Strength in Numbers

Ok, this morning’s Get Glutes kicked my rear into shape. I have a feeling my bum and hammies will be sore tomorrow. I think my why the other workouts were feeling “easy” was because I wasn’t going heavy enough and I was getting done in about 40 minutes. I think next time I will try going heavier and adding some conditioning moves like cardio in between the exercises or add a tabata at the end. Hmmm choices, choices.

Janie With Get Glutes, you get 4 different workouts each month. So I don’t think I got used to doing the workouts. I think it was just not knowing how heavy to go on some of the newer exercises. I hope next week I get it right.

Pam Wow! Great job on your extra-long BodyMax combo workout! That is a terrible feeling to wake up thinking it was Saturday when it is Friday. At least you didn’t wake up thinking it was Saturday and it was really Monday. I would like to think I am getting stronger at Get Glutes but I think I just made poor weight selections and need to up the intensity a little. Oh yes KPC combos can’t be beat!!!

Pam, Oh NO! So sorry this wasn't Sat. for you. Great job on doing the step and circuits from Body Max and Upper Body from Body Max 2. Enjoy your "sleep in" tomorrow if you can.

Julie, LOL! All this time I thought you were doing the Get Glutes from Cathe over and over again. My stupid mistake. I thought maybe (hidden in my mind) you were doing other workouts, but wasn't sure. I looked it up and it does look interesting. You'll get it right (weight choices) next week.;) Great job on Get Glutes. I think your plan on going heavier is a good one.

Pam I am glad that you are over your morning issues. Hopefully you will have an extra week at home. But traveling for work is one way to see the world. Yep it takes a while for the Benadryl to work its way out of the system. No I don't have an appointment yet. Hopefully soon. Great job on Drill Max.

Well Thursday was an awful day for me. My eyes were watering almost all day long. It was hard to look at the computer at work and I sure didn't want to look at one once I got home so no post yesterday. Today they are feeling much better actually the best they have felt all week. I have no idea what is going on and I am still waiting to see when I can get into the allergist. So I didn't workout yesterday or today. I will do a workout tomorrow though. Weekends always is the easiest days to get a workout in.

Awefully sick still

This cheered me up quite a bit. I want to be just like her when I'm her age, let lose and have fun. Just makes me want to hug her! It isn't hilarious, it is a blast. Didn't want it to end.

Janie Thanks Janie, I am doing fine now but who knows when it will flare up again. That video is great. I hope I am like her when I get older.

This morning I did Afterburn. Yowza it has been a while since I did that one. After that I got my hair highlighted and then went to find a light for my bathroom. I found one now I need to get DH to put it up for me. I can't believe how hard it rained today. It was so wet but I sure am glad that it wasn't snow.

Cheryl Yep, over my morning issues just in time for the time to change :rolleyes: I am going to get that extra week at home, just rebooked my reservations to leave on the 20th! I am looking forward to seeing Melbourne though, I've heard wonderful things about it. OMG, your poor eyesm, that is terrible!! I hope you haven't developed an allergy to your cats!

Cheryl Great job on AB!! That one is a doozy and I always feel it in my glutes for several days afterward! It sounds like you had a pretty nice Saturday, despite the rain.

Our crazy weather continues, we had winter storm warnings Thursday night and Friday morning and it was in the 60's yesterday and 70's today. I hope that the warm weather is here to stay this time. We didn't get the winter weather, but I guess they got ice about 50 miles west. We were lucky. I took yesterday as a rest day. Had a lazy morning with the DH and then did some running around. Today I started Cathe's March rotation with BM2. I had just done the weights, but it was ok since I had done the other BM cardio. So far I've spent the rest of the day cooking and cleaning but I think I need to get myself outside and enjoy the nice weather. Happy Sunday!

, You are the 2nd person who said you liked the video. Do you not have 9 others to watch? You should. Hmmmmm The one I saw so far was a scientiest who is young and had a stroke. Her message was so amazing! You truly do have crazy weather. Do enjoy your 70 degrees. Wow! Good job on yesterday's rest day and for starting Cathe's March rotation, BM2. Enjoy the wonderful weather.

Janie 9 other videos? I'm confused.....I was talking about the video you posted above ^ with the old lady dancing to Blurred Lines....? Are we talking about the same video? The one you are describing here sound much different......?

This morning for me was cardio kicks. I was surprised (but happy!) to see that one in the rotation. I need to put that one on my computer too because it's another good travel option. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Saturday I did Athletic Training and then went to my mom’s to visit. Sunday I did Get Glutes and then was very lazy the rest of the day. AT really did a number on my calves. They were really sore Sunday and are still really tender today. I did not work out this morning. It was my scheduled rest day which is good because I got terrible sleep last night. I was hot and cold and hot and cold and just could not get comfortable. Really hoping I am so exhausted tonight I sleep like a baby.

Janie I haven’t gotten a chance to look at the video yet. I tried on my phone and Ipad but it wouldn’t play on mobile devices so I have to wait until I can get on a computer that is not at work.

Cheryl Oh I completely understand not wanting to look at a computer when you get home from work and I don’t have allergy issues like you have been dealing with. Great job on Afterburn!

Pam Wow winter storm warnings are crazy for NC let alone in March. Glad to see your weather turning around. Ours is getting there. We are supposed to be in the 60s today but it might get back down to the 30s with snow on Wednesday. Great job on BM2 even though you already did parts of it not that long ago. Great job on Cardio Kicks! That is a good one and very travel friendly.

Pam, Oh dear, my mistake. I posted on the Open Discussion Forum another video about The Top 10 TED Talks by Women. But I didn't post it here. (so embarrassed) The video here is the dancing old lady. I think I'm losing it or really sick, one of the two. Sorry about that. Great job on Cardio Kicks.

Pam I have heard good things about Melbourne too. Not too much longer until you leave. I don't think I have allergies to the cats or my eyes would be puffy all the time. Even if I did have allergies to them I would put up with it instead of giving them up. That I couldn't do. Wow you sure are having crazy weather. I hope that Winter is over for you and it will be more Spring like. Great job on BM2 and Cardio Kicks. It would be a great travel option since you don't need any equipment.

So yesterday I did Step Moves. It was hard after the time change. I know it is only an hour but it really does me in. I wish they would do away with it and just leave the time alone. Today it was tough but I did Gym Styles Chest and Triceps. I know my triceps will be talking to me tomorrow. This one always gives me good DOMS.

Julie Great job on AT and GG. Cathe really knows how to kill the calves, doesn't she?! I hope you got a better sleep last night! I think we have had more winter storms and warnings this year than any of the other 30 years that I have lived in NC. It has been just beautiful the last few days in the mid 70's and Thursday we are supposed to have a high of 44! WTH. At least it is only supposed to be for that one day, but come on! I did see a big field of daffodils in bloom on my way to work this morning though, and the trees have little leaves starting to bud. Yea!! Spring is just around the corner!

janie Ah, ok, that makes sense on the videos. I don't think you are losing it, it's easy to forget which forum you posted something on. No reason to be embarrassed at all!

Cheryl I'm with you, I wouldn't be giving up my cats even if they told me I was allergic to them. I'd just have to find a way to deal with it. Winter is not quite over yet, it will be rearing it's ugly head again on Thursday. There isn't supposed to be any precipitation at least, just cold. And luckily just for that one day. Great job on Step Moves. They have been talking on the news a lot about the time change and how it really affects people. There are more accidents the day after the time changes....I really wish that they would just stop doing it! Great job on GS C&T too, how are those triceps doing?!

This morning for me was PUB. I was still feeling it from BM2 the other day, a sure sign I having been doing my weights for awhile! I know My chest is going to be sore tomorrow. I didn't do the core work, I'm going to do that when I get home. I'm hoping it will be a little easier to do the pikes and pull ins if I'm not doing them right after frying my upper body, but we will see! Have a great day!

I slept a little better than yesterday. Still not the greatest but I will take it over Sunday night. I did Get Glutes this morning and added on some kettlebell swings between exercises for intensity. Tonight they are calling for a winter storm warning from 10pm to 1pm tomorrow. Rain turning to sleet mixed with snow. Snow continuing into tomorrow with 2-5” possible accumulation. Will it ever end?!?!

Cheryl Great job on SM and GS C&T! I remember that one giving me crazy DOMS as well. I am right there with you. If I suddenly developed allergies to my dogs, I would just have to suffer or take medicine. No way would I give them up over that.

Pam Oh my yes Cathe kills my calves and when she gets them good, they kill for days. I have no idea what in AT got my calves so good because there is no direct calf work. Yeah, this winter is still rearing its ugly head for us too. That would be such a beautiful sight to see. I love daffodils. Great job on PUB! I bet you will do awesome on your pikes and roll-ins tonight!

Pam My triceps are actually fine today no DOMS at all :confused:. I don't know why my triceps are fine this time. I wish they would stop doing the time change too. I have no idea what the purpose of it is. Sorry that winter is not ending for you yet. Spring is almost here. Good work on PUB. The ab work is too hard to do after all that upper body work so it is a good idea to do it when you get home.

So today I did GS Back and Biceps. I am trying to do Jamie Eason's Live Fit again. I will see if I can make it work this time. So it was very Spring like here yesterday and today. Sorry Julie and Pam :eek:.

If you were really pumping it I can see that happening. I'm not sure I would call my pikes and roll-ins awesome, but I got them done!

Cheryl Wow,that is so strange that you have no DOMS, how does that happen?! Actually we have had beautiful, beautiful weather so far this week - 80 degrees yesterday. It's tomorrow that is supposed to be cold again. There is a big line of thunderstorms coming through tonight that is supposed to take us way down. At least it's only for a day though and I'm hoping that is the end of it! Great job on GS B&B. I hope you are able to work it out to do Jamie Eason's Live Fit.

So I did do the core work from PUB after I got home last night. I almost forgot - I had just settled in with a snack and my ipad. Luckily the last thing I had done on the ipad was check off my workout in the workout manager, so when I opened it and saw that I remembered. I still couldn't make it through all of the pikes and I had to drop down to my elbows for the parts where she holds and lifts one leg, but I did make it all the way through without stopping and resting off the ball for awhile. That made me feel somewhat successful :rolleyes: I'm wondering if I should try holding dumbbells on the floor next time to relieve some of the wrist strain......Anyway,this morning was Imax2 so now I'm singing the pina colada song :D Have a great day.

This morning I did Hardstrikes and then prayed that my office would have a delayed opening or be closed completely. No such luck. By the time I left a little after 5 this morning, we had only gotten a little over 2” but the plows had not been out. Pretty sure I was driving down the center of the road most of the time. This had seriously better be the last snow for this winter. If not, I think I may have to be committed!

Pam Great job on remembering to do the PUB core work! You are so good to give up the ipad and snack for that. I think I would have stuck to the snack (that might be why I still have this nice layer of insulating fat on me). That is a brilliant idea to hold dumbbells on the ground. I bet that will help. Great job on Imax 2! Unfortunately we did get the bad weather. Not as bad as we have had this year but with no snow plowing it seemed worse.

Julie Great job on HS! So sorry to hear that you got snow AND that you didn't have a delayed opening. It is sooo stressful driving in those conditions. I'm glad that you got there safely. After 70's and 80's so far this week we woke up to mid-0's this morning. I was sure this was the end of it because it is supposed to be mid 60's this weekend, but now they are talking about possible wintry weather on Monday :rolleyes::(:confused: I'm surprised more people aren't getting sick with all of this roller coaster weather. Believe me, I was very tempting to skip the core work the other night, but since it's only 10 minutes I figured I should be able to manage it! I am definitely going to try the dumbbells next time and see if that helps...assuming I remember :rolleyes:

This morning was the original Boot Camp, still one of my favs. I hadn't done it in such a long time, I was happy to see it in the rotation. Julie had me thinking about it when she was doing it recently! Happy Thursday ladies.

This morning I did Get Glutes. It was tough getting up this morning. This whole week has been exhausting. I haven’t gotten the greatest sleep and then with the weather still being yucky. I guess the bright side is that Spring is officially 1 week away and the Chicago Road Trip is 3 weeks away. Some things to look forward to.

Janie Oh now, so sorry you are not feeling well still. There is a bug going around here at work and I am crossing my fingers and toes I don’t get it. Do take care of yourself.

Pam Great job on Boot Camp! That one is so good! Going from 70s and 80s to 0 would be horrible. I am very much ready for this winter to be over for good. Stop coming back for more, we don’t want it!! There has been a 24 hour stomach bug going around here that I am hoping to avoid. Don’t know if it is related to the weather but could be.
