the middle. Hmmmmm. Need to do something different. Great job on AT. OMG! I love your windows! Thanks for the photo's. Sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving too.

Eunice, Wish I could go to Cathe's road trips, but they are so expensive. Great job on arms yesterday. It sounds like you and hubby are doing great things to your body. Yea!

Take care,

Janie

I think I am fighting off a cold . I tried to do STS disk 29 Pylo Legs yesterday but I couldn't get through it :(. I was soooo tired that I was in bed before 8 pm. Today I was totally wiped out and was so glad when I left work and could go home. I can feel my throat acting up, I really hope that this doesn't amount to much. Tonight I was in my pjs by 6 pm , I think it will be an early night.

Julie Wow you still got up at your normal time when you didn't have to, I wish I had your energy right now. Good job on the Extreme Premix from Cycle Max. You are really organized. Trees are my big thing in a wind storm too. I understand the putting off on doing things, other stuff gets in the way and you don't think about the other things that you maybe should.

Pam I hate the wind no matter what time of the day it is and I really hate it when it is combined with rain. Today was nice here but we are back to lots of rain tomorrow but at least the wind has died down. Black Friday sounds crazy. I heard of one lady in LA who pepper sprayed other customers to keep them away from what she wanted  that is just crazy. One of my staff went with her mother down to the Seattle area for Black Friday. They are crazy since they leave right after work on Thursday to get to the outlet stores for 9 pm. They shop for a couple of hours and then go to Target for the midnight opening and the malls. She said they wouldn't sleep until they got to their hotel sometime around 10 pm Friday . No thanks I like my sleep too much. I will have to ask her what she got on Monday. Good job on Athletic Training, sounds like you need it with all of your Thanksgiving food. I love your window too.

Eunice The second storm was nothing compared to the first one. Nice that DH is coming to the gym to be your Personal Trainer. Sounds like he is working your arms really good.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Cheryl

So yesterday I did the Bonus Burn Premix from Afterburn. It is basically the entire Afterburn workout followed by a single round of the intervals again. It was super tough but fun. The single intervals went by fast. After that I went shopping and got quite a few Christmas presents out of the way. This morning I did some steady state spinning for about an hour. Now it is laundry and cleaning up from Thanksgiving. The zucchini brownies were really pretty good. Below is the link for the recipe for those interested. The only thing I did different was I used a mix of regular and dark cocoa and I subbed chocolate chips for the walnuts. It came out really, really fudgy!

Zucchini Brownies Recipe - Allrecipes.com

Pam Great job on Athletic Training on Thanksgiving! Great choice to get that metabolism going for the big eating day. I didn’t make it through the last set of pushups on my toes either, I think I had to go to my knees about halfway through. My nephew appreciated the peanut butter balls so I felt good about making sure they were done. I ended up keeping a few dessert items for the next few days but gave most of it away. Love the stained glass window! So pretty. There are a few houses around here that have stained glass windows up and I always think they look so gorgeous.

Eunice Great job on your arm workout with your hubby/personal trainer! That is so great that he pushes you so hard and it is bringing you closer together. No worries on the spell check. I think you could do Afterburn or Cardio Supersets without any weight and it would still be a tough one. I threw the first set of peanut butter balls out because they just would not have tasted right. The zucchini brownies are probably not that healthy. I take my birth control pill everyday and have not had periods for over a year. My doctor says women don’t need to get there period and it is actually pretty healthy for them to not have it. I love not having my period.

Janie Great job on TBS, abs, and stretching with Joey! I hope you figure out how to fix your rug so that it is exactly how you want it. Did you do anything for Thanksgiving? Hope you guys had a good time with whatever you did.

Cheryl I am sorry you are coming down with the cold. Stupid weather! The weather changing always does that to me. Trying to do plyo legs when you are not feeling well had to be hard. Drink plenty of hot tea for that throat and get plenty of sleep. Hope you feel better soon.

Have a good weekend!

Baking a turkey today for Joey. He seems not to have enough. I'll also boil the bones to make broth for soups.

Cheryl, I'm so sorry friend, for not replying to you. It wasn't on purpose. ((hugs)) We had the exact same storm (before Thanksgiving). Woke me up in the middle of the night as well. Scary! I was lucky though, was able to get back to sleep. You poor thing. You are a lot like my Joey, once he wakes up (for all kinds of reasons) he can't go back to sleep either. That's an unusual day you had. Like being late for everything with circumstances you had no control over. Hope you have better days. Great job on Slide and Glide.

Cheryl, Joey and I count ourselves lucky by not shopping on Black Friday. Makes Christmas not what it's about at all. If that's what they are doing, shopping for presents. People seemed crazy with pepper sprays, beatings...! This year will be different for us, no presents except for the children. But something very simple. Oh no, I hope you don't catch a cold! Fingers are crossed for that not to happen. Get some rest.

Julie, Great job for the bonus burn from Afterburn. I Sounds So Hard! Also great job on today's spinning about an hour. Thank you so much for the Zucchini Brownies recipe. I can't wait to try it. I'll most likely do what you did. I took the rug apart to almost where I started and decided to try my pattern again. I loved how it was with the colors. We'll see. Thursday we spent 2 hours in the ferry line and missed to boats. We were hoping instead of driving that would be better. It was windy and raining all the time. Got to the kids Thanksgiving dinner, but had to leave soon after that. We got home about 10 pm. Luckily the weather wasn't as bad during the drive home.

Stay safe and take care,

Janie

I am feeling much better today. I had a really good sleep so that helped. I did STS Disk 30 Shoulders, Biceps and Triceps and I am now at the end of week 2. After that it was clean max and laundry.

Julie Good job on the Afterburn Bonus Burn Premix and your steady state spinning. It must feel nice to get most of the Christmas shopping out of the way. I will have to check out the zucchini brownie recipe.

Janie I love the smell of turkey in the oven. Turkey soup is really good too. We have had crazy weather haven't we. Lucky you to be able to get back to sleep I wish I could have. Black Friday seems like a crazy day, we have boxing day here on December 26th but it isn't anywhere near what Black Friday is. We don't do presents anymore either. Christmas sometimes just feels too commercialized.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Cheryl
