Strength in Numbers

Julie It sounds like you needed a good ultra lazy day so good for you. I love House, we haven't watched it in a long time though. Great job on PLB, hope you aren't failing the toilet test tomorrow!
I did the step add on with CSS which makes it right around an hour. The step add on wasn't what I was expecting though. I hadn't previewed it at all so I was expecting a regular step type workout, but that's not what it is at all. It's just more drills that use the step too.
Did you have a lot of trick or treaters? We had nasty hard rain but still got quite a few. Not as many as usual though and I had bought a lot of candy so we have a LOT left. Yuck. I'll have to take it to work and get rid of it.
That's funny that Maggie holds a grudge for awhile after her baths. They are so funny.
I agree with Cathe that those dragging planks were really hard so I'm very impressed that you didn't think so! I was quite happy when they were over!

This morning for me was Hiit 30/30 and med ball abs. DH had an early flight and I just didn't want to get up after he left so I was lying there telling myself I needed to get up soon and I moved my hand and it landed in a big wet spot! Butters went to the bathroom ON OUR BED while I was sleeping in it!!! What the heck!! That made me jump up and rip all the covers and sheets off and throw them in the washing machine. Luckily it didn't go all the way through to the mattress but now I'm worried. He has had issues with going in inappropriate places before but on our bed is unacceptable. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this issue? I don't think it's a medical issue because as I said, we've had kind've an ongoing battle with him. Just when I think it's over BAM, he does it again ERRRRRRRRR....After that I got to go to the dentist for a filling. Just a great start to the day today  Hopefully that means it will all be up from here! Have a great Tuesday/Wednesday everyone.

Pam

This morning I did Low Impact Challenge. It was fun but not Rhythmic Step fun. It has four combos and then you put all four combos plus the warm up combo together one time at the end. Finally it ends with about 10 minutes of blasts in the form of leg drills. The workout really goes by fast. The fourth combo is a little tricky with one of the last moves when you have your back to the TV. I couldn’t do it right during the break down but when it was put all together that step was no problem. Weird! I would definitely do this one again if it is in a rotation but I am not sure I would pick it on my own. Although I reserve the right to change my mind at a later date. :D

Pam Great job on 30/30 and MB abs! Especially after the crazy start of the morning you had. I think the sheer adrenaline rush from finding pee on my bed and having to clean it would have been enough of a workout for me. I don’t have any suggestions for Butters problem. Oscar had medical problems that caused him to urinate in the house and I don’t have any experience with cats. I like the older House episodes. The last couple seasons have been kind of weird for me. I’m not passing the toilet test with flying colors but am not failing miserably either. I think I would get a c+. We had maybe 15-20 trick or treaters. We live in a town of 400 people, most of whom are retirement age. I still have some candy left but not a ton. I can get away with buying 1 big bag and not having to worry about a lot left or running out. Hope your day gets better … lots better!

Have a great day everyone!

Janie So exciting to be picking out colors and bedding. I bet it will look gorgeous once you have it all done. MMA Kickbox isn't easy just one of the easier ones. I am going to try to do yoga 3 times a week too. I feel like I need it.

Eunice We will have a race to see who gets their DVDs first :D. I am hoping for Friday but we will see. I think I heard that Qantas is back at work so hopefully you will get your stuff soon. You have been doing really well on your program. 12 weeks without a break is a long time. I hope the school you moved Brandy to will count for her. That would be terrible if she had to repeat a grade. Too funny about your DH and the gym. Sounds like he was a bit jealous and wanted to let the other guys know you are taken ;).

Pam I had a sparkling house for a couple of hours. Having three cats they are always leaving cat hair somewhere . Good job on Cardio Supersets. Sounds like you had a fun weekend. Oh no Butters peed on your bed!!!!! Sorry but I have no ideas for you, all my cats do is throw up on it. Last night Tango brought up a fur ball on my housecoat while I was sleeping :(. Good job on 30/30 and med ball abs. I hope your day got better.

Julie Sometimes you have to be lazy. Wow 10 hours of cleaning . I though my 4 hours was a lot. You can try one of the timesaver workouts just to get something in. Good job on Low Impact Challenge.

For me I did yoga on Sunday, Monday was 30/30 and med ball abs (same as you Pam) and today was STS Disk 22. Almost finished Meso 2. I didn't get a chance to post yesterday since it was Halloween. We had 170 kids and we ran out of candy. Our neighbour said that they had around 200 so I guess we will have to buy more for next year. It was great weather cold but at least it didn't rain. I stand outside with the rest of the neighbours and hand out the candy. It is a lot of fun because everyone in is out having fun.

Have a great Wednesday everyone.

Cheryl

PamIm so sad, NO DVD's yet:( and we don't get mail till Friday and the downloads I don't want to get them until I get my new laptop which my in-law mailed yesterday so until next week I'm going to be getting something I hope.. Well let me tell you that DH is being acting weird I don't know why but now he is being saying that "we don't have friends" "we are not approachable people" and on, on, on, I think is because he sees his cousins on FB having party's and having fun, I really do not feel that need but I don't know him:confused: Yes, I'm planning to bake his cake and hope he get to get in a better mood. It looks that the detox diet you got it wasn't a good one, mine still pretty good, week and a half to go yay!! Oh I'm loving my belly more than ever the high carb day its a little harder than the low day so I really enjoy my 3 days of low carb.:D DH its going to get his morning coffee only weekends no, I'm not going to spoil him as much as yours:p I know we are still waiting to hear from the other school, it is a private too not as much expensive as the one she is attending now which was $11000.00 that's how much the embassy pay for the year and we pay $3000.00 for trips, year book, school supplies. The new school is half of that;) I don't know why he was quiet, when I ask he say "no I'm not" I don't know I think he is getting his period or something. Your DH travels a lot. Have you tried the workout that the girls on FB were talking bad about? Good job doing cardio supersets, I'm glad to hear that it was a good one. Oh so it is the time on the year were you start working on stained glass, what are you doing now?

Julie I would love to have one of those day ultra-lazy day, but now with the weather it is not fun well not as much fun when its cold, with all that cleaning I'm sure that you deserved to have that day off, good job doing PLB what rotation are you doing? its your own rotation? Thanks, yeas I'm very proud of my self for keeping up with the plan I'm loving it so much, I saw really good results I haven't weight my self yet but I'm pretty sure that with all that food I was eating and all the month with out cardio I finally lost the last 10pounds I was having trouble. If not then I gain a lot more muscle because I'm feeling really good about my self. School its another story a lot of paper work, and I really hate it, but we have to do what we have to do, right? Well I can't wait to get mine dvd's:D You are right about watching our selfs on the mirror, you better be careful doing cardio, you don't want to get injure or anything like that. So nice that now you have a nice and clean Maggie funny dogs you have to love them, I love that at night when Sam is on his bed I'll go and hug and kiss and squish and he let me do it, he doesn't even move he just stay still breathing hard, so cute.
Pam good job doing 30/30 I was doing that one during week 9 and 10 for my cardio, instead of doing sprints I was scare of trying to do the sprints on the treadmill having it at full speed then jumping out of the running band then get in was a challenge for me because I'd have never try that before, but last week I thought about trying one more time so I did and I did like it so that's new that's what I'm doing right now for cardio. 30/30 0r 40/20 at the speed of 13.2K I don't know how that would be on miles.
I don't know what to say about Butters problem, that would had have my HR going crazy. I can picture you running out of bed and doing the laundry:p

Julie LIC its a new one? agggg! well you have fun while I'm here crying over mine. Sounds like it was a fun one. Now you and Pam be careful to not to eat all that left over candy, DH took Stacy and Rachel to get candy, so funny one of the neighbors asked the girls how, or where I was and Stacy told them "my mom is doing diet" thanks Stacy!lol

Well yesterday I had a busy day doing groceries the girls were at home so it was like Saturday, then after lunch I went to the gym with DH it was packed not fun:( so I did back and sprints, today I did chest and sprints, all high reps, having fun I'll post one of my pictured that I took one morning when I was feeling so happy because of my belly being happy.
Have a good day everyone.

Julie Great job on LIC. I was happy to hear that you didn't jus totally struggle with it like some of the folks on FB. It sounds like you need to learn that last combo and once you do it will be fine. I know Amy Bento is awful at cuing, but her workouts are really fun once you learn them. Sorry to hear that it doesn' t have the fun factor though. I was hoping for another Rhythmic step! I guess I am just going to have to try it out soon!
Oh yea, I was ready to kill Butters yesterday morning. I just can't figure it out. I have usually been able to attribute it to some kind of stress, but I have not been able to figure out any stress he was under yesterday morning! ERRRRRR! Now I'm worried because we are going out of town this weekend and that does tend to stress them both out.
I haven't seen any of the recent house seasons. We used to record it but our DVR went on the blink and once we got our new one we never started recording it again. C+ on the toilet test isn't too bad. Enough to know you had a good workout, but no pregnant lady waddle! I have a lot of candy left from Halloween. Last year I almost ran out so I got a lot more this year and then we had a lot fewer kids because of the weather. I'd say we had maybe 30-40.
Cheryl I know that feeling of always having cat hair somewhere! That and hairballs are always fun to find huh? Butters also has really leaky eyes so we have the added bonus of brown eye juice getting on things, just lovely  :rolleyes:Our cats at least usually throw up their fur balls on the floor, but they typically pick one of the nice rugs instead of the hardwood floors  Too bad we can't train them!
Great job on yoga and 30/30 and med ball abs. Funny that we had the same workout! Wow, 170 kids is incredible! That is the way it used to be for us when I was growing up, just one after another. Now they are far enough apart that I would get back to working on dinner just in time for the next group to arrive

Eunice I hope that your DVDs arrive soon, but will you be able to do them when they come of do you need to wait until you are finished with the program? I don't blame you on waiting on the downloads until your new computer comes. It sounds like that will be very soon though, how exciting! It sounds like your DH is just gong through a little funk. I te like that sometimes too. I was all in a funk last week when I found out my DH was going back to Australia and I was going to be alone for another weekend, especially since I had to cancel a bunch of plans. That's why we are going to Charleston this weekend because I told him I needed to have some fun! :D Hopefully it won't last long. You have me wondering if I should look at Jamie's program. I don't really want to lose weight, but I like the idea of getting my belly under control. I can tell when I get up in the morning by looking at my belly whether my weight will be up or down. When I'm doing my wos I always look at Cathe and the crew and wonder how they can have such flat bellies!! I think I would be the opposite of you though and enjooy the high carb days more. I really like my carbs! Of course I like my proteins too
WOW, High school sure is expensive, that is crazy! It's more than we are paying for college tuition! The supplies seem really expensive too.
I haven't done the workout that Tricia and some of the other folks on FB said had bad cuing, but that is the one that Julie just did and it sounds like she didn't have nearly as hard a time with it so that was good to hear. I think I may try to practice the last combo before I try to do the workout, we'll see....
I am doing 3 windows for the transoms in my living room. I got all of the stuff last winter but then never got around to doing them. I have one completely finished and the other two all cut out and foiled and ready to solder so they will be done in no time. Of course I'm not sure when I'll work on them again. We are leaving for Charleston tomorrow morning and coming back on Sunday, so probably not till the next weekend when DH is gone on a golf trip.

Oh sprints on the treadmill are a little scary, I'm always a little worried that I will go flying off the back of the treadmill! I think I've seen too many of those on those America's funniest video shows! You shouldn't jump out of the running band though, can't you just quickly turn the speed down? Oh it was NO fun at all jumping out of bed to do laundry
I hate going to the gym when it is packed. That is why I always hated January because it was always so full of people who made New Year's resolutions to workout. Of course by February it is always back to normal.... Great job on your back, chest and sprints! I can't wait to see your pictures!

This morning for me was Muscle Endurance. I don't really do that one very often but it went by fast and I got a good burn. I am still having to drop my weights for the shoulder work, my right shoulder just doesn't want to lift anything heavy. I think I'm going to get myself a wheeled computer case! Anyway, have a great day ladies!

Pam

This morning I did Total Body Trisets Upper Body Split. It is very fast paced and you definitely need to lift lighter than you would think you can. I cannot keep up with the pushups. I can do them all but I have to go slower than they do or if I start earlier, I finish at the same time. The dive bomber pushups are ones I definitely modified. It is weird but I was actually able to do regular tricep pushups but not the modified dive bombers. It is a good workout but really different than most weight workouts I choose to do. It might be similar in style to Supersets but it has been a long time since I last did that one.

Cheryl Great job on yoga and 30/30 plus MB Abs and then on disc 22! Wow! 170 kids is a lot. Well compared to my 20 kids we get each year. I know what you mean about pet hair. I swept up a pile of dog hair that could have easily made a shoulder length wig for someone. I don’t understand how Maggie isn’t bald with all the hair she sheds. On top of that we shampooed the carpet and got even more hair up! Sometimes I think having one of those hairless dogs would be nice but then it kind of creeps me out too.

Eunice Great job on getting to the gym to do back and sprints and then chest and sprints! It’s great that this plan is working out for you and you are enjoying it. I hope the scale shows what you want but even if it doesn’t it seems like you are so much happier with how you look and feel that it would be ok if you didn’t lose as much as you hoped. I can’t wait to see a picture of your happy belly!! I do like having ultra-lazy days in the colder months which it is starting to get. Soon it will be snowing and I will be enjoying lazy day Sunday with a big pot of hot tea. I am doing the March 2006 rotation from Cathe. It was a strength building rotation. I have been swapping in some of the new workouts now that I have them. So sorry you don’t have them yet. Maybe that is a blessing in disguise though since you need to finish out this 12 week program.

Pam Great job on ME! That is one that goes by pretty fast but I always count down the leg presses. I think there are 6 sets in that one. I bet carrying your computer case on your shoulder is affecting your weight lifting. The rolling case sounds like a good idea. Probably will be less stress on your back too. I will admit on LIC, I watched it the night before I did it. I think that really helped. Those that are having problems may not be watching it before trying it. I really didn’t think Cathe’s cueing was any different that past videos. It was fun just not Rhytmic Step fun. My smile wasn't quite as big when it was over as it is when I finish RS. Do you give your kittis free roam of the whole house when you leave? I hope Butters can control his bladder this weekend.

Have a great day!

Eunice I don't have my DVDs yet either. Maybe we will both get them on Friday!!!! Good job on your chest and back work and your sprints. Too bad the gym was so busy. That is why I like to workout at home so I don't ahve to worry about that.

Pam I was thinking about the problem you are having with Butters and later I remembered that we had the same problem with Taylis peeing where he shouldn't. He seemed to do it if he was mad about something. Like when we dog sat Davis and there were a couple of times his litter box wasn't up to snuff. Have you changed anything or done anything different that might be bothering him? I saw that you posted that he does this when he is stressed. Those hairballs are fun to find especially on my housecoat . I don't know what it is about them having to throw up on carpet and not the tile floor. For Halloween next year we are going to have to get enough candy for over 200 kids. Our neighbour had more candy than we did and that is how many they had. Good work on Muscle Endurance. I like that one but I don't do it very often either.

Julie Good job on Total Body Trisets Upper Body Split. Oh no.....more push ups . The dive bomber pushups are always hard. I think 20 kids is good for the small town you live in. Next year we will have to get enough of at least 200. I was talking to one lady from work and she said that she gets 400 every year. Now that's a lot. Instead of the hairless dogs you could get one that has hair instead of fur. I heard that they don't shed anywhere near as much.

Well for me it was a day off. I will be back at it tomorrow with Disk 23 Legs.

Have a great Thursday everyone.

Cheryl

Cheryl I think so too, we are playing a race, I hope I get mine this friday if not we'll see, anyways I cannot do anything else till I'm done with the trainer. Yeap 12 weeks training I think I'm going to take a week of light workout or maybe a complete rest then will see. Good job doing yoga on Sunday then 30/30 and abs and disc 22 wow you are almost done with meso 2 that is awesome. Wow that's a lot of kids, did you count them?:p

Pam I love house too, of course its being a year since we watch any of the shows... Poor Butters he almost got killed:p When I get my dvd's I think I'm just going to review them until am done with the trainer.:D Tell me about it DH its going through a BIG funk big time and I really don't like that it make me feel uncomfortable because I don't want to go to Bunko night anymore but he say I should keep going just to prove that I'm not unfriendly ... Awww so sorry that you are going to get another weekend by your self:( I'm glad at least you are going to Charleston this weekend, did you move it oh this is the day you guys are supposed to go? Of course you need to have some fun:D I think if you want to you can absolutely do the diet if you don't want to do the exercises I'm very happy surprise with the results, that I'm planing (I think) after I finish I'll take a week off then go back to phase 2 with diet and all that stuff... Oh you should see some of the girls that don't have babies and have being doing the program OMG their stomach its amazing, amazing flat, beautiful stomach! I do love my carbs too, but for some reason they burn out to fast and I get hungry often. I'm glad that Julie did the workout that the girls on FB said it was bad, I think its all about the body being ready to respond I don't think I'd have that much trouble picking Cathie's step she is great!! I bet the the work you are doing its going to be pretty;) Well have fun this weekend I know you know how to do that!
Sprints are very scary I know that it took me a while to attempt them I started slow then little by little I'm increasing the speed and you are right I don't want to be like one of those america's funniest videos, turning quickly the speed that's what I was doing but there is not funI get bored real fast, I found out that I have to engage my whole core to jump on the treadmill and I can tell when its time ti stop too. That is so funny that people who made new years resolutions are the one at the gym around January and February!
Good job doing ME I love that one, oh that shoulders still bothering you? take care:D

Julie Good job doing Total Body Trisets Upper Body Split, sounds like a fun one, you are very busy trying all the new workouts huh? good girl. You are so funny getting worried about not keeping up with Cathe and the crew doing the pushups, I'm still doing mine on the knees if I want to do them at their same speed. (and its easy too) I can do the bomber pushups maybe not as pretty as they do but still, yesterday I was doing chest circuit and the last workout was pushups OMG I felt flat on my chest doing the last one, my chest, triceps are sooo sooore today! I did bench press 20 reps with 50lb it was hard I was shaking but I say "one more" and I did it.
You are right if the scale doesn't show me some love it doesn't matter because I feel better now. hmmm so fun enjoy your cold weather with a super, duper lazy day watching movies and drinking tea:D Oh even if I get the new dvd's I can wait, I will just review them.

CherylMaybe we will get them at the same day.... fingers cross! I'm having so much fun working out at the gym all by my self I think I get a little greedy. good for you for having the day off.

Today I did biceps/triceps and core I was supposed to do 40min cardio, but I think last Monday I pulled a muscle on my leg my left quad and last night I was having a lot of pain I was walking like a pregnant women so I put some hot compresses and put some ointment for sore muscles and I decided that today I was going to skipped the cardio. I was feeling it yesterday while running but not to to bad I guess because the muscle was warm but when it cooled of OMG that was painful so today I took Sam for a walk instead he had fun ..
All those high reps are killing me every morning I get up well let me fix that I hardly get up from bed I'm so sore.
Today I did 3 sets of 20 reps of 9 diff moves with out taking a rest and my biceps are dyeing in a good way of course, so tomorrow I'll do shoulders and the sprints.. Pictures I'm still trying to figure how to do that because I cannot download from my ipod, maybe next week I'll post them, I don't want to share yet on my FB page maybe when I'm done.
Well ladies have a great day!!:D

Hi ladies, just a quick check in because we are getting packed and hitting the road. Did plyo legs disc 29 this morning so I wouldn't feel quite as guilty about taking a few days off! I hope everyone has a good weekend and I'll check in when I can!

Pam

This morning I did Cycle Max. I was still having some DOMS in my hamstrings and inner thighs so I was worried how I would do and feel. Turns out Cycle Max gets the DOMS out. My legs feel pretty good right now. I also sweated up a storm and dropped my towel halfway through so I had to go the second half dripping with no way to towel off.

Cheryl Hope you rested up for disc 23 legs today! All the pushups in TBT Upper Body are hard. The first kind is walking/soldier pushups. So you do a pushup and then when you lift the right arm and left leg at the top of the pushup; then repeat with the left arm right leg. I don’t know what is wrong with me but I was getting confused and lifting the same side arm and leg. That obviously doesn’t work to well and you end up losing your balance. Then you do pushups where you cross your right leg over the left when you are going down. Those are crazy hard. I can’t get my foot all the way over so I just tap my heel. I have heard poodles and labradoodles don’t shed much. I didn’t really know that there were dogs that had hair instead of fur.

Eunice Great job on bis/tris/core! Even better, great job on listening to your body and skipping the cardio. I know that must have been hard for you because I am the same way and would want to push through the pain so I am very impressed and proud of you. Plus, Sam got some time with you and some cardio in for him. I’m trying to do a few of the new workouts each week. I think this week, I’ll have gotten 3 new ones in by the end of the week. Next week, I’ll try to do a few more newbies. I was very tempted to go to my knees on the pushups but decided to go for it and rewind if I had to. 50 lb. bench press is great for 20 reps! LOL on falling flat on your chest at the end of the pushups. I have been there, done that. I was doing a pushup challenge in the spring and remember at the end of the last set, I would fall to floor and lay there for about a minute before crawling into a fetal position. Crazy how a move that looks so simple can be so exhausting!

Pam Great job on plyo legs! Enjoy your mini vacation and make sure to have lots of fun for all of us.

Janie Hope you are having fun and getting a lot done at the Beach House. Check back with us when you get time.

Have a great day!

We are working too hard at our beach house. My legs are sooo sore! Talk about DOM's. Remind me, it's a good thing, right? With older houses you seem to keep finding things that need fixing. Seems Every couple of steps we take forward there is an opsticle that sets us back a step. But we're getting there. The people who put this one together must of had a nail/staple party because we are still pulling them up. I got all the nails out of the walls and ceilings, used bleach on the floors with dark areas, and started doing the walls with this solution. I guess I had it a little strong, cause my eyes started getting irritated a little. Sleeping in the motor home was much better this time, had a nice pillow and made everything comfy. The next day continued on until I just exhausted and literally couldn't do any more. Joey is like a energizer bunny and kept going and going. I finally told him I've had it and need to get back to Shelton. Oh, and the smell is getting better and better as we clean.

Rode my bike to the beach (only took a few minutes) to get some fresh air and there was not a soul on the place. I've never in my life have gone to the beach and no one was there. An eerie feeling, but it was all mine at that moment. I went up on a sand dune and could see the earths curvature! I've never seen that before. So breathtaking. This is what it's all about.

Cheryl, Sounds like you deserve your day off. Have a fantastic one. I sure hope you will receive your DVD's soon.

Eunice, Great job on biceps, triceps and core. Oh so sorry to hear that your quad is hurting. No fun for sure. If you have a roller, that will help you tremendously. Glad to see you are listening to your body and left out the cardio today.

Pam, Rolly peed on my bed while I was in it, when we first got him. Could be stress. Not sure why they do it. Hope you get an answer. Great job on plyo legs disc 29. Where are you traveling to?

Julie, Great job on Cycle Max. I find sometimes that DOM's loosen up while I'm exercising. But after, they come back. LOL:confused: I simply love a sweaty workout. Good job girl!

Have a great day everyone,

Janie

Eunice I hope you get your DVDs tomorrow. It is so hard reading about them and not being able to do them yourself. Good work on biceps, triceps and core. Smart to not do cardio since you were in pain. Sometimes a rest is better than pushing it.

Pam Enjoy your mini vacation. Good for you for doing disc 29. Check in when you can.

Julie Good workout with Cycle Max. Sounds like it is a good workout but one I didn't get. I just don't have the room for a spin bike. I have a hard time keeping my balance with walking pushups even if I am lifting the opposite arm and leg . I wonder where Cathe gets all of her push up ideas . Our neighbours got a labradoodle in August. They are allergic but not to him. He is the cutiest thing too. Another one of our neighbours has a poodle mix and he has hair too. When they have hair you have to take them in for grooming about every six weeks to get the hair trimed.

Janie Wow you sure are doing a lot of work but it will be so worth it in the end. Nice to have the beach to yourself. I am sure the summer will be totaly different.

I knew I should have got my butt out of bed to do my leg workout this morning instead of waiting until tonight. There was a really bad accident tonight which blocked off lanes on the freeway so people had to find alternative ways home which put a lot more traffic on the roads in our area. It took longer to get home and then by the time dinner was done and the dishes done it was too late to do it. I did manage to do segment 1 of stetch max though so at least I did something.

Have a great Friday. Maybe my disks will arrive tomorrow!!!!!

Cheryl

PamHave a fantastic time, can't wait to hear how was it;)

Julie Good job doing cycle max, I think your DOMS love to get tortured that's why you feel better afterwards, I love when I get all sweaty. Good job Tell me about it it was real hard not to finish my workout like I was supposed too, but I knew that my quad would get worse if I didn't get it to rest but now I'm better, so much better. So funny falling flat on the floor, wow you are awesome doing all the pushups on your toes, I bet your arm are looking hot!! I crawled to get to my notes but there was one guy in the gym so I couldn't stay on the floor for a min:eek: but I'm sure I looked funny. Have you see the STS LIC rotation for Nov? it looks good, to bad that I haven't get my dvd's yet!

JanieYou are busy working on that house, funny that the other people had a nail/staple party and now you have to clean their mess, crazy people I would say! Well I guess that's alright when you guys get to finish the whole project your house its going to be beautiful, good that the smell its gone one thing less to worry. My quad its a lot better now thanks!

Cheryl No dvd's yet:( have you? OMG last night I was coming from town and there was an petrol truck accident too, I don't have a phone to call DH to let him know so I had to go to the person in front of us to ask for a favor, well anyways my 10min trip turned into 1:30 long to get home, I followed another car that was going into base too, very scary:confused:At least you got something done. My leg got better!!

Today I did workout at home I did shoulders/calves OMG my upper body its so sooo sore from all this week workout, I thought I was going to have trouble doing shoulders, I had a nice warm sensation on my muscles though, then I did Cardio Fusion for my cardio I did the whole thing OMG I forgot how hard was that one but it was just perfect.
Well no dvd's yet hopefully Monday:( tomorrow I have cardio only then one more week and I'm done with the 12 week trainer yayay!!! I'll post pictures as soon as I get my computer;)Have a nice weekend ladies

This morning I did Total Body Trisets Lower Body Split! It was a really good, fun workout. I didn’t use anything for the Dixie cup exercises. I just made sure my fingertips touched the floor. The only exercise I didn’t enjoy was the last one—the glute roll-in on the stability ball. I just hate those. Since it is only 40 minutes, I tacked on shoulders, triceps, and biceps from Pyramid Upper Body. Now I feel really worked out.

Janie Whoo Hoo for DOMS! Yes I think they are a good thing. You are probably working your muscles in ways that regular weight training can never do. Hope your eyes are going better from the chemicals. That can be frustrating. Kind of like when you cut an onion and start crying. LOL about Joey being the energizer bunny. DH calls me that when we do big projects. He is always wanting to take breaks and finish early and I’m like “no, let’s keep going and get this done.” Next time you go to the beach, you should take some pictures. I bet it is just gorgeous and serene up there.

Cheryl That really stinks when there is traffic issues. I hate that and one of my biggest complaints during the summer when it seems every road has construction work being done. You have to go at a creepy, crawly pace and it takes twice the time to get home. Good job for getting stretch max in there. Stretching is very important and one I never make time to do. I really need to get better at that. I don’t know where Cathe gets her pushup ideas from but whoever it is can keep them to themselves! That makes sense now that dogs with hair would need to get haircuts but dogs with fur would just shed. Funny how I have been a dog lover for so long and never knew that!

Eunice Great job on shoulders/calves and the Cardio Fusion! Oh yes, that one is so hard but so much fun. I always forget that Drill Max is in there. So when you get done with Body Max 2 and Low Impact Circuit, I think I’m done and then the drills start up! I like getting sweaty during my workouts too but if I’m not working out, I hate it. My arms do look better than they did a year ago but I still have a lot of work to do with my shoulders. Maybe I should take up skiing like Pam! Too funny you crawling to get your notes. I have done that but I work out alone at home so no one can see me. I did see the LIS/STS rotatio Cathe put up. I'm thining of working on a full STS rotation with LIS using that rotation as a guide. I bet it would be a really good one to do.

Have a great day!

I am so bummed. I thought I would have the new DVDs by now :(. Maybe I will get them on Monday? Anyway I did get up early this morning and did Disk 23 Legs. I am really feeling it now.

Eunice I usually have my DVDs by now. Well maybe Monday will be our day. At least I was only about 20 minutes late last night but even that throws your whole evening off. Good work on your shoulders, calves and Cardio Fusion. Way to go with sticking with the program for 12 weeks.

Julie Good job on your Total Body Trisets Lower Body Split. I don't like the glute roll ins either, but I grit my teeth and do them because I know they do work. I hate it when there are traffic issues too. I still need to get more stretching and yoga in as well. Patiently waiting for the DVDs....
I only know about dogs getting haircuts because there are several people around us who have dogs with hair. Otherwise I never really thought about it.

Have a great Saturday everyone.

Cheryl

Joey and I did TBS, abs and stretching. I felt some energy today so did Turbo Bar. Oh My Lord! Loved it, but man I can tell I will have some serious DOM's. Every now and then I had cramps in my butt. LOL I just layed off a little and continued on when I felt better. I didn't have enough strength left for a stretch, which I needed badly. I'm afraid of LI Challenge Step Aerobics, it looks too fast. Eventually I'll get around to it. Very Scary.

Cheryl, So sorry you didn't get your DVD's yet. (((((hugs))))). I think your right when you say during the Summer I won't have the beach to myself.:( Oh well, maybe we will meet some nice people. Good job on Stretch Max it is better than nothing. Remember stretches are just as important as exercising or cardio. Good for you.

Eunice, It's just an expression about the nails and staples, because there were so many in the carpet/floor to get out. Sorry I confused you, but you may be right about them being crazy.LOL;) Did you have a roller to put on the quad muscle? Glad it's feeling better. Great job on shoulders/calves and Cardio Fusion. Getting stronger is wonderful, isn't it?:) You must be changing your body faster these days, with all the work and DOM's you are experiencing. Good for you!

Julie, Great job on TBT Lower Body Split, and PUB shoulders, triceps and biceps.. The new workout looks awesome, I may do that one next. Especially if there is a fun factor in it. Joey is always that way. Want to also get the job done. I too, but man, I just couldn't do any more and that was that.:confused:LOL I'll try to take some photos, but our rain has come. Will try to get a good day in for pictures.

Cheryl, Wishing you luck on the DVD to arrive on Monday. (fingers crossed). Great job on Disc 23 legs this morning. I bet you are feeling it! Good going.

Janie

This morning I did some steady state spinning for 60 minutes and then I did chest and back from Pyramid Upper Body. Yesterday was kind of a hard day. I got a call that Oscar’s urn was ready to be picked up and the final results of his autopsy were in. His urn is pretty nice. It is just a plain oak box but still nicer than I expected. They also included his paw print in clay. It was sweet and sad. We found out that what was causing all of his problems was that he had pancreatic cancer. It is supposedly the worst cancer since by the time symptoms start showing up it is too late and the cancer has spread throughout most of the body. Also, they said even if it is caught early, chemo and radiation therapies are ineffective in killing off the cancer. Poor baby was probably in so much pain and we never knew. :( I have to say though that it is a relief to have his urn and the results in. We are leaving for FL today for a week. My mom wants help cleaning out her mother’s house (the one that died this summer). So we are driving down to Georgia tonight and staying the night and then driving the rest of the way to Tampa tomorrow. I will try to post when I can but I am not sure my grandma’s house has an internet connection.

Cheryl Bummer on those DVDs but great job on getting disc 23 done! I bet the people in Customs are doing the workouts and that is what is taking so long!! I am gritting my teeth right there with you on any leg work on the stability ball. I don’t know why they are so hard but yes they do get you. I was actually expecting more DOMS from the lower body TBT workout because everyone has been saying the Dixie cup lunges really get you deep in the glute. I don’t feel much in my glute but my quads feel sore.

Janie Great job on TBS, abs, and stretching and then Turbo Barre! That is awesome that you got one of the new ones in. I am going to try that one soon so I will be on the lookout for a sore tushy! Total Body Trisets is fun but beware it goes fast. I would just have the remote handy to pause so you can take a little breather. I think the Lower body one moves slower than the Upper body one. Well, pace yourself if you go back to work at the Beach House.

Have a great day!

Just finished Yoga Relax. I love this! Also used my roller on my butt. Feels so much better now. Whew! Will be going to the beach house either Mon. or Tues. and spend the night.

Julie, My whole body is sore! But that's good. I love Turbo Barre. It reminds me of a workout I did many years ago, called Callanetics by Callan Pinckney from (I think) 1989. Many instructors to this day use those same moves. Amazing! Thanks for the tip on TBT as being fast. Oh Boy! Great job on steady state spinning for 60 min. and chest and back from PUB. I'm glad now that you can be put to rest on what happen to Oscar. (((((hugs))))). Poor little guy. You did the very best you could, and if he could have told you how he felt, he would of. I can imagine how wonderful his urn looks. Try to enjoy yourself in FL.

Janie

Janie Butt cramps that is too funny LOL. I am looking forward to Turbo Bar and I will probably get them too. Good job on yoga relax too. I am bummed that I didn't get my DVDs yet but in the Open Discussion I think only one person has received them in Canada so far.

Julie {{{HUGS}}} It is so nice that they do a paw print along with the urn. At least you know now what Oscar was dealing with. My brother's cat died at the end of June from pancreatic cancer. He was told the same thing that when they know what it is it is too late to do anything about it.
Post if you get a chance.

Pam/Eunice I hope both of you are having a great weekend.

Today was Disk 24 Back and Biceps, this was the last workout of Meso 2. As next week is my rest week I was hoping for the new DVDs so I could try them out. I guess I have to be patient but it is hard. I also raked up leaves today and got the boys out for some fresh air.

Cheryl

Julie great job on TBT UB the other day, especially doing all of the push ups! It doesn't matter if you go a little slower. It sounds like you were still pretty close to their pace! I have a terrible time with both dive bombers and triceps pushups! I'm impressed that you could do regular triceps pushups!
Oh yes, there are a lot of leg presses in M E. i'malways happy when we get to the third round of them since it means the workout is almost over!
I'm glad to hear that LIC is not so bad too, I may try to fit it in this week sometime.
The cats have free roam of most of the house. We always get the rooms upstairs and the guest bedroom closed, but they go everywhere else. I am hoping he has been a good boy while we've been gone

Cheryl booooooo, I sure hope you get your DVDs soon! It must be hard reading about everyone else doing them while you are still waiting.
I can't think of anything that would've caused Butts issue so I'm hoping it was just a fluke. The first time we had a problem with him was when I tried a new kind of litter. Bad move! Then when he's had bad pink eye a couple of times it has happened I think sometimes when he is mad at us too. The only thing I could think of that day was that Doug had gotten up at 4:30 to leave for the airport. Butters likes to crawl up and snuggle with him when he drinks his coffee in the morning, so maybe that was the problem... I wish they coul tell us! Yes a hairball on the robe would be no fun at all!

Eunice[/] I don't blame you not wanting to go to Bunco, I hot that way with it too. It is supposed to be fun and if you dread going then there is something wrong! Have you gotten your DVDs yet? I hope so! Maybe the timing will work out perfectly for finishing the program!
Tell DH that we all know that you are very friendly! I saw the picture you posted on fb of the girl with the amazing abs and I thought it was you! I was ady to start Jamie's program right then!
Great job on 50 pound bench presses!!also on your biceps/triceps and core and taking the cardio off when you we hurt! I know that can be hard to do!

Julie great job on CM! What a nice bonus that it helped your DOMS too. That's a bummer about losing your towel though, I think I would've had to jump off and retrieve it!

Janie wow, great job on all of your hard work at the beach house, i can't wait to see the results! It is sounding wonderful! Tha tis pretty funny about all of the nails and staples, makes you wonder what the heck was goingon with those people huh? I'm glad that you took comfy pillows and had a better sleep. It makes all the difference!
I think it's pretty cool being the only person on the beach,it just seeforgo peaceful!

Eunice great job on shoulders, calves and CF! That one is a toughie!

Julie great job on TBT LB and shoulder, triceps, biceps!

Janie WOW, great job on TBS, abs, stretching AND turbo barre! I've been hearing that one is suyou're ouch!

Julie, Great job on Steady state spinning and chest and back from PUB! I'msure that was tough getting the newsaboutOscar, but hopefully somewhat comforting knowing what was going on. Poor little guy. Hownicethatyou got his paw print.

Cheryl[/ B] congratulations on finishing meso 2! I hope the new workouts arrive soon so you can enjoy them during your active recovery week!

Janie great job on yoga relax and rolling your butt:p glad to hear it's feeling better!

We are still in Charleston but heading home today. I'm a little afraid of the scale in the morning because we have been eating, eating and eating! This is a real foodie town, there are so many great restaurants and if course the southern food isn't exactly low fat or calorie! It sure is good though! We have been doing a lot of walking so hopefully that will help a little. We toured Ft Sumpter yesterday which was really interesting. There is so much history here with the slave trade and the civil war. All the stuff I learned in school and forgot  it's a Grest place though, we will come back! Here everyone is having a great weekend!
