Strength in Numbers

This morning I did Gym Styles Chest & Triceps and then 15 minutes of Ab Circuits. I must not have gotten good sleep last night because I had to decrease my weights on the triceps work. :( That was really frustrating since my triceps are one of the areas I want to focus on strengthening. I would like to blame it on the fact that I did all 72 pushups on my toes but I doubt that is the reason. :rolleyes:

Cheryl Great job on MMA Fusion! :eek::eek:TURTLE SPINS!!!!! I don’t know what it is about those that just make me smile. Yea that ball work is nasty in Gym Styles. It shows up again in Pyramid Lower Body but it is not quite as bad. I do feel my cheeks (you know the ones I’m talking about!) screaming at me today. My hamstrings are also tight so I know I am going to have to take time to do stretches. I can’t wait to start doing the new workouts but it is just figuring out how to incorporate them in my current rotation.

Janie Wow that is a long wait for the vet! I’m sure he will be ok especially if he is chewing on a bone and you get some teeth brushing in. I remember those days of home improvement from earlier this year. Looking at all the options and styles is very overwhelming and exhausting. Swiss Coffee sounds like a very nice neutral color. It will pretty much go with anything which is nice. Blue is my favorite color so the denim carpet sounds pretty. Can't wait to see pictures when it is all done! :D

Pam I understand about the DVDs having a certain feeling over the downloads. I was pretty bummed that my DVDs were not at the post office last night when I got my mail. Hopefully tonight they will be there. Great job on plyo legs and those 30 ½ turn jumps! I think Cardio Supersets has weighted ¼ turn squats using the disks. I’m hoping those are easier but something tells me hope springs eternal. :p I did preview CM on Sunday but I don’t remember it enough to know what is coming. I’ll report back tomorrow on how I like CM. Right now my legs are crying from GS Legs so I hope another night’s rest will help them recover.

Hello my girls!!!! How you guys being doing?? so sorry that I haven't be able to post, last week DH was playing with the computer cleaning it with the vacuum and he killed the computer, so yes we don't have a desk computer anymore, it wasn't that old we got it just before we left to AS, so anyways I thought that I would use Brandy's lop-top but I have being sooooo busy yesterday I was dead tired I'm doing the last 3 weeks of the 12 week trainer and we are doing the carb cycle I have with today 3 days on the low carb 20% carb 25% fat 55% protein so I literally I'm flat the first 2 days I was fine but today I got up feeling like drunk or with a hangover very slow moving down here!! LOL
Anyways you guys are busy, a lot going on I read some of the posts not all of them, I hope I can be here every day from now on, will see....
Something else, this Friday is our 10th Anniversary and DH got me a MacBook Pro I can't wait to get it and that one DH is not touching it, OH NO way!!!! Also I saw that you guys got the new dvd's and downloads I haven't get anything I was looking for my purchase confirmation to see if I have a code in there I couldn't find it I did email support @ cathie I hope I can get mine soon too, not to to worry since I don't have a computer just yet but I hope it get here soon both, my lop-top and my new Cathie workouts..
Today very, very hardly but I did:eek: chest/shoulders/abs and I'm about to go to the gym to do sprints I was feeling it today... I'm pretty sore I have being going to the gym every day to to the weights WO, I'm loving it, working by my self like always...

Well, got almost to the beach house when Joe realized he didn't bring the keys to it. I sat there stunned and eventually told him, it's OK. But, what if it was me who forgot the key? Yeah. Later decided to go to the beach and have fun. And that we did. I think forgetting the keys was great. We explored our beach a longer way and we didn't encounter a living soul. We danced, freed Rolly (should have seen him enjoy himself:eek:). Had ssooooooooooo much fun. Joey decided that only thing he could do was cut down some limbs that were threatening our power line. He went home (beach house) to do that and I decided to walk home. It only took maybe 5 min. to get home. How lucky we are to have such a wonderful environment. We are so blessed. We went back to Shelton to get a good nights sleep and will try again tomorrow. Hopefully we can get some things done and be back Thur. or Fri.

Pam,Great job on disc 26 plyo legs. That one is a toughie. You did really good. Also on abs from BM2, wow, fantastic that you have improved so much on them. Even if you did upper body work the day before, I bet you would see improvement. Congrats. It does seem like a long time to see the vet, but I believe Rolly is not in pain, only a little inconvenient. At least it seems that way to me. It sounds worse I think than it is. (I hope) He did enjoy his bone, and I've got plenty more where that came from.

Julie, Great job on GS chest and triceps and ab circuits. Many reasons could have happened about not getting the workout you wanted. Don't fret, the next time will most likely hit it even past what you want. You'll see. I can't wait to get done with our beach house too, and start living there and more enjoyment at the beach.:D

Eunice, We missed you! Glad you can use someone's computer to be able to talk with us. What in the world did your honey do to kill the computer? What is a Carb cycle? Sounds like you did a great job. You are doing so well with your diet and workouts. Good for you. LOL on the Mac Book and your DH not allowing to touch it. LOL:D Since we live on the West Coast, it always take longer for us to get Cathe's DVD's. I'm impatiently waiting as always. Great job on chest/shoulders/abs. Enjoy your sprints as well.

I'm surprised that your DVDs weren't there yet. I couldn't believe it when mine showed up on Monday. I see some other people saying that they haven't gotten them yet either though. Oh boy, weight 1/4 turn squats, I can hardly wait :rolleyes:;) Hopefully your legs were up for CM this morning!

Eunice Welcome, back, we missed you! Yikes, did your DH take the computer apart to clean it? I think maybe you need to ban him from all of your computers ;) Don't tell him I said that though :p Oh boy, that low carb thing sounds like it's affecting you the way that 3 day cleanse and detox diet did me. Ick, I hope you're feeling better today. I'm so proud of you for continuing to go to the gym every day, great job! Are you guys going to do something special for your anniversary on Friday? That is such a nice gift your DH got you, wow! I hope it comes soon so you can download the new workouts! Great hob on chest/shoulders and abs. My DH is in Canberra right now - he just flew there from Sydney, then back to Sydney tomorrow and home on Friday! I'll tell him to wave at you from the plane :D

Janie Oh no, that is terrible getting almost to the beach house before realizing he didn't have the keys. What a great idea to go ahead and make the most of it anyway. I know what you mean, if I do something like that DH would get really mad at me. Of course he is usually pretty hard on himself when he does stuff like that too, but still, good for you for not getting upset.

This morning was supposed to be KPC but I decided to do Afterburn instead. Wow, it's a goodie. She does these cycles where she does a low impact cardio like a Hiit, then a weighted exercise that still has the cardio going, and then repeats those 2 exercises. There are something like 10-12 of these rounds and it really gets your heart going. The craziest things are the squat thrusts on the discs into pushups where you take your feet out and in on the pushup (can't think of what they are called). Man are they tough. She uses the discs a lot and I already cracked on of them :mad: Luckily though I have a set of Mindy's discs that I've had for awhile and they work better on my carpet anyway. Then I did the abs from Turbo Barre. The strange thing is that that is the only one of the new workouts that listed an abs section. It is a goodie though. She does this new thing at the end that just killed my abs and also does straight leg bicycles! Ouch! It's only 7 1/2 minutes long but really effective. I can't wait to see what the rest of them will bring! Have a great day!

I got my DVDs last night in the mail!!! I know it is silly to get excited about them since I did get the downloads too but now I can see all the Premixes which don’t come with the downloads!! This morning I did Cycle Max. It was a fun workout but I have to say I really stink at the hover jumps. It went by pretty fast I think because of all the variation. I would agree with Pam that the music isn’t really energizing. In fact, I only noticed the music once during the entire workout and that was in the middle during the tempo portion and the music playing was the same that plays on the menu screen. I’m one of those that doesn’t really care what or if there is music playing when I am working out. If it is cool music like Jesse’s Girl on BM2 or something like that, I’ll notice it but if it isn’t good, I can tune it out and not care that it stinks.

Eunice!!!! :eek: So glad you found time to post. That stinks that your DH killed your computer. A new MacBook Pro sounds pretty awesome though. I’m glad you have been enjoying going to the gym. Great job on chest/shoulders/abs! Hope you start to get some energy back soon. That was one of my problems when going low carb. I just had no energy what so ever and I think that put me in a really bad mood all the time. I was biting my DH’s head off for no reason. Poor guy! If you get the downloads, you can always take Cycle Max (if you got that one) to the gym to do on a spin bike. Happy Anniversary on Friday! 10 years is awesome!

Janie That’s too bad you drove all the way out to the beach house before Joey realized he forgot the key but as you said it turned out for the best. Sounds like you three had a fantastic time plus you did get a little work done on the outside before the weather turns so bad you wouldn’t be able to. Hope you get a lot done over the next couple weeks. Oh and don’t forget the key this time! JK! ;)

Pam Great job on AB and abs from TB! I’m going to attempt AB on Friday so if I don’t post, please send someone to help me! That is crazy that your discs broke already. Have you contacted SNM to see if you can get them replaced or a refund? Now I’m scared about my discs. I know I weigh more than you so if you cracked yours, mine are in big time trouble! :confused: My legs were still really sore this morning but I made it through Cycle Max. I am hoping they are better by Friday or AB may do me in. I heard that one sneaks up on your inner thighs!

Janie Wow that is a long time to wait to see the vet. I am sure if it was something urgent they would have fit you in right away. The color you are painting your beach house sounds like it would be a nice warm color. It is fun remodeling but it can be stressful too. How fustrating to get almost there and realize that you don't have the keys. At least you made the best of it and it was a nice day too I don't think it rained that day.

Pam I wouldn't recommend dying your own eyelashes. You wouldn't want to get any of the dye in your eyes that is for sure. I agree that it would be nice to not have to deal with mascara though. After Burn sounds like it is a tough one. I am looking forward to doing it. Good job on STS disk 26 and your half turn jumps :D Bummer that you already broke one of your disks. Maybe S&M would replace it.

Julie Good job on GS Chest & Triceps. I hate it when you can't do as heavy as you are used to. I find that evenings are better for doing the weight work since I feel stronger than I do in the mornings. How are your cheeks doing (you know the ones I am talking about :p). Lucky you to get your DVDs too. Mine will have to go through customs so it could be a while for me.

Eunice Hasn't your DH killed your computer before :D. Happy 10th anniversary and on getting your MacBook Pro. I agree that DH should not touch your new computer or try to clean it either :D. I didn't get a chance to post last night. It seems when I workout in the evenings there is not much time for anything else sometimes. Yesterday was STS disk 19 Chest Shoulders and Triceps. Today I took as my day off since we went to Costco after work and got some other groceries at our regular store. We didn't get home until 7 so I wasn't start anything then. Pam and Julie you are so lucky to get the DVDs so soon, you will have to keep me posted on what they are like since it will be a while before I get mine.

Pam Thanks for the nice welcome back, yes DH opened the tower and cleaned all the dust with the vacuum, this is not the first time he does something like that, I mean cleaning the computer, but yes the first time he killed one, don't worry I won't tell him that you say that! Lol Oh well, good for me I got to have a nice computer, hopefully soon I can't wait to get it:D:D For our anniversary I don't think we are doing anything special, yesterday we were talking about it at diner time and Rachel say "Go to Mexico to do the hunky, hunky then come back" we were laughing I don't know what she meant with the hunky, hunky:p but it was funny, DH say something about going out for diner but is just to far away to go somewhere nice:confused: And I'm not going to lie but I'm doing the diet thingy and I don't want to messed up, so maybe we will wait for another time.:eek: For how long did you do the detox diet? I'm going to be on this for 3 weeks, yesterday I felt little weird in the morning, but after I finished the workout drink water and eat, because even when I'm not eating a lot of carbs I still eating every 3 hours so I was fine... Oh I waved back at your DH and told him to say hello to you from me!!!
Good job doing the new workout it sounds like a fun one of course if it is tough that one has your name writing all over :p You should contact SMS to get new plates.

JulieGood job doing cicle max, I'm with you I don't care that much about the music is playing when I'm in tune doing my thing all I can hear is my self buffing and puffing:p Oh the only music that drives my crazy in a good way is from Athletic Step the last combo I want to fly!!! You are right I'm going to have to take my download to the gym to do the cicle max... The low carb thing it wasn't that bad, if I don't hear DH saying "go eat something" we are fine! I don't know how or from where but I even took Sam out for a walk at least 3 days of the week.

I'm back but my DD took her laptop to school today, so I'm using the old scrap laptop that DH bought 10 years ago, he fixed onece in California so that's why it is still working but not all that great, I hate that is is real slow.:mad: anyways not to long till I have my own:D;) That’s too bad you drove all the way out to the beach house before Joey realized he forgot the key but as you said it turned out for the best. Cheryl We are in the same boat, I haven't receive my dvd's yet mine don't go through costumes though... No he didn't killed the computer before the other one was old and it didn't work anymore, I think I'm having some memory trouble right now:eek: Oh thanks yes 10 years is not that bad huh?:D 2 more week to finish the program and I'm keeping the diet and maybe repeat phase 2 one more time, I'm liking a little to much going to the gym and I want to do the workouts as it is, with all the equipment and stuff.;) Good job doing STS disc 19 and going shopping at costco that is a lot of work doesn't? putting thing in the shopping car is easy putting them away is the hard part, at least for me it is:eek:

Well today was a high/carb day and I'm having a blast.. good thing because I had legs today and it was a doozie one, It is a lot like meso 3 plyo legs and I'm feeling it my, cheeks (you know which ones I'm talking about) calves and quads are sooooore, very, very sore..
Also this morning I got the email with the link to my new Cathie downloads I'm not going to get them just yet, you all know that I'm waiting:p waiting for my toy!!! Well my ladies I have to go time goes by soooo fast DH is working till late almost every day so I have to do the driving thingy and I have to go pick Brandy up from the train station..
 
This morning I did Gym Styles Back, Shoulders, & Biceps. My biceps feel like jello now. I don’t have anything else to say about that!

Cheryl Great job on disc 19! I can’t believe you are almost ½ done with STS. It goes by so fast. I was thinking today during Gym Styles that there isn’t much of a break and I can’t wait to go back to STS Mesos 2 & 3 and having those nice breaks before lifting heavy again. I think I can lift heavier in the afternoon too. I do switch to afternoon workouts for upper body when I do STS. My cheeks are much better today. I am finally able to pass the toilet test again!! Well I hope Customs doesn’t keep your DVDs too long.

Eunice Great job on legs! Love those DOMS! Although I hate DOMS in my calves; I don’t know why. Hmm … I don’t remember the music in Athletic Step. It has been awhile since I have done that one. I think with music, it has to be a song I know and it has to have the lyrics for me to get pumped up about it. If it doesn’t have lyrics, I don’t always recognize what song it is until someone tells me what it is, then I am like “oh yea”!

Eunice Hopefully you receive your DVDs soon too. It is hard waiting when it seems like everyone else has got them already. They are getting good reviews so I can hardly wait to try them. I hate putting the groceries away. Especially when we bought a lot of meat and it had to be separated into packages to go into the freezer. Good job on your leg workout. Hard to believe that you are almost through the 12 weeks. It seems like you just started.

Julie Way to go on GS Back, Shoulders and Biceps. I can't believe that I am 1/2 through STS either. It seems to have gone by fast. I am a lot stronger in the afternoons than the morning too. Glad to hear that your cheeks are doing better and that you could pass the toilet test :D. I hope the DVDs get through customs quickly and they don't take their time.

Today was STS disk 20 Legs. I was pretty sweaty after that one.

Julie So glad you got your DVDs! Great job on Cycle Max! I used to teach spinning classes and I recorded my own music for them so I used all of my favorite songs. I've found that if I'm not enjoying the music I get kind've bored OR I think too much about what I'm doing and how hard it is :rolleyes: I don't mind it as much with other kinds of workouts if the music isn't great, but I do appreciate the fun music. I'm still singing the pina colada song from IMAX 2 this morning :D
I can't wait to hear what you thought about AB. I had some after burn from that one going on yesterday :D I think the issue for me with the discs is that they just don't slide well on my carpeting. I tried putting the covers on them and it made it worse. Since I have a set from Mindy that work pretty well I'm not going to worry about it because I would ave the same issue if they replaced them. My other ones are a softer plastic and they work pretty well on my carpet.

Cheryl You're right that it wouldn't be a good idea to dye your own eyelashes :p I do do my own lip waxes, but that is pretty easy. I think you'll like After burn. It is tough but doable (except for maybe those squat thrust push up things!)

Eunice Go to Mexico and do the hunky hunky huh?! :D:p Your girls sound so funny! You guys must have cracked up when she said that! I understand about not wanting to go out for a big dinner when you have been so good about your diet. It isn't worth it. I always hate it when it's a birthday or something and you feel obligated to have some of the cake....:rolleyes: I only did the detox diet for 3 days. No way could I last 3 weeks on that thing! I thought I was going to faint by the third day and I spent most of that day planning what I would eat the next day! :rolleyes: As I sit here writing this the 'Eat this, not that' guy is on TV showing all of these terrible meals tha tthey sell at restaurants. The shrimp pasta at the cheesecake factory is over 2700 calories! Ouch! Great job on your leg work!

Janie I hope you are getting a lot done at the beach!

So yesterday was Step Jump and Pump and today my chest is feeling it. The tricep work in that one always really gets me and I have a hard time keeping my arms behind my head for all of the ab work after that. This morning was Imax 2. I had thought about trying to do another one of the new workouts, but you just can't sub out Imax2 when it's on the calendar. Maybe tomorrow...I have to see if there is one that would be a good sub for Muscle Max. TGIF! My sweetie is coming home today, in fact he is somewhere over the Pacific ocean now! This morning I did Afterburn. Wow! That workout goes by fast and has so much variation. I have to say I am not that great on the discs with the disc jacks. I didn’t look in the mirror because I know it would have been hilarious watching me try to look coordinated like Cathe and crew. The disc mountain climbers, disc spiderman climbers, and crossover kicks are the worst. I can do anything else in that workout but have to stop early on those suckers. Guess I have something to work up to. Oh I also figured out I can’t use the Dixie cups. My fan blows them all over my floor. Although maybe I should chase them down by doing walking lunges!

Cheryl Great job on disc 20 legs! I have to admit I get a little jealous when I see you doing disc whatever in STS. I can’t wait to get back into that rotation. Although right now I am enjoying the new workouts now that they are here. I need to figure out when to work in the yoga dvds. Maybe I’ll have time on Sunday so then I can report back to you how they are.

Pam Great job on SJP yesterday and Imax 2 today! I’m actually subbing Low Impact Challenge next week for Imax 2. It was a hard decision but I really want to try as many of the new workouts as possible before I start my next STS round at the end of November. You could do the total body trisets total body premix for MM but I think it is about 10 minutes longer. Oh I sing the pina colada song all day after doing Imax 2. Can’t get it out of my head. Just like Buttercup on Cardio & Weights.

Didn't post last night because I was watching my NEW DVD"S! Joey and I are spent from the work we did at the Beach House. We pulled up every bit of carpet, took most of the nails that were holding it down, out. It took longer than we thought, but seeing that all our projects are doing that. So grateful the carpet is out, now I'm hoping that dreadful smell will be gone as well. If it doesn't, I don't know what to do to mask it. Any suggestions? Thinking ahead and be preparing to at least search for something/product to do that.:( Next step, paint the floors to help seal in that smell and wash the walls with a degreaser. We got the heat working and saw that our windows have heavy condensation on them. We will have to get a dehumidifier in hopes to solve that. In the mean time, will make long thick strips of fabric to put in-between all the windows to catch the water.:confused:

Joey decided not to workout today. I don't blame him, the over night stay in our motor home is not what it use to be, and we didn't bring the right pillows to get our rest. Lack of sleep and lots of work the day before and more lots of work yesterday, made us tired. However, Got a little bug in me and did yoga max. Has been awhile since I did any yoga. Wasn't good at it of course, but the more I do it the easier it will become. Usually see improvement when I do yoga very quickly. Not normally in the body, but the act of practicing yoga. Let's hope it's still that way.:)

Cheryl, Great job on disc 19 chest, shoulders and triceps. You are doing a really good job. You should be very proud of yourself. I know waking up so early to do exercises is hard, but you are doing it. Congratulations! Enjoy your rest day, you deserve it. Also great job on today's STS disc 20 legs. I love being sweaty after a workout. :)

Eunice, Glad still, that you can communicate with us. Must be frustrating with a slow computer, but grateful to hear from you.;) Great job on those legs and a high carb day. Yum! Our Beach House isn't that far away, it's only 80 miles or 2 hours to get there. I slept OK last night, but still have the beach house on my mind. Great job on the heavy duty leg workout. When you are sore like that you are yet again changing your body. Good for you! Enjoy your errands and day.

Julie, Great job on GS back, shoulders and biceps. I here what you are saying about your biceps feeling like jello. Means you really hit it hard. Good for you! Also a great job on today's Afterburn. I watched that one last night. "Wow!" is right. I think coordination and balance are in order for those. I'm wanting that in my life as my age needs those kinds of workouts. But man, it looks hard! They make those spiderman/mountain climbers, crossover kicks, look easy, don't they? Jeesh. LOL on those dixie cups. :D

Pam, Great job on yesterday's SJ&P. Yet another good workout. Also great job on today's Imax 2. So happy for you that your Sweetie is coming home today. Enjoy the day.

Today was MMA Kickbox. It was a nice and easy one for Friday.

Pam After Burn has squat thrust push up things does it!!!! Oh no I hate those things :D. The tricep work get me too in SPJ. My arms start to cramp up when I am doing the ab work too and I have a hard time keeping them behind my head too. Good job on Imax 2 and your favorite "Jennie Hops"!!!! Enjoy the weekend with your hubby.

Keep at the yoga and you will get good at it. I overheard one of the yoga instructors saying last Sunday that you should do it 3 to 4 times per week to really see improvement. I have only been doing it once a week but I can feel a difference and I would like to be able to do it more. I will have to see how I can fit it in.

Julie Great job on AB! What did you think of those dragging planks? ugh, those were really hare too. I do really love that workout though. I didn't have any Dixie cups so I just did those moves pretending I had them. I imagine it would be harder if I really had to pick up and set down dixie cups though so I will try to remember to get some for next time. That is pretty funny that your fan was blowing them around though! I definitely wouldn't want to see myself in the mirror trying to do some of those moves!! I thought about doing total body Trieste instead of MM, but it is almost 30 minutes longer and I just didn't feel lie a 90+ minute workout this morning. I subbed in Athletic Training. Probably not a great substitution, but it was a great total body workout.

Janie wow, you really got a lot done at the beach house, it sounds exhausting. I think you made a good choice in doing yoga max. What did you think of it? Congratulations on getting the DVDs, it's so exciting, isn't it? I sure hope Cheryl and Eunice don't have to wait too much longer for theirs. Hopefully getting that carpet out of there will really help with the smell. It would probably bo good if you can jsut open everything up and let it air out for awhile too. I imagine painting and freshening everything up is going to help a lot too.

Cheryl great job on MMA kickboxing. Oh yes, not only does Afterburn have the squat thrust push up things, it also has these dragging planks that are absolutely killers. I don't know how she dreams up some of this stuff! I have to take my arms down by my side and shake them several times while trying to do the abs in SJP, it's crazy! MMA Kickbox. I hope you don't have to wait too much longer for the new workouts!

I decided to sub in Athletic Training for muscle max this morning. It's not really the same kind of workout since it's circuit training, but I wanted to do one of the new workouts. All I can say is WOW! It's another doozy! Gets your headrests up and keeps it there right from the get go. Lots of variety and you just move from one thing to the next with no breaks. it really gets your legs too! Well I need to go wake up the DH. I took him coffee 45 minute ago but I think he just went back to sleep. The joys of jet lag. Have a great weekend everyone!

This morning I did 60 minutes of steady state cycling and then the upper body premix from Muscle Max. I am really enjoying working my upper body twice a week. I feel like I am making good progress. Now I have to get ready for clean max! Our house hasn't been cleaned in so long and Maggie really needs a bath. We have been calling her Stinky Girl for the last couple days. :eek:

Janie So did you get through previewing all the DVDs? I haven't quite previewed all of them yet but I have previewed bits and pieces out of each one. They all look like so much fun; I can't wait to do them. Hopefully you will get that smell out of the beach house. A dehumidifier might help with that too, especially if the smell is related to too much moisture in the air.

Cheryl Great job on MMA Kickbox! I think that one is a nice one to do when you want an easier one. Too bad you couldn't rent a post office box in the US and have the DVDs delivered there. I bet you would get them faster driving down there then waiting for Customs to decide they are ok to deliver to you. Doing yoga 3 to 4 times a week to see improvements? I'm in trouble then. Not that I would want to do it that many times but it is hard to fit everything in.

Pam Great job on Athletic Training! That looks like it probably goes by fast with all the variation. The first 1/2 does look like it will fry your legs big time. I can't wait to try it. I only have a heavy tube not the medium resistance tubing. Do you think a band would work instead of tubing for that one? I'm thinking so but guess we will see. I actually liked the dragging planks in Afterburn. Maybe I am doing something wrong but I didn't find those near as hard as the spiderman climbers and cross under kicks. Poor DH! Now tell him to get his lazy behind out of bed! Just kidding!

Today was STS disk 20 Back and Biceps. After that I followed Julie and did clean max too. Our place hadn't been cleaned really good since my SIL left so it was due.

Pam Well I have never heard of dragging planks!!!!!:eek:. It sounds like this one will kick my butt. I am hoping that I will get mine by next Friday. Fingers crossed. Good job on Athletic Training sounds like another good one.

Julie Good job on your steady state cycling and the upper body premix from Muscle Max. A lot of people do rent a post office box in the US and have things delivered there. One of my staff does that to have her Victoria Secret sent to a PO box. It saves a lot in shipping as well because sometimes there is no shipping charge if it is delivered to a US address. You would see improvements with doing yoga just once a week. I know I have seen improvement with doing it just once a week. I know what you mean about it being hard to fit everything in too.

We bought Pergo (from Home Depot) for my master bedroom and bathroom. It is like a denim color. So unique and in love with it! I also picked out the bedding I want for this room. It's called Georginga Ruffles Quilt Set, Floral, (Walmart) but there is no floral in it that I could see. They're more like horizontal shaggy stripes. But the colors are remarkable. It will look just awesome! We picked out the living room carpet and it will be the same in the Reading/Computer room. Its called Safari, (Home Depot) it's like a Winter Cream color. The rest of the house will be Pergo Vintage White Pine (Home Depot). Oh my, is that ever beautiful! Then at Costco, we bought floor registers for both houses. :D

We think we know how to get rid of the smell. We bought a mold killer/odor and control solution. We will put it on the floors before we paint them. That should take care of it once and for all. Hopefully?

This is so exciting. We will go To the Beach House on Tues. and finish pulling up nails, sweeping the floors, putting mold stuff on it and spend the night. If that is dry when we wake up, then we will degrease the walls. That's our goal anyway. And then come back home to Shelton.

Cheryl, Great job on MMA Kickbox. You think that is easy? You are getting stronger then. ;) Thank you for your advice on doing yoga 3 times per week. I'll do it!

Pam, Yoga Mix was fantastic! Can't wait to do more of it and get more flexible. I got big time DOM's from it, very surprising. Great job with AT this morning. It's OK to sub that. I don't blame you for wanting to do one of the new workouts. I loved watching that one. Can't wait to do it.

Julie, I did review all of the DVD's. They are all so amazing! Great job on 60 min. of steady state cycling, upper body pre from MM and clean max.

Cheryl I hope so too, we haven't receive any mail yet because of the Qantas flight cancelation over the weekend :mad: that sucks I'm waiting for some stuff that I bought for Rachel and Stacy, also I hope I get to have my laptop soon, they better don't keep canceling the flights:mad: I'm glad to hear that some people is talking good about Cathe's work, I heard over FB that one of the workouts has a poor quoin, that's sad :( OH i bet separating the meat its a lot of work, but it has to be done, doesn't? this week and one more to go, I can believe that I'd being working out for 12 weeks straight, no rest after every phase. Good job doing disc 20, nice sweaty I like sweaty!


Pam I know huh? crazy and funny girls!.... Well we didn't do anything the past weekend I didn't want too, but I think DH got a little mad he didn't say anything about it even if I asked him he didn't say anything:confused: I feel bad about it so maybe when I get over with the diet I'm going to bake his favorite cake and something to drink something with bobbles;) I wonder how much food did you ate in your detox diet? I really liked the low carb diet because my belly got better, no bloating, no weir noises:eek: if you know what I mean, and everything is getting tight! OMG 2700 cal in one meal that's bad. I get 1500 during the day. Good job doing J&P and Imax2

JulieHow did you like the afterburn? I can wait to get mine, I've kind liked to watch my self in the mirror and I'm more strict with my self, example biceps I thought that for the 21 I could use 33Lb but I couldn't because I was swinging the barbell a lot, I was watching my self:eek: so I had to dropped to 28Lb, I know embarrassing but my excuse is that that was the las exercise for biceps and doing 3sets is hard.Well after you describe the suckers I'm not sure if I want to do them. So funny that your fan blows the cups I think you are very smart chasing them doing walking lunges hahah!!!

Janie It is a valid excuse to not to post, I hope you had a cup of tea, some yummy treats and sit and watch the new dvd's.. That's a lot of work that you did at the beach house, pulling the carpet, nails, I don't know what to do with the smelly part though, I hope you get to fix it. Good job doing the new yoga max. 2 hours is not that bad when where you are going is to your house.

Well ladies, I haven't being here but I'm always thinking about you. Friday we didn't do anything but register Brandy to High School we are going to have to move her to another school because the one she is going right now grade 11 is the most important part of the IB but she would need to finish 11 & 12 but because of us going back home next year that wouldn't count anything for her, so we went to another school let see what happen with that one.
I think DH didn't like that idea of us doing nothing for our anniversary he didn't say anything but he was kind of quiet for the weekend, I don't know if it was that or that he worked yesterday Sunday, I hope it was that!
I did my workouts Friday & Saturday as normal I did the food cycle as normal I kind of like that my belly is so much better.:D
Today I started wee 11 OMG I cannot believe that, well the workouts are going to be a little diff it is circuit type of WO, high reps 30 reps for squats, leg press, dead lift, walking lunges and calves, rest 5 min the repeat 3 more times it was good, today was high carb day, I get more hungry on this days.
Well tomorrow is a Holliday so no school for the girls..
Something funny happen today I went to the gym DH was looking for me in our house, he didn't see the car so he went to the gym, I'm always by my self but today there was 2 guys WO next to me, DH stayed longer with me and he was all bubbly and nice he even kissed me I mean not weird that he kissed me, but he wasn't to to happy with me I'm telling you he was quiet till yesterday.. hahaha!! I thought it was funny!!!

You are right that it's the first half of AT that really fries your legs. In fact I think it was the very first round that really really got them. Ouch! I used a band for it since I don't have the tubing and it worked just fine. Wow, you liked the dragging planks?! By the last set of them I wasn't sure if I could even lift up my arms and move anymore :rolleyes: I guess that is all of that upper body work you have been doing paying off!

Cheryl Great job on disc 20 and clean max! I bet you and Julie both have sparkling houses now! AT will definitely kick your butt, but I think it is a little bit easier than Afterburn. They are both fun and very fast paced with some interesting new moves though.

Janie Oh I had so much fun picking out all of that stuff when we werIt sounds like you are making some really nice choices. I really love the sound of the vintage white pine pergo. It sounds perfect for a beach house too! You must be getting so excited about all of it! it sounds like you have a great plan for getting rid of the smell too, that is wonderful!
That is great that you got DOMs from Yoga Max. Everyone says though that yoga is great for muscle development even though it might not necessarily feel like it when you are doing it.

Eunice Aw, I hope DH wasn't too disappointed about not doing anything special for your anniversary :( It sounds like you have a good plan to celebrate once you are done with your diet though. I didn't eat much food at all in my detox diet. The thing that I really hated about it was that there was no solid food until lunch. Breakfast was a protein shake. Lunch was a salad with no dressing and then dinner was some kind of fish and lots of veggies. In between you got to have up to 4 protein shakes during the day, but they tasted so bad that I had a hard time drinking them. I did find a good tasting one after the first day so it wasn't as bad. I like my breakfast though so I really missed that! Oh I like the sound of no bloating and no weird belly noises!! Maybe I need to try some low carbs for awhile. You are doing fantastic on Jamie's program, so nice to hear that you are getting such good results with it.
I'm glad that I gave you an idea for your DH. Mine gets coffee in bed every morning - he is very spoiled! He is not a morning person at all so he really needs it to get going in the morning. Glad your DH liked it!
That wouldn't be good if Brandy had a whole year of high school that didn't count, I hope the new school you found worked out for her. My DH was all quiet like that a couple of weeks ago when he was leaving for Berlin. After he got back I said something to him about it and he didn't even remember. I think he was just bummed because he was having to travel again, especially on the weekend, so having to work could be why your DH was quiet. Your circuit workouts sound like they will be good ones. Wow, you are on the last week of the program. It seems like it went by really fast.
So do you think that DH wanted to make sure those 2 guys at the gym knew that you were with him? That is funny, glad to hear that he was in a happy mood again.

I saw those posts on FB about the bad cuing in the new step workout. Now I'm a little nervous about trying that one. I usually have no problem picking up Cathe's choreography on the first try so I'll have to see how it goes. I looked at my calendar for today and there was no workout on it??? :confused: I don't know if it just didn't copy right from the rotation or if it was supposed to be an off day, but I decided it was a good excuse to do one of the new workouts. I did cardio supersets. This one is really good too, but I didn't like it as much as Afterburn and Athletic Training. Yesterday was a day off and I spent it working on stained glass and going to the mall and then watching football at the neighbors. We went to a birthday party Saturday night and were out late for us, so it was nice to have a lazy day yesterday. I hope everyone is having a great Monday!

Well I was going to do one of the new yoga workouts on Sunday but DH conned me into being ultra-lazy. We did so much cleaning on Saturday, I was completely exhausted even into Sunday. Maybe I’ll find time after work sometime this week. This morning I did Pyramid Lower Body. I upped my weights from the last time I did and I really feel like I will have DOMS tomorrow.

Cheryl Great job on disc 20 plus Clean Max!!! Well I didn’t get a yoga workout in on Sunday. We spent about 10 hours cleaning on Saturday and my feet, legs, and back were killing me. Sunday was spent lying around and watching a House marathon on TV. Oh well, I’ll try to get a yoga workout in this week. Maybe I should start with one of the timesaver premixes in the afternoon?

Janie Wow you are moving right along on the Beach House. Plus I’m sure that all that work is like a workout. I’m going to try to look up the products online so I can get a visual of what it will look like. Of course, I can’t wait to see the finished product as I am sure you can’t either. I hope the mildew removal stuff works for you. We used something like that on our concrete walls after our basement flooded before we put the new drywall up. Our house has lost most of the musty smell it had before.

Eunice Great job on keeping up with your workouts and eating plan! You are such a good girl! I’m super impressed by anyone who can keep up with an eating plan like you are. That must be really hard to figure out the whole school transfer system between countries. Hope everything works out well. I think most of the new workouts are going to be fun and will go by fast because there is so much variety. Next week I will really be able to get into them because I will be taking a break from heavy lifting. I do like to watch my form in the mirror when I am weight lifting to make sure I am not using momentum or anything like that but with cardio, it is best to not always see what I look like. Actually, once when I was doing a step workout, I was checking myself out in the mirror and ended up missing the next step and falling on my butt. What a cute story about your DH and the gym. He was making sure those guys knew that the new hottie at the gym was all his!

Pam Great job on SS! Did you do the step add on or just the main portion? I was thinking about trying Low Impact Challenge tomorrow but since I have to stay up late tonight to hand out candy, I’ll probably be tired and not thinking straight tomorrow morning. If the cuing isn’t the greatest, I probably will have problems doing anything. I hate clean max too. Almost more than running but like running, I feel really good when it is all done. Maggie is no longer stinky girl. She really hates getting a bath but luckily doesn’t fight. She does hold a grudge and give me mad looks for a few hours afterwards. It could be the upper body work I have been doing that made the dragging planks not seem bad. I was worried about them because Cathe introduces them with “These are so hard” talk about a way to motivate people!
