Some Unfortunate News!

Cathe, I'm sorry to hear about your setback.

I can empathize completely with frustration towards the medical profession! And the frustration of having such a small, simple move bring out more pain.

Perhaps you need to see a sports medicine specialist?
Maybe someone trained in myofascial release (using foam rollers)?

Or even an acupuncturist: after my recent injury (pencil jammed 2-3 inches into the back of my leg!) I finally saw my acupuncturist after a week, and he said that traumatic injury to the body (as well as the antibiotics that I was taking as a precaution against infection--who knows what was on that pencil..which, by the way, survived piercing my pants AND my leg with no damage to itself!) and can effect not just the injured area, but the entire body (including te nervous system). After my session, I felt 300% better, not just physically (energy back), but emotionally (I'd been very tense and irrtated since the time of the injury).

Another possibility: trigger point therapy. Perhaps the real cause of the problem is not where the pain is, but in another area that is referriing pain to it?

Just some alternative suggestions.

Hope you find what works for you!

(Maybe you could spend some of your down time doing preparatory work for the next batch of workout? Just a thought!).

Oh Cathe - how frustrating for you :-( ! I am so sorry you've hit another snag and wish you a speedy recovery.

Whenever these workouts are done, I know they're going to rock. So whatever the date may be is just fine with me :) .

Cathe,

Oooooh, this is so frustrating for you!!!! Don't worry about us; just take it easy, follow doctor's orders, and let yourself get all healed up.

On the bright side, we'll get to see more of you on the forums again! Yay!!

Sandra

OUCH!!! Cathe!!! So Sorry to hear! That is soooo bizarre! I am wishing you a quick and speedy recovery! I don't think anyone is disappointed, we just want you to get better so you can keep kicking our behinds for many, many, many years to come! Before you know it you will be teaching us the "senior workouts" and even as seniors you will be kicking our behinds! I am a Cathe'er for life and will wait as long as you need! Sending you the very best get well soon wishes!

Take care of yourself, Cathe - that's the most important thing! I just did the 82 min premix on KPC/L&G. I've had the DVD for 2 years yet had never done this premix. I think I have PLENTY of options to keep me busy until you are well.

We'll manage just fine, and in the meantime, enjoy the time with your family.

Cathe, I know how frustrated you must feel! Thank you for keeping us in the loop. I'm disappointed, but not in you. You take all the time you need. I hope the next news you receive is good news!

Cathe,

None of truly know what you must be going through, even if we have all experienced setbacks and disappointments. Please know we support you taking all the time you need to heal, no matter how long it takes. It is so easy to ask WHY???, but to what avail? You have an injury and need to take care of yourself and pray for patience. Patience is a virtue indeed! In the meantime, I hope your boys and husband are taking good care of you, as we all know, moms are not aloud to be "under the weather". Control the things you can... resting, doing what your doctor tells you, and using this time to heal ( and maybe take up knitting!) Graciously accept all the help sent your way, which is hard to do, but you DO deserve it! Prayers and well wishes are being sent to you and your family!

Oh, please don't feel badly about disappointing us. None of us want you to go forward with your projects unless you are completely healed. We want you to keep on giving us the amazing workouts we have known and loved so long and for that you must put healing completely first. Warm wishes on your recovery but we expect you to be 100% when you start filming and we are willing and happy to wait for that day to come. :)

Oh My Dear Cathe!

I can't imagine how frustrated you must be at this point. Please listen to your body and take care of yourself (sounds like good advice from YOU) first. Your health is the most important thing. There's no point in rushing back to film something only to injure yourself even more. I know that is a difficult thing to manage right now because people are so excited about getting new DVDs. Take care. Don't stress. Give yourself a little break. The DVDs will get finished when they get finished. I'm not going anywhere because of a little setback in timeframe and either are many of my other friends from your site! We love you.

Sending you hugs and good vibes, Miss Cathe.
