Strength in Numbers

Today I did the new Low Impact challenge aerobic step up. I'm so glad I did. It wasn't pretty, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be either. Woo Hoo! Talk about sweaty!

Pam, Great job on this mornings 4DH bootcamp, don't blame you for not subbing that one out. It is a fantastic workout. We did have our first meal there. It was when my Dad was visiting us for 3 weeks. It was just a sub sandwich, but it was our first meal. Then Joey and I had sub sandwiches a couple time after that. Joey's and my first homemade meal was last Monday. We had muscles, clams, and squid from Costco. I put it in a crock pot and added chicken broth, potatoes, squash and a ham hock. Added my special bread. It was soooooooooo good. We might have that again next Monday.

Julie, Great job on this mornings Slide and Glide. I need to do that one also. Scared of that one too. Love combing the beach. So much fun! Travel home safely.

Eunice, Your pictures of before and after are fantastic. You can see the muscles in your tummy and all over. What a difference. You should be very proud of yourself. Great work you did! Great job on shoulders/calves and cardio of Step Blast. Love the idea of Step Blast II.

Cheryl, Great job on KPC. You did good, that one is not easy to do at all. Enjoy the holiday for Remembrance Day tomorrow.

Julie Great job on slide and glide! I did that one this morning. it was really different but really fun. Do you have something that tells you how many calories you are burning when you workout? Oh how fun walking on the beach looking for shells? Did you find any good ones? I bet Maggie really enjoyed that! I hope that you have good weather for your drive home and that it is a non-eventful trip! It sounds like you went well prepared for your workouts this week, that is great. It would have been kind've tough bringing your step. I have done that on vacations before, but only when we were going somewhere to just hang out with family.

Eunice Oh yea, the downloads take forever. I usually try to download them when I'm in the office because the network is faster here. I hope you get those CDs by Monday, but at least you can try some of the workouts once you have them downloaded in any case. We have AT&T for our phone service and they make you do a 2 year contract. I hate AT&T and wanted to go back to Verizon, but they changed the data plan RIGHT before our contract was up so it was going to cost us a lot more to switch :) I was really mad because I was ready to get rid of AT&T. The good thing though is that the network seems to have improved, I haven't had a dropped call in a long time. My DH has done that when he has been travelling in Europe before - bought a sim card to use in his phone. That is nice. Wow, that must've made you feel really good to read all of those nice comments from Brandy's friends! That says a lot about you as parents too!
Great job on shoulders calves and step blast! I love love that one! I would LOVE a step blast 2, I think you should suggest it to Cathe! :D I'm glad that you are having so much fun with your new toy too!
Congratulations on sticking to Jamie's program for the whole 12 weeks, you have just done an amazing job and you should be so proud of yourself. It's great that your DH was so supportive too, that helps a lot!

Cheryl Wow, I can't believe your DVDs are taking so long. I think those customs people must've decided that they are going to keep them. Be on the lookout for new Canadian customs cathletes! ;):p Great job on KPC though, that is a fun one! Oh yes, we did get snow last year and I'm hoping that doesn't happen again this year! Of course the kids are always hoping for it because if they even PREDICT snow here they close all the schools. It is the craziest thing ever! Did you get the day off for Remembrance Day? it's veterans day here, but we still had to work. I guess not many people had to though because the commute was great.

Janie Great job on aerobic step! I was the same way as you on that one. I was afraid I was just going to be so confused but it wasn't as tricky as I was expecting. Oh wow, your first homemade meal at the beach sounds awesome. The perfect beach meal! Can I come on Monday and have it with you? ;)

This morning for me was supposed to be 4DS HIS, but I decided to do slide and glide instead. I think Julie and I are on the same workout wavelength this week. It was really unique and fun and goes by really fast. I felt like I was really panting for awhile there. I was a little afraid that I would have all kinds of trouble keeping my feet on the discs but it wasn't too bad. I definitely prefer the slower moves to the faster ones though. The floor section in this one is really good too! Happy Friday everyone! Have a great weekend!

Pam

Janie Good job on Low Impact Challenge. It was nice to have today off, too bad the weather is terrible.

Pam I think customs is trying out my DVDs too. I don't think I have waited this long for quite a while. Wow they close the schools when they just Predict it!!!! No wonder why the kids are hoping for that. Yes I got today off because of Rememberance Day. Not every one gets it though. Here it depends what Province you live in on whether or not you have the day off or not. It allowed me to get the housework done today which was nice. Good job on Slide and Glide. This will be an interesting one to try.

Today I did Intensity . I can tell I haven't been working out hard for the past little while. Wow that was a tough one for me, I think I need to pull up my socks and get sweating more.

Have a great Saturday everyone.

Cheryl

JanieIs this from the new series? it looks like you did have so much fun! Love to be sweaty! Good job. Hmmm your diner at the beach house sounds delicious and perfect for the place and weather. Thanks for the comments on my pictures, I'm so glad I did the program:D I'm going to stick to phase 2 until dec. so I can be ready to go up the hill... my 40Birthday!;):D

PamI know the downloads are hard to get, I keep getting the message that I have no permiso to get the download:mad: DH hates the 2 years contract as well I do like the way they work they prepaid phone too easy... When I was reading Brandy's friend comments I felt really proud of her she is a good girl, good grades, I really wish she could stay in that school "smart school" oh well, I haven't even heard from the other school I did called last week and the guy who does the enroll papers is on sick leave:confused: I should suggest about step blast 2 I'm sure Cathie is already thinking about her next project. Thanks for your comments about me finessing the program, I feel so accomplish and proud of my self I'm so ready to do it all over again, I was thinking that next year when we start getting ready to go back home its going to be hard to be on shape we are going to move out of the house move in a hotel and send all of our stuff back home, just thinking about it make me sad, where I'm going to cook? those places don't have everything I need to keep up my work.:mad:Oh well we'll see! Good job doing slide and glide, do you have wood floors to do that one? I wonder if I'm going to be able to do it in the garage floors.

Cheryl Sorry no dvd's:-( good job on yesterday's WO KPC I haven't done that one in so long. Thanks for you complements on my pictures:eek: You are right our bodes are diff and respond diff too. The storms are scary but I'm glad that I didn't hear anything after going to bed, the next morning there was trees and branches all over the road. If you pay duty its expensive? I hope you don't have to pay any. And good job for doing Intensity that one its a hard one for sure.

Its official today I did the last workout of the trainer, finally!! So funny because so much of an excitement for the last WO I over slept this morning:confused: I use to get up at 7:00am on Sat, just to have a quiet moment I don't know what happen today, I was thinking what WO should be the last one? I picked Athletic Step my favorite one and this time I didn't have to be worried about my HR I'd give it my all but it was a short WO so I add 20 min of cardio Fusion just to make up one hour of cardio it was nice and sweaty.
Well have a nice weekend girls.:p;)

Chery Oh yes, everything here goes crazy when there is snow or the chance of it. The grocery stores sell out of bread and milk and everybody pretty much loses their minds! Last year the kids were off school for 4 days when we had less than an inch of snow. It is really ridiculous. That's nice that you were able to get your housework done yesterday so that you can enjoy your weekend. I am feeling yesterdays slide and glide in my lower abs big time today! It really works the core. Oh yea, and it has those burpees on the discs into the straddle pushups. They are killers!
Great job on Intensity!! That one is a killer killer killer! I think it hurts no matter how hard you've been working out!

Eunice Oh yes, it is hard trying to live in a hotel. It's not too bad for a few days, but longer than that isn't much fun. Do they have any of those places that are meant for staying longer term and have a little kitchen? I know those are usually not equipped very well, but at least you can do *some* cooking in them. I don't have wood floors in my workout room, I have carpet, but I think that wood floors would work better. I saw some people in the open discussion said that they got a remnant of carpet that they put down over their floors so that they can slide. Some people were trying to use those puzzle mats but they said that they weren't working very well. If your floor is cement you will probably need to find something that you can put on top of it that they will slide on. Great job on AS and 20 minutes of cardio fusion. CONGRATULATIONS on officially finishing the trainer!!! Awesome job!

This morning for me was plyo legs disc 32. I was so excited when I realized that this one doesn't have any of the the 1/2 turn jumps! YEA!! It does however have the one legged squat thrusts! I'm not too bad on my right leg, but my left leg is a lot harder! Of course I always start with my right leg too...i also did the chest and back from 4ds HIS since I missed it yesterday. Now I'm off to the outlet mall to do some shopping! Have a great day everyone!

Yesterday (Friday) I truly didn't want to exercise at all. I mean I didn't! My Joey took hold of the reins and told me that we don't have a choice to not to. If we stopped exercising even for a little while it would lead to no exercise in our lives. He asked me if I wanted to be fat. Well, we exercised. Together we decided even our beach house will not intrerrupt us from here on out. We have different days to accommodate everything we want to do. We go to the beach house on Mon. morning and leave Tues. late afternoon (should give us plenty of time to work) . We exercise on Wedn., Fri., and Sun. This will work perfectly. I'm so glad for my Joey. He's awesome! I would hate to think what would happen if I didn't have him around. My personal motivator...

Pam
, We would love to have you over at the beach house. Invitation stands forever.;) Great job on S&G. That will be my next one I do. Scared of that one too.

Cheryl, Great job on Intensity. Wow! Love your attitude.

Eunice, Congratulations! You did it! Great job on AS and CF. Very proud of you.:)

Pam, Great job on plyo legs disc 32. Glad for you that it didn't have the half turns. Enjoy your shopping!

Have a good one everyone,

Janie

Eunice Duty isn't expensive just annoying. Congrats for finishing your 12 weeks. Good job on Athletic Step and Cardio Fusion.

Pam Wow an inch of snow and the kids get to stay home . They must really love that. Burpees on the discs  and into staddle push ups :eek:. I can see why your core is sore today. Good job on plyo legs. Those one legged squat thrusts are hard. I always have a hard time keeping my balance.

Janie Good for Joey to get you going, your personal motivator. Sometimes we need that don't we. You always feel better if you push yourself to do it too.

Well a friend of mine who lives a couple of miles from me got her disks on Thursday and she didn't have to pay duty. I am hoping that mine will come on Monday. This morning I did the cardio only of 4DS HIS. I didn't have much time to work out because I was meeting the same friend who got the disks early this morning to go to Circle Craft. It is a craft fair that has been here in Vancouver for quite a number of years. This was our first time going to it. There was so much nice stuff and a price tag to match. It was interesting going around to the different stalls and seeing what they had.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Cheryl

PamOOOHHH yes believe me I'm not excited about it, yes the hotels have a little kitchen and a few dishes:( YESSSS!!! I got my dvd's today! tomorrow I'm going to try one of them I don't know which one yet :D Good job doing ploy legs and chest and back your funny! I think I do the same thing I always start with my easy legs.. SO what did you buy at the outlet?

JanieAwww so sweet of your Joey!! So glad for you two guys you both are a great example, so funny that he told you if you wanted to be fat, if Kenny ask the same question to me I would exercise too. Good that you even got your schedule all planed and all that stuff.Love the personal motivator!!

CherylDid you got your dvd's yet?!?! I got mine today yay!! Sounds like a fun day, going shopping for crafts, did you buy anything? Good job for doing the cardio from 4DS HIS,

Yesterday Sunday Brandy cut her chocolate cake OMG it was soooo good I had a little piece, the DH asked me to bake his favorite cake and guess what? I did:eek: so yes, two cake in one day, at least we had healthy pizza, 1kilo chicken mince, italian season, garlic, salt, put that one over a cookie sheet flat that was suppose to be the crust bake it for 20 min, pulled out and put  used spaghetti sauce, cottage cheese, spinach, mushrooms, bell pepper, jalapeños, olives, baked for 15 min and it was sooooo delicious! a hit. So it was good.

Today was my rest day it was kind of boring:confused:, I went to the store to buy some little thing for Rachel's school, then I cooked a little of my every day food, protein bars, watch TV, took Sam for a walk, took the girls to swimming class, cook diner, and now I'm watching the Xfactor, but tomorrow I'm trying one of Cathe's workouts I don't know which one yet!!!
I really need to go back to workout.
Have a great day girls!! TTYL;):D

Janie Wow, good for Joey for pushing you and for you for appreciating that! Those are the days that you usually feel especially good about your workout (once it's over of course!) It sounds like you two have a great plan of attack worked out here to fit in all of the important things. I am always telling my DH that I'm going to stop exercising and start eating a lot and just get fat. Of course he agrees that I should do that because he knows it will never happen. He knows me too well  I will keep that open invitation the the beach in mind!! You shouldn't be afraid of Slide and glide, it's fun (well except for maybe those burpees into the straddle pushups !) Did you get 2 sets of discs so that you and Joey can do that one together?

Cheryl Well I am thinking you will HAVE to get your dvds today! I have my fingers crossed for you! Great job on 4DS HIS cardio. Circle Craft sounds interesting, what kinds of things did they have there? I love those kinds of things. They used to have them all of the time when we were in California, but DH got kind've tired of going to them  They always had wine at them there though, so better yet :D

Eunice Congratulations on getting your DVDs!!! I can't wait to hear which one you try first. My favorite so far is Afterburn, I may do that one again this week. I haven't tried them all yet though. I bought myself a new winter jacket and a new lightweight jacket at the Columbia outlet. All of their outerwear was 30% off and then I had a couple for an additional 10% off which was nice! I also got some Christmas presents for the kids. Some shirts for the boys at the Gap outlet and some nice flannel PJ pants for Ashley at Loft. It was a really nice day out so it was nice to just be out walking around too. Two cakes in one day! Now THAT is the way to celebrate the end of the program! I bet DH was happy to get his favorite cake. Your pizza has too many things on it that I don't like, but I'm glad it was a hit there! I would have to have it without the cottage cheese, mushrooms, peppers and olives! Think that would be as good? Probably not!
For being bored it sounds like you had a pretty busy day!
Yesterday was my rest day but I had a lot of stuff to do at home since I spent Saturday shopping. I finished another one of my glass windows, just one more to go! Then I cleaned out the upstairs linen closet. I was so glad to get that done as it has been on the list for awhile! After that I blew all the leaves off the yard and then mowed. I ran out of gas in the blower 3 times while blowing the leaves if that gives you an idea of how much blowing I did! It was really windy too and the wind was working against me, but I didn't want the leaves killing all the grass that we just planted. Today the yard looks beautiful though! Then I made chicken and dumplings for dinner. I was going to try to do one of the new yoga workouts, but I ran out of time. Oh yea, I also did all of the laundry in between! DH got home from his golf trip and had a bowl of chicken and dumplings even though he already had dinner! I told him that was a strange dessert!
This morning thanks to Cheryl and Eunice I did Intensity. It's so hard but so much fun. Julie, I hope your trip home went smoothly! Have a great day everyone!

Well it has been awhile since I last posted. Since that time, I did Afterburn on Friday morning before we headed home. We stopped at a hotel in GA Friday night and then left early Saturday morning to finish our trip back to IL. We got home around 8pm on Saturday and by the time we got the car unloaded I was pooped out. Sunday was back to getting up early so we could unload the U-Haul. We had boxes and furniture to unload at mom’s house, sister’s house, and my house. I finally got to relax a little starting at around 3 pm on Sunday after getting everything unpacked, laundry done, and the curio cabinet I got set up in the living room. I had a hard time sleeping last night (must have been my excitement at going back to work and my 500+ emails to sort through) but I managed to get up and do Athletic Training. That one is super fun. The cardio portion is a real leg burner and definitely gets you anaerobic. My heart rate stayed up until close to the end when we moved in to upper body work. So far, I think Afterburn and Athletic Training are my favorites from the new workouts.

Eunice Great job on finishing out your program! You should be proud of your accomplishment. 12 weeks is a long time to go. I didn’t get a lot of pictures on the beach. I was worried about getting my camera wet. My mom took some pictures but she hasn’t been feeling well so I am not sure when she will get them sent to me. Great job on going all out on Athletic Step. That is a good one. Plus adding on 20 min. of Cardio Fusion! You are a wonder! Yea! I’m so glad you got your DVDs finally! I can’t wait to see which one you tried out first!

Cheryl Great job on KPC! We actually lucked out on the weather front. When we left FL, it was in the mid 70s; when we got to IL, it was in the mid 60s! Crazy but we are supposed to stay in the 50s this week which is cold but not as bad as 30s (yet!). Great job on Intensity! That one is quite the doozy. I’m always glad when we get to the part where we put the steps away. The HiiT portion seems a little more tolerable than the step portion. Great job on cardio from 4DS HIS! That is the toughest choreography for me but I get better each time. Here’s to hoping that you post tonight that you got your DVDs!

Janie Great job on LIS Step Challenge! I always think the first time through any step workout isn’t pretty. Since you don’t know the moves it is hard to have that fluidity that comes from knowing what is next. Good job getting your sweat on though! Don’t fear Slide & Glide. It was really a lot of fun. Good for you for working out! Sometimes it is so hard and we have to make ourselves do it. It is nice that you have Joey to motivate you. My DH would tell me to not workout if I didn’t want to. It is nice that you have a plan together now too. I think that helps.

Pam Great job on SG! That one is super fun and fast and really different than anything I have done before. I definitely prefer slower disc moves too. For some reason I just can’t get the disc jacks down. I can only imagine I look like I am falling backwards and trying to keep my balance. I have a Polar heart rate monitor that counts the calories burned during a workout. I can’t say it is extremely accurate but it gives me a base line to judge a workouts calorie burning potential. I used to also have a BodyBugg (like they use on Biggest Loser) but it just got irritating to wear all the time. There wasn’t a lot of shells on the beach. Most of what we found were the small clamshell ones. We did find a huge horseshoe crab shell. It was dead or else I wouldn’t have gone near it. Great job on plyo legs and chest/back! I always do my left side first on any exercise because it is weaker. Great job on Intensity!

Have a great day!

Well I finally got my DVDs today. But here is the story. My neighbour came over around dinner time tonight to give me a slip from Canada Post to pick up my package. Yep they delivered it to the wrong place and on top of that they tried to deliver it on Thursday, my nieghbour had forgotten about giving me the slip until today. On top of that I had to pay another $19.51 in duty and taxes . My friend who lives 5 minutes away from me got hers delivered on Thursday and didn't have to pay anything . If we have to pay duty so be it just don't pick and choose who pays it and who doesn't. OK rant over.

I did try Slide and Glide tonight, after all that waiting I had to try something. Wow I see what you guys mean about the sliding planks . I think I will be sore tomorrow.

Eunice Yay you got your too. I can't do all of them until I finish up my STS rotation which will be in another 4 weeks. I didn't buy too much at Circle Craft, some hand made soap and some stamps to make cards. Yummy chocolate cake, I love chocolate cake. You pizza sounds yummy too. Enjoy your workout tomorrow.

Pam Circle Craft was really expensive. There was a lot of jewelery, paintings, clothes, chocolate. There were really nice things there and a lot of it was over $100. So I did a lot of looking. Sorry no wine at this one, I was surprised I thought there might be. You didn't want to feel left out with doing Intensity did you :D. Good job on it.

Julie Good job on Afterburn and Athletic Training. You sure did have a busy weekend but at least it is all done. You do have warmer weather than we do here. It was a clear day here today and you could see the snow on top of the mountains. Too bad it won't just stay up there and leave us down here alone. It was really windy too, it was blowing so hard that you had to lean forward to walk in it . My hair looked just wonderful by the time I got to the office. I enjoy the low impact Hiit over the high impact. I don't mind the step work but those plie jacks followed by the sprawl and jabs get me every time.

Have a great Tuesday everyone.

Cheryl

Pam OMG and today I had such a busy day, I went groceries, went to the dentist, clean the floors, and picked up the girls from the station, dinner and I didn't lake the time to workout, I don't want to get to too worry about it because I know that my body needs a little break but tomorrow I have no excuses tomorrow that's the first thing I'm going to do, weird, but I even feel butterflies in my belly just to think about the workouts.. Sounds like you had fun shopping, just perfect for the weather you are getting ahead with those presents good on you!!! OMG DH can eat the cake all by him self, yesterday I only had one of my protein bars when DH was eating his cake:D and so we did today he had the last piece:confused: finally! You are so funny you don't like anything but the chicken hahahaha!!!!!! what kind of veggies do you love?
You are good doing all your work your glass for the window and cleaning the closet, I hate doing that, I clean once then the girls go to get what ever they feel like it to play one of the blankets and everything goes back to a mess:mad: I think it was a good desert if it was cold! Last winter I was doing chicken dumplings mmmmm!! so good, when we go to Texas we always stop to eat at Crackle Barrel I think that's the name of the restaurant and I always get the dumplings I know, I'm bad:confused:
Good job doing Intensity we always have to copy each other that's the way to go!!!

Julie Good job doing your workouts, we know that if there is something that you won't miss is your workout;) Pretty busy weekend I'm tired just to think all you did, the furniture that you kept from your grandmother did you picked? I bet just thinking an old that work waiting for you was hard to get some sleep, I hope now you can relax and have a good night! I keep hearing good things about Athletic Training I think that's the one I'm going to try! Thanks Julie yes I cannot believe that I did it for 12 straight weeks:confused: I also have a polar watch to see how many calories I burn.

Cheryl Yayay!!! you got your dvd's too!! but at least you already did one I haven't  Its a bummer that your neighbor didn't had to pay duty taxes and you did, and the mail guy too, how can they deliver the notice to someone else I would had be soooo mad too! at least you had a fun day at the craft expo.

Like I said before today I didn't workout, we got pay and it was time for me to go groceries, I went to pay bills, then get back home cleaned the house then I went to the dentist after that I got back home wait a little bit and then I went to picked up the girls, crazy today I went out to town 3 times its a 10-15 min drive so it was pretty annoying but all the things I did it couldn't get done at once. Tomorrow the girls have the family festival so there something else to do, one or I'm really lazy and I just want to stay home, or two I'm still I'm just a lazy:confused: Oh going back to the dentist thing I have to get the wisdom tooth pulled out, I don't know when I have to check that too.
Well have a great day girls.:D:p I will let you know how thing are for me tomorrow with my WO!!!!!!!

Julie Great job on Afterburn! So far it is my favorite of the new workouts. You had quite the busy weekend with all of the driving and unpacking, your mind was probably having trouble slowing down on Sunday night. It is always such a joy coming back to work and having hundreds of emails waiting after being out, isn't it? Hopefully you have made it through those by now. I can't remember which workout I liked better between AT and CS, but I think it was AT, so I'm thinking we are in agreement on our favorites.
S&G reminds me a lot of when we had the slides at the gym and you would put little booties on your feet to slide on them. We used to spray them with Pledge to make them extra slippery too! I looked at the BodyBuggs but didn't end up getting anything like that.
Too bad you didn't find any fun shells, but I'm sure it was nice just to get out and enjoy walking on the beach. I love to do that.
You are so smart doing your left side first when you workout, I need to try to remember to do that too.

Cheryl I'm so glad that you finally got your DVDs, but what a bummer that you could have had them last week AND you had to pay duty! That is really annoying that some people have to pay and some don't, and it sounds like the amounts are inconsistent too  It makes you wonder....Great job on slide and Glide. Those zombie dragging planks are something, aren't they?! That one also has the burpees into the straddle pushups doesn't it? Those really get me too!
Wow, I dont' think I would have been buying much at circle craft either if a lot of it was over $100. I always expect things to be less expensive at those kinds of events......
Oh yea, gotta love those plie jacks into the sprawl and jabs. And she says the sprawl and jabs are a 'gift' as if they are easy. Every time I do it I'm wishing there were only 2 sets instead of 3!

Eunice Wow, you sure did have another busy day, you must've been beat! And no, you shouldn't worry about not getting to workout but I understand when you do worry. I get stressed if I go more than a couple of days without my workout  That's funny that you are getting butterflies thinking about the workouts! The nice thing about a lot of them is that you don't have to worry about being able to pick up the steps. The choreography is easy and you just pick it right up. So far the step one is the only one that I've found needs a little practice. Whew! What a relief that that cake is gone now :p
What veggies do I love: Carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, squash, green beans, peas, cabbage. There are probably others that I'm not thinking of right now but I really love all of those. So don't worry, I get plenty of veggies :D
I hate cleaning out the closets too, but I'm always so happy to get it done. I got rid of a lot of the stuff that was in there since it was just taking up space but not being used. We had a lot of old sheet sets and towels. I'm taking the sheets and blankets to Goodwill and my DH is taking the towels for drying the cars when he washes them or to use as rags. I'm sure the kids will manage to get it all messy in no time though :confused:
Oh boy, it doesn't sound like fun getting your wisdom teeth out! I had that done about 20 years ago.

This morning I did Turbo Barre. Outer thighs!!!!! OUCH OUCH OUCH! I was mad though because it froze about 3 times during the workout and then for almost the whole cool down so I have to contact customer service and get a new one. Luckily during the workout it was always on the second side so I knew how many repetitions to do. For the cooldown I just gave up and did my own stretching. Have a great day everyone!

Pam

This morning I did Cycle Max. I still can’t get over how much I sweat during that one. Oh, and I dropped my towel again around the 20 minute mark. What is up with that?! Luckily DH came to my rescue and picked it up for me. Gotta love that he didn’t care it was soaked with sweat!

Cheryl Yea, you finally got your DVDs! That stinks that it was such a hassle and that you really could have gotten them earlier if the Post had delivered them to the right place. That is totally unfair that some people had to pay duty and some don’t. It should be everyone or no one. And almost $20 extra dollars is crazy! If they spread that fee out across all packages, maybe it wouldn’t be so high. S&G is fun isn’t it? And a lot tougher than you think it will be. We had a super windy day on Sunday. It was so bad, those big orange construction cones were blowing all over the roads.

Eunice Wow your day was really busy! Running errands is so exhausting sometimes. All the driving too. Too bad about getting your wisdom teeth pulled. I had all 4 of mine taken out about 13 years ago. They hadn’t broken through the gumline yet so they had to be cut out. Seems bad but it wasn’t as bad as it sounds. I was sore and had to drink my food for a few days but then it was back to normal. Do you just have to have 1 pulled out? I actually didn’t get any furniture from my grandma. My sister got my grandma’s hutch cabinet and gave me the curio cabinet she got when our great grandma passed away. I was supposed to get the hutch but it wouldn’t fit in my dining room so I traded my sister for the cabinet which I had always wanted. You should definitely do Athletic Training or Afterburn first! They are my new favorites. But really they are all so good in their own way.

Pam Great job on making it through TB with the freezes! I think I read somewhere that others were having freezing problems with the TB disc. Supposedly cleaning it fixed most peoples’ problems. I did TB from my download so no problems but I’ll see what the disc brings. That is funny you put pledge on the sliders at the gym. I have thought about using swifter on the bottom of the discs instead of the wraps that they came with. I think if I put pledge on it to make it more slippery, I would be doing the splits or falling on my face or butt! I wore the BodyBugg for about 9 months and then quit. It has left a dent in my arm from the band so my left arm looks weird compared to my right. It is an interesting concept and good for people who have no idea how many calories they should be eating to lose weight because they don’t know how many they burn in a day but it is not something I could wear for the rest of my life.

Have a great day!

Hi Guys, got home tired again, but that's OK. We are still going two steps further and one step backwards, but I think it could be forward from here on out. Just before we left the beach house, we made a test. We washed a wall in my bedroom and a wall in the bathroom with a degreaser. Then we put a primer coat on. If that hold up, then we will start doing that all through the house. Yipppppppy! I have a feeling it will do just fine. The smell is hardly noticeable now, but using a Fabreeze candle on one side of the house and the other candle on the other side. Makes me feel better. We also have dehumidifiers going when we are there and one on while we are gone. We opened our Pergo of blue and it wasn't blue like I thought, but a beautiful slate blue. Talk about serendipity! I love this color soooooo much! I knew we were taking a chance by looking at the colors on the computer and we were lucky. We walked the beach before we went home and the day was so beautiful and sunny. Rolly is in heaven at the beach and free. You should see him move. He's fast! Tomorrow is TBS as usual. Yeah!

Cheryl, Congatras for getting the DVD's! Why does your neighbor not have to pay duty tax and you do? Great job on the Slide & Glide. I'm going to have to do that one next time.

Eunice, Congrats too for finally getting the DVD's. And enjoy your rest day. Let us know which one you are working out to.

Pam, Great job on Turbo Barre. Oh I love that one! Yes it's an ouchie. Oh, I'm so sorry about the frozen DVD. Bummer, but customer service is good.

Julie, Great job on CM. Hubby's are cook that way (picking up the towel). Got to love em.

Have a good one,

Janie

Pam I don't think I need to put extra slippery on the discs that is so funny that you used pledge:eek: I was watching after burn and I'm thinking that the dixie cups is just a silly thing to do, I am right? I'm going to do that one tomorrow and get me some silly:confused: I'm pretty sure that it does looks like so easy to do but will see what I think afterword... the workouts are very fast moving I had to stop a few times to get my stuff ready and because it was the first time doing it I needed to make sure I was getting everything right, I did love Athletic Training I thought it was gone be more like Muscle Max or something like that but it was pretty good, I need to let it sink on my head and think step by step what we did the upper work was good, I loved the shoulder workout and the abs workout! Good, I'm glad that you like veggies;) Nice of you for taking stuff that you don't want to Goodwill, after the old ladies from Salvation Army were so good to me when we got here I want to give them everything I don't need. I forgot to make the phone call for that I'm supposed to get 2 bottom & top but she say that I might be a good idea to get them all 4 out, OUCH!!
Good job doing turbo barre :D Now you just remind me that I have to buy the tower, I deep forgetting that. You should contact cathe support for that they are pretty good at doing their job on keeping us happy!

Julie Awesome job doing Cycle Max, I have to download that one on my iPod and take it with me to the gym, I think you are extra slippery when you do that one that's why you keep dropping your towel:p Back at home the dentist suggested to get them all pulled out, I don't remember why I didn't do it, so now again I hope the insurance cover me for that, did you got yours pulled out and you got complete under or just local anesthesia? I'm a chicken  Its going to be very interesting to see how that goes about food. Well at least you got what you wanted and I'm sure it looks pretty.

Janie You had being so busy working hard on your house, I think its a lot of work but a very rewarding job because is all for you guys to enjoy.. And even Rolly is having such a good time there. So now you can sleep in the beach house? How fun!
Today I did Athletic Training, its a sneaky one my butt was cramping when we got to the fire walking thingy's and the beginning of the workout was another goodie,oh!!! and the abs was good too..Also I went to theSchool Family day, we take our lunch and eat with the kids they run, of course parents if they want then can do too, they have a show, it was ok.:)
I think tomorrow I'm going to do after burn, I think I'll do that one inside the house for the slippery fun factor, I was reviewing that one and Amanda is so good doing the the mountain climbers she was moving those legs sooooo fast, I really like her too.
Also let me tell you guys I bought 2 dresses online and I had to return them because they were sooo big on me specially on my chest area, sooo big that even Stacy told me to wear my fake bra so ugly, the dresses looked so ugly when I told DH he even say, I'm going to have to buy you some boobs? I don't know if I'll like that:confused: yeah silly boy I'm pretty sure you are going to love that!
Have a great day!

Julie Great job on Cycle Max. I can't believe you lost your towl again. I think you need to get a bungee or something and attach it to your handlebars :) A towel is very important when you are cycling! Nice that DH was there to come to your rescue though! When I did spinning at the Y we used to have contests to see who had the biggest sweat puddle on the floor afterwards
That is a great idea to try cleaning the TB disc to see if it fixes the freezes. I will give that a try and hopefully that will do it. Wow, you have a permanent dent in your arm from wearing that BodyBugg? That is a little bit scary! I think that alone would keep me from wearing one. I agree that it is an interesting concept and a great tool to help people get started, I think I will pass though!

Janie Boy you guys are really going to town on the beach house. You are working your butts off! It sounds like you are making great progress though. How exciting that the flooring is even nicer than what you had imagined, isn't that a pleasant surprise! It is going to look like a brand new place by the time you are done. how nice for Rolly to be able to run and play and enjoy the beach too!

Eunice I didn't use dixie cups when I did Afterburn, I just tried to reach down as low as possible. There is a funny thread in the open discussion though about what people are using in place of the dixie cups (little green army men! cat toys!) It was pretty funny to read that. Oh yes, we will see what you think afterwards, I'm thinking you won't still be saying that it is pretty easy! These workouts so far all seem to be very different from any of her regular stuff. Even the step workout seems a lot different to me. I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out at the same time. It was good to get it all over with at once and I don't think it took any longer to recover. The only thing I remember about it is that we went to see a show the next night and I had to constantly drink a coke to keep my mouth from tasting like blood :confused:
I bought the tower from Amazon.com. It is the same tower that you get from Cathe (it even says Cathe on the box), but it was a lot cheaper. Check it out: Amazon.com: Altus Athletic Altus Turbo Tower: Sports & Outdoors
I'm going to try cleaning my disc first like Julie suggested and if it still freezes I will contact customer support for a new one.
Great job on Athletic training!

This morning I did Tracy Staehle High Intensity step mix. I just love that workout. Really tough but really fun. I am between rotations and haven't picked my next one yet, so I'm just trying some of the new workouts and having fun with some others that I haven't done in awhile. Last night we went to see the Rockette's Christmas Spectacular. It was so much run and boy are those ladies in shape. DH was just enjoying all of the legs  The cool part is that we got the tickets for free. I don't know if you are familiar with Yelp.com, but we use it all of the time and I always try to review places we go and things that we do because I really appreciate having all of the reviews. Well, I didn't even know this existed, but because of all of my reviews I got selected to be a Yelp elite member. We get invited to preview parties at new restaurants and get free tickets to events like this. It's pretty cool. Anyway, I need to get some work done now. Have a great day everyone. Cheryl, I hope you are enjoying the new DVDs!

Pam

This morning I did Turbo Barre. I was so tired this morning I really wanted to rest my head on the bar but as Cathe says “train with good posture”. Plus I may have fallen asleep that way. It is amazing how TB is a pretty long workout at 74 minutes but it goes by really fast.

Janie Hey two steps forward and one backwards still makes one forward so you are moving in the right direction. Here’s to hoping the degreaser and primer works. Glad you like the color of your floor even better in person. It is a gamble ordering online but it looks like it paid off this time!

Eunice Great job on Athletic Training! The first part really gets your heart rate up even though it is simple drill like moves. Afterburn is a really good one. In fact I have been putting that on my calendar every week because it is so good. The mountain climbers are the worst part for me. In fact, I dread the mountain climbers, spiderman climbers, and cross under kicks the most but not enough to make me avoid the workout entirely. That is too funny about the boobs comment! Well maybe not funny but I know what you mean. When I dropped down to my lowest weight ever, my boobs completely deflated and looked literally like deflated helium balloons a week after the birthday party. They were wrinkly and just ugly to look at. I have since put on a few extra pounds and my DH loves how they look now that they have filled out again. So now I have to work on finding that balance of the girls looking good and the rest of me looking good. I was put completely under when they removed all four of my wisdom teeth. I was only out for about 20 minutes or so.

Pam Great job on TS HIS! Not familiar with Tracy but I’m kind of a Cathe snob right now. I bet the Rockette’s show would be a fun one to see. I am always impressed with any kind of dancing probably because I have two left feet. I have heard of Yelp but never really used it. DH and I don’t go out to a lot of places because there isn’t a lot to do without a far drive. I do love reading reviews of products on Amazon so I fully appreciate people taking them time to give their opinion. It is cool that you are getting free stuff for doing something you already like doing anyway. Wow that bungee idea is good. I think I might I look into that. I didn’t have any freezing glitches on my TB disc. Hopefully cleaning yours will work. I guess I don’t know for sure that the dent in my arm is permanent. I stopped wearing the armband a week or so ago and I can still see wear the armband went. I’m hoping my arm goes back to normal.

Have a great day!

I just had to stop by and add that my "cheeks" are talking to me from that TB workout yesterday! Not failing the toilet test, but definitely feeling it!

Pam

Pam I changed my mind today when I was downloading the last WO I decided that I was going to do Total Body trisets, I did whole body one 86 min of it OMG that was something serious I did loved it though I need to make sure I ate good right before if I don't want to pass out, a lot of fun moves and Cathe did used the dixie cups I didn't have any so I was reaching the floor.. I hope I can feel it tomorrow this morning when I woke up I felt like some one kicked my sides, so nice and sore! Yuck! blood taste for a day or two, I'm going to pretend I'm soooo sick if I get to do it because DH say that he needs to be here to help me out with the girls and cooking hehehe I have to use every change I have to make him work!
I want to order the tower from amazon I saw that it was cheaper there. How can you haven't pick your next rotation? I think you are just having to much fun playing with the news dvd's. Good job doing HISM. What is the Rockette's Chritmas Spectacula? it sounds more like a fitness show when you say that those girls are in shape and those legs that your DH was enjoying! Do you do the review thingy kind of a job? some one here does it like that they go places review them and get their mine back, sounds like fun!

Julie I can picture you resting your head on the bar and snoozing maybe you didn't get a good night sleep, 74 min? where does Cathe gets all of those routines? crazy huh? OMG it is so funny with this boobs of mine, I'm a pretty flat chested anyways the only time they get big and I feel like a complete diff person is when I get pregnant they get sooo big you are right they look pretty funny all deflated and ugly! I have to do that one still I changed my mind and I did total body trisets NO premixes crazy, crazy, but I loved it. Ok 20 min out its not to bad.

Pam you are so funny!!! just to stop to let us know that your cheeks are talking to you!! good on you!

I went cuckoo today and I did the TotalBodyTrisets!! yes I needed to be crazy, I was thinking one more and I'll stop, but then I hear Cathe one more triset and we all done, ok I had to put my game face on and just do it, those planks with the kick backs, good one! step ups, down and lung, good one, back on the ball and one leg up, good one, the one leg squat with the dumbbells the ones putting the left dumbbell down then right then pick them up, good one! I love it!! very good job Cathe!!
I don't know why but today I felt a little down:( I called my mom and even she asked me why I was sad? I wasn't but I didn't feel all bubbly either. So that's why I went and did this WO, just change my thoughts for a little pain it was good.
Well have a good day.:D
