Possible CTX rotation for February.

Hi Karen.

I did the step only premix from cardio and weights last week. I don't remember it much at all now except to know that I liked it! lol I have tried out 3 new work outs in a matter of a week or so, so my memory of them is kind of muddled. I can't keep them straight in my head. lol

I received my Hardcore order though I could swear I ordered stretchmax and lowmax but only got lowmax. I will have to check my confirmation when I get home. Worst case, I'll just order stretchmax tonight. No big deal.

I think I am going to shelve lowmax for post baby fat burning! I have hardly skimmed the surface of Body Blast and Intensity yet so I think HC will have to wait...with the exception of stretchmax when I get it.

My rotation is going well. I have made a few substitutions here and there but overall I'm sticking to it pretty good. I can't decide on next month's focus though...it's either Circuit or Weight Training. I'm thinking weights so that I can focus on all of these new weight work outs I now have! Besides, I have been a cardio junkie of sorts for quite a while now...I need a change....

Have a great day, Karen!

Have a great work out!

Hi Wendy,

Ah, I really like Cardio and Weights. I must admit that I really like the Intensity series. I came here via the old FIRM workouts -- not the new ones, but the original 6 workouts -- called the Classics now. And for me Cardio and Weights -- as well as High Step remind me of the original FIRMS -- just a bit.

I think you're wise to put Low Max into the category of doing after the baby is born. It's a shame, however, that you didn't get the Stretch Max with your order. I also ordered Low Max and Stretch Max, but also included IMAX3 and Muscle Max. I'm supposed to have my order tomorrow. Can't wait for it.:)

I would have to say that I, too, prefer Cardio. I do, however, love Muscle Endurance and Power Hour is also pretty good. I'm seeing that it's the strength tapes that seem to shape up my figure. Cardio for weight control and endurance -- anaerobics for more cardio and working those hard to work type i and ii muscle fibers (as well as stimulating the Growth Hormone) and strength tapes to shape up those muscle and tummy.

Anyway, another busy day ahead of me. I'm just getting going. Pant, pant.:+

Have a terrific day.:7

Hi Karen,

I come from a Firm background too(who doesn't these days? lol)....but mostly the newer stuff...I discovered the Firm with BSS 2. I then bought BSS 1 and have MANY other assorted workouts from them. Most of them are newer, but some are older. I do not have BSS 3 however because I discovered Cathe just moments before BSS 3 was able to get its "hooks" in me! lol BSS 3 would have been a much cheaper endeavor though! I have spent a bundle on Cathe but it's sooo worth it! She is awesome...and I can't even give the work outs my full potential yet!

I checked my pre-order confirmation and I DID order stretchmax so I emailed customer svc last night. Hopefully I will hear from them and get my dvd soon. I am really looking forward to that one!

I previewed Lowmax in it's entirely last night. AWESOME work out! I am REALLY tempted to try a premix before I put it on the shelf to collect dust for a few months! }(

So I will be 27 weeks pregnant tmrw. I believe my third trimester begins in another week or two. WOW how time flies! Tomorrow morning is also my glucose test at the OB's office. FUN FUN! lol The baby is really starting to pack some good wallops on me at times! My DH is putting his hand on my belly every chance he gets waiting to feel another movement.:)

I picked up the book "Eating for Life" over this past weekend. Sounds like a good and doable eating plan with lots of great recipes! I have started to follow his plan "loosely" to try to keep away those extra & unneccesary pounds for these last few months. After the baby is born, I want to try to follow his plan as strictly as I can to see if it will speed up the loss of the extra baby weight plus a few extra that I wanted to shed before I got pregnant! I plan on breast feeding though so I may have to alter it a bit for the baby's sake for a while...

Ok, well, just about time to get back to work now!
Talk to you soon.

Have a great work out!

Karen!

Hi! I decided to post again! Don't mind me...I guess I'm feeling chatty today!:D

I now have Stretchmax in my hands. Happy day happy day! Gonna try it tonight after my work out.

Glucose test this morning was kinda gross but atleast they don't make you drink a ton of that stuff! I go back for another check up in a month.

Hope you are having a good day, Karen!

Have a great work out!

Hi Wendy,

Please excuse my absense. I'm having a heck of a week. Gone almost all day -- and exhausted when I get home. Pant...pant...

Hopefully next week will be better.

What's a glucose test, by the way? Does that mean that your blood sugar is high? I'm sure it's okay. Your body goes through so many changes when you're pregnant. But do let me know, okay?

Anyway, did Low Max today. What workout. Cathe just keeps topping herself, I think. Whew! I think because it's lo impact that you might be able to do some of the moves. It's really a terrific workout. But you might preview it first just to be sure. Maybe modify some of the moves. But it's really a good one. I was also thinking of you as I did the workout and trying to think -- would this be a good one for Wendy -- funny, huh?

Anyway, have a terrific day.:7

Hi Karen.

Welcome back!:) Hope your days get a bit easier soon.

I decided to give Lowmax a shot the other day...I couldn't resist. I did the step combo only premix (no blasts). It was PERFECT for me! I loved it! I think I will be using that one a lot! I will add in the blasts post delivery-ofcourse!;-)

I did stretchmax last night finally...did all of #1 and half of #2...#1 was great for me....#2 I would need to modify some of the moves right now...I will try # 3 this weekend.

The glucose test is what determines if you are at risk for having or developing gestational diabetes. They will call me if it comes back positive. If not, all is well.

Have a great work out!

Hi Wendy,

I'm so glad you're able to do Low Max -- I really thought that some of those moves would prove to be okay for you. Isn't it fun?

Oh, also don't you think Cathe and her crew are looking exceptional? I was particularly thinking how pretty Jay and Lorraine look. Also Cedie and Rhonda and Brenda -- but was really taken with Jay and Lorraine. I'd like to look that good.:7

I will try my best to keep touch this next week. It's another busy one. What's happening is that I have a very short window of time when I'm not on deadline and not on tour and not promoting some new book and so what I'm trying to do is cram in about 6 courses all at once -- and get them finished. I'm literally running, trying to get it all in. Even studied on Saturday and some today.

Anyway, I have yet to figure out what I'm doing workout wise for next week. Keep me posted on your health, okay? I'm sure it'll all be fine.

Have a great one.:)

Hi Karen.

Wow, you are a busy lady! How do you do it all?

Not much going on around here...I'm exercising, working, *TRYING* to to stay motivated at work (NOT working) even though my time there is ticking away and I will soon be leaving there FOREVER!!! YEAY!!!:) You see, I am taking my maternity leave and then resigning from my job. I am going to stay home with my baby. I will probably leave my job at the end of the first week of May. That will give me 2 weeks before the baby arrives to really "prepare". Not that anyone is ever TRULY prepared for motherhood :) but there are things that will need to be done.;)

Okay, well I have to get moving now. Hope to hear from you soon!

Have a great work out!

Hi Wendy,

Great to hear from you. I'm thrilled that you're going to be able to stay at home with your new baby. I really wanted to do that as a new mother, but I was unable to. I've worked all my adult life. Not that I'm complaining, but oh, how I wanted to do that.

What I did do was a compromise. I worked temp. work -- I was a permanent temp. I got to set my own hours and got to attend all my kids concerts and programs, since I really didn't have to report to anybody. Really worked great for me when my kids were young.

But oh, to stay home with them. It would have been a dream for me.

:)

Anyway, I ended up to ME today instead of the new Muscle Max -- I don't have the band yet. And of course, I'm running short on time...

I am trying to get an awful lot accomplished in these next few weeks. Pant...pant... And then it will be a deadline -- only 3 months to write the next book. Why do I do this to myself?

Oh, well.:7

Have a terrific day.

:p

Hi Wendy,

Gee, it's always like a ray of sunshine to come here and talk to you.

Well, I finished one of the hardest courses I've ever done. Yea! Now I'm trying to finish two more this next week -- am trying to get this all in before I must settle down to writing deadline. Oh, I write Historical Romance. Native American genre. Love it. Totally love it.

Well, am going to be doing IMAX2 today, I think. My time is running a bit short.

Hope you are doing well -- what happened to the doctor's opinion and stuff about your glycogen -- wasn't that it? Everything okay?

Anyway, have a terrific day, Wendy.

:)

Hi Karen.

I haven't heard from doc on the glucose test...no news is good news! Haven't gained any more weight in a few weeks...gotta love that!!!

Have fun doing IMAX2...that is a work out that I have not even looked at yet since I can't do it right now.

I did the step & hi/lo premix of SJP last night. That was fun. Then I did shoulders and biceps from ctx. Tonight is a double whammy day to finish up my rotation for the month so that I can rest on tomorrow and start a fresh rotation on Sunday. So I will be doing, or atleast ATTEMPTING to do Leaner Legs *AND* Step and Intervals (including weight work) tonight. Should be fun!

Writing books, that is so cool. I used to love to write. I would write stories all of the time up through middle school. After that I fell out of it somehow. I was good at it too. I found an ad in a magazine recently about a free "test" you can send away for to see if you have the "aptitude", I guess that's what you would call it, to write children's books because they are looking for new authors....I am tempted to send away for it. It's free...nothing to lose...and great way (if I am successful) to make some money and still be home with my children. I think I will definately send for it. :+

You are taking college courses as well? Working towards a degree or just love to learn new things? You are a busy woman...I don't know how you do it! I can tend to get very frustrated when my calander it *TOO* full...

Enjoy your weekend, Karen!

Have a great work out!

Hi Wendy,

I just love coming here and reading your posts -- you are such a sweetheart. And I bet you're going to be pleased that you stayed in shape during your pregnacy.

I love writing, too. You could do it, you know. Stay home and write. My advice, as a professional -- it's what I do for a living -- would be to read, read, read, then pick a genre to write in -- genre meaning a specific kind of book -- i.e. fantasy, romance, mystery, etc. Go ahead and take courses, but I must warn you that those places make money, not from helping you get published, but from editing your work -- something that you can do yourself probably better than they can. Just don't allow anyone ever to invalidate your work or be critical of it or you -- these things never have and never will help an author or artist -- they tend to keep him/her from doing her best instead. My best advice, and I mean this sincerely, is to just sit down and write everyday -- before you know it, if you do this, you'll be a writer. And read, read, read.

I'm taking courses at my church -- I'm concerned about world affairs at the moment and in times like this I turn to my church -- and so I'm taking courses to learn how to counsel others -- in a spiritual sense. I've finished one course and am trying to quickly get through 5 more -- am putting in so much time -- from 1PM to 10PM daily -- including weekends.

Truth to tell, I love having much leisure time, but seem to thrive on being busy -- go figure.

Have a terrific day, Wendy.:7

Thank you for the advice. This is something I will be seriously considering. It sounds like a great option for me...

Wow-busy bee!!! I can certainly understand why you have to "squeeze in" your work outs lately!...So after you finish the courses, would you counsel those who seek help via your Church?

I think I know what you mean...as much as I can get irritated and frustrated with a packed schedule...when I have absolutely NOTHING to do it irritates me as well.

So I began a new rotation yesterday. The focus is weight training. Did supersets for the first time yesterday. Thinking of doing a circuit work out tonight (with lighter weights)...if not, it will be a straight up cardio night.

Talk to you soon!

Have a great work out!

Hi Wendy,

Good morning. Wow! Sounds like a great schedule for workouts. I love Cathe's workouts so very, very much. I've almost stopped doing other workouts completely -- I still substitute some others now and again, but Cathe's are so complete, and I really do love them.

This week, however, it's the TimeSaver DVD for me in rotation.:) If I really concentrate hard and put in the time, I should be finished with these courses in 3 weeks -- of course then I'll be under strict and heavy deadline for the next book -- deadline is June 1st. Pant...pant...x(

Yes, when I finish these courses, I'll be able to counsel others who desire a deeper understanding of themselves, life, and spiritual awareness. It's my attempt to do something helpful and useful in these, our current times.

By the way, what sort of things do you like to read? That you might be interested in writing?

Anyway, must get going. Have a terrific day.:7

Hi Karen.

I did the Firm religiously before discovering Cathe. Can I tell you I haven't even LOOKED at a Firm work out since I found Cathe!?!? lol I will probably use the Firm to help me when I first start exercising again after the baby is born. I'm thinking much of Cathe's stuff will be too intense after childbirth and a 6 week "break" from exercise...

Me and reading...to be honest...they don't mix much. lol I find that I don't have the patience for it except for a magazine or internet article or something. Every once in a blue blue moon I will actually read an entire book but that's not all too often. That being said, I really don't have a favorite subject/genre to speak of.

My initial interest if I were to get into writing would be children's books, though.

Well, off I go for now.

Talk to you soon. Have a great day!

:) :) :)

Have a great work out!

Hi Wendy,

Children's books can be great, that's for sure. Sounds to me like you might not have found the kind of book that YOU really like -- perhaps you were MADE to read in school, as opposed to pleasure reading. To me there's almost nothing better than a hot bath and a good book. Hmmmm...

Anyway, finished two more courses this week -- making a total of three now -- so I have three to go, and then to deadline.

I, too, haven't done the FIRM since I discovered Cathe. I do, however, to Nancy's Calorie Killer once in a while -- works up a good sweat in a short amount of time.

Am finished with the TimeSaver DVD this week, except for the last and I may do the High Step tomorrow instead -- if I have time.:+

Gotta run! How's the pregnancy going, by the way? You doing okay?

:7

Hey Karen!

That's funny that you mention Calorie Killer by Nancy Tucker..that is one of the Firm vids I was HEAVY into right before I found Cathe! I was also very much in to Super Cardio Mix-the one Firm vid I know of that is chaptered-which is part of the reason why I liked it so much.

Maybe when I go out on maternity leave I will pick up a couple of books in different genres and "test the waters" to see what I like...could be the perfect opportunity for me to learn to appreciate a good book! :)

So how much longer do you think it will take you to complete all of your courses? After that will you be taking a breather from the insane schedule or will you be quickly finding something else to occupy that time?? :)

Pregnancy is going great. No news is good news. Have my next doc apptmnt in a little over a week. In the meantime, the little bugger has been more active and has really gotten me good a few times!;-) LoL

Have a great work out!

Hi Wendy,

My insane schedule should continue for the next few weeks, and then I should be done -- however, then I go to the East Coast to visit my daughter and then I'm under heavy deadline. The good news is that deadline is beginning to look like a vacation in comparision...:+

I'm so glad that the pregnancy is going well. Do keep me informed of your progress and how it goes at the doctor's and all. Sounds like you're doing great.

Wow, that's interesting about the FIRM. I really loved them for a good couple of years, but I really love Cathe a little more, plus I'm finding the FIRM's after Cathe to be a little too easy -- which is good every now and again. But I do like this intensity with Cathe.

Have a simply wonderful day, Wendy. Do you feel the baby move often? I used to love that feeling.

Take care. :7

Hi Karen.

So you have a daughter at my end of the country, ey? I'm in New Jersey by the way. You are in Cali, right??

I really need to do a Firm work out soon to see if it's any easier for me now that I have been doing Cathe...

Yes, I feel the baby move quite often as of late...movements have increased quite a bit in the past week or so. Should stay this way for about a month and then start to fade off a bit as he gets bigger and starts to really run out of room in there. Gosh, this is gonna be over before I know it! Where'd all of the time go? Still feels like yesterday when I read the results of the HPT with my jaw hanging open! lol

Have a great work out!
