Janie Glad that you toe is a bit better. It will take time to heal to don't push it too much. For me I think it is the commuting that gets to me more that work. Good job on UBP.

Pam 11 weeks.....crazy isn't it. I would like to take 3 months off at once but I would be afraid that I wouldn't want to go back to work after that. Too bad that you don't have a video of the dance. That would have been cool to see. Way to go on Disk 14 even if you were a bit stiff.

Julie Don't worry about not being able to do the levitation holds. Even just trying them works your abs. It sounds as if our crappy weather is here to stay for a while. Don't you hate it when the office you work in doesn't know how to regulate the AC. Pam goes through the same thing at work and normally I do too but it has been so cold here that the AC hasn't kicked in yet (if ever....). Wow 110 degrees I don't think we have even gotten up to 70 for the past week or so.

Eunice We are able to carry over 7 weeks of vacation, but if you have more than that at year end you get paid out what is in excess of 7 weeks. A sweater and pants is fine for winter but it is suppose to be summer here :confused:. I think all of our hot weather decided to go back east so they get really hot weather.

Well this morning I slept in until 5:30 :eek:. I got up around 6 and fed the cats and had a leisurely breakfast. Then around 8 I did Circut Max. It felt good to get moving again. After that I did some running around and so tiding up. Tomorrow is Bootcamp.

Did Gym Style Chest and Triceps. I needed that. I also (because of suggestions) was able to use my stair climber for cardio. Yeah! I'll so that tomorrow.

Eunice, Great job on yesterdays 30/30 and High Reps Lower Body and today's disc 8 back and triceps, and abs. Those are tough workouts! Enjoy Harry Potter tonight.

Pam, Hmmmm never thought of the ABC workout. I'll give it a try. I do have a stationary bike, I'll give that a try as well. Wow, all of a sudden there might be plenty of cardio to do. I'm sooooo pleased. Na, I don't have access to a pool. That would have great. Great job on SM. Your evening with the moon, friends and I'm assuming your car top down (not you LOL:D) sounds like a fantastic evening.

, Great job on MMA Fusion. You know, I have an exercise equipment that while you do your squats the machine spots me. It's really nice not having to worry about trying to get someone over to help you spot your squats. I think that's why I love them so much. If you don't have one, (a spotter) then please be safe and use the plyo legs. Thank you for your suggestions. I can row our real row boat in our little lake. Why didn't I think of that? I can't wait for better weather to do this. Right now it's raining, the 3rd day.

This morning I did Plyo Legs! It was tough, fun, and got me good and sweaty. Last night I was using a knife to get a pit out of an avocado and the knife slipped and jammed me in the palm of my hand below my middle finger. I felt it hit bone it went in so far. DH came in and bandaged me up. I don't think I will need stitches but we will see how it does today. I was really worried I wouldn't be able to hold a dumbbell but I didn't do too bad this morning. Isn't that sad that my first thought when the knife went is was "oh no I won't be able to hold a dumbbell!"

Today is cleaning day and then we are going to go to my parents to swim. :eek:

Cheryl Sounds like you had the perfect start to your vacation. Isn't funny to say "sleeping in" till 5:30? I did the same thing today sleeping in until 5:30. Our dogs don't let us sleep much past 4:30 or 5 since that is what time they are used to us feeding them during the week. Have fun with Bootcamp!

Janie Great job on GS C&T! I think that is one of my all time favorites. I get DOMS every time! Glad you are finding more ways to get cardio in. I know I would be frustrated if I couldn't workout like I wanted to. Hope your weather turns around too.

Julie Great job on MMA fusion. That is my favorite of the MMA discs, I fell like it's the most challenging. I am with you on not really liking to work my shoulders. For me I think it's because I'm usually having an issue with one of them. Great job on olio legs too, so glad to hear you enjoyed it. I remember being really afraid of those the first time because everyone was talking bout how hard they were, but I just love them. They are tough but really fun. So sorry about your hand injury, ouch! It's pretty funny that your main concern was being able to hold dumbbells. I think if anyone can relate though, it's this group. Well maybe not Miss I have a broken toe but am going to do IMax 2 ;) Sorry Janie, I couldn't resist!

Janiegreat job on GS, so glad you got in a good workout and cardio too. I bet you are relieved to know that you do have a lot of cardio options available. I thick I would oanic if I thought I wasn't going to be able to do cardio for several weeks! Rowing in a real boat, what a great idea! That sounds like fun, I hope your weather cooperates so that you can do that.

This morning for me was disc 15 back and biceps. I really struggled with the biceps today and couldn't finish all of the reps on a couple of the sets. My biceps were already a little sore because we skiied last night for the first tie in 2 weeks, but I don't want to use that. As an excuse. Now it's catching up on laundry run to the store, do some cooking, get I another ski and the to my mom's for dinner. Whew! Have a great Saturday/Sunday everyone!

Pam, LOL!:eek: You are too funny. I would't have been able to resist too. LOL Yes, it is really nice to know there are alternative cardio out there. The weather is not cooperating for a row boat trip on our lake. Darn! Great job with disc 15 back and biceps. You did very well considering skiing the day before. Have a great rest of the day with all your chores and visits.

Julie, Great job on today's plyo legs. OMG! Do be careful to make sure your hand doesn't get infected. What is wrong with us?!?:confused: I have to agree with Pam. When all we are worried about is if we can continue to workout when parts of our body gets injured. LOL That is our group. It's determination. I love the way we think. Enjoy the rest of the day and your swim at your parents. Sounds like a lot of fun.

A rest day for me today.

The bid went up to $50.00 on my necklace. Yahoo! It was so much fun. I even invited the ones that participated in the auction that if they want, I would make each of them a money necklace to purchase for $50.00 and I would also make them earrings for free. What a deal.

Janie Glad that you are able to use your stair climber to get your cardio in and good job on GS Chest and Triceps. I always feel that workout. It was raining really bad here yesterday too. I am waiting for better weather too but I am beginning to feel as if we will never get it.

Julie Ouch I hope your hand is OK. Funny how when something like this happens our first thought is not being able to workout. Good job on pylo legs.

Pam I hadn't done Circuit Max in a long time either. It was an easier one that I thought I would go with since my workouts have been sporatic. It is hard going back to work no matter how much time you have had off. Skiing would really work your biceps so don't worry that you couldn't finish all of the reps.

Yesterday I did bootcamp in the pouring rain. It was fun but I sure did get drenched. It rained so bad yesterday that they cancelled the soccer game between Vancouver and Salt Lake City. The rain made me so snoozy yesterday that all I could do was veg out on the couch the whole day. Last night around 10:30 we had quite a little thunderstorm that I swear was right over our roof. Our whole place shook with the thunder. This morning I went to yoga. So far I have been able to clean out a few drawers and cubboards. It is amazing on how much stuff you can accumulate and you look at it and go why am I keeping this :confused:.

Julie Good job on MMA:Fusion I did that one last Saturday too. I love to workout my shoulders because I have a very weak shoulders I want to get them nice and round. I hope you had fun doing disc 27;) how's the weight doing? are you lifting pretty heavy? I didn't get doms as bad as I thought I would I think my legs are getting the hang of it or I didn't lift heavy enough:confused:

Cheryl at least you'll get paid which is not bad at all... I'm glad that you are getting some sleep:D and being able to pick your workout and just do it with out any worries! Good job! Yesterday we had rain ALL day long. It was good because it was rest day, lazy day! Its funny how you say that the thunderstorm was right over your roof!! If it was me I wouldn't had any trouble sleeping!

JulieGlad to hear that you love plyo legs .. So sorry that you cut your self, I got one of those on one of my fingers ones and I thought that same, that it would be hard to hold my dumbells... to funny though, take care of that hand! (a tip on how to get the avocado seed out is hit the seed with the knife like if you are going to cut it in the middle then just a little twist and then is out you just hit the seed or knife somewhere else in the kitchen sink so you don't have to touch it);) Have fun cleaning and swimming!

Saturday I got up early, yes early and did MMA:Fusion it was good I felt just a little awkward because I did it inside the house and the floor felt slippery but it was fine for Saturday workout. We went to the movies gash! $79.00 for all of us to see a movie expensive! Yesterday was a rest day raining all day we watch movies cook chicken chilli yummy!! then get ready for school today, lunches, uniforms, get the girls early on bed and all that stuff.. Today Monday its a leg day I have disc 12 wow! it was fast this is my last week of meso 1 good!! I notice that in meso1 Cathe doesn't use the regular group of girls but only for legs and it didn't bother me at all before but now that I noticed I feel like there is some one missing in the dvd:p:eek: just silly of me..:p

Well I have to tell you guys that last night I had this weird dream I was being asked if I like someone and I keep saying NO then I show my wedding rings to this person to prove that I was married then he say if it is true you have to prove cutting your wrist off and he grabbed a lemon and cut my wrist I didn't see any blood, I just saw my hand hanging off just been held by my skin then I woke up just before I got it fix.... what a dream I was checking if I had my hand on the right place whew!!!:confused::mad::p

Cheryl So your bootcamp class is outside? Wow, great job doing that in the pouring rain, it would certainly make it interesting....:rolleyes: I love those thunderstorms, but would rather not have them in the middle of the night. It sounds like you are being productive on your staycation. Don't work too ahrd though!

Eunice Hooray! So glad that your tires were a ble to be fixed and you don't have to buy new ones. It's bad enough having to buy them when they are worn out, but awful if you didn't even get to use them for their whole life.
Don't go getting any silly ideas, I still don't like those Jeannie hops, I was just recommending them for Janie :p I'm glad to hear that you had a nice weekend and that the kids are back at school now, I know that will give you a little more time. Oh yes, skiing is great for my arms and shoulders...my DH used to say that he likes my skiing shoulders :) I did STS in the winter last time to try to keep those shoulders going all winter.
Great job on MMA Fusion and doing it without slipping on that slippery floor. Holy cow $79 for the movies is crazy!! How much is each ticket? Yummm, I love chicken chili, I bet it was really good. OMG, your dream was terrible! I think a dream like that might put me in a bit of a funk all day. I hope it didn't freak you out too much!

Saturday was quite the busy day for me with the workout, errands, cooking and dinner. I told my mother I was bringing the food over for dinner since it was my idea so I made everything and brought it over. We did get a ski in too so that was good. Yesterday was my rest day and I had a pool party to go to. I made strawberry cheesecake truffles and this marcarpone filled cake with sherried berries to take. Yummm, they were both really good. I was glad because I had never made either recipe before so you never know. This morning my workout was Hiit DWP and the abs from LIC. It seems like every time I do DWP I'm expecting it to be easier than it is....:rolleyes::confused: Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great Monday/Tuesday!

This morning I did HiiT 30/30 and the Heavy Bag Bonus from MMA Boxing. Tonight will be the start of week 2 in Meso 3 with Chest & Back!

Pam Great job on disc 15! I hate when I struggle with my weights. I try to remind myself that we all have strong and weak days. Take advantage of the strong days but don’t beat yourself up over the weaker days. Great job on DWP + LIC abs! I feel the same way about expecting CCC to get easier each time I do it. No such luck so far. Your desserts from Sunday sound very delicious. I have never had sherried berries before. They sound interesting.

Janie Great job on the stair climber for 30 min! Sounds like you found something that might work while your toe heals. Wow! $50 is awesome for your auction! That is so cool!

Cheryl Great job on your drenched bootcamp workout and yoga! Isn’t it a great feeling to declutter? I try to do that every once in a while. I always end up with boxes and bags of stuff to donate to Goodwill and I have the same thought as you. Why did I buy/keep this junk for so long? I do have a motto when I am spring cleaning like that: If I haven’t used it in a few years, I obviously don’t need it anymore.

Eunice Great job on MMA Fusion! Don’t you just love the turtle spins?! $79 for the movies! That is outrageous! What a crazy dream! I have had dreams about being punched in the stomach and then wake up and my fists are pushing on my stomach. My weights are ok for STS. I feel like I lift pretty heavy for my upper body except maybe my shoulders. I have to draw a fine line between heavy enough to build my muscles but not too heavy that I stress my shoulder joints out. I went more moderate weight on plyo legs since it is kind of endurance based.

Pam Yep bootcamp is outside and out of the 5 sessions I have done so far three of them have been in the pouring rain. I come home soaking wet, covered with grass and mud but I have fun. You sure had a busy weekend. Your strawberry cheesecake truffles and marcarpone filled cake sounds yummy. Hiit DWP is my favorite of the three and no it never is easy.

This morning I did Lower Body Blast premix that had the standing leg and the leg conditioning drills. My butt is really feeling it right now. After that I did a bunch of housework and some running around. The weather still sucks here, it rained this morning and it isn't very warm. Tomorrow I am meeting up with a friend and her 4 yr old son and we are going to the park for a while. Hopefully the weather will be OK.

Pam Let's hope that it stay that way with out any unexpected expenses !! Everything here is so much expensive I think its like $17-18 per adult and $12 fro child, yeah that's right we don't go to the movies or eat out because of that. I bet it does you have a very nice define arms :D Haha!! Yeah I'm almost done with the pushups crazy huh! I know horrible dream something funny though is that while getting something out of my night stand I pulled to hard using my hands the wrong way and I got hurt both of them! :mad::p... Yesterday I did legs disc 12 I felt it pretty good after that I did some vacuuming and I think that messed with my back working out legs and right after that doing that didn't match :mad: weird because I couldn't even sleep last night I had to take some Tylenol, motrin... I was worried that I wouldn't be able to WO today but I did. I also took Sam for a walk poor Sam it was a while since we went out, and yesterday he got a bath he was all fluffy and clean then today I did the mistake of let him run free and he went straight to the dirty water :mad: so mad he can smell the water from far away!! then got back and did kickmax then after that I was just doing little here and there, DH is not home so no worries about dinner tonight, I'll go bed early and try to catch up with my sleep.

Cheryl Oh boy, bootcamp outside sounds like so much fun, even in the pouring rain. It sounds like one of those mud runs which I have been dying to do. One of the guys who was at the party yesterday kept posting on my wall that he had strawberry cheesecake truffles for breakfast and then for lunch yesterday. :)
Great job on LBB premix, how is that butt feeling today?! Our weather is just the opposite of yours. It was already 84 degrees at 7 am. Today it's supposed to be 94, tomorrow 97, and up to 100 for the weekend. Lake here we come! I hope you get some nice weather for your trip to the park.

Eunice Man those are crazy movie prices. I don't go to the movies very often already though because I can't stay awake unless I go in the afternoon. I was trying to remember the last time I went to a theater and I couldn't. I think it might've been the movie about the big blue people at the Imax. I can't remember what that movie was called..... :confused::rolleyes: Did you hurt your hands before you went to bed and had that crazy dream? Maybe that was what caused it since your hands were hurting?!
Great job on disc 12, but sorry to hear tha tyou messed up your back :confused:and kickmax. Oh that must've been frustrating for you when your clean dog went right in the dirty water errrr :rolleyes: I hope your back doesn't give you any issues sleeping tonight! It is kind've nice getting a break from cooking when the hubbies aren't home isn't it? mine is in Boston until Wednesday so dinner is quick and easy.

This morning for me was disc 16 Chest, shoulders, triceps. Not my most favorite parts to work, but I was mostly spot on with my weights except for the shoulder front presses. My shoulder is definitely getting a bit stronger though so that's a good thing. Have a great Tuesday/Wednesday folks!

Last night I did disc 28, Chest & Back. It was a really good workout. This morning I tried to kill myself by doing the first half of Maximum Intensity Cardio (not the step portion) and adding on Cathe’s Cardio Quick Fix. Let’s just say I haven’t seen a calorie burn that high in quite a while! :eek: I think I lost 5 pounds just through sweat! :rolleyes:

Cheryl Great job on LBB! That one is so much fun to do but I haven’t done it forever. That is the one downside to STS-not being able to do some of the fun weight workouts. I hope your weather is going well today so you can enjoy the park.

Janie Great job on GS BSB! Gym Styles is so good isn’t it! You think it won't get you and then the next morning you're really feeling it! It looks like your business is really taking off with big auctions and commissioned work.

Eunice Great job on disc 12 and then Kick Max! Vacuuming takes a lot out of you (or at least it does me!). That is so cute about the turtle spins and Sam wanting to play. My dogs pretty much stay out of my way except when I am doing bench presses and they always end up getting hit in the head with the bar. Not hard but still-ouch! My Maggie is just like Sam. As soon as I let her out after a bath, she rolls around in the grass and picks up all this dirt and stuff. Ugh!

Pam Great job on disc 16 especially since you can tell your shoulders are getting stronger. I seem to be harder on myself when it comes to weights than cardio. For some reason if I am struggling with weights, I get frustrated with myself. But with cardio, if I am having problems keeping up I blame it on not getting good sleep and give myself a pat on the back for at least trying. It is just so hard to want to lift heavier and your body just says no.

Eunice That is too funny about Sam thinking that you wanted to play when you were doing the turtle spins. I hope your back is OK today. My back was giving me grief after doing the vacuuming. Children say the darnest things don't they. Don't listen to her you are not old. That LBB premix was a hard one but fun.

Pam I enjoy working out outside, it is so much different than being indoors. Someone really liked your strawberry cheesecake truffles didn't they. My butt wasn't too bad today. A little sore but not bad. You guys are really getting some hot weather back east. We are still in the 60s here. Good job on disc 16 and that your shoulder is getting stronger.

Julie The first half of Maximum Intensity Cardio is a calorie burn in itself. I will have to look at what Cathe's Cardio Quick Fix is. LBB is my favorite lower body workout.

Today I did Intensity. I was going to do the whole thing but my back was really bothering me during the step portion so I left out the Hiit Hi and just finished with the Hiit Lo. It is so fustrating to have back problems. After that I met my friend and her son and went to the park. The weather wasn't that great but at least it wasn't raining.

Too funny when we were in 20 Palms movies were $1 so I could take a good nap while watching the movie if it wasn't any good but here we had being to the movies only 3 times... Not fun!

Julie wow you are working really, really, really hard I can't wait to see your pictures!! Good job on disc 28 and MIC which one is the Cathe's cardio quick fix? I'm sure is in one of the rotations but I don't know which one. Love my Sam.

Cheryl Sam is very funny, he knows hes dayle routine and he loves it...my back its a lot better but I'm going to take some more motrin I'm glad that next week is active recovery week;) Nice job on Intensity I know that back we have to be very careful :confused: I'm glad your weather was good today.

Today I did disc 10 chest/should/biceps I love this combination (today because is the last disc of meso1):p the pushups weren't to bad if I do them on my knees but I deff felt them I felt my upper body shaking :D I also did core from High reps and from STS total body they are not to long so it was just perfect! Before workout I took Sam for a walk but this time he stay on the leash the whole time he doesn't like it though but he did good. Another easy day we are "single" that what I told the girls when dad is not home, they say "mom you are not single you are married" I know but we have easy afternoons, not worried to to much about dinner that's how much single I feel!! Stair climb for 30 min. and walked Rolly for 20 min. It will surprise me if the people that wanted the Money Necklaces go back on their word. Just a feeling I have. They are procrastinating.

Eunice, Great job on disc 12 legs and today's exercise. So sorry you are having such a bad day. I sometimes get days like that too. Usually from lack of sleep as you did. Hope you rest better today. My toe is still very tender, it will take time. I'd say until Aug. 14th to be able to go full blast.

Julie, Great job on yesterday's disc 28 chest and back and today's MIC (first half) and adding on Cardio Quick Fix. You are working so hard! Keep up the good work. I want to sweat like that!

Cheryl, We are having much more rain than normal too.:( Great job on Intensity. I love that one! It's ok to modify, you did great.

Eunice, I hate that too when the computer crashes. And it always seem to happen when there is a long post. Great job on disc 10, chest, shoulder, and biceps and the push ups. Yep, they do get the upper body shaking for sure. Also great on the core work and the walk with Sam. Bet he loved it!

You know, I am the same way as you when it comes to being mad when I can't do the heavier weights but being able to shrug it off if my cardio is not up to par. Interesting....hmmmmmmm. I think I will try to keep that in mind.

Cheryl I would love to find some kind of outdoor class to do to mix things up. I'm pretty set in my ways just going upstairs to do my workout, but I did really enjoy going to the gym again when we were out of town.
Glad to hear your butt wasn't too bad yesterday after that LBB workout! It sounds like our lows are higher than your highs right now. This morning when I went out to feed the cat at 5:30 it as already steamy. We usually have really high humidty too which makes it feel hotter. I like it hot though, so I'm not complaining!
Great job on Intensity but sorry to hear that your back is bothering you again. You did the hardest part though - I think the step portion of that one is the killer. Glad to hear you at least had ok weather for your trip to the park.

hahahahah - our dinners aren't the best when the hubbies are away huh? he doesn't get home til late tonight but I will have to make dinner for the kids so it won't be frozen yogurt and wine tonight :D

Well it's been a busy morning. I started writing this 2 hours ago and am just now getting back to it. This morning was Athletic Step and yoga abs for me. I just can't get through that whole plank series at the end without my hands getting completely numb :confused: And the crocodile? Forget about it! Last night I had to drop some mail off at my mother's and there is a new frozen yogurt place in the shopping center down the street from her. It's one of those serve yourself places with all kinds of toppings where you pay by the weight. Since I was alone it made the perfect dinner :D I topped it with lots of fresh fruit, so that's a good thing right? ;) Dessert was a glass of wine while I read my book at home. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed that dinner :p I better get this posted now before something else comes up. Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday/Thursday!
