Strength in Numbers

Froze lots of turkey for soups and stuff. Crocheted the same oval rug but this time I think I did it right. Still no pattern, but we'll see. Will be at the beach house tomorrow and leave late the next day. No internet connection, so will catch up with all then.

Cheryl, So glad you are feeling better today and had some much needed sleep. Great job on STS disc 30 shoulders, biceps & triceps. Will talk again when I get back from the beach house. Keep up the good work.;)

Cheryl Oh no, I hope you didn't get sick, that was a good idea stopped the workout, listened to your body. Black Friday can get pretty crazy, we have done it before but not that crazy. Its being raining over here, hot, rain, cold at night:confused: I just love to workout with my hubby.

Julie Good job doing the Bonus Burn Premixes from afternurn looks like you are rally enjoying the new series good for you, I haven't felt in love with any of them yet, well I did like the supersets but I haven't done any other, I went back to step moves and Imax 2 I just love my old Cathe a little better:D Did you have fun shopping? hope so, good job doing the spinning. Thanks for sharing the link I'll have to check that out. Good to know that NOT having the period its healthy.

JanieMmmmm yummy turkey I want some turkey. We didn't have any we didn't want to pay $70.00 for a late turkey:eek: Next year we will have one for sure we will be back at home by then.

Cheryl I'm glad that you are feeling better, so better that you did disc 30 shoulders/biceps/triceps and all that cleaning and laundry.

Saturday I was so tired and sore that I didn't workout we overslept then just stay home doing nothing it was raining all day, also I did bake pumpkin pie and apple crumble DH got a box with 98 apples so now I have the work of doing lots of apple crumbles hahahaha yeah its gone and I'm making some more.
So Sunday I did the workout from Saturday it was legs I didn't go to the gym DH worked that day so I did sts disc 17 meso 2 and I'm sooooo sore today, soooo sore, today I did back and cardio I did back workout at the gym with DH then I did Imax2 so much fun.
Update on Astrid she just bought her first car last Friday, she is doing good working, she is living with a girlfriend they are renting an app and now she has her car, she got her license, her car Insurance and thanks god she is doing good.... So proud of her.

Eunice Two big turkey dinners plus a big spaghetti dinner did me in! I think you are right that I need another round of the cleanse but oh no, I don't think I can handle those nasty protein drinks. UGH! Oh yes, the chocolate pie is insane. The cruse is not like a traditional pie crust, it's more like a shortbread cookie. Yum! I'm with Stacy, I like chocolate chips in my pancakes too! How can you beat that?! Your french toast actually sounds pretty good though. I'm so glad that the headache is finally gone. I hate those nasty things.
That is funny that your first alone date with your DH was to the gym. How romantic! :rolleyes:;) Oh yes, hubby is having fun picking out his own presents all right. I can't say too much though, I went to the mall yesterday to do some Christmas shopping and I got 1 Christmas present and everything else for me! I had so many bags I decided I needed to leave before I bought anything else. The Restoration Hardware store in our mall is going out of business and they had everything on sale for 40% off so I loaded up on bath towels and new bath rugs. I went to another store after that and knocked down one of their signs with all of my bags so I decided I better get out of there :rolleyes:
I am not cooking for the birthday party this weekend. I got a private room in a restaurant so they are doing the cooking. I will make his cake though because I priced a pretty cake at the bakery and it was going to be $100! Crazy. That is funny that you even had a hard time driving your car because your arms hurt so much! I think you will have those veiny things in no time! :D Great job on Step Moves, even if you couldn't move your arms!

Janie Great job on TBS abs and Stretching! Hmm, I think that was on Saturday....I am glad to hear that you had more luck with your rug the second time around. I agree that you wouldn't have wanted it puffing in the middle. The good thing about getting my windows done was that we were also able to hang our window treatments. They have been done for about a year and we had them up but just on temporary little nails until I finished the windows. We wanted to wait to see where we wanted to hang them. Now it's time to move on to the next project I guess.

Cheryl Sorry to hear that you were feeling bad but I'm glad that it didn't last long! Sounds like it was a good thing that you got to bed and got some sleep.
Black Friday was insane. I can't believe that woman with the pepper spray. i hope they caught her, last I saw they hadn't. There were also shots fired at a mall about an hour from here and a bomb scare and suspicious package found at a mall in Arizona. I think the whole thing has gotten out of hand. I went to the mall yesterday and it wasn't crowded at all and all of the stores had the same sales that they had had on Friday! I see some of them have better sales today for Cyber Monday so I will remember that for next year! My two SILs went at 4 am shopping on Friday morning. It just isn't worth it. I'm with you and would rather sleep!

I'm in my usual state of not knowing what to get people. Janie Did you make two turkeys over the weekend? My SIL made to so she gave me one of the carcasses and some of the leftovers and we had turkey noodle soup last night. DH said he likes that better than the original turkey. Have a great time at the beach house!

Eunice $70 for a turkey?? Really! Wow! It is supposed to be an inexpensive meal! Oh yes, i am done eating turkey, except there is still a little soup left from last night but I might have to freeze that. Definitely lots of salads for me this week though :D 98 apples, holy cow, you are going to be busy baking and eating apples!
Great job on your leg workout Sunday and your back and cardio today! Wow, Imax 2, you are a machine! I am so glad to hear that Astrid is doing so well, good fpr her buysing a cat, I bet she is so excited!

This morning I did Butts and Guts. That was the first time in a long time ad I know I'll be feeling it tomorrow! My hamstrings are feeling it already in fact! I decided to start Cathe's August 2011 rotation today and when I put it on my calendar I noticed that the last of the rotation is Christmas day! Wow, I can't believe it's that close. This morning I did some steady state spinning for 45 minutes and then 10 minutes of Ab Hits. Tonight I will be starting STS with disc 1 and countless pushups! Actually I did count them and tonight I will be 136 pushups of varying styles. Oh fun!

Janie Wow you baked a whole turkey just for Joey! What a lucky guy! Of course freezing some of it sure helps it to last longer too. Sounds like your traveling wasn’t that great but at least the way home was better. Our weather is really starting to turn yucky now. Blustery with rainy/snow mix. Yuck! Oh well, guess it couldn’t be Fall forever.

Cheryl I am so glad you are feeling better. Great job on disc 30! It does feel good to have most of the shopping done. Although I really don’t have a lot of presents to buy. We only buy for our nieces, nephews and parents.

Eunice Great job on disc 17. That one is burned into my memory as giving me the biggest quad DOMS ever. Good job following that up with Imax 2 and back the next day. I think I really like Afterburn, Cardio Supersets, and Athletic Training the most out of the new ones but you are right that you can’t beat old-style Cathe. Sounds like Astrid is getting everything together and you are such a proud mama!

Pam Great job on Butts & Guts! Such a goodie and yes it always gets you. I don’t think I have ever done it (or one of the premixes) and not had DOMS the next day. Usually I end up getting more for me on Black Friday but this time I did really well and only ended up getting a few things for myself. I love allrecipes.com. I always start there when I am looking for a recipe.

Janie It is nice to have frozen turkey to make soups. My neighbour brought over some turkey soup for me after our Thanksgiving in October and I froze it. I just finished up the last of it today for lunch. Have fun at your beach house.

Eunice The rain isn't fun. It rained a lot here this weekend but it looks like we should get a nice week finally. Good for you to listen to your body and not workout. Sleeping and doing nothing is nice to do sometimes. You have your work cut out for you to do something with all those apples. Nice that Astrid is doing well, that must make you feel good too especially since you are far away right now.

Pam Black Friday doesn't sound like anything I would want to do at all. I heard that the women with the pepper spray turned herself in. I can't believe what people will do to scare other shoppers away. I am with you that the whole thing has gotten out of hand. Shopping at 4 am......no thanks I would rather sleep too. Good job on Butts and Guts, Christmas is really close now isn't it.

Yesterday was yoga and then I was busy making lasanga because my parents and brother were coming over for dinner. It was the Grey Cup yesterday (the Canadian version of the Super Bowl) and our British Columbia Lions were playing. And they WON!!!!!! Yeah they they beat those Winnipeg Blue Bombers but good. Today was Low Impact Step, still working on getting the step moves down. Better than the first time but still needing improvement.

PamWow Pam you had big diners I'm sure you are ready to go back to your routine of clean eating, your chocolate pie sound really good, but I'm not good baking shortbread I tried to make cookies last year they last for ever because no one liked them:confused:Oh, so what's the plan? I don't think you did gain any weight? Oh yes I'm zoo glad that the headaches are gone:D I know DH was so romantic taking me to the gym for the first time ever, but hey who knew that now there is where we spent most of our time lately.
OMG I can picture you going shopping from store to store getting stuff only for you and ONE present, you know your priorities, did you wish you had a stroller? you know like the moms at the store they use the stroller to put all their shopping so you didn't knocked down the signs :p... That store closing and having a sale sound like a fun place to shop.
Sounds like a fun diner for your husband $100 for a cake huh oh its better if you bake your own I bet its going to be more tasty.
I love to feel the pain, I was telling DH that now I can feel the hot feeling on my checks just like Cathie say on her videos I love it. That's all I want my veiny arms my hands are very veiny and I have notice 2-3 new veins so hopefully but some of my vein are like baby vein really skinny, thin, :mad:
And today DH brought some more fruit, NOOOOO please! Good job doing buts & Guts that one is a tough one, August 2011 good, you picked your rotation and you are all set and ready to get to your next turkey diner:p hahaha!! just messing with you!

JulieGood job doing spinning and abs, oh yeas I did abs no equipment Sunday when I did legs, you are not going to believe me but I thought about YOU when I picked the legs dvd, Go girls, 136:eek: are you doing those on your toes? if you say YES I want to die:eek: today I did 80 on my knees:eek: I was hopping that by doing Imax2 my DOMS would get better but NOT I got even more sore:roll eyes: Love my old-style Cathe.

Cheryl So you are feeling better, I'm glad!! The heat was horrible today, steamy, maybe tomorrow its going to rain, I don't care the weather as long as my floors don't get soak and wet. Good job doing yoga and cooking that yummy lasagna, I'm glad your team won!!! And aldo for doing LIS, you'll get the step work down in no time.

Today I had a very busy day, I went to the gym and did chest/core and I did 35 min on the treadmill I wanted to come home take Sam out and then do some step or something but today I had to pick the girls from school and take them to their swimming class, so I came back home to cook some of my chicken/turkey meat muffins, grill some chicken breast, bake protein bars I made some apple ones they turned out really good, also I make another batch of apple crumble for the family and just before I left I did put the chicken in the oven cooking getting ready for diner.

I do have DOMS from B&G yesterday but not terrible ones. I can walk at my normal pace which is always a good thing! :D My legs were just kind've stiff this morning for my workout and I am definitely feeling my abs. That makes me happy because it doesn't seem like I get ab DOMS very often. foodnetwork.com and epicurious.com are great sites for recipes too. Those 2 and allrecipes are my main sources of recipes.

Cheryl I'm starting to think that they need some regulation around Black Friday since it is getting so nuts. I'm not a fan of over-regulation, but things are really getting out of control. It is so out of whack with what Christmas is supposed to be all about. I'm glad that crazy woman turned herself in. They were saying on the radio this morning that someone took a video of her spraying people with their cell phone and posted it on the internet. Apparently she also head butted some guy as she was rushing out of there with her Xbox :confused:

Great job on yoga. Oh I love lasagne. I was going to make that on Friday but DH requested spaghetti instead. I think we will be needing some lasagne soon though! Congratulations on your team winning the Grey Cup! That is very exciting!
Great job on LIS too. I was the same way the second time through...better than the first but still not quite there. I guess we'll get it eventually.

Eunice DH is in Los Angeles until Thursday so it's easy for me to eat light when he isn't here so I should be back to normal by the weekend. I was 2 pounds heavier on Monday than I was on Thursday, but back down 1/2 pound so far. That means I'll be all ready to pig out at the party on Saturday :p Oh, my mom makes the best shortbread cookies. She made some for Thanksgiving but I only had 1. I think I need to make some at Christmas time though..... :rolleyes: Oh yes, a stroller at the mall would've been great! My car wasn't parked too far from the mall, so I went out and dumped everything in it and then went back in! I needed to get some leggings so I just went in and got those and then left.
I figured a homemade cake would taste better than one from a bakery too, but the one from the bakery might look better. Oh well, DH won't eat any of it anyway!
OMG, what in the world are you going to do with all of that fruit? It sounds like you are making progress at least with the crumbles and the energy bars.

This morning for me was Intensity. My legs were not too happy about that after B&G yesterday, but I made it through. I was really glad when the step portion was over though! Have a great day everyone!

Last night I did disc 1 as planned. I started out strong on the pushups but finished very weak. I think it might be an improvement though over the last time when I started weak and finished dead. :p This morning was disc 3, legs. I decided to do the first meso out of order. I’m also going to add in a full body workout on Saturdays during this round of STS. We’ll see how it goes.

Cheryl Great job on yoga on Sunday! Mmmm! Lasagna sounds so good right now. I haven’t had that in so long. That sounds really good with some crusty garlic bread. Ok now I am hungry. Great job on LIS! I’ve only done that one once so far. I might try it again during an active recovery week. Yep 136 down, 624 to go. Can’t wait until Meso 1 is over. Congratulations on your team winning. Now it is on to concentrating on the hockey season, right? I am not a big football fan so I cannot wait for the season to be done. Hockey I can watch even if I don’t get into it that much but then again most of the games are on way past my bedtime! :rolleyes:

Eunice Great job on chest/core and 35 minutes on the treadmill at the gym! I didn’t do all the pushups on my toes. I couldn’t do the bootcamp/core/spiderman thingy ones or the staggered on my toes. I went to my knees for those. Don’t worry about not doing pushups on your toes. It took me a long, long time of doing pushups before I could get on my toes. Even now some days are stronger than others. 80 on your knees is very impressive. I did see something where Cathe said if you are having trouble doing pushups on your toes try doing pushups on your knees with a weighted vest. After a while, she said you will probably surprise yourself on how many toe pushups you can do. Besides you can do a pullup on your own and I find that truly amazing! :eek:

Pam Great job on Intensity! Oh I always do the Rocky arms when the step portion is over. It is that moment when I know I am going to make it. ;) Oh yeah, the pushups. I do ok with regular pushups but the bootcamp and staggered get me. I really thought I would do better with the staggered since we do them in Afterburn and I can do them then but I just didn’t have it in me last night. I hardly ever get ab DOMS either. Maybe twice that I can remember. I have gone to foodnetwork.com but never epicurious.com. I’ll have to check that out.

Got home, and we are soooooo tired. Did lots of work, but still it doesn't show that much. I was painting the ceiling and had to get up and down the ladder many many times. It felt like an aerobic workout. More of the same next week. Joey will go after our exercises on Wedn. I'm staying home. I can only manage once a week. He's a go getter.:)

Janie Wow, it sounds like you are definitely getting your workouts in when you are at the beach house with all of that work you are doing. I bet it doesn't look like much each time to you, but the end results of all of this work will be amazing. I don't blame you for staying home today! I just love your rug! It looks great,I guess the extra work was worth it since you are happy with it now. And Rolly looks so cute sitting on it :)

This morning was Kick, Punch, & Crunch. It was pretty tough this morning because I have shoulder, chest, hamstring, and glute DOMS from STS the last two days.

Janie Hope you are resting up from all the work at the beach house. Painting can be a workout indeed. Your rug looks really pretty. So glad it worked out this time and didn’t pucker. Rolly is so adorable sitting so sweetly!

Pam Great job on LIC Original recipe! We need to let Cathe know she can’t repeat initials because it messes up the system. Did you do the Rocky arms after the bicep/band curls? If you’re like me you can’t even lift your arms after that. Oh I have major DOMS in my hamstrings and glutes. I do not remember this from my first round of STS so maybe the first time I wasn’t going as deep or as heavy as I should have been. If this is a sign of how this round will go, I’m in for a DOMS festival this winter.

Pam I know when DH is at the field its so much easy for me to do my diets, so I know you'll do good this week getting ready for your feast this weekend OMG its almost here the days are going way to fast. How can you loose weight so fast? I weighed my self this morning and I'm back at 135:mad::eek::eek: and I'm kind of counting my calories I know I'm not eating more then I'm supposed to and those apple crumbles I just taste the crumbles I don't get a full serving. So I don't know maybe I'm just going to accept me as what it is and quick complaining :confused: I'm thinking about giving some to the teachers since its the end of the school. So bad that your husband won't eat any cake mine would have not trouble eating any cake.

Julie Good job doing disc 1 thanks for the tip about doing push-ups with the weighted vest I'm going to give it a go. OK now I'm laughing at your improvements from last time you did STS:p That sounds like a good plan doing the first mess out of order, good luck doing a full body workout on Saturday I think that how you are getting big time DOMS its going to be a little hard, but who knows maybe not. Oh boy I have to keep working on doing the pull ups, this week I tried again but I did it at the end of the workout I was already spent and tired so I kind of did it but not as good as I did it last time.

Janie I'm glad your home, tired but safe, going up and down the ladder you better be careful. Your rug turned out so good I like it and its bigger then the other one and Rolly looks cute sitting in there. Good you stay home I bet you need to rest and go back next time just take it easy and do what I do when I'm at the gym with DH I asked him to get me the 44Lb dumbbell on the floor for me and he say "can't you do that? I'm sure I can but your here and you can help me" So while Mr Joey its happy to go work, its all good!! enjoy your day!

Pam Good job doing LIC Original Recipe love the new name. I have to tell you have you hear about Glucosamine? I bought it for my shoulder and knee and I have noticed that since I'm taking this my shoulder don't get on pain after a good heavy workout.. I thought that you might like to check it out for your shoulder too. Ok I'm gone now:p

Well yesterday I did legs it was a good workout I did it at the gym I'm thinking that I really need to go heavy next time I'm in there, something funny happened to me I got the barbell and get it ready for the squats I did used the 10kl plates and I felt really good about it last time I was struggling with that weight so I put another plate 2.5kl and I was happy DH was working out on the other side of the room so he comes over and asked me if I knew I was using the light weight barbell:eek::p I was NOOOOOO really? yes ok that's why I felt I could fly hahahaha he helped me to chage the weights to the olympic bar so yes I felt the diff and I felt good after I finished I thought I should have done one more set, oh well next time, and guess what I'm not nearly sore as I was doing disc 17 :eek:
Today I have arms/core I'm going to stay home and do my workout DH took the car I want to do maybe disc 18 or 16 from meso 2 then I have to go groceries after lunch when DH brings the car, he won't be able to come to workout with me at the gym so I'm just going to stay home.

Joey and I did TBS, abs and stretches today. Tomorrow and Friday Joey will be at the beach house. I'm going to catch up with a couple of Cathe's new DVD's. I'll go through them and pick them out tonight. I'm thinking Slide and Glide for one.:D

Pam, We even take time out to walk the beach. It's so beautiful there. Thank you for the compliment on the rug. Rolly is adorable, isn't he?:D Great job on LIC.

This original recipe isn't finger lickin good though, more like butt kickin good :p Oh man, I couldn't even finish all of the bicep curls with the band yesterday, I had to drop the band before it was over. Oh that first leg workout in STS 1 has been a major DOM producer for me both times through. Walking like a 90 year old and failing the toilet test for sure after that one!

Eunice Yep, much easier to eat right when the DHs aren't around, what is up with that huh? He got back last night though and we are going out for dinner and to a concert tonight, so the light eating is over! :rolleyes: I was really good for the last 3 days and my weight didn't change at all. The way it usually works for me though is the first day after I blow the good eating my scale goes lower. My scale is always seeming to be lagging a couple of days behind. I can not believe how fast the days are going. Can you believe it is already December?! Wow. With how hard I workout and sort've try to be careful about my eating I'm always amazed when I see people who don't work out at all and don't seem to watch what they eat at all. Some of them don't look too bad and I am always thinking I should look so much better than I do with how hard I work! I think we look better than we think we do though, we are just kind've obsessive about it :rolleyes::confused: That is the story I am going with anyway :) That is a great idea to give some apple crumble to the teachers, I bet they would enjoy that.
Is it hard for you to think about Christmas with it being so warm there? It's been really warm here until the last couple of days, so it hasn't felt Christmasy at all. I'm not complaining though, I'd rather have the warm weather!

I like your suggestion of using glucosamine. I have heard of it but never tried it. In fact when we had out Boxer we used to give it to him because he had arthritis in his joints. I need to put that on my list!

Janie Great job on TBS, abs and stretches. It will be nice for you to get a chance to try out some of the new workouts while Joey is away. Have fun choosing! I'm glad to hear that you take the time to walk on the beach while you are there and that it's not all just work work work. Sounds like there is an awful lot of that though! It will be nice to get that out of the way while it's cool though so you can go and enjoy the place when the weather is nice in the spring and summer. I love being at the beach during the off season though. It's just so nice and peaceful and relaxing!

This morning for me was Hiit 40/20. I was happy to have a short one this morning because DH got his flight changed and came in last night, but he didn't land until midnight. I set my alarm to make sure I was awake in time to get pick him up because that is past my normal bedtime! So I ended up napping for about 30 minutes and then going to pick him up so we didn't get to bed until about 1 am. Way too late for me! he short workout on the schedule this morning let me sleep a little later though so that was nice. It's going to be another late night tonight because we are going to see Paul Simon :rolleyes: I'm taking a half day vacation tomorrow though so that I can bake the cake for DHs birthday party on Saturday. This morning I did the Timesaver Cardio Premix from Body Max 2. I forgot what was included in that one and thought it was just the 3 combos. I was surprised to find that it was the 3 combos combined 4 times followed by the four cardio blast sections. My legs are still revolting a little from STS on Tuesday and did not want to cooperate this morning. I managed to stumble my way through it though.

Eunice Great job on legs at the gym! LOL! That is too funny about the light weight versus heavier barbell! I have to be careful at home because I have 2 barbells and one weighs 5 pounds and the other 15 so I have to know which one I want to use. I’m not following Cathe’s STS cardio rotations. I’m just choosing my own cardio. My DOMS are a lot better today, still a little sore, but I think I will be ok for a full body on Saturday. The thing will be to see if I can keep it up for 4 weeks straight. Hope you get a really good workout in at home with arms/core. Don’t forget anything at the grocery store!

Janie Great job on TBS, abs, and stretching with Joey! Yea! Please do Slide & Glide! I think it is fun because it is really different than anything Cathe has done before. Can’t wait to hear how you like it!

Pam Great job on 40/20—especially on less sleep! Oh I don’t mind the DOMS! I think it is just my body being shocked by STS. I think I just need to add more stretching in. I am terrible about doing very little or none at all especially since the STS workouts don’t end with a stretch. I’d like to say that my mind says “ok that’s it time to hit the shower” but I am probably just too lazy to use my remote to select the extended stretch. I am actually loving my body’s reaction this time. I am really trying to get the most out of it this time. I think anyone’s first time probably isn’t going to be as good as repeat rounds because you don’t know what is going on or how to give it your all. LOL! Too funny but oh so true about the butt kickin good. We gave Oscar glucosamine even though he didn’t have arthritis because I was worried about it with him being a larger dog. We also give it to Maggie because she has hip dysplasia. It is expensive stuff but I heard it can work wonders. If you stay out too late with Paul, maybe you can nap while the cake is baking!

Did Slide and Glide today. OMG! Loved it! It is truly more different from any workout I've done. For some reason my left foot hurt in some of the moves. I don't know why, (been hurting for the last couple of days) but was extra careful just in case. Tomorrow will be somethin... just don't know which one yet, but need to use weight.

Pam, Yes, I can't wait for us to be done with the beach house. Looks like we need to put a new roof on, been leaks where us and the contractors can't fix. Will cost us about $4,000. We are contracting that work out to a business that works on mobile homes for a living. It's OK though, still worth the price. We really did get a great buy and still in the plus. Once that is done, will be able to continue with our Pergo floors and rugs. In the meantime, working on little things, like making sure the stove tops aren't lopsided, making shelves in closets, painting... Great job on Hiit 40/20. Thank goodness for shorter workouts. Hope you get more rest tonight on your half day off from work to make up for it. But do have fun tonight.

Julie, Great job on Timesaver Cardio prem. You did so good not knowing about the repeat combos. Very proud of you. I did it S&G! Thank you for your suggestion, had a ball.

JanieGood job doing TBS, abs and stretches, have fun working out alone, I don't think I like that anymore working out by my self its boring I'm going to have to get use to again because DH not always its free to come to the gym at the same time.... Pam I hope you have fun at the concert don't eat to too much. So funny that your scale its lagging a couple days behind and mine its broken.:confused: It doesn't feel like Dec at all, its so hot but yesterday and today was cold, weird people were wondering where in the world was warm because over here was cold... That's what I think too, how people that doesn't care about them self look some how good:eek: and ME that I workout 6 days a week and eat clean 99% of the time I don't change I still look the same as before some times I think I'm just going to stop and eat whatever and don't do anything but then again I can't. Maybe you are right we look better than we think we do. I think so too we are just obsessive about it:confused: It doesn't feel like holidays we miss the cold weather in Dec, not summer... Well now that you say that I'm going to have to give it a go and see how hard I work when I'm doing Intensity.
You deff should give it a try to the Glucosamine I think its worth to try.:D It was funny my incident at the gym I was kind of embarrassed because I was feeling pretty good about my self he didn't meant to make feel bad, he even hugged me and kissed me when he pointed that out.
Good job doing 40/20 its being a while since I did that one. Well have fun tonight at the concert and tomorrow baking the cake NOW for this one you need to take pictures of your self..

Julie Good job doing Timesaver Cardio Premix from Body Max 2 I know that one its a tough one I don't know why Cathie named timesaver when in reality its almost the same long as a regular workout? Poor legs of yours I'm glad they cooperated this morning. I hope your DOMS are better by Saturday but sometimes they just need a little push then they wake up and there they are saying "hello" I did got a good workout at home my upper body its sore not as much as I was last week but I can tell that I got a good workout... I think I didn't forget anything at the store this time.:p What kind of glucosamine do you use for Maggie? I mean its special for dogs?

Janie I'm glad you got to do Slide & Glide and that you loved it. Now you just need to be careful with your foot, maybe you are sore from climbing the ladder a bunch of times. Maybe you should do supersets that one its another toughie one using weights.

Yesterday I got to do biceps/triceps core I didn't do cardio because I run out of time I did use disc 13 and 15 to do this.. then I did my groceries.
Today I did shoulders and cardio I did Athletic Step since I didn't did any yesterday I couldn't skipped I was tempted but I didn't all week long was busy doing things so I didn't really clean the house so that's what I did today after working out. I even left my HR monitor on to see how many calories I was going to burn cleaning well I did paused when I finished the workout then right when I started to clean I started on I did 1:35 min working out and 3:00 cleaning I burn 1300 calories whew!!!:confused::eek: I did washed the toilets, vacuum, mopped the floors, and clean 3 rooms, that was a lot of work.. I told DH and funny guy he say "you should clean more often" hahaha!!! :eek: So now I'm dead I didn't took my boy out for a walk maybe tomorrow I will.

Julie Great job on the BM2 cardio premix. When you were describing it I was thinking it doesn't sound like much of a timesaver...:rolleyes: :confused: I guess that is in comparison to the complete 90+ minute workout. It's all relative, right?! Those poor legs are probably wondering what the heck you are doing to them! I am just like you, just never feel like adding in those extra stretches. Even during regular end of workout stretches, I'm always thinking that part seems like it lasts forever! I'm glad your body is reacting so well to STS this time. I think you're right that it helps some knowing what to expect and you can feel a little freer to push yourself. I think it is a good idea to give big dogs glucosamine. We really noticed a difference in Shamrock when he started taking it. Hmmm...I'm liking your cat nap idea! For me it would literally be a cat nap because there would be 2 of them sleeping on top of me! :rolleyes:

Janie Great job on Slide and Glide! It's a blast isn't it?! For your weight workout I definitely recommend total body trisets. It's a killer but really good. It caused me some major DOMS though!
Oh no, I hate unexpected expenses, especially a $4000 one! Yikes! Glad to hear that you will still be coming out ahead though. I can't wait until you get those floors down, I think you will see such a big difference then! No lopsided stove tops sounds like a good thing!!

Eunice Oh we had so much fun at the concert but I did eat way too much. First they put this bread on the table that was just so unbelievably good. It has a really nice crusty crust with sesame seeds which are my favorite! I ended up having 2 pieces of that with butter and wanted more. Then I had this pasta with osso bucco on top. Oh man. This is the restaurant where I took the pasta cooking class and they make their own pasta. I love pasta and ate way too much. We did some dancing at the concert though so I at least burned a little teeny tiny bit of it off! We were so glad that DH had gotten the earlier flight out of LAX after seeing that the Santa Ana winds knocked out the power at the airport later that day and all kinds of people were stranded. He was supposed to be on the red eye so would not have made it out of there! Whew!
Maybe we should just throw our dumb scales away, huh?! :D Actually I hate my scale sometimes, but it is my best tool for keeping things in check so I just have to put up with it. That is weird that you are getting that cold weather now, hopefully it won't last long. We are having cold mornings (frost this morning!) but then mid 60's during the day so pretty nice.
That's funny, I do the same thing. When I get frustrated I'm always telling DH that I'm going to stop working out and just sit around and pig out. He just nods and rolls his eyes because he knows that will never happen.
You need to report back to us after you do Intensity on which part is the hardest. I think the Hiit just feels hard because she kicks our butts so bad during step!
awww, your DH sounds like a sweetie giving you a hug and kiss when he told you you were being a weenie! ;):p Ha JK! You should not be embarrassed though, it's an easy mistake.
Great job on bis/tris/core. Did you do ALL of discs 13 and 15?? That is a long workout session! Great job on AS too, such a fun one! ow 1300 calories is great! So you don't know how much of that was the workout and how much was the clean max?

So as I said the concert was really fun. It's amazing how long Paul Simon has been around and how many songs he has! He was playing one song and they put a big blow up of the original 45 of it on the screen behind him. It was from 1972! His voice is fantastic, it hasn't changed at all. He did my very favorite - Diamonds on the soles of her shoes and also a really nice acoustic version of Bridge over Troubled Water. We were hoping Art Garfunkle would come running out and join him on that, but no luck :D;) So I'm tired this morning but not too bad. Since I'm working a half day and working at home I slept in until 6:30! That was nice. Then I did KPC, which is always a goodie. Have a great day and Happy Friday everyone!

Last night I did disc 2, back & triceps! My chest and shoulder DOMS have finally faded away and my leg DOMS are gone but I do have some hamstring tightness that I think I need to stretch or foam roll out. Last night went pretty smoothly but I did find out that having not done chin-ups/pull-ups for so long has made me lose what I had built up. I had to do one set, take a break, and then finish the 12 reps out with another set. When we got to the pull-ups, I couldn’t do any—unless you count halfsies! Oh well, STS is a challenge for a reason. Anyway, this morning I did Cycle Max.

Janie Great job on S&G! How’d you like the cardio gliding section? Those discs really work your inner thighs, I think. And I love the tricep pushups with arm extension. Those really make you feel your triceps working. What a bummer about the roof on the beach house but better you find it now than after you have finished all the work on it.

Cleaning can be quite the workout but who wants to do that every day for their work out? Not me. Although I do have to do it once a week at least or I will be swimming in dog hair. I think Cathe can get away with calling it a Timesaver because the full Body Max 2 workout is 97 minutes long so 43 minutes is pretty short compared to that. My DOMS are doing pretty good. I think I will be ok for a total body workout tomorrow. Although we will see how I feel when I get up and started. We use regular glucosamine for humans. I buy it at Wal-mart. I use a pill crusher to crush it up and then put it in her food.

Pam Great job on KPC! Glad you had such a good time at the concert. I love crusty bread and sesame seeds so I am impressed you stopped at two pieces. Lucky girl getting to work from home and only a ½ day! Yeah, that’s crazy that 43 minutes is still a timesaver workout. LOL! I feel the same way about the stretches at the end of workouts. I’m like “is this done yet”. I mean it feels good and I know it is a good thing but I just want to move on to the shower and my day sometimes. Shamrock is such a cute name for a dog. I love it. I find that when I nap with Maggie, I have the deepest nap. Nighttime sleeping is a different story though. Of course, Maggie doesn’t sleep on top of me thank goodness.

Did After Burn today. OMG! I don't know what else to tell you. Well, beside sweating like a pig, it's a very hard workout. I didn't have Dixie cups so used plastic cups instead. This workout didn't make me look good at all.:confused: Challenging for sure. Our roof will be put in about a weeks time or so. Can't Wait! Then we can continue to plan. See what I mean moving two steps forward and one step back? Gosh darn it. Well, it will be done soon enough, at least before Spring.

Eunice, Great job on biceps/triceps core, grocery shopping. Today's shoulders, core and AS and cleaning the house and burning up 1300 calories. Wow is right! I'm going to do some cleaning right now.:D

Pam, I do love S&G, but AB is sooooo challenging. I'll do Trisets next time. I think you are right, once the painting and floors are in, it will be so much nicer. I love Paul Simon too. Always good. Sounds like you had a fabulous time. Great job on KPC, I love that one.
