Janie Keep practicing it will come easier. Great job on Total Body Sculpting. Butter tarts are butter brown sugar eggs and raisins. Not healthy but they are yummy. I heard that someone let off a smoke bomb at the Apple store yesterday. They haven't arrested anyone but are looking at the security video to see if they can find out who did it.

This morning I did Cardio and Weights. I even got my Cathe calendar today!!! I normally don't get it until at least the 2nd week of January. Later we went to Canyon Lights at the Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver. It was really nice. The suspension bridge really does sway....a lot. It was all decked out with Christmas lights and tons of people were there. Here is a link to the site their pictures are much better than the ones that I took on my phone.

Sorry about not posting. I have no excuses except being lazy. I did do Get Glutes on Wednesday, Drill Max on Thursday, and my last Get Glutes plus Tabatcise on Friday. I am off work until the 2nd so I used Thursday to do some things around the house and Friday DH and I cleaned the house and then ran errands. Since I am done with month 3 of Get Glutes, I am going to take a rest week this week and then start up month 4 on January 5.

Janie Glad to see you are having fun with the keyboard. I love Elvis so I am hearing you playing Love Me Tender in my mind. Learning the guitar sounds hard at least to me. I am always amazed at people being able to play the guitar because it seems like you really have to concentrate to know what to do with each hand. Great job on piano practicing (a workout for your fingers and your mind) and Total Body Sculpting! I am so happy you could do that workout pain free!

Cheryl Great job on Cardio Supersets! Yes CCC has a big dread factor for me. Sometimes just seeing Pam do it makes me want to run and hide. I have never had Butter Tarts but based on your recipe you gave Janie I bet they are delicious. Great job on LIC! My DH was sick on Christmas too. We were supposed to go to his dad’s for Christmas but he didn’t want to chance getting anyone sick so we stayed home. That is crazy about the Apple store. Great job on Cardio & Weights! Try not to sing Buttercup the rest of the day. Wow that bridge looks amazing and kind of scary. I love the lights on it.

Pam Great job on 40/20 and X49! Isn’t it amazing how you can rock a workout one day and then do the same workout or a shorter version of the same and it kills you. It probably has something to do with what we eat and our sleep.

Julie Don't worry about not posting we all get busy and some things slide. Great work on GG, Drill Max and Tabatcise. Enjoy your time off both from work and working out. Sometimes that is just what we need. Butter tarts taste wonderful though not too wonderful for the waistline LOL. Sorry that your DH was sick on Christmas too. The bridge is a bit scary as it moves a lot side to side. Some people won't do it because it scares them too much.

This morning was PRS #1. I had a hard time this morning with it but I pulled through. Now we are getting a ceiling prepped for painting. Lots of fun.

Finished with the first chapter on the piano/keyboard. YaHoo! Today was Low Impact Step 40 min. My foot was a bit sore, but I gingerly favored it. Should be better for the next time around. Tomorrow is a rest day.

Cheryl, Great job on Cardio and Weights. I love that one! I got my Cathe calendar too. I'm thinking of doing the Jan. rotation maybe. LOL Glad you got the calendar earlier this year. OH MY! I want so badly to go on the Capilano Suspension! So Cool!

Julie, Great job on Get Glutes on Wedn., Drill Max on Thurs. and Get Glutes and Tabaticse on Friday. Well done! It must be so nice to have some days off from work. Enjoy them. I like your plan to rest up and then start month 4 in Jan. When I was a teen I use to play pipeline on the guitar. I think that's the only thing I learned on it. LOL But won't be learning the guitar until I mastered the piano. Just nice to have it in my bucket list.

Cheryl, Great job on this morning PRS #1. Oh I do know what you are going through prepping to paint. Lot of work ahead of you, but oh so worth it.

Today was Yoga Relax. After that DH got two bathroom ceilings painted and I made some protein bars. Now it will be a lazy rest of the day. I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend.

Trying to learn and memorize the keys and the notes and how they work together. Wow! This part is really hard and it's just the beginning. I ordered flash cards from Amazon in hopes this will help. Can't really move on until I learn this. I'm going to be an "A" student. However long it takes then so be it. LOL

My foot is a little sore, but not so bad. Every Sat. I will do a step routine, so I have a week for it to calm down. In between weight workouts I will put in Yoga. (Yoga will only be two days a week). Then Sun. will be a rest day.

Cheryl, Great job on Yoga Relax. OOooooo Love that one! You both are making head way on painting and eating well.

Friday I started feeling icky and by Saturday morning I had a full blown cold. Scratchy, sore throat, runny nose, and achy body. I love sharing things with DH but he could have kept this to himself. I spent Saturday and Sunday doing nothing. This morning I wasn't achy but had a cough. I thought maybe cardio would help so I tried Part Rockin Step 1 for the first time. I made it through the warmup and first combo and the stopped. I decided to do something lighter so I did a bodyweight and bands workout from Get Glutes. So much better. I really felt my Glutes and I did not feel like I was overdoing it.

Cheryl great job on PRS1! I just did not feel coordinated this morning to really try it. I also try to watch step workouts first but didn't this time. Although I am not sure watching it first would have helped. Great job on Yoga Relax! Hope your painting went well.

Janie Great job on Low Impact Step! Glad to see you have a plan to keep you active without over doing it on your foot. I bet those flash cards are going to really help you memorize the keys. You will be churning out the songs like nothing in no time.

I did Body Max on Friday, Supercuts on Saturday (including the su/pu combo, took Sunday as a rest day and intensity and core #1 this morning. I told my mother I would paint her bathroom for her as a Christmas present, so Friday I did the priming and patching, Saturday I did the first coat and Sunday I did the second coat. I'm not in any hurrying to do any painting anytime soon! Now we are on the way to the beachfront or our annual New Years at to the beach. If I don't post again before then, I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year!

Today I did Tabatacise 1 - 3 and core #1. I think I could have done one more round. Next time I will try doing 4 rounds. After that I made some muffins and then did some cleaning.

Finished the piano book from what was in with the keyboard. Not much there! Very surprised about that. Thank goodness I have a few beginning piano books. Whew! Total Body Sculpting for me tonight.

Julie, OH NO! So sorry about the cold, those things are miserable. When a cold arrives you really need lots of rest. Can't believe you tried to workout with a cardio and yet did bodyweight and bands from Get Glutes. Wow, you are "Wonder Woman"! Proud of you, you know that. Glad you are listening to your body and knowing you didn't over do it. Good for you!

Janie Too bad the book that came with the keyboard did have much in it. At least you have a few beginner books. Enjoy Total Body Sculpting tonight.

Today I did STS Total Body. I can't remember the last time I did that one. I could tell that I haven't really lifted in a while. My hands and forearms were really feeling it trying to hang onto the weights.

So Tuesday and Wednesday I still wasn’t feeling well and did not work out. This morning I tried waking up early to work out before going to work but just didn’t have it in me. I still am a little stuffed up and congested. I think I will be taking the rest of the week off and just start working out on Sunday. Hopefully I will be all cleared up by then.

Pam Great job on BM, SC, Intensity + core #1! You and Cheryl doing painting makes me think I am missing out on something. You are so nice for painting your mom’s bathroom for her. Hope you enjoyed your annual NYE at the beach!

Cheryl Great job on Tabatacise + core #1! That’s great that you felt like you could have done more. Now to remember that and hopefully still have that energy next time. Great job on STS TB!

So yesterday I did Intensity. Wow that is one calorie burner. After that I made lasagna and a brown betty as we were having my parents and brother over for dinner. As I had burnt off so many calories I though I would indulge :rolleyes:. Then it was cleaning before everyone came over. This morning was KPC and then relaxed. It is so much easier to workout when I don't have to worry about going to work :confused:.

Today was Yoga Foundation #1 practice. Feeling like I should start from scratch and start from the beginning in my yoga, weight training and cardio. Then next month a little harder and longer workouts. Felt so good doing yoga today.

Julie Sorry that you are still feeling under the weather. It is probably a good idea to not workout until you are feeling better. Just trying to learn the piano is a great start for me. LOL

Cheryl, Great job on Intensity. That one for me is very challenging! I agree it is a huge calorie burner. What is a brown betty? I'm thinking a drink? You did earn it from that workout you did! Great job today for KPC.

No workout this morning. I am starting to get itchy for working out again. But I since I still have a cough, I am going to stick to my original plan and not workout till Sunday.

Cheryl Great job on Intensity! I like your thinking that you needed to replenish your calorie loss by indulging! Great job on KPC! That would be nice to not have to go to work so we could have more energy to work out. Even just being able to work from home would help so there wasn’t the long commute.

Janie Great job on YF1! That is a great plan to start out at the beginning and gradually increase the intensity for all forms of exercise, cardio, weights, and yoga.

Janie Great job on your Yoga Foundation #1 practice. A brown betty is like an apple pie but just without the bottom crust. It is really easy and tastes so good.

Julie I know what you mean about getting itchy to workout. It will probably be better if you waited until you were feeling better though. Sunday is almost here. It would be great if I could work from home. I would have two extra hours every day to myself.

This morning it was Afterburn. Another calorie burner. The mountain climbers and spidermans get me every time.

Today was Upper and Lower body sculpting with Stability Ball ab workouts. Whew! Burned 332 calories. My legs were fried! It took awhile before I could walk normally an my abs are twitching. LOL I ate clean today. And practiced the piano today as well for an 30 min. Wish those flash cards would get here.;)

Julie, I think you are wise to wait until Sun. before you start exercising again. It's not far off.

Cheryl, Ymmmmmmmm. One day I'll try a brown betty. LOL Great job on this mornings Afterburn. Yep those mountain climbers and spiderman's get to me as well. LOL

Wow! Did my exercises before noon today. Not like me at all, but very effective and fun. Did Basic Step even got my heart rate up enough for a sweat. Not melting or anything though.
