Strength in Numbers

This morning I did my last Get Glutes for month 1 and added on All Out Low Impact HiiT. I really like that one. I have no dread factor about doing it. And today I was really feeling my butt working especially during the double pulse lunges and the running man. It was cold and rainy here so we didn’t get many trick or treaters. I think there was around 12. I bought candy I don’t like so I was not tempted to eat it. Now I just have to figure out what to do with all the leftovers.

Janie Bummer about your foot. I bet it is from packing and unpacking for your move back to Shelton. Hope you can rest it over the weekend.

Have a great day!

Today I rested a lot. Made Paleo bread and had turkey burger tonight. Spinach on the side and tried a new recipe drink with pumpkin in it. Yuck. Won't do that one again. LOL!

Julie, Great job on your last Get Glutes for month 1 and the added AOLIH. Congratulations! Take the left over candy to work with you and give it away. LOL Yes, I do think I hurt my foot by packing and unpacking. Darn.

Take care,

Janie

Janie Sorry that your foot is hurting again and that you had to pack up the beach house. I hope your foot gets better soon. Good for you in getting through month 1 of GG and AOLIH. Not fun when it is cold and rainy out to trick or treat. Smart of you to get candy you don't like.

Janie Too funny about your pumpkin drink LOL. Well at least you tried it. Rest will help your foot heal.

I have had a bad week. I didn't workout at all and I am really feeling it. It has been stressful at work and I have been completely exhausted when I get home. I am really looking forward to doing a workout tomorrow. I did want to workout last night but I didn't have time before the kids started coming. It wasn't raining here so I was outside and it was a lot of fun. We got about 180 kids which was less than I had bought for. I wasn't as smart as Julie in buying candies that I didn't like  but I am hoping DH will eat most of what is left. I am so glad that it is the weekend, hopefully I can recharge before Monday.

Cheryl

Hi ladies, I have returned from a really good but what felt like a really long week in Rome. I didn't do Ny workouts other than walking around town and to and from the subway every day. The weather was just perfect, mid to upper 79 s and sunny all week, we are outside most evenings whichever as wonderful! I got home last night and this morning woke up around 3 and couldn't get back to sleep. I finally got up around 4:30 and did PRS number 1 the 8 combo premix and then core number 2 from XTrain. It felt great to get a workout in and I decided that I definitely like PRS 1 better than 2.

Janie, I hope that your foot is feeling better soon! Cheryl, I hope you got a great sleep last night and were able to get up and do your workout this morning, Julie, it looks like you are doing great with your exercises as always. I'm not as smart as you about Halloween, I buy all candy that I like. I was mad at DH though because we had a ton of candy left, but he gave away all of the baby Ruth bars and those are my favorites. I guess I should be thanking him :) Today we drove to see the XC state championship meet because Carl was running. I dont think his team placed in the top 3, but he had a good run. I hope you are. All having a great weekend!

Pam

Pam Welcome back. I am glad that you had great weather while you were in Rome. That time change can be really hard. Good for you in getting up early and doing PRS 1. I was thinking of doing that one tomorrow, I have only done that one once so far. I am glad that Carl had a great run, too bad that his team didn't place in the top 3 though.

So I did Flextrain this morning. It felt good to workout again. After that it was some cleaning. It was raining so hard outside that I didn't even step out the door. Hopefully tomorrow will be better as I do need to get some running around done.

Cheryl

Cheryl Great job on FT! I'm glad you were able to get your workout in. Great job on Clean max too. I hope hat the rain stopped for you today.

I had a much better sleep last night, I didn't get up until 6, even with the time change. I had Hard Strikes on the calendar, but since I just did that one and it's not my favorite I did Cardio kicks instead, I really like that one and Julie made me think of it since she just did I it recently. Today I'm going over to help my mom get her house cleaned up. My aunt and uncle are coming to visit this week so she needs help getting her house ready. Then tonight wear e taking her out for dinner for her birthday, it was on Halloween. I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Pam

Pam Good job on Cardio Kicks. Glad that you could sleep in this morning. I hope you enjoyed dinner tonight.

It was Yoga Relax this morning for me. It felt good getting the stretching in. After that I did some running around and then looked after our neighbour's dog for a few hours. It was a little crazy until he settled down. Needless to say the cats were not amused.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Cheryl

Cheryl We didn't end up going out for dinner last night because my mother was too tired after spending the day cleaning. The problem I have with her is that she refuses to sit down if I am there working  She was very happy about getting all of the cleaning done though. Great job on YR and all of your errands. Oh boy, our cats would definitely not be happy if we had a dog visiting!

Super cuts was on the calendar for today and I was happy about that because I haven't done it for awhile. About 20 minutes into the workout though I realized I had put in the wrong disc! I ended up doing XTrain disc 5 legs instead of disc 4 SuperCuts. At that point I figured it was best to just work though it. I will probably be moving some things around the rest of the week though because I think Great Glutes in on the calendar for tomorrow and not sure I am going to want to do that after working legs today. I added in the abs from LIC after that. I am attributing it to the fact that I had pretty much been wide awake since 2:30  I really don't think the fall back on top of jet lag was very helpful at all!!! Happy Monday!

OH, I found out that Carl's team DID place 3rd in Statesand he placed 25th overall not 26th like we thought :)

Saturday I did CleanMax! I got so much done including getting the dogs bathed and my carpets shampooed! DH and I also hung my Jungle Gym suspension trainer up. I haven’t used it yet but it is at least ready now. Sunday I started month 2 of Get Glutes and added on extra upper body work. This morning I did Imax. Tomorrow I have an all-day meeting so I am not sure I will be able to post. Should be back Wednesday though.

Janie Hope you enjoyed your rest day and your foot is doing better. I like pumpkin but am not sure about in a drink. Maybe pumpkin coffee or hot chocolate.

Cheryl I am so sorry you had a bad week. I hope it is better this week. Great job on FT and cleaning! Bummer about the rain. Great job on Yoga Relax and running around! I bet the cats secretly miss the dog now that he is gone!

Pam Welcome back! I saw some of the pictures of Rome you posted on FB! How wonderful to be able to see all that history. Great job on PRS1 premix! I like Baby Ruths too. Glad Carl had a good run and those are great placings for him and his team. Great job on Cardio Kicks and cleanmax at your mom’s! That is so nice that you are helping her get it ready for her visitors. Great job on XTrain Legs even though it was supposed to be Supercuts. I think I may have switched discs because I love SC.

Have a great day!

Pam Too bad about dinner. I think I would be like your mom, I wouldn't want to just sit while someone else is doing work for me. Yep the cats were happy to get back to their routine after Leo's visit. Good job on XTrain Legs even though it wasn't the disc you set out to do. Wow up since 2:30!!!! I hope you sleep well tonight. Congratulations to Carl for placing 3rd.

Julie Nice job on clean max. We need to get the carpets cleaned too. Your Jungle Gym is similar to my TRX. It is amazing how hard it can be to do exercises with just your own body weight. Good job on GG and extra upper body work and Imax. Oh boy all day meetings are not fun. I am not sure about the cats secretly missing Leo but you never know :).

Today it was Intensity. Wow my cardio isn't as good as it once was . I will need to work on that.

Cheryl

Started the STS Series and decided I will do 6 months. Did disc 1. O my! I forgot about the many pushups and did have to modify with knees mostly and tabletop position sometimes. LOL. Foot is still sore.

Pam, Great job on Supercuts today but really did XTrain disc 5 legs. LOL You are too funny! I do believe it was the jet lag and not enough sleep. You did good! Yea for Carl's tem placing 3rd in States and placed 25th overall. Wow, congratulate him for me.

Julie, Great job on Sat. for CleanMax. Good for you for getting so much done. And for Sun. starting month 2 of Get Glutes and the addition of extra upper body work. Also for this mornings Imax.

Cheryl, Great job on Intensity. Are you doing the November Rotation? Intensity is a hard cardio to do. I bet you did just fine.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Julie Great job on CleanMax! Isn't that just a great feeling getting so much done? You even shampooed your carpets and the dogs, wow. I have to check out your jungle gym, I have been wanting to get a TRX or something like it for awhile now. Great job on GG and upper body on Sunday and Imax yesterday too! I hope that you all day meeting goes well! I seriously considered switching discs yesterday when I realized what I had done, but I was so far in at that point I figured I should just finish it. It was funny though because I kept thinking I feel like I've just done this, but I know I haven't done SC in awhile...DUH. Oh well.

Cheryl Thanks for the congrats for Carl. He of course wanted to do better, but there has rarely been a time that he hasn't wanted to! I guess that is a good thing though. I slept MUCH better last night so I'm hoping that will continue now. Great job on Intensity! I haven't done that one in awhile and I see it is coming up on my calendar in another week or so and I am a little scared.

Janie Great job on starting STS. Oh yes, that meso 1 is just loaded with pushups. That is the only thing that I don't like about it. So sorry to hear that your foot is still sore  hopefully STS won't be too hard on it.....

This morning for me was FlexTrain. It was was supposed to be Lean legs and abs and an X10 segment today and FT tomorrow, but I swapped them due to my unplanned leg workout yesterday. My glutes are really feeling it too. Any time there are dixie cup lunges in a workout my glutes feel it for days!! Last night was a normal sleep so hopefully I will be back on track now. I managed to stay up until 10. I hope everyone has a great day.

Pam

Janie Good job on STS disc 1. Oh I remember how many push ups there are in that series . Don't worry that you had to modify the main thing is that you did it. Yes I am going to do the November rotation. My butt needs some work :D

Pam Glad that you slept better last night. Intensity is not easy I was a little scared when I did it yesterday LOL. Good job on Flextrain. That isn't an easy workout either. Thoses Dixie cups rally do work your glutes don't they. Nice that you could stay up.

Today was Cardio Leg Blast. I was fried after that one. Today and tomorrow I am in a pre retirement session. So much to think about but I am so ready to go. Only 19 more months to go, not that I am counting LOL.

Cheryl

Cheryl Great job on CLB! Hmmm...the pre-retirement session sounds interesting, is it to help prepare you for the change? My current plan is to retire in 17 months, I'm not counting either! :D We are almost on the same schedule though. Staying up and then getting a good sleep didn't seem to help me, I was exhausted yesterday. I was trying to stay awake but gave in and went to bed at about quarter to 9. So far I feel like I'm feeling better today though. I'm hoping anyway!

Today was X10 cardio blast and Lean legs and abs. I did the X10 segment first this time because I remembered how hard it was to do it after a leg workout. I liked it much better that way. My glutes are still sore from XTrain disc 5 but maybe doing another leg workout will be good for them anyway..... time will tell! Have a great day!

Pam

Yesterday morning I did workout 2 for month 2 of Get Glutes and added on back work. This morning was X52 premix from X10. I had to pause a few times. I think that is my new Everest. It is quite a killer for me.

Cheryl Great job on Intensity! That one is a killer too. I always have to pause between sections. I am a little nervous about using the suspension trainer because I know it is going to be hard. I need to work in just one exercise on it a day or something. Ugh the meeting was nothing but sitting for 8 hours with short bathroom breaks. My butt was actually sore from all that sitting. Great job on CLB! Only 19 months to go is awesome!! So happy for you!

Janie Great job on STS disc 1! All those pushups are what keeps me away from doing meso 1 so I salute you for doing it. Going to the knees and tabletop is better than quitting. Very proud of you! Hopefully doing STS will be gently on your foot so it can heal up.

Pam Great job on FT! DH and I were in heaven after all that cleaning. It just feels so great having everything clean and smelling good. I bought the anchors for the Jungle Gym and we anchored it to the ceiling. I was telling Cheryl I haven’t used it yet because I am a little nervous. I will get there though. Great job on X10 CB + LLA! I am so happy for you and Cheryl to be so close to retirement. I am nowhere near the counting down stage. At least not in months. I could count down in years, let’s see that would be at least 30 ½ years.

Have a great day!

Went to the doctors to have my foot checked out. It's sprained. Shel told me to put ice on it twice a day, ibuprofen and gave me some special exercise to do to help with the healing. For cardio will use my spinning bike. Been awhile and I can't wait! Did Meso 1, wk 1, disc 2. Had an awesome workout and also ate Paleo throughout the day. I feel great!

I ordered a Paleo cook book called Against all Grain by Danielle Walker. I've been ab libbing my forever diet and just wanted something special for a change. Because I'm worth it. Of course tweaking with some oatmeal and homemade milk and water kefir, because it helps a great deal with Gerd.

Cheryl
, Great job on Cardio Leg Blast. Retirement? Are you old enough? Congratulations!

Pam, Great job on X10 cardio blast and Lean Legs and abs. I forgot where I put my XTrain booklet from the series and asked Cathe people if they would send me another one. I got it today! Wasn't that nice of them? I just love it here.:D

Julie, Great job on yesterday's Get Glutes and the addition of back work. And for this morning's X52 premix from X10. It is a challenge for sure, at least from what I see of it. LOL

Take care ladies,

Janie

Julie Great job on your GG and added back work and also X52.That one really is a doozy. I have X77 on the calendar next week - YIKES! i was very scared when I saw that! You will have to let me know how you like your jungle gym. 30 1/2 years?!:rolleyes: That sounds pretty scary too! It really is amazing how fast time flies though. I can't believe I have worked at IBM for almost 30 years now!

Janie I hope that the Dr recommendations do help to heal your foot quickly. It is so nice to have the spin bike tho when you can't put the strain on your feet, isn't it? Just be careful about the out of the saddle stuff! Great job on STS D2! So nice to hear that you are feeling good! You're right, you are definitely worth it and your health is the most important thing. I hope that the cookbook is awesome! Wow, that is really nice that they sent you a new XTrain booklet. I use that every time I do an XTrain workout, it is so nice to have! I have to say that Cathe runs quite the classy organization!

This morning for me was PRS 1 again. I thought about subbing it out since I just did it, but decided it would be good to practice it again. I'm glad I did because I really feel like I pretty much have it down now. I had been struggling with the grapevine down the board where you turn around and do it again, but I finally got that on both sides. I had the left side no problem but just couldn't get the right side until this morning  Now I need to get some work done. Have a great day!

Pam

This morning I did Scrambled Cycle Max. I am so happy it is Thursday although I will be happier tomorrow when it is Friday. I guess I am always working for the weekend!

Janie I’m glad you went to the doctor. Even if there isn’t much for them to give you at least now you know what is going on with it. Great job on disc 2 and eating Paleo! I’m glad you feel great! I love how you said because you are worth it. That is how I feel about fitness and health purchases. We are worth spending more now to feel good and be healthy!

Pam Great job on PRS1! I have yet to try the new step workouts. Not sure what my problem is. I’ve heard good things about them just can’t get out of my comfort zone right now. Isn’t it funny how we can do a move on one side but have troubles doing it on the other. I sometimes find that in kickboxing or even with weights.

Have a great day!

Tonight was Pedal Power premix 1. 40 min. It felt good! Thank goodness I can do cardio.

Using a peeler I peeled zucchini and topped it off with avocado and topped that off with seared Salmon in coconut oil. Then topped that off with a curry sauce. MMMM Delicious! Followed mostly the recipe but had to change it a bit and it worked. For desert we had a cup of homemade low sugar yogurt strawberry ice cream. Not on Paleo diet, but it works for us. I used milk kefir and Greek yogurt with fresh strawberries and froze it in one cup containers.

Pam, I only did one recipe from my new cooking book and so far so good. Great job on PRS 1. Good for you getting it down so quickly.

Julie, Great job on Scrambled Cycle Max. Awe, that was nice to say.

Take care ladies,

Janie

This morning I did Get Glutes month 2 workout 3. I added on 30/30 after that. I must have eaten my Wheaties while I slept because I made it through 30/30 without adding any additional break time in. I was so happy that I did Rocky arms and said “yea me!”

Janie Great job on Pedal Power! So glad you can do cardio with foot strain. That recipe sounds good. I love avocado. Sometimes I think I could eat it straight out of the peel with a spoon and be happy. The strawberry frozen yogurt sounds yummy too!

Happy Friday!
