Strength in Numbers

Cheryl I hope you can find the time to workout and good job on BC and yoga:D enjoy your out side weather don't worry about posting now I know that when we don't hear from you is because you are having an awesome time... :p

Julie good job running I haven't see that movie? We had a really good weekend. Well get set, ready, and goooo... Oh boy this is your week I hope you get to enjoy meso 3 as much as the other meso, I can't wait to see and hear all about your results.

Janie I'm glad that you had fun with your family that is very important as well, but now is time to workout:p Thanks for your sweet comments and yes I miss my husband during the week but we have so much fun in the weekend it make me love him even more, I even see him more handsome:eek:;) I saw your necklace it looks really cool. I hope your toe get better soon, do you know if you broke it or just had a bruise?

Hello Pam Can't wait to hear from you!

Today I did legs disc 9 week 3 I really like it, it was sooo cold in the garage but it didn't took to long for me to start sweating, it was good, kind of fast! but that's alright I also did core weights & plates with out the plates the hard floor in the garage didn't let me use it but I did the climb mountains and some other moves to finish the workout.
Saturday I did one of Cathe Cardio hits power max I haven't done that one to to often so I kind of felt silly doing it at first but then it got me really good.
Yesterday the heather broke but thanks goodness that someone come today and fix it it was freezing so I HAVE to BAKE to kept the house warm hahaha!! a good excuse huh? I really don't need a excuse for doing that. Tomorrow if it is a good day no raining I might drive to the city with the girls DH didn't want to spent hes weekend driving which was fine with me, just because this is going to be my first time driving to Melbourne and I get a little nervous. Well have a good Sunday/Monday for me. and almost gonne!;):p

Hi ladies, I'm baaaaccck! Wow, the week went by so fast! It looks like you have all been doing great with your workouts and also got some fun in for the 4th and Canada day. Janie I can't believe you broke your toe :( I hope it heals quickly. I need to go take a look at that money necklace, it sounds so cool. And a $30 bid is awesome. Congratulations!! Julie I read your post about Imax 3 missing something and it made me laugh out loud. I explained to my DH, but I don't think he really understood. Cheryl So glad to hear that you are getting some nice weather and getting out and enjoying it too! Eunice Sorry you didn't get to enjoy the 4th of July with us, but so nice that you got to spend some time with DH and make him a fabulous dinner. I'm sure he appreciated that.

I'll give just a quick recap of the week. We had so much fun and the weather was perfect. We stayed at BIL and SIL's house and they have a pool which was really nice. The Cedar Point trip was a blast. They do twilight tickets that start at 5pm until they close at 10, so we got there Tuesday in time to do that. The lines were so short that after Tuesday night I told DH I didn't even need to go to the park on Wednesday, but of course we did. We rode all of the roller coasters and had so much fun. We were all exhausted and ready to leave by 5:00 on Wednesday so got back to Erie by 8. Thursday was a big day with pedicures and our dance lesson. The wedding was Saturday and it was beautiful and so much fun. Eunice, we did take lots of pictures so will be posting them on FB hopefully sometime this week. I'm hoping that someone got a video of our dance because it was just a blast!
I ate a lot of things that I don't usually eat but I didn't get crazy and did get some workouts in. On Sunday my SIL and I went for a 2 mile walk, Monday and Tuesday I ran 3 miles each day, Thursday I went with my SIL to a step interval class at her gym, Friday we did CCC (!) from the download and on Saturday we went to a step class at her gym again. This morning I did 30/30 and med ball abs. I am starting meso 2 over again this week because of havng the break in the middle instead of just picking up with week 3. Have a great Monday/Tuesday everyone.

Pam

I completely forgot to post on Saturday. I did get a spin workout in for 50 minutes and then did Stretch Max 3 (with the band). After that, DH and I ran errands, took the truck in to get an alignment, Oscar to the vet, and we moved half of my mom’s sectional couch to our house. My mom recently got a new couch and love seat so she gave DH and I her old sectional. Even though it is almost 15 years old it is in really good condition so we were excited to get her hand-me-downs. We brought the other half home on Sunday and then spent the rest of the day being lazy and lounging on our newsed sofa! :D

This morning I did HiiT DWP! Is it just me or is that 1 minute rest in between pyramids really only 30 seconds? Anyway, tonight when I get home I will be starting Meso 3 with Chest and Back! My two favorite muscles to work!!!

Janie Taking time off from exercising sounds like it did your mind and body well. Good luck with the rotation (I know you will rock it out)! The money necklace looks very interesting and you are right that there is not another one like it in the world. I sure hope your toe gets better. :(

Cheryl Great job on Bootcamp and yoga! That is great that you will be going on vacation starting this Friday. Are you going anywhere or is it going to be a staycation? Whichever it is that is exciting that you will get some you time coming up for a couple of weeks!

Eunice Great job on disc 9 and W&P! That ab workout is the hardest of the ab circuits in my opinion. I also think the leg workouts in Meso 1 go by so fast but that is a good thing to me! Great job on Power Max too. I haven’t done that one in forever but I always chuckle a little at the older Cathe workouts with the scrunchies and thongs! Ugh! No heat!! At least you could run the oven to get the temperature up and it looks like you got it fixed pretty quick so that is nice. Hope you had fun going to Melbourne!

Pam So glad you are back. It looks like you did have a blast and packed so much in to such a little time. I’m impressed with how much workouts you got in too. I think it is a good idea to start meso 2 over again since you were off a week. Hehe! Glad you liked the Imax 3 comment! :p My DH would not have gotten it either. But I don’t get what he talks about to me most of the time either!

Have a great Monday!

I did IMAX2 this morning! OMG! I only did 4 intervals. I couldn't do the fast feet on the top of the step. Can't figure that one out. It may not have looked spectacular, but I did it and I sweated a headband full. Yeah! Now, to soak my toe in ice water. That was torture for sure. Hmmmmm.

Update on Toe: Shouldn't have workout. My toe is so swollen and hurting really bad. Gosh darn it!

Eunice, Glad to hear you and your hubby have good times on the weekends. Yep, I'm certain my toe broken. But, it's healing up pretty good. At least I'm walking almost normal now. Still need to baby it especially when I do workouts. Ice water helps with that. Great job on disc 9 week 3, core weights and plates. Substituting counts, it's all good. Power Max is one of my favorites, good job on that. If the house is cold, then bake away. I'm glad I'm not there, I'd eat everything you cooked! LOL Hope you get that heater fixed soon. Dress warm. Are you a day ahead of us? That would mean I'm talking to you from the future! What's it like being in the future? LOL

Pam, So good to have you back! It sounds so fabulous and FUN! I can handle little roller coasters, but not the big ones. But, watching those brave souls are exciting enough for me. LOL:rolleyes: Can't wait for pictures. So proud of you for getting in some workouts. You are better than me for sure. Walking, running, step intervals, CCC (I forgot about those workouts). I'd say you kept up on all your exercises while you were gone. I'm impressed. Great job on this mornings 30/30 and med ball abs. Love your plan on meso 2. You ars such an inspiration. I'm doing July 2010 of Cathe's rotation. Hard with a broken toe, but I'm doing it and very determined.

Love you guys,

Janie

Hi PamGlad to have you back, I'm pretty sure that when you have NO worries and everything it supposed to be fun the time flys pretty fast, pretty good that you even got workouts:confused: that is awesome if I was you I probably wouldn't had a workout in I would it take the chance to just be a lazy bomb eating and having fun.... Can't wait to see the pictures!!!! Did you dressed up really nice and pretty?;) Good for you for getting back to your workouts I bet it wasn't hard since you had being pretty active, I think doing meso2 all over its a good idea.:D

Julie Sounds like you did have a pretty busy Sat/Sun running all those errands, and spending the day just being lazy sounds good to me:p that's fun too good job on 30/30 I think when you get to the top of the pyramid is when you get one minute rest. Doesn't? Oh boy, enjoy chest/back I think that is also my favorite muscles to work because I feel such a strong girl. Did you see that I did tagged you on FB with 2 of my brownies recipes? I think they are pretty good if you have a chance you should go and check them out:D

Cheryl reading Julie's post I see that I missed something? are you going vacation? I went back to read the past posts but I didn't see anything.:D Oh well, have fun!!

Janie, Janie, Janie. Ouch! Ouch!take a break, maybe just doing upper body? Hope the cold water make you feel better! I know we are desperate I have been there when I hurt my ankle once, hopefully you don't go one step backward instead of two forward.... just take care did you ever when to see a Dr?:p Did you see my brownies? they are soooo good!!:p I'm glad that the heather was broke for just a day, it was pretty cold 13 degrees inside:eek: but now its fine. Yes I'm a day ahead of you guys nothing interesting really just that I'm old a day ahead:D:mad:

Today we got up early compared with another days we left home @9:30 stop to get some gas and pull some money out and off we went. I didn't get up early to workout I was too cold and lazy when I think about you guys getting up @5-6 or what ever time you all need to so anyways I was a little worried about driving to Melbourne but we got there safe, we went to try to change Rachel's boots when we got them we didn't noticed that one was size 7 and the other one was size 8 but bad luck today the place where we bought them were closed, so we just walk wondering around we bought sushi for lunch, oh something funny there is a truck selling churros and Stacy and Rachel say "I feel Mexican today, can we get some churros?" yeah Mexican and churros not the best combination!!!! so we got back at home @2pm yayay!!! so excited I just finished my workout I did 40/20 and the step portion of Intensity minus the last interval my legs are so sooooo sore from yesterday workout and of course everything I do I can feel my muscles getting even more sore.
Have a good night and talk to you guys latter!

Julie How are you enjoying spinning? Do you have some spin DVDs that you do? I have one spinervals but I haven't done it in a long time. I can't wait to try Cathe's though. Great job on spinning, stretching and Hiit DWP! I agree, those 1 minute rests in the Hiits sure go a lot faster than the 1 minutes rests in STS don't they?!
Congrats on the new sectional, I just love hand me down furniture!

Janie OMG, I can't believe you did ANY Imax 2 intervals with a broken toe!!! Ay yi yi!! I hope that toe is doing better with that ice water.
Oh I just love the roller coasters, the bigger the better. I do confess that I have to close my eyes sometimes though and I don't put my arms up in the air like the rest of my family does. They always make fun of me for holding on but I don't care. I still haven't looked at Cathe's July 2010 rotation since I'm in the middle of STS, but will be looking for your review to see if I want to remember it for later.

Eunice Thanks for the welcome back. It's good to be home, but I could've used a few more days off work, if only to get the laundry done! I was happy to get as many workouts in as I did while we were gone, you never know when you are on vacation. My SIL is pretty active though, so it made it easier since I had a workout buddy.
You are having cold weather and we are having hot hot hot. It's supposed to be 101 today and 100 tomorrow. Then we have a cold front and it will 'only' be 89 on Thursday!. :)
Good for you on your drive to Melbourne, but sorry to hear that the store you needed to go to was closed  I guess that means you will be having to go back again.
Wow, great job on 40/20+ Step portion of Intensity!! That is the hardest part of that disc!

OK, so this morning was my restart of meso 2 with disc 13 Chest, shoulders and triceps. I'm still weak in my right shoulder but just dropped my weights down and kept on trucking. I definitely must've messed up my 1RM test on the incline flies because it said that I needed 36 pound dumbbells for that and it was a struggle using 20 pounds with 2 pounds in my gloves. I knew it was probably wrong since it was so much higher than my flat bench flies.
Hope everyone has a great Tuesday/Wednesday!

Pam

Last night I started Meso 3 and now I am enjoying back DOMS! Those 1-arm horizontal rows seem to get me every time! This morning I did the Timesaver Cardio Blast Premix from Drill Max and Medicine Ball Ab Circuits. This time I also did the partner abs (without a partner).

Janie Great job on Imax 2! That one is super hard but fun and since you got through the first 4 intervals, I believe you got to enjoy Pam’s favorite Jeannie hops! Have you tried getting a toe splint? I’m not sure that would help you workout (especially with cardio) but it might help with just walking around the house or being able to take Rolly out.

Eunice Great job on 40/20 and the step portion of Intensity! That is quite the tough combo! I am very impressed. Sushi and churros sounds good to me. Maybe not at the same time though. I saw you tagged some recipes for me. I am hoping to get on the computer tonight and check them out. I am always looking for yummy healthy recipes. Glad your trip to Melbourne was safe even though you didn’t get to fix the boot issue.

Pam Great job on disc 13! I wonder what you typed in to get your 1RM to be 36 for flies? Were you looking at the 1RM weight instead of the target? I have done that before but caught myself before I actually used the wrong weight. I do like spinning. The bike I bought came with 4 spin DVDs. I have tried 3 of them so far. Two of them were by Josh Taylor who is not so hard on the eyes and has that nice soothing voice. He is encouraging without being pushy (like Cathe). I can’t wait to get Cathe’s spin DVD though. I am hoping doing the four I have now will help build me up for her!

Have a great day!

Janie Take care of your toe. It is an unusual necklace. Maybe you will get more that $30 for it. It took me a while to get the fast feet in Imax 2 down. Once I did though it was a lot of fun.

Eunice I am really struggling to workout or do anything for that matter. I think I am burning out and really need some down time from work. Yes I am taking two weeks vacation starting on Friday and it cannot come fast enough for me. Good job on your workouts. Funny I don't think of Australia as being cold but I know that the tempurature can get down there. I like your way of keeping the house warm by baking.

Pam Sounds like you had a great week off. You have to post the video of your dance on facebook. It bet it was a blast to do. You did really good with your workouts when you were away too.

Julie Aren't parents great with the hand me downs. We get stuff from our parents too, it is almost like getting something new. We are having a staycation. I can hardly wait until I can get out of work for a few weeks. I really need it.

Well yesterday I managed to do MMA Fusion but I can tell I am run down. It has been too long since I have had a vacation and I really need one now. I am hoping that I will be able to re-energize and get back to having energy again. I think I will take a break until Friday where I should hopefully be able to pick things us again.

Have a great Wednesday everyone.

Cheryl

I didn't do much of anything today. My toe is soooooooo sore. I'll have to start doing upper body workout starting tomorrow. Poor Rolly, won't be able to get his walks in for awhile.

Eunice, Yea, I'll take your advice and do upper body workouts, starting tomorrow. No sense seeing a doctor they can't do anything for a broken toe.:( I did see your lovely brownies. I only took a brief peek, cause I want some! Shopping and doing errands is so boring sometimes, but getting it done before the weekend is good. You'll have more time with him. Great job on 40/20 and the step portion and part of Intensity. so proud of you for getting it done. You did good.

Pam, I truly shouldn't have done that workout. My toe is so painful now. Hopefully while I lay off it, it will get better. I'll keep soaking it in ice water. You are a very brave person riding on those monsters. Wow. Great start on Meso 2 disc 13, shoulders and triceps. I'll be doing upper body workouts for awhile.

Julie, Great job on the start of meso 3 and this mornings Timesaver Cardio Blast Pre from Drill Max and Med Ball Bb Circuits. Wow! That was a mouth full. LOL Well, when it came to the hops I only did it on one leg. It was so painful. My body was screaming at me to stop but I wanted so badly to get through it.:( Oh well, I paid for it. I'll look for a toe splint. Maybe popscycle sticks will do the trick?

Cheryl, When I was trying to do the fast feet, that was a huge clue to my body to STOP! But I didn't and now I'm paying the price. Shoot! Great job on MMA Fusion. Maybe taking a couple of weeks off is needed. When was the last time you did that with exercising? I need at least 1 week off every month of workouts. But, if you do this, please come back and cheer us on. Also would love to know how you spend your vacation time.

See ya soon everyone,

Janie

Julie Congratulations on those back DOMS! I rarely get DOMS in my back, you must be working i thard! Great job on the Timesaver Cardio Blast Premix from Drill Max and Medicine Ball Ab Circuits too. How did the with a partner section go for you doing it without a partner?
I don't know what I messed up on my 1 RM for those incline flies, but I do know that it is wrong. I'm sure spinning is much nicer when looking at something (or someone ;)) that is pleasant!

Cheryl It sounds like your vacation is coming at a very good time. A 2 week staycation sounds like heaven! I was kind've depressed when our vacation was over because we don't have anything else planned right now. I think I need to get busy planning something!
I don't know yet if anyone videoed our dance, but I hope they did. I only saw one picture from it on facebook so far and it wasn't a very good one. Hopeflly there will be some more. Our camera power died at some point that night, but I can't remember if it was before or after that. We haven't charged the battery up yet to check.
Good job on MMA fusion. I think your plan to take a few days off sounds like a good one. You'll feel better when you start up again and you should be able to get some good rest while you are off work.

Janie SOOOOOO sorry that your toe is hurting so much :( I know how frustrating that can be when you want to be active and working out, but i think you are smart to concentrate on uppoer body only to give it some time to heal.
Your popsickle stick splint idea sounds very creative and smart to me!

This morning for me was CCC cardio only premix and no equipment abs. I was thinking that one had the levatation holds and was not looking forward to trying to do them but I was wrong - it's yoga based that has those :D Anyway, I hope that everyone as a great Wednesday/Thursday!

Pam

This morning I did Squat Rack Legs. I can’t say I enjoyed it. I think I will be switching to Plyo Legs. I previewed that yesterday and it looks tough but fun. The squat rack legs was kind of boring and I just don’t feel like I have good form on the front squat.

Cheryl Great job for getting MMA Fusion in! I understand about being worn down and needing a break. I think it sounds like a great idea to take the rest of the week off. Just play it by ear until you are ready to start getting back at it. A 2-week staycation sounds fantastic! Sometimes traveling can be more strenuous then staying home. Now you can do whatever you want on your time. I'm so happy for you and not at all jealous. :(

Janie Your plan of sticking to upper body sounds like a good one. If you are wanting to get cardio in, you can always sit in a chair and do fast punching sequences. That would take the pressure off of your toe but get your heart rate up. Of course just focusing on strength training your upper body is a good plan too. Make sure you wash that popsicle stick after eating the ice cream off it! :p

Pam Great job on CCC Cardio Only premix and NE abs! That premix is a doozy. It is almost like a HiiT workout. The last spin video I did was a ride through Ireland which was really cool to see all the scenery. I am going to look for more videos like that.

Eunice I saw on FB that you have a flat tire! How frustrating. I hope you can get it fixed soon and that your day turns around for the better.

Have a great day!

Julie So, you didn't like the leg squat rack workout? How heavy did you lifted? Well I previewed once Cathe give 3 min rest? I think so yeah it can get a little bored but (for what DH say) if you are lifting pretty heavy you heart rate would be on the high end and the 3 min rest would just be perfect, but I don't know......:confused:Hopefully changing the workout get you all excited again I love plyo legs they are hard but your rest is when you are lifting the weights hahaha!!! :p JK Glad that you are enjoying the back DOMS!! Thanks god DH come back home yesterday I'm clueless when is about cars and even more when is about tires I had have never had one before:mad:

PamYou are sooo funny when I was reading that you got started meso2 all over again I was thinking "only if you don't have another minivacation plan" if not you are going to have to start all over again and I read today that you want to start working on planning another vacation haha!!:D Lucky girl!!Yes is winter here its weird and guess what the heather is not working again:mad: wowow!! I hated when things happen last month I was broke because of Sam, this month everything was looking good no extra expensive, saving money when DH is at the field so nice, then tires 2 at once I hope that I don't have to buy 2 tires I'm thinking that would be soooo expensive here!... Maybe there is something wrong with the 1MR did you get to fix it? Good job on CCC and abs why are you doing premixes only? is it in the rotation like that? o you just want to change things a bit? Is that way harder than doing the whole dvd? whew a lot of questions!!!:p

Julie what kind of bike did you bought?! You know that is on my wish, need, want, list!! I wonder if all the bikes come with dvds?

Cheryl I'm sooo glad that you are taking time off from work:D I know you really need it and that you are get all recharged again. 2 more day then you are going to be at home try to get in all the sleep you can, I know I'm horrible doing that I mean I have no trouble getting my sleep I think I do sleep to to much, but now the girls are off school so that's why I'm getting in all the sleep in this world, next Monday the little ones go back to school which still not bad because school start at 9 am then 2 more week for the high school daughter then I have to take her to the station every day, so yeah I'm enjoying my time off:eek: Good job on MMA:Fusion love that!

Janie So sorry that your toe is in so much pain today, hope it get better soon.. Glad that you are taking time off from doing any cardio, doing upper body and abs would do it for now Julie's idea of the chair its a good one:D forget about Rolly for a while and try to get better soon:D My brownies are the healthy version so yes you can have some:D Your Popsicle idea its good just don't eat to many of those!:p

Yesterday I did disc 7 chest/should/biceps and I think this is the hard one in the meso 1 with all those pushups wow! that was a lot last week we opened with the drop set pushups and finish with the shoulder press drop sets, this week was the opening shoulder dropsets, then finish was MORE pushups a lot of them:confused: that I had to take a break then add some more.. my shoulders are pretty sore even my triceps I wonder why???? and my chest is loosing even more"boobs" haha!! but I have muscle, yeah my bras are getting big on me:eek::p Today I have planned to do from High Reps Lower body only its about 39 min long so I was thinking on adding from 4DS legs we'll see if not I will do some 30 min cardio then from HR legs only or lower body....
DH come back home yesterday I was expecting him till today but good he come home I got 2 flat tires he changed them this morning I called him right away when I found out about the tires he had hes phone off after I posted it in FB he called like 2-5 min after hey!!! hes checking on me huh!! I was thinking what a good husband I have!:p JK I know he is a good guy love him!
Have a good day everyone!:D:p

Janie So sorry about your toe. I like Julie's idea and only do upper body work. You need time for your toe to heal even if it is fustrating not being able to do anything. I haven't actually taken any time off from exercising but I don't feel like I need to. I think what I need is a break from working and not having to get up so early to commute. With changing postions a couple of times in the past year I haven't taken nearly as much vacation time as I usually do. I now have 11 weeks of vacation so I plan on using some up this summer. I also have a couple of weeks off in August as well.

Pam I am looking forward to my staycation. I have a lot of things I can do at home. I hope you can get a video of your dance I think that would be fun to see. Don't you hate it when the camera dies and you don't have any backup batteries. Way to go on the CCC cardio only premix and the no equipment abs.

Julie I haven't tried the squat rack legs. I know the plyo legs is a lot of fun to do. I glad that you aren't jealous of my vacation at all :D. Sometimes I find staycations more relaxing that going somewhere. I am looking forward to sleeping in until at least 6 am .

Eunice I am jealous of the sleep that you are able to get. I wish I could but work gets in the way :(. Isn't meso 1 crazy with all of those push ups. I don't know how the crew does them all. Cathe must really crack the whip in rehersals. Not fun to have two flat tires. Hopefully it won't cost too much to replace them.

Well didn't work out today, still taking a break. The weather is crappy here again. I am in sweats and a sweat shirt again . Anyway have a great Thursday. Only one more day to go........ for me.

Cheryl

Awe you guys are the best. You know me everything is so dramatic. I'm feeling better today, the swelling is down. I'm missing cardio big time. I did Pyramid Upper Body workout. Still had to be very careful not to put pressure on my toe. No Popsicle sticks, but buddy taping two toes together. Feels a little better.

Pam, Great job on CCC cardio only premix & no equipment abs.

Julie, Great job on the squat rack legs. For me I like the plyo legs, but switching them around is my favorite. Loved the fast punching sequences. Had to try it out tonight, and they were cool. thank you for the advice.

Eunice, Great job on disc 7 chest, shoulders and biceps. Yep, lots and lots of push ups. I get DOM's in the triceps too. Your body is changing for the better. Very proud of you. Your husband sounds like a keeper.:)

Cheryl, Just take care of your needs, that way I know you will be alright. Working I know is very stressful, I can't wait for you to go on vacation from it.

Janie

Julie I'm glad to hear that about the squat rack legs as I was considering doing them this time since I have a tower now. I really enjoy the plyo leg workouts so I will just stick with those this time based on your review. I think you will like plyo legs - they are a great workout and go by quickly.
Oh that Ireland spin video sounds really cool! I think I would like that too.

Eunice You know I can't go too long without a mini-vacation :D If it's only a mini one though I can still get my workouts in, it's the longer one that messed me up. I think we will try to go to Charleston for a long weekend in September so I might be done with my STS rotation by then.
Oh my gosh, I can't believe that your heater isn't working again. What the heck is going on with that thing?! How did you get 2 flat tires? Hopfully they can just be repaired and you won't have to buy new tires. Tires are so expensive. One of our cars needs 4 new tires and my other car needs 2 :( That is a pain. It seems like so much money for something that I can't even tell the difference with.
I didn't redo my 1RM for the chest flies, just went with the weight that I used for flat bench and that seemed to be about right. I did the cardio premix for CCC because that is what is in the rotation. The first time I started meso 2 a couple of weeks ago I didn't notice that it said cardio only premix and was wondering why she had abs oin the same day, but I noticed it after I had done the whole disc. I do think the cardio only premix is harder because you don't get those little breaks that the ab sections give you. Like Julie said, it's a lot like a Hiit.
Great job on disc 7 and all of those pushups!!! I was yelling at Cathe during those workouts saying no more pushups, but then we would do some more. That was the best thing about finishing meso 1, knowing that I didn't have to do all those pushups.
That was a nice surprise that DH came home a day early, especially when you needed help with your tires. Your hero :D

Cheryl 11 weeks of vacation?! You could take the last 3 months of the year off! It's not looking promising for a video of the dance. The one woman that I know of that was video taping only took still pictures  I guess we should've planned ahead and asked someone to take a video but we weren't that smart!
We need to get a spare battery for our camera. It uses a special rechargeable battery and I don't think you can even put regular batteries in it, so once it's dead it's dead. It didn't seem like it lasted very long either
It's almost your Staycation, I am envious!

Janie So glad to hear that the swelling is down and your toe is doing better, but do take it easy for awhile. You were smart taping those toes together too! Great job on PUB and punching sequences.

This morning was disc 14 legs. Something that I did last week caused my knees to be stiff and sore so the squats were a little tough, but I got through it ok. This one really goes by fast for me. Have a great Thursday/Friday everyone!

Pam

This morning I did Low Impact Circuit Timesaver Cardio Premix and Yoga Abs. No levitation holds but I do try! :p My inner thighs have DOMS today. Probably from those front squats. I also noticed that every once in a while my right knee gets a sudden, quick sharp pain. Not unbearable and it goes away really fast but that made me wonder if it was due to poor form during squat rack legs yesterday or my knee joint just can’t handle that kind of weight. Yet another reason to go to Plyo legs I guess.

Eunice Great job on disc 7! I think that is the worst part about Meso 1 is all the pushups. There are so many different versions and they are spread out throughout the work out and it is so exhausting! I can never do all of them on my toes but I try to get as many as I can. I think my mistake with the squat rack was going too heavy on the squats. My weight was 92 lbs. for squats and 80 lbs. for front squats. With using a 30 lb. weight vest, I still had to load my barbell up pretty high and my biceps are actually sore today from lifting that weight. I loved the deadlift section but I could do deadlifts all day long! I bought a Spinner Fit from spinning.com. It was expensive but I really like it. I’m clueless about cars too and would not have known what to do if I had two flat tires. Lucky for us we have sweeties for DHs! :D

Cheryl Sorry for the crappy weather. Actually sweats and a sweat shirt sound comfy to me right now. I am in a summer dress and freezing here at work. I have a sweater on and a blanket over my legs. I just checked the weather and we are supposed to have a heat wave starting this weekend into next week. Heat index up to 110 degrees! Wow 11 weeks of vacation saved up! I have half that. Of course, I don’t get much each year and had to take a bunch of days off for remodeling our basement this year. I hope you enjoy those nice long mornings in bed you deserve a nice break. ;)

Janie Great job on PUB! You didn’t do the pikes on the abs did you? I can’t imagine that would feel good on your toe but if you can do it go for it. You can also try punching or fast arm movements of any kind on the stability ball instead of the chair. That’ll work your core better. Buddy taping the toes is probably better than the popsicle stick idea. Anything to give the broken toe a little stability. I'll still be hoping for a fast recovery for you.

Pam Great job on disc 14 legs! I hate knee problems. I am going through a small one now but luckily it hasn’t interfered with working out this morning. I think the squat rack legs would be good if I had better form and maybe if I had someone else there. Part of my fear is going too low in the squat and not being able to get back up. Plus I actually enjoy leg workouts that are more plyo and high rep, low/moderate weight work. I actually can’t wait to try Plyo legs on Saturday! Call me crazy!

Have a great day!

Today was a lazy day. Worked on business cards. Was fun. I need more ideas on how to do cardio with a broken toe, PLEASE!

Pam, Great job on disc 14 legs. Is it nice being home and is it back to normal?

Julie, Great job on LICTC permix and yoga abs. I think you just need to stretch those inner thighs and use the foam roller on them. It will help, I guarantee it. Don't give up the squat rack legs yet. They are so good. Mix it up with Plyo legs would be my advice. Oh no I didn't do the pikes, but I did half pikes. Better than nothing. Thanking for your hoping me fast recovery. It takes about six weeks for a bone to heal. That means I can't get back to normal until August 14th. Jeesh that looks like such a long way away. Dog gone it!:(

Take care everyone,

Janie

Cheryl don't worry one more day then you will be able to sleep in, workout, do nothing if you want, you need to take time off more often don't you loose time if you don't use it? sweater and pants its what I need for this cold weather and I don't have that many:p:eek:

Janiegood job doing PUB be careful with your toes I know when we get hurt its when we realize how much we use the whole body every single part to workout even our toes;) feel better soon! pretty much yes he is a keeper my 60 day guaranty expired long ago;)

Pamthen I'm glad I only need two tires your its going to be more price then mine only because Australia has the more expensive prices ever for anything just double the price. Oh by Sep you'll be done with STS rotation and ready for your minivacation! I was wondering with the CCC just to do the whole thing would be similar. I know there is a lot of them I was telling to DH that my shoulder was sore and he say why? because todays workout had thousand of pushups, he just look at me and say thousand? wow! he thought it was funny:confused: Finally we have heather yaya!! but yesterday was pretty cold and this morning too.
Good job doing legs I guess its part of the game my knees act funny sometimes too.

Julie crazy hahaha!! Good job doing LIC timesaver I think doing the workout that way its even harder, my inner thighs are sore too but I think it was the open wide squats:confused: good for you for doing the most of the pushups on your toes yesterday I didn't even try they were so many.wow 92,80 pounds are pretty heavy I think you are right you needed someone to spot you. I love deadlifts too :D I'll look into the website later to see that bike. Enjoy plyo legs crazy lady!

Janie taking the day off being lazy sounds good to me.. more ideas for cardio I can't think of any really lets see what the girls think.

Yesterday I did 30/30 and from high reps I did lower body, for one second I thought that I was going nuts but it worked out pretty good I liked how the 30/30 work the legs then hitting the high reps for legs it felt pretty good, of course after I was done I convinced my self of that before that NOT!! I think now I know which of the HiiT its my favorite one 30/30:D;) Today I did disc 8 back/triceps for some reason I thought that the workout went pretty fast it was good for me I also did abs weight & plates after that my back got pretty sore:eek:
Tomorrow we are planning on going to watch the last part of Harry Potter so maybe I won't have time to workout if I don't then I will do it on Sunday.
Have a good weekend everyone and talk to you later!!

Julie Great job on did Low Impact Circuit Timesaver Cardio Premix and Yoga Abs, even without levitation holds. As Cathe says, even trying works the core! Oh yes, I can relate to that fleeting knee pain (and ankle, hip, .....)

Janie Hmmm....maybe you can do the ABC workout while your toe is healing? it isn't heavy duty cardio, but it is SOME cardio without putting a lot of weight on the feet. I was also wondering about a stationary bike if you have one, but that could put too much pressure on your toe, especially if you do any out of the saddle. Do you have access to a pool for swimming somwhere? That's all I can think of for now. Oh except maybe Jeannie hops on just the other leg ;):p
It is good being home and getting back into the routine, but I still feel like I need the weekend to get caught up on sleep (not to mention laundry )

Eunice I think you were right with your push up estimate in meso 1, it certainly feels like a thousand! Too bad o nthe tires, I get really mad about unexpected big expenses  So annoying!
I did start thinking about the September mini vacation and looking at where to stay in Charleston South Carolina as I think that is where we will go. It's close enough that we can drive for a long weekend.
I'm glad to hear that your heater is working again, hopefully this time it is for good! Great job on 30/30 and high rep lower body. 30/30 is my favorite Hiit too, I think that's because I think it's the easiest! Great job on disc 8 and W&P too! That one always gives me ab DOMS. Enjoy Harry Potter!

This morning for me was Step Moves. I still haven't done that one enough to know it really well so I miss some of the moves at first. It's a short fun one though and was a good one to do with a sore booty after leg/glute day. Last night was Girl's night out and it was so much fun, then it as a gorgeous night with a full or almost full moon so I got a beautiful ride home with the top down. I love summer :D Have a great Friday/Saturday everyone!

Pam

This morning was MMA Fusion! I almost didn’t do the ab section but then I remembered the turtle spins!!:p:D I love those! Tonight I will be doing disc 27: Shoulders, Biceps, & Triceps. I really hope I can do well on the shoulders. That is my least favorite muscle to work but also the one that needs the most development.

Janie I love lazy days! Of course, I also love workout days too but since I am at the end of the week and getting tired, a lazy day sounds so wonderful right now. I like the concept of the squat rack legs, I’m just a little nervous about being able to lift to my potential safely. I think I would feel better if DH was watching me and there if I needed him. August 14th will come before you know it but I can’t imagine having to go through what you are. I really am not sure what other cardio options to suggest. I would think swimming, cycling, or rowing might not bother your toe but I don’t know if have access to a pool, bike, or rowing machine.

Eunice Great job on HiiT 30/30 followed by legs of HR! That had to be a tiring combo! I remember getting crazy DOMS from the paper plates in High Reps! Great job on disc 8! I thought the back and triceps in meso 1 went by faster than the chest, shoulders, and biceps but then again when you dread the next set of pushups it makes the time go slower! Enjoy your movie!

Pam Great job on Step Moves! I had a hard time with the choreography on that one the first time I did it but I got better the second time-but still far from perfect. It is a good one when you are short on time and actually burns more calories than I thought it would.

Cheryl Enjoy your vacation! While we would love to hear from you every day, feel free to stop in when you want to take a break from your staycation!

Happy Friday!
