Strength in Numbers

Joey and I did TBS, abs and stretches. Felt like I could have lifted more. Next time I will add a little more weight. Since I had this extra energy decided to to Yoga Max. I really needed it. I know I haven't done most of the other DVD's yet, but that one was calling my name.

Pam, Oh you are going to love love love that tower! I'm glad you bought it. Great job on Tracy Staehle HISM. She is a fantastic instructor. Love her cuing. How lucky you are to get free tickets to the Rockett's.

Julie, Great job on Turbo Barre, good for you to keep your form even when tired.

Eunice, Great job on TBT. That's awesome! (((((hugs for the little downer you had))))). I sometimes get sad and don't know why too. It's a wonder. Hope you are feeling more bubbly tomorrow.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Julie Great job on TB, especially when you were so tired! Too funny that you were afraid of falling asleep if you rested your head on the bar. I was surprised at how fast that workout went by too! And I am STILL feeling it in my outer thighs today! You and Eunice are too funny with your boob talk! If mine deflated there would be nothing left!
I LOVE TS HIS. It has kind've an IMAX feel to it except that she builds the combos that she does before the blasts so before blast number 5 you do combos 1-5 and then the blast. Then after number 5 she starts over so that you aren't doing the combos forever. After I got it I went out and bought 3 more of her dvds because this one was so good, but I don't like the others as well.

Eunice Oh I haven't tried total body trisets yet. I was going to do it the other day but since it is so long I decided to save it for another day. Probably a Saturday will work best for that one. It sounds very interesting though! OK, I'm thinking that we are not right if you wake up feeling like someone kicked your sides and are happy about that ;) Oh yes, you will need to milk that wisdom teeth recovery for all that it's worth! I hear that breakfast in bed and massages really help you heal :p;) I don't know why I haven't picked a rotation yet, just lazy I guess. I looked at Cathe's November rotations but I really don't want to do ONLY the new series for a whole month, but I want to do SOME of them so far now I'm just playing it by ear. I'll get around to it eventually!
The Rockette's are famous dancers that perform at Radio City Music Hall in New York. They are known mainly for their synchronized dancing. Almost anytime you see a long line of women with long legs doing a kickline on TV it is the Rockette's. The Christmas show is really cute, now my DH wants to send his mom and DD to see it next week when his mom comes for Thanksgiving. The reviewing isn't my job, it's just a website where anyone can review places they've been and things that they have done, like the reviews that you see on Amazon.com. It's really nice when you are traveling and looking for a place to go. We have found some really great restaurants that we would've never known about when we travel by using it. I would love to get paid for doing something like that! :)
My cheeks are still talking to me a little bit!
Sorry to hear you were feeling a little down, I hope you are doing better today. It sounds like Cathe helped to give you a little pick me up too! I have days like that sometimes too, I guess it's just all about balance. You can't be miss bubbly all the time!

Janie Great job on TBS, abs and stretches AND adding in Yoga Max. I haven't tried ieither of the Yoga workouts yet. I really should be doing them but Yoga is not really my favorite. I really need it though!
Oh yes, I am loving the tower. I bought it for my 2nd round of STS and it makes a big difference. So nice to have with the Turbo Barre workout too!

This morning I did Hardcore Extreme Interval Circuit. Another toughie that I haven't done in ages. I'm thinking though that after Intesity, Tubo Barre, TS HIS yesterday and then HCE today I need to take it a little easier tomorrow. Any suggestions?? Have a great day everyone!

Pam

This morning I did the Step Express #5 premix from Low Impact Challenge. It was basically the warm up and cardio blast from Low Impact Challenge followed by the bonus step circuit from Cardio Supersets and then a stretch. It was ok for a 40 minute workout. I think Cardio Supsersets burns more calories and is a little more fun but this was ok.

Eunice Great job on TBT in its entirety! That is really impressive to do the whole thing. It is such a long and fast moving workout at least when I did lower and upper separately. I do really like the creative moves in the workout. Sure keeps it interesting. I hope you are feeling back to your bubbly self today. I’ve had those days where I just feel down for no particular reason. Probably just hormones. It’s just one of the many joys of being female—that and deflated boobs!

Janie Great job on TBS, abs, and stretching plus adding on Yoga Max! Don’t worry, those other workouts will call your name when the time is right. Yoga Max is pretty good. I have seen some people on other forums saying it wasn’t good and Cathe seemed rigid and uncomfortable leading a yoga class. I didn’t notice that at all. I did notice she doesn’t have the flexibility that Amanda and Jai have but who does!

Pam Isn’t it crazy how just a band or no band at all can give you DOMS? TB is a good for that! Great job on HCE Interval Circuit! Love those combo workouts with several mixed together. Hmm… for taking it easy you could always do Yoga Max or maybe Slide & Glide. You can always break the Total Body Trisets up. I did the Lower Body one day and the Upper another. The lower body is only 36 minutes but the upper is close to an hour. Or there is the total body express premix that is about 46 minutes long. That’s a bummer when you get workouts and then don’t like them. I think that is why I am sticking so closely to Cathe right now. I feel safe that I will probably like something in her series.

Have a great day!

Well it has been a busy couple of days. I think the last time I posted was on Monday. Since then I have done STS Disk 25 on Tuesday then I previewed some of the new workouts. Wednesday was Low Impact Step, that one will take me a couple of times to get it down. Then today was STS Disk 26 Plyo Legs. It seems the evening just go by so fast that I don`t have a lot of time on the computer.

Eunice Glad that you have your DVDs too. They did take a long time to get here, but there are still some people who still haven`t received them yet. I really don`t understand the duty at all. I am going to ask my cousin who is a customs officer here if he can answer that question for me.

Pam Those dragging planks are a killer along with the burpees into staddle pushups. Who would have thought that sliding disks would make things so much harder. Circle Craft isn`t your usual craft fair. It costs $2,000 to rent a booth there for the four days but people who sell there come from all over the country so it must be profitable for them. Those plie jacks into the sprawl and jabs are hard too. Cathe does have a sense of humour when she calls them "gifts".

Julie Weird that you dropped your towel at the same time during Cycle Max. At least your DH was there to pick it up for you. I am just glad that I have my DVDs now. I don't understand the duty at all. S&G is fun and tougher that you think it will be.

Janie Sounds like things are moving along with your beach house. I can't figure out how they determine who pays duty and who doesn't and how they figure out the price. There has been a $7 difference in some of the amounts people have paid for duty.

Happy Friday everyone.

Cheryl

JanieGood job doing TBS, abs stretch and Yoga, I'm sure that one day the other are going to call your name soon. (((hugs))) back at you, todays I was a little better, no I'm actually a lot better its Friday my favorite day of the week!:D

Pam You should deff give it a go this weekend if you feel like it, if not just take it easy and do one of the yoga ones, I don't know but those 2 haven't call my name yet! Hahaha!! and today too, I was moving very slow this morning when I woke up I was so nice and tender, medium rare! OHHH you make me smile today I have to use your recommendation, breakfast in bed and massage will deff help me to recover:D Ok I think I know what are you talking about the Rockette's dance I bet your DH was really enjoying that show that now he wants to send his mom and you DD to watch the show:p That is very nice to have the review website, I have to remember that when we get back home, I have seen those reviews on Amazon some people really take their time on doing them.
So your cheeks are still talking to you? I hope they are saying nice things to you! So weird yesterday, I forgot to mention that I went to a Candle party yesterday morning, I wasn't feeling the whole thing very bad, I told DH that I didn't order anything because I was to lazy to fill the forms:confused: yes I know that was bad... of course DH told me "hey what ever it work, work"
Good job doing Hard Core Extreme Interval Circuit:eek: OMG I haven't done that one in sooooo long all I can remember is that its a tough one! so yes maybe tonight you'll need the massage:p How are your shoulders?

Julie Good job doing Step Express #5 from LIC, I'm still working my way through all of them, not yet! 40 min not to bad. It is supper fast moving WO, I had to pause a few times, I told DH I was about to quit:confused: but no way I was there and I needed to finish, that is what a Cathlete should do:p You too, making me laugh today with your comment about being sad its part of being woman and the boobs too, so funny!:D

Today I grabbed the broom way to early, and no I didn't flight any where:p I did started sweeping the floors early, vacuuming, dusting the girls room, I'm glad I did it because today its a hot, steamy day and this kind of days the floors take for ever to dry... then by 10:30 I was done and I just sat and relax didn't do much, latter on I was bored and started printing a lot of recipes, a lot I'm talking about 100's I think I'm going to be in trouble because I finished the last paper we had then the printer show that we need ink:p oops DH its going to wonder what was wrong! Any ways the in the LivFit group there was a lady how put all of the recipes in a file and she send us the link to who ever it wanted of course I did so I got that doc with 143 pages of picture with the recipes re ally good job, so when I went to pick up the mail I went to the post office and bought a folder so that's what I'm going to do, I run out of pages so I need more. Also I did bake peanut butte cookies, healthy ones, kind of I only had one the rest are for DH and girls so yeah not much!!
But Monday I'm going to start working out again I'm going back to phase 2:p Have I told you that DH wants to twin me during the summer break? he wants me to do power lifting with him:confused: crazy but I just had to say yes to him!! we'll se for how long!
Well my ladies have an awesome weekend!:D

Great day for a rest day. Got a lot of things done at home doing cleanmax. It still needs a lot of attention and plan on doing more tomorrow after exercises.

Pam, Great job on HEIC. I think you should do a yoga relax just because it's different from what you like and it's relaxing.;) I'm so impressed of the exercises you've done last week. Awesome! I bought a boxing bag and would love for Cathe to do more on the bag workouts, just so I justified getting it. It's really cool, that we are using are Turbo barre, I love that we get more exercise for that piece of equipment. It is now justified.:D I'm babbling.

Julie, I noticed too that Cathe doesn't have the flexibility like some of the others, but hey, that's OK by me too. Love those workouts. Great job on SE#5 premix and a stretch. Thank you for the review.

Cheryl, Great job on your fantastic week of workouts. Good for you. I understand not having a lot of time. You are doing great.

Eunice, Looks like you had a cleanmax day as well. It sure makes me feel better afterwords. I bet you have recipes on everything you can think of. Did you enjoy yourself, I think you did and what better way to spend the day? Good for you, it's called entertainment. You only had one peanut butter cookie? You are strong will powered. Yeah! Working out with hubby is fun. Enjoy him.

Janie

Julie Great job the the step express premix!
I thought TB was good for DOMS all the way around! It was not terrible pain, but it seemed to be really deep down in the muscle. I did look at breaking up total body trisets but thought the upper body only was too short and I wanted a total body workout. It sounds like I should've looked at the premixes, the total body express sounds like it would've been just the ticket.
Oh well, I'll keep that in mind for later.

Cheryl Oh boy, meso 3 and plyo legs. I guess that means you were enjoying those 1/2 turn jumps! Great job on that and disc 25! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought the dragging planks were killers. Julie seems to be a superwoman on those! Wow, I guess those folks HAVE to charge a lot for their stuff at Circle Craft if that have to pay that much for a booth. I don't know what they usually cost, but that sounds like a lot.

Eunice The yoga workouts haven't been calling my name yet either. I'm not sure if they know my name :p I always feel so stiff and awkward when I try to do yoga, which is all the reason why I SHOULD be doing those, but I have a hard time getting excited about yoga.
You can use Yelp in Australia too, it is worldwide. I think my DH used it to find places to go while he was in Sydney too. Oh yes, my cheeks were saying nice things. They were happy to have gotten a nice workout. They aren't talking to me anymore so guess I will have to do that one again! You didnt buy any candles because you were too lazy too fill out the order form? OK, that is pretty funny. I think you need a rest!!! My shoulders are feeling ok, but the stretches felt really good this morning!
I'm so glad to hear that you weren't flying on that broom! Good job getting all of that cleaning done so early! I wish it was hot and steamy here! We just had a cold front come through and there was frost on the ground this morning  It was 75 degrees 2 days ago! It sounds like you will be doing a lot of cooking and baking with all of those new recipes! I saw the pictures that you posted on FB, they look good! Too funny that you used all of the paper and ink!

Janie Good job on cleanmax. That is the problem with having 2 houses - now you have 2 houses to keep clean. You're right, our tower is purchase is now justified :p I haven't been able to justify a bag yet, although I think it would be a lot of fun to have one. A great way to release stress and frustration if nothing else!
I would love to be half as flexible as Cathe, even if she isn't as flexible as some of the others, she is still WAY more flexible than I am!

This morning for my easier day I decided to do Step Moves. It's a fun little workout and not too long or tough. Then I did the abs from Cardio and Weights. Last night was Girls Night out and even though I was still home by 9:00, I was just ready for a lighter day this week. I'm so happy it's Friday! I was planning to take next week off since we already have Thursday and Friday off for the holiday, but I have too much work to do so I will work Monday and probably Tuesday. Have a great weekend everyone!

Pam

This morning I did the Double Trouble premix in Afterburn. It is each the first set of each interval 1-10 followed by the second set of each interval 1-10. So the same things as the original workout just scrambled up a bit. I liked it this way as it felt like you had more of a break in between the dreaded moves like burpees with straddle pushups and mountain and spiderman climbers.

Cheryl Great job for getting all those workouts in, disc 25, Low Impact Step, and disc 26. Was the Low Impact Step the one from the new series? No worries on not posting. We appreciate anytime you can stop in and chat with us. Now that it is getting wintry, it is harder for me to want to do anything put eat and sleep when I get home from work. Pretty soon I will be forgetting what the sun looks like. Have I mentioned I hate winter? :(

Eunice Wow you had quite the day. I bet it feels great to get so much done. I have a computer program I type all of my recipes into but I have gotten really lazy and not entered the ones I have clipped out for so long that I have a pile to go through. I keep telling myself I need to just sit down and do a few each night but that never happens. So your DH’s shoulder must be healing really well if he is talking about power lifting. It is nice that he likes working out with you.

Janie Great job on Cleanmax! That one is never ending especially as Pam mentioned now that you have two houses. Glad you got a lot done though. You’re too funny…babbling! I feel like I babble the most out of the group.

Pam Great job on SM! I had forgotten about that one when you asked for ideas. It is a good one not too easy but not too tough and pretty fun. Plus you added on abs. You are so good about doing that. I always think about how I need to and then never do it. I’m kind of that way with yoga and extra stretching too. I know I need to do it but never do. To my defense I am not superwoman on the dragging planks (or anything else for that matter). I just find I would much rather do the dragging planks than spiderman climbers. I do huff and puff during the planks, I just don’t yell as many nasty comments at the TV as I do during spiderman climbers. ;) How can Cathe talk during those?

Have a great day!

Well I can't believe it but we had snow last night :(. It wasn't much and it was gone by the time I got home from work.......but it snowed . All the ski hills around here are opening up this weekend about 1 - 2 weeks early. I hope this isn't an indication on what we have to look forward to this winter. Anyway I was pooped when I got home from work so I did yoga relax. That was a good one for me today.

Eunice You had a really productive morning. I wish I could get all the housework done by 10:30 am. All that printing went to a good cause right ;). Just think of everything you can now make for your family.

Janie Enjoy your rest day and cleanmax. I have to do cleanmax tomorrow.

Pam Oh yea meso 3 and plyo legs does mean those 1/2 turn jumps. She had us do them in disk 25. I am with you on those dragging planks being a killer. Circle Craft is not your typical craft fair and the cost of a booth is expensive but a lot of things here so expensive it is just crazy. Good job on Step Moves and the abs from Cardio and Weights. You guys are lucky to get a nice short week next week.

Julie Way to go on Afterburn Double Trouble. I just previewed that one last night and looks like it will be a killer. The low impact step was from the new series. I know what you mean about only wanting to sleep and eat when you get home from work, but I hate to be the one to tell you this though........it isn't Winter yet........we're still in Fall.........:D. We can start doing a Spring countdown or is it too early for that yet.

Have a great Saturday everyone.

Cheryl

This morning I did 50 minutes of steady state spinning and then I did the Total Body Scramble Express premix from Total Body Trisets. It was a really good add on to my spinning. Now it is on to Cleanmax and Shoppingmax (well grocery shopping not fun shopping :p).

Cheryl Good job on getting Yoga Relax in when you were tired. That is the one I have not tried yet. I want to try it but so far just haven't gotten the final urge pushing me to do it. I can't believe it snowed already. Our neighbor told us we got flurries in IL while we were in FL. Yeah, I know it is not winter yet so the Spring countdown would probably be depressing if we started it now. :(

Have a great day everyone!

Julie oh that AB premix sounds like a good one, I am going to have to put that on my list. Great job!
I try to get abs in at least 3 times a week. It doesn't always work out that way, but that is my goal. I'm weird in that I actually like doing abs. Of course I don't like ALL of those crazy hard AB exercises, but in general I like to do them. Not so much stretches and yoga though, which is why I'm so still and inflexible! I am just the opposite of you though, I would MUCH rather do the spiderman climbers than those dragging planks! I wonder if I do the spiderman climbers right since I really don't mind them

Cheryl SNOW?! NOOOOOO! That is terrible! I'm glad it didn't stick around, but still! Great job on yoga relax, it sounds like it was just what you needed. It is never too early to start counting down to spring. I'm in on that one!

Julie Great job on spinning plus TBSE! I hope you get some fun in along with clean max and shopping max. I need to do some of that shopping too, I need to get my list together. Btw, I don't think you babble at all! I don't know what you and Janie are talking about with the babbling!

This morning I did the full 86 minutes of total body tri sets. Wow! I loved it! So much variety and the little twists on traditional moves were a really nice way to mix things up. My arms have a nice burn going now! Hope everyone has a great day!

Pam

OMG! I truly thought I posted last night. I did another maxclean and in the middle of crocheting a rug for my bedroom at the beach house. I'm liking it. Hot tubed today and started reading "The Hunger Games" series. Sadly it's upsetting, already crying and I'm not even on the 3rd chapter yet. But, I can't seem to put it down. It draws you in like no other book has. It's fiction and in the future, but, it could very well be ours (the human race) future. :( Well, that's entertainment for ya. I bet they will have a movie about it very soon.

Pam, Great job on SM and abs from C&W. Awe, you opted to work instead of play. :(

Julie, I love your babble, (if that's what it's called) the more you do it the better.;) Great job for the Double Trouble premix. Sounds like a terrific workout.

Cheryl, We have having dabbles of snow, but nothing sticking yet. Great job on yoga relax.

Julie, Great job on 50 min. of steady state spinning and TBSE premix. You are so good!:D

Pam, Great job on the full 86 min. of TBTS. I'm so impressed! Enjoy your DOM's.

Later,

Janie

This morning was STS Disk 27 Shoulders, biceps and triceps. Week 1 down and only three more until I am done.

Julie Good job on your steady state spinning and the Total Body Trisets Scramble express. I haven't looked at those ones yet. Yes it has already snowed and they are saying we could get more but it won't stick around here. The mountains look really nice with the snow and I wish it would just stay there. Maybe we could start the Spring countdown in January or February. Those are two months that are tough for me and counting down to Spring would give us something to look forward to.

Pam I really don't like snow, on the mountains it is fine but not down here. The skiers are loving it though. Way to go on the full 86 minutes of total body tri sets. I will give that one a try once I am finished STS.

Janie You have been busy that is why you forgot to post :D. I have heard of the Hunger Games series, wasn't there something in OD several months ago talking about that series.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Cheryl

Joey and I bought cast iron cookware years and years ago and since our stove (in Shelton) doesn't really accommodate for them we had to put them in storage. However, the stove at the beach house will do just fine. Last night we brought them down from the poll building and I started resurrecting them by taking the old curing off (some of them needed it badly) by using the self cleaning oven. Today I will be curing them all day long. I can see using these for frying eggs (in coconut oil:p), pancakes, muffins, bread, outdoor camp fire... I love this stuff, but man they are heavy, worth it though and will get plenty of iron back into our bodies. I usually cure them with Crisco or something like that, but this time I'm using avocado oil (can withstand a wider range of heat). We'll see how it goes.

Cheryl, In OD The Hunger Games sounded like a really good read. So, I got one book to see if I would like it. OMG! I may go ahead and purchase the others for my Kindle in the next few days or so. You are so perceptive.:) Great job on STS Disc 27 shoulders, biceps and triceps.

Will talk later,

Janie

This morning was yoga at Lululemon. It was sooooo cold out too, they say it may snow tonight but then it will warm up and turn to rain.

Janie Cast iron cookware is so good for you to get your iron. Nice that you can now use it at your new place. They are heavy but you know you will have it for a lot of years. I remembered reading the posts about the Hunger Games. I may look into it later, right now I am reading the Game of Thrones series.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Cheryl

JanieYay for rest day! those are very important as well. Of course the cleaning not to too much fun but what are we going to do. Yes I can be very good if I have to, I have being practicing long enough now that I can bake cake, do rice pudding, cookies for my family and I don't have any if it is not allowed.:D

PamGlad that you got your easy workout in, Step Moves its for sure an easy fun one. Good that your shoulder its better, mine its on and off crazy! Every time its hot and steamy I think about you OMG it feels horrible when it is inside the house out side I don't mind but inside its another story. So funny that day DH got home after work and he told me "I went to the the Officer's club and I have a couple of bears so I'm happy I told him good because I did something, and he asked me what did you buy? so funny he always thinks that I spend money but I told him no money spent only the paper and ink" He doesn't really care.
Enjoy your long weekend we don't get to do anything DH is working till late and he doesn't get the day off.

Julie Good job doing Double Trouble premixes in afterburn I haven't get that far yet but sounds like a good combo. I guess typing all of your recipes into the program is not in your to do list, that's what you kept putting it aside. DH its 95% good he is working out again and building up to where he was before, and he is doing a great job.

Cheryl I really hope that you like the snow, the little time we lived in Virginia we loved the snow and the kids loved even more when the school closes because of it. Its not always that way finishing the cleaning that early most of the time I workout first then after that I clean. Good job doing STS disc 25? good job!!

JulieIf you are not supper women I don't know what to call you:p 50 min of spinning + TB scramble premixes from TBT its a crazy combo, I'm glad that you enjoy that. Go shopping I hate groceries shopping as well, I always forget something then I have to go back.

Pam I knew you would love that one TB trisets its a toughy one but a good a lot of variation and fun moves loved too.

Cheryl did you buy anything at Lululemon?

Saturday I did the Low Impact Challenge I don't know what to think about that one some of the moves were really easy to learn another ones hard I'm going to have to do it one more time to get the feeling for it, also Julie you mentioned before something about the music , it is just me or did Cathe didn't use fun music like with step moves, athletic step, intensity? I don't know what to think,
Last night I got this horrible headache, horrible, when I woke up this morning my head was heavy and still hurts, I even went to sleep early @9pm and today I'm still with headache, hate it:mad:
Today I went to the gym with DH I did back and 30min sprints DH helped me to do pull ups, long time ago he would lift me up just to give me the extra push and today he told me you are an expert I don't need to help you, but still he did he told me to use the kicking motion to do it and I did it, I did it I did a few one trying to get the hang of it, but ONE was all mine I couldn't believe my eyes:eek: I was did you push me Dh say NO that was all you... I was so excited that I wanted to keep doing it , and doing it.
We got swap the swimming classes to tomorrow Tuesday because Rachel got move up a level and the only time they had one for them both was Tuesday, so today was an easy day nothing to hurry DH its working till late too.
Well have a great day.:D

Janie Don't you hate that when you are sure that you posted and find out that you didn't  Great job on maxclean and your crocheting. You KNOW you will have to post a picture of that rug when it's finished! The book you are reading sounds interesting....it makes you cry but you can't put it down. Hmmm....i can't decide if I would want to read that or not!
I don't know if enjoy is quite the word, but I am still enjoying the DOMS today from the total body on Saturday. OUCH!

Cheryl Great job on disc 27, I can't believe you are almost done with STS. Isn't amazing how fast the time goes by?! I'm with you, it would be nice to have snow on the tops of the mountains only. It does look beautiful when it is up there, not so pretty when it's on my grass and roads! Oh the Total Body tri sets is a doozy! I am still feeling it today.

Janie Oh, I love my cast iron pans. The cast iron skillet is the best thing for making blackened fish and I have a big cast iron pot that I make gumbo in. Those are just the perfect pans for the beach. They are heavy but they last forever.

Cheryl Great job on yoga. I hope you didn't get any snow, but cold rain can be worse sometimes. Stay warm!

Eunice Oh my shoulder is still very on and off. I don't think it is much better, I still have to go lighter in weights that normal, but at least i seem to be able to do everything when I lighten up the weights. My DH would assume that I had bought something too. Funny! Will you at least cook a turkey or something for Thanksgiving? You should!
How long did your tush hurt aafter TB trisets? Mine is still talking to me today and I was failing the toilet test yesterday. I think my DH got tired of hearing me say My Butt hurts!
Great job on LIC. I am not really sure what to think of that one yet either. I need to do it a couple more times to get used to it before I decide. As Julie said though, I don't think it has the fun factor of RS. That one is kind've hard to beat, although I think Step Blast comes close.
Oh no you take care of that headache. Wasn't it hard to do that big workout with such a bad headache? Great job on it though. You should be very proud of ONE pull up, I can't do even one!

This morning I did Afterburn. Loved it as much as the first time! I was a little worried since my behind is still a hurting from the TB trisets, but I made it through ok and kept telling myself it would help. I'm not sure if I believe that or not, but I made it through. Then I did the abs from Step, Pump and Jump. I was surprised when I started doing them to find that my abs also are still feeling some DOMS from TBT. I didn't notice the pain since my butt was so sore I guess! Anyway, have a great Monday everyone!

Pam

I spent most of Sunday getting some things ready for Thanksgiving. Mainly measuring out the ingredients so they are all ready to go. Then I spent the rest of the day snuggling with Maggie. This morning I did Slide & Glide. I don’t know why but I was having a really strong day today. I really felt good doing the mountain climbers and pushup variations. However, as soon as we got to the bicep curls with the band that strong feeling left. Why are those so hard? Maybe I am just not comfortable with them yet.

Pam Good job doing TBSTB! I do really like TBT because it is so different than traditional weight lifting. Of course I love traditional workouts too. Yeah, I’m not a fan of working my abs which is probably an indication that I need to do it more often. I am sure you are doing the spiderman climbers right since you are like working abs. The grocery store was crazy on Saturday. DH was pulling into the lot and let out a loud groan because of all the cars there. I reminded him it was the last weekend before Thanksgiving so there would be tons of people there. Great job on AB and abs from SJP! TBT is sneaky on the ab DOMS. You think since you are only doing abs a little, you won’t get them but I think all the other exercises sneak core work in there.

Janie Sounds like you have been going crazy with the clean max. You are so crafty with your jewelry making and crocheting a rug. You are so good with reading too. I used to love reading but now I just don’t have the energy or patience or something. I like reading magazines but not books. Hope you got all the cookware cured. I only have one cast iron skillet. They are really heavy but hey you can now consider cooking a resistance workout!

Cheryl Great job on disc 27! Wow STS sure does fly doesn’t it? I am right there with you in that January and February are so hard. I think it is because the holidays are over and it is the worst part of the winter weather-wise. I’m going to be starting my next round of STS next Monday. Hopefully by being in Meso 2 & 3 during January and February that will help me be in a better mood. Of course the Spring countdown will help too! Great job going to yoga. Hopefully it warmed you up a little.

Eunice Great job on Low Impact Challenge on Saturday! I don’t even remember the music on that one. I don’t really think any of the music in this series is very memorable. In fact, I only remember and recognize one song. In Athletic Training, there is a musical version of Raise Your Glass by Pink. I like that one. I’m not really one to care much about the music. If it is great like in Body Max 2 or Low Impact Circuit, great; otherwise, I just do the workout and ignore the music. I’m super impressed with your pullup at the gym! That is totally amazing. Plus you did it with a giant headache. I think you are the superwoman of this group now!!! Too funny you mentioned forgetting something at the store. That is exactly what I did this time. I forgot to get butter for some cookies I am making for the Thanksgiving. Now I have to go back. Yuck!

Have a great day!

Joey and I did TBS, abs and stretches. I'm still cleaning and curing iron cookware. There is so much of it! I'm doing it different this time, Usually the direction says to put the temp of the oven to 350 degrees and one person I've found does it at 500 degrees. So I did that. What a difference! That is the way to do it. The oils really adhere so much better than ever before. I don't think I will ever have to season again. Rolly goes in tomorrow to get his teeth cleaned.

Cheryl, Great job on yoga. Yes, our weather is changing. I'd like one or two days of snow to make a snowman, then the rest of the time will be wishing for Spring to come early. We are expecting lots of wind and rain for awhile.

Eunice, Wish I had your stamina and strong will.:D Great job this weekend for doing LIC (the more you do that one the easier it will become I think). I hate headaches too, they are not nice! Great job on back and 30 min. sprints and pull ups. It's must be great to have DH spot you. Great job that you are improving so much. Those are hard for women to do! I would be excited to. Good for you.

Pam, I'll take a photo of the rug today, right after I post. Yes, a book you love to hate. It's really good, and it's not making me cry right now. I must have been moody that day or something. Great job on Afterburn and ab work. "I was surprised when I started doing them to find that my abs also are still feeling some DOMS from TBT. I didn't notice the pain since my butt was so sore I guess!" LOL:eek: you are so funny. Enjoy your DOM's.

Julie, Great job on S&G and snuggling with Maggie. I feel for you when we are stronger in one area and not so much in another area of exercise. I'm that way to. Wish I knew why. Reading and doing all different kinds of things is therapeutic for me. I kinda feel like I have to. I come from a family with Alzheimer and doing my best to not get it. So far so good, but I'm only 60 and it usually comes a little older than that. I'm keeping my brain busy and fingers crossed. My mother died of it, two of my siblings (a brother and sister) have it. Soooo sad! I make time to do those kinds of things. LOL:eek:, Yep cooking a resistance workout with cast iron cookware. Love that.

Rug is about 3' x 9" by 3' x 3"

Well, Joey loved it so much that I gave it to him. I'll make myself something else. I do love him and want him to be a happy camper. Like making them anyway, gives me an excuse to do another one. What the rug is laying on is the exact carpet he will have in his bedroom.

Take care,

Janie

Today was STS Disk 28 Chest and Back. I was so tired today I didn't want to do it but I did. The weather here is soooo dreary, it didn't snow down here but it sure did rain. Tonight and tomorrow we are suppose to have high winds and lots of rain. Oh boy something to look forward to on the commute to work.

Eunice No I hate snow. I loved it as a kid so I could get out of school and go sledding but not now. I didn't notice the music in Low Impact Challenge. I am one of those people who can workout and not really notice the music at all. I am with you that some of the steps are easy but some of them will take some practice. Way to go with your pull ups. It is so nice when you do it all on your own, you feel like you have accomplished something.

Pam I just started week #2 with meso 3 and it has gone by really fast. I will try Total Body Tri sets once I am finished with STS. It sounds like it will be a good workout. We didn't get any snow but it was still cold. When it is cold and rainy the dampness just cuts right through you. Good job on Afterburn.

Julie You really are organized with measuring out ingredients for Thanksgiving. I bet Maggie enjoyed the snuggling with you too. Good job on Slide and Glide. Sometimes I find the band work harder for some reason. You are working the muscles but a bit different from normal weight work. January and February are the worst months that is for sure. The days are so short and the weather is awlful.

Janie Good job on TBS and stretching. I hope everything goes well with Rolly's teeth cleaning. Sounds like we are expecting the same weather for the next week. Nice rug too, so nice that Joey loved it so much that you gave it to him.

Have a great Tuesday everyone.

Cheryl
