Strength in Numbers

I don’t remember being awake much last night but I must not have gotten good sleep because when that alarm went off I wanted to pull the covers over my head and sleep in. I did lay there for a few minutes but then got up and did Burn Sets Bis & Tris plus the 100 rep hip thrusts plus the Rear Delts bonus. When I went to put my sticker on my calendar showing I finished the workout, I was smiling so I guess it was good to get up and work out.

Quick question for anyone with iTunes knowledge and Cathe downloads. I was noticing over the weekend that in my iTunes, several of my Cathe downloads show up twice. So I have 2 Afterburns, 2 Cardio Supersets, 2 Athletic Training, etc. I didn’t pay attention to whether it was only the LIS or whether the XTrain series does it too. Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix it?

Penguin Oh sleet, I hate sleet! I am glad you decided to come home. Sleet is the worst to drive in. Hope you got everything done you needed to. Exactly, the scrambled premixes allow you to do the entire workout again but since the order is different it feels like a brand new workout!

Janie Great job on AOLH w/chest! Love the red, sweaty messes! Another great drawing. She has very lovely eyes and a pretty smile! I totally agree with Pam. You could probably make a business out of it by having people submit photos of someone they want you to draw. Do you do pets?

Pam Great job on BSBT + Tabatacise 1&2! I haven’t done Tabatacise yet but I have seen posts from people saying they did all 5 and it was easy :confused:-WTH!!!! I can’t imagine saying that about Cathe Tabatas. Gotta love those DOMS that hurt when you just lightly touch the area.

I saw a post from someone saying that it wasn't bad doing all 5 of the tabatacises too and that was right after I did 2 of them and thought how hard it would be to do all 5 :rolleyes:

This morning for me was supposed to be Disc 5 legs pre-mix 3 again. That is the 81 minute one with all of the leg sections plus rear delts. I decided to do pre-mix 1 instead which is the same except without the barre work, and then added on core #1 instead of the barre work because it seems like there isn't much core in this rotation. I definitely like core #1 better than #2, mainly because it is easier! :D Tomorrow we have an 8 am flight to Maine so pretty sure I won't be doing a workout before that. If I don't get to post while I'm gone, I'll talk to you again on Wednesday. Have a great weekend everyone!

This morning was Yoga Relax. I am beginning to like this one a lot. I really feel stretched out and relaxed by the end of it. Now let’s hope that feeling lasts through the workday! Boy those Burn Sets sure do sneak up on you. I can’t believe the biceps DOMS I have. My triceps are kind of sore but not as sore as my biceps.

Penguin Sounds like DH got good news!! Yea!! That will be a big load of stress of both of you now.

Pam Great job on Legs pm1 + Core 1! I haven't done either core from XTrain yet but I am notorious for not liking core work. Have a great ski trip!

Slow quiet day planned for tomorrow after running all over the church {twice} today!

Hubby and I talked about listing some health/fitness goals for the week and getting small rewards when we complete them for more accountiblity

Julie, yes, a big relief. I'm dreading Burn Sets, but I need to try it.
 
Yesterday was disc 5 Legs with premix1 and today was disc 8 Hard Strikes premix3. Whew! With modifications of course. Not where I want to be yet, but getting there very slowly. Got ta make it safe for me, even if it's a bit too cautious. Hey, these workouts are awful long. I know, quit complaining.:confused:

I was tweaking my Grandson's portrait "Cody" and missed it up so badly I couldn't retrieve it. I'm in the middle of doing it again, and I can already tell that it's so much better and looks more like him. Can't wait to show this one off. I know, it's the perfectionist in me. I have to learn to stop tweaking. Also learning to take more time and concentrate.

Pam, Great job on Bis and Tris Burn sets and an added Tabatacise not only 1 but 2. Wow, I'm so impressed, good going! Making a business out of my art work? Wouldn't even know how to begin something like that. I'm all ears.

Julie, I'm so impressed with you getting up from your warm comforting place and still need sleep and doing Burn Sets Bis and Tris plus the 100 rep hip thrusts and the rear delts bonus. No wonder you don't want to get out of bed. My Lambs girl. You did a terrific job! Pushing like that can be rewarding for sure. About my art work: Like I said to Pam, Have no idea how to even let people know I exist. Where/how would you even start something like that? I like being home doing art, and wouldn't know how to promote it too. Something to think about.

This morning I did All-Out Low Impact HiiT for the first time. I had to take breaks after every 5th exercise or so but I did it. I also tacked on the 100 Rep triceps extension and core #1. I am so ready for the weekend! Saturday is going to be busy with errands and cleaning but hopefully Sunday will be a lazy, restful day!

Penguin Your rewards plan sounds like a great idea! I love Burn Sets but if you are not into traditional heavy weight lifting, I can see that it would be one to dread.

Janie Great job on Legs and HS premixes! I am not where I want to be either but we will both get there in our own time no matter how long it takes. I wonder if you could go to arts & crafts fairs or flea markets and offer your services? You wouldn’t have to draw someone on the spot but you could show off the drawings you have done and offer someone to provide you with a picture from which to draw their loved one.

Julie, Great job on LIH. I too had to take breaks until my body got more use to it. Wow plus tacking on 100 rep triceps extension core. You are good. I might try an arts and crafts show or a fair or something like that. Hmmm. That's a good idea. By the time good weather comes along, there should be a few that are done to show off.

Day 3 of a migraine. But I got the house vacuumed and somewhat straightened out today, plus brushed April and most of her teeth, lol. :p

Penquin, So sorry about your migraine. I can't imagine something like that.:( Love the baby sweater. Hmmm funny all this time I didn't know that little tid bit about the mouse and control button. :)

Yesterday was lazy day Sunday after Total Body Trisets Upper Body. This morning was XTrain Legs (disc 5) all parts except rear delts. I did it slightly out of order though. I put the Barre at the end in case I ran out of time and needed to skip it. Unfortunately, I had plenty of time and got it done. I am just not a fan of Barre work. There is a reason I am not a dancer!

Janie Great job on CLB premix 5! I am looking forward to doing that one but it might be a few more weeks yet. Great job on AOLIH premix 5 too! Another great picture! Your family is very lucky to have someone so talented to draw for them.

Penguin So sorry about the migraine but great job on getting some housework and April’s spa day in there. No need to run scared from fatigue sets. Just don’t do them or do what you want out of them. Great tip! I love keyboard shortcuts and tips for making things easier.

This morning was Slide & Glide. S&G is not one of my favorites. I just don’t enjoy doing all my cardio on the dics. I like a little more variety. The next few days are going to be busy and stressful at work. We are making a lot of changes to our processes and now comes the part of presenting the changes to the employees. Most of the employees in my area are very resistant to change-thus the stressful part.

Penguin That is so nice of your hubby to help out with your friend’s car. It is nice having a handy man around. Oh I didn’t mean to scare you. Burn Sets is not that bad. You will survive!

Janie Great job on AOLIH plus chest! I always think that maybe if I did barre work more that I would be graceful and long and lean like a dancer but then I think it is probably something you either have or you don’t. Some people are dancers and some people aren’t. I’m not but that is ok with me.

I did the timesaver premix of Cathe's new Hard Strikes. It was only about 40min but it was pretty fun. Nothing complicated but she does have some pretty fast changes between sets of moves. No warning and suddenly everyone {but me!} is doing something else. :p One little coughing fit and I could tell my lungs weren't up to snuff {ha, that was punny!} but that should improve as my sinus does.

I'm a little more than halfway through the list! making progress.

Julie, Great job on S&G. I hear ya about cardio on discs. Hope all goes well making changes and employees accepting them Change is hard for a lot of people. Let us know how it goes. You are so right about dancing!

This morning I made it through Afterburn. I did the double trouble premix because it feels like it goes by faster that way and breaks up the monotony of repeating the drills.

Penguin I’m sorry about the poor sleep. I hope you were able to get your big to do list done. Great job on HS premix! I haven’t done that one and don’t remember previewing it. I think this may be the one I am looking forward to the least. Maybe it will surprise me though.

Janie Great job on standing legs and rear delts! I love that rear delts bonus section. I need to work on my form a little more with the moves but that will come with practice. I have high hopes for what this one will do for me. You are right about change being hard for people. So far, we are only in the planning stages but in the next few days and weeks we will begin sharing those plans with people. I’m trying to keep positive about it though.

Penguin That is a great idea to list your health and fitness goals for the week. And a reward gives you even more incentive! You shouldn't dread Burn sets, it goes by really quickly and really isn't that bad.

I have no experience with starting a business either, but I can really see a market for your work. You could post the pictures that you drew from along with the drawings. I'm thinking people could send you drawings and you could do it from the comfort of your home. I love Julie's idea of doing pet pictures too!

Julie OK, if you made it through AB Double Trouble then you are officially back in cardio form! Great job!

This morning was XTrain Disc 1 on the calendar, but I wanted more cardio and am already out of the rotation after being gone so I decided to try SuperCuts instead. I did pre-mix one which is Supercuts + core 1. It was pretty good, but nowhere near as intense as TTM or CF. I was a little disappointed about that. It has a lot of variety though and goes by very quickly. I skiied Saturday and Sunday and then it was going to be really cold on Monday so went shopping with the ladies instead. It was a lot of fun though, my first time in 2 years snow skiing. I still prefer my water skiing though, mainly because I don't like being cold! have a great day ladies!
