Possible CTX rotation for February.

Oh Karen...having to use the potty while in traffic in the car when one is pregnant is NOT a good thing! lol I have an hour's commute to work...I have actually considered putting a roll of T/P in my car JUST INCASE!!! I'd rather pull over then lose control...and losing control of one's urine is NOT out of the realm of possibility when one is very pregnant!

Well, I did a good work out tonight...Muscle Endurance-woo hoo!!! :7 My arms are like rubber bands...I'm surprised I can type! lol

How's your newest book coming along?

Wow, it's after 10 already...I gotta get a move on...want to be in bed by 10:30 sharp tonight!

Have a good evening!:)

Hi Wendy,

Yeah, it was something to really remember. Have you ever seen the movie 2 week notice? With Sandra Bullock and Huge Grant? There's a sceen where she has something similar going on and each time I see it, I remember this one with me.:+

Isn't ME a really good workout. I have it on my schedule for today -- a little later today.

Well, I must admit that the book could be coming along a little faster. I'm getting a little concerned about it now -- only cause I keep getting distracted. I think there's a reason why you see in movies and author going away -- where there's no phone or anything...

Oh, well, I just gotta keep plugging along.

Have a terrific day.:7

Hey Karen.

I was on the amazon and barnes and noble websites the other day...I ordered 2 more books to try ;-)...and I was curious so I typed in your name and low and behold a book popped up! I didn't take note of the name of it (I should have) but it seemed to be with in the genre you described to me. I got so excited coz it's like I know a famous person now!!! :7

I am still reading the first Brigette Jones book...a few pages almost every night before bed...I am enjoying it. I still have the 2nd one as well.

The 2 books I just ordered are "The Hobbit" and a book whose name eludes me at the moment but it's the original story after which the musical I went to see ("wicked") was written. I actually think it is called "wicked..." but there there's more to it than just that. And as you probably know, "the hobbit" is the prequal to the lord of the rings trilogy. I saw the lord of the rings movies and enjoyed them so I figured I'd give "the hobbit" a chance. They didn't make a movie out of it so if I want to know the story, I HAVE to read it in a book.

Well, it's waaay past my bed time! I must be going now!

Have a good friday and a great weekend, Karen!

PS-I never saw the movie that you mentioned in your post, BTW.

Hi Wendy,

Oh, I'm so excited. You are going to so love the Hobbit. Oh my gosh. What fun you have ahead of you. Okay, so I was pregnant when I first read the Hobbit -- I loved it -- and then I read The Lord of the Rings books -- also while I was pregnant -- I loved the books so much better than the movies. To me, the books were almost musical and magical -- the movies to me were too much fighting and war -- but the books are almost like poetry. But the Hobbit...Wow!

I loved them so much that my eldest daughter's middle name is Eowyn -- and she loves Lord of the Rings so much that she now loves her name.:)

The Hobbit is just a great story. Okay, so I don't know anything about the other book, but I bet you'll like it.

Yes, Amazon does carry my books, but I rarely go there. Oh, but did you say you went to Barnes & Noble? I love Barnes & Noble -- and order from them alot. Anyhoo...

I didn't get a workout in today cause I spent the day with my daughter:7 -- so tomorrow must be a good workday, as I do have this book I have to write...

Am planning on either Power Hour tomorrow or High Step Advanced -- I had planned Power Hour, but because I didn't get a workout in today, I'm leaning toward High Step Advanced -- mostly cause it also has cardio.

Anyway, have a terrific day, Wendy.:7 I'm so excited you got the Hobbit -- let me know how it goes.:7

>The Hobbit is just a great story. Okay, so I don't know
>anything about the other book, but I bet you'll like it.

Well, I guess you are not familiar with what the broadway show "Wicked" is about then...it's about what happened BEFORE Dorothy came along. It's about how the witches of Oz came to be...Wicked Witch of the East, of the West and Glinda the Good Witch. It explains it all and even tells you what happened even AFTER Dorothy left Oz. Very cool. So this book that I bought is where this show took it's story from. I'm interested to see the differences from play to book.

>Am planning on either Power Hour tomorrow or High Step
>Advanced -- I had planned Power Hour, but because I didn't get
>a workout in today, I'm leaning toward High Step Advanced --
>mostly cause it also has cardio.

I don't have any of Cathe's high step work outs...I don't have her high step either. I only have the Firm fanny lifter which is helpful doing alot of Cathe's stuff but I have heard that it is no good for the high step work outs. I am not ready to spend the $ on the high step yet though, thus, no high step dvds.

Last night I worked on upper and lower body. I did back and chest from CTX and then did a 30 minute mish mosh of leg work using the mix n match function of L & G. Then I did the 1st segment of stretchmax. Tonight I have to complete my upper body and then do some cardio. Tmrw is a rest day....I'm off to Atlantic City for the night. :)

>Anyway, have a terrific day, Wendy.:7 I'm so excited you got
>the Hobbit -- let me know how it goes.:7

I certainly will!

Have a great one!

Hi Wendy,

My daughter flew in from the East Coast on Friday and stayed all weekend -- left only today -- and so I had a terrific weekend.:7 Gosh, it was great to see her. And of course I've talked about Cathe -- gave her Cathe's catalog and I think she'll log on and get started, which would be great. Nothing like getting in shape when you're young -- like you are.:)

I'm so happy that you're enjoying the CTX rotation. I have been very tempted by it -- but I'm still in love with the Intensity series...

Okay, so I only have the FIRM Fanny lifter, as well, but I use it for High Step with no problem. It's not as stable, it's true, but it will work and like you, the equipment just gets to be a bit much after a while. Eventually I'll probably get Cathe's high step -- I already have two sets of lifters -- but I'd rather concentrate on workouts for now.

Well, it's very late. First chance I've had to log on. Did IMAX3 -- first 5 intervals today. Needed a short workout. It was good. Am planning some sort of muscle work tomorrow, but don'tknow yet which workout.

How's work? How's the pregnancy?

Well, off to bed for me. Have a wonderful day, Wendy.:7

Hey Karen.

So glad to hear that you had a wonderful weekend with your daughter. Aren't mother/daughter relationships great? I am very very close with my mom...always have been. I wouldn't change it for anything. :)

Last night my stomach was bothering me a bit so I took it easy on my work out...I did some prenatal aerobics and yoga and then I did stretchmax # 3. It was very mellow movement for an hour. Better than lying on the couch though, right? ;-)

Tonight, though, I must get back down to business! I think I will be doing PLB...OUCH! lol I'm not sure if I will do a shorter premix and add some cardio to it, or do the full version and not do cardio. We will see how much }(torture}( I am in the mood for when I'm actually ready to work out!:p

Went to the doc last night...all is well. Gotta go back again in 2 weeks. Then after that the weekly visits start, I believe. Soon I will have to pack that notorius "hospital bag"....OMG...it's sooo close now...HOLY COW! lol Doc said the baby is probably about average weight right now...about 5 pounds but can't estimate birth weight for another couple weeks or so....I'm hopin' for a nice little 7 pounder! Keep your fingers crossed for me! ;-) lol

Hope all is well!!!:)

Hi Wendy,

I rather took it easy yesterday, too. Haven't yet squeezed in a workout yet today -- got caught up early in a bunch of other things and am gradually working my way back to doing what I should be doing.

If I do manage a workout today, it'll probably be a circuit one cause I need to do weights today, but feel I need a little cardio, as well.

So glad that the doc says that things are as they should be. This is always good news. I believe that both my daughters weighed in just a little over 7 pounds -- so hopefully you'll get your wish.

Did you say you were having a boy -- it's amazing to me that these things are known about ahead of time nowadays.:)

Okay, so have a great day and a terrific workout -- maybe I'll get one squeezed in somehow.:7

Hi Karen.

So last night I felt better....I did PLB and 5 of the step (only-no blasts or recovery) intervals of IMAX 2. I had forgotten that w/o was set up in such a way that I actually CAN utilize it right now! So I got a mini-cardio routine in there. Step is not an easy thing to do after a good leg work out though! lol }( }( }(

BTW-you are correct, I am having a boy!:+ I initially wanted a girl but I truly do not care as long as I have a healthy happy baby! Although I was shopping the other day and I ended up admiring some very pretty delicate baby jewelery that I won't have any use for....I would really love to have one of each. Best of both worlds!:+

Have a good day!

Hi Wendy,

So glad that your workout went well. What a good idea -- to do only the cardio of IMAX2 -- and with a DVD that's really possible. I'm getting only DVD's from now on because of the endless possibilities...

Anyway -- I had two girls -- always did want a boy, but my ex at the time said he'd risk if it were for sure that we'd have a boy -- but of course nothing in life is risk free...:+

However, I do have a wonderful god son whom I adore.:)

I can imagine a step routine being somewhat difficult after a hard workout on the legs...

Well I did ME today and feel so much better for fitting it in.

I'm a little behind in writing so I'm going to get myself down to work now. Have a terrific day.:7

Hi Karen.

Glad you were able to fit ME into your schedule the other day. What a great work out that is!

How is your writing going? Catching up yet?

Last night was PUB up only premix and the 1st 20 mins of the 1st KPC premix plus the cool down and a stretch.

Tonight I probably won't be able to work out. We are taking the baby dancing! lol Supposed to go out with DH tonight after dinner to meet some people at a bar about 45 mins to an hour north of our house for some country dancing. Should be fun. It's gonna be a late night though. I should be quite tired for work tomorrow....

Hi Wendy,

Well, writing is going slower than I would like. I'm not caught up yet. But I'm trying...

Oh, dancing sounds like so much fun!:p I love to dance. One of those things in life that you just can't do without...

Have a blast, Wendy, and hopefully, the late hours won't bother you. It'll be worth it to spend a night with DH.:)

Did a premix of Low Max today -- 45 minute -- four intervals. It was good -- had a dentist appointment yesterday and the drug just put me flat on my back. Wish I could do dentistry without drugs...x(

Anyway, I did finished reading the last book of Harry Potter while I was on my back -- now I'm ready for the new on in July...

Have a great one and a terrific time dancing.:7

Hi Karen!

Hope you had a nice weekend. The weather around here was absolutely gorgeous!

Had a blast dancing thursday night. I was a little tired on friday at work but it was worth it.:)

Saturday DH and I did some housework but were basically slugs. It was nice. Gotta do that once in a while! ;-)

Yesterday ended up being my baby shower.:+ Lots of fun and lots of great gifts. Now while I am home on maternity leave I have a whole bunch of stuff to get organized, washed, etc. :)

Well, time for me to get ready for work. Have a great week, Karen!

Hi Wendy,

Wow, I'm glad you had fun dancing. Hmmm...my hubby and I are going to have to do that soon.

And you had a party -- wow -- and now you're home -- you must be thrilled to be home. How many weeks are left now? You've got to be getting excited now.

I've seen a few of your posts on other threads and I'm wondering if you can tell me a little about the Supersets DVD from the Blast series. I'm looking at adding to my collection and am looking at the possibility of that -- could you tell me what the premixes are like?

Anyway, have fun at home, getting everything ready for the new addition to the family.

Have a great one.:7

Hi Karen.

I'm not on maternity leave YET...my last day of work is May 6...but when I DO go out on leave I will have my hands full of little baby-related jobs to do! :+ I've got 5 weeks to go...well a little less than that actually until my due date!!!:7 :7 :7

I have only done Super Sets (and Push Pull) one time each so I don't recall much about it. The super sets premixes (I'm looking at the screen right now) are quite confusing to me...but there are a LOT of them...though at the end there are these three....lower body blast 33 minutes....upper body blast 59 minutes...upper body 34 minutes...the rest of the premixes are worded like these:

2 Rounds:3 cycles (1a+1b+2a+2b+2a)-72 min.
Two sets (1Ax2+1Bx2+2Ax2+2Bx2)-95 min.
Group A only (1A+2A)-28 min.

Since I have only done SS once, I am not really familiar with the way the work out is set up so this wording is "greek" to me. lol But I can tell you that there are a total of 14 premixes ranging from 28 minutes to 109 minutes. Seems like a great variety of options here once you figure out what the premixes are. lol

I personally like PUB/PLB and Muscle Endurance better which is why SS/PP hasn't been done but one time each. It's not that I don't like them...I just prefer the others...I'm sure I will do them again though.

Well, Karen, I'm off to lay on the couch for a bit before bed...it's my time to "play" with my baby...when I lay quiet on my side he likes to move around a lot. :+

Hi Wendy,

Thank you so much for telling me about the premixes on the DVD. That was kind of you. The wording doesn't mean anything to me, either.

Like you, I have my favorites -- and as far as strength and weights goes it's ME, MM, and Power Hour -- in that order. I did MIS once and pulled something in my neck and haven't done it again, although I think now that I know what I did wrong. But it's 70 minutes, which just seems a bit long to me. I really like them 60 minutes or under to tell you the truth.

But I know I should branch out -- PUB is really great -- I probably like it better than PLB -- did I get those abbreviations right? But on my schedule, I haven't yet figured out how to fit them into my rotation -- maybe once I'm more familiar with the rotations, it will be easier.

Five weeks left. Wow! You must be very excited. I remember being thrilled once I hit that mark, because I remember in my mind, it meant that if the baby were to be born a little early, it's chance for survival would be very good.

Okay, so five weeks, and counting. What fun.

Gotta run -- have a stiff target writing wise to meet today.:7

Hi Karen.

Last night I didn't exercise. I got home late cause I ended up getting into a fender bender on the way home from work so I was quite delayed in getting home.... x( By the time I got home I was irritated, aggravated, etc, (as you can well imagine lol) plus it was late and we still had to eat dinner...by the time I would have gotten around to my work out it would have been darn near 9pm and I just wasn't in the mood so I skipped it.

Tonight I was very close to skipping it again coz I just didn't feel well...I think I was feeling sick from being hot most of the day. It was an exceptionally hot day today in Jersey. My office was hot and my house is pretty warm too with the exception of the room that I exercise in (only room in the house w/the a/c ready to go) so I grabbed a pillow and laid down (on the floor!lol) in the cool until I felt better...then I did CTX kickbox (cardio only). I'm fine now...I just hope it cools off some in our bedroom so I can sleep otherwise I'll be in my work out room for the night on the floor! lol

The folks at work threw me a small baby shower at work today. Got a lot of cute cute clothes and some other fun stuff. :+

Well, I gotta run...time for bed. I hope your writing is progressing and I hope you find the time to do the pyramid work outs in full one day! :)

Hi Wendy!:)

Gosh, a fender bender. Are you okay? How fast were you going? I hope really, really, slow. You know you might want to take a walk, just to kind of get your attention outward -- tomorrow or something -- baby okay? You okay?

The fact that you did CTX Kickbox makes me think that everything must be fine -- but you know, do take care of yourself -- especially after something like that. Okay? Maybe hubby could even rub your shouders and back and such, just to make you feel great!:7

That's so cool about the shower at work -- aren't work places great for that? Working at home, I do miss things like that -- but there are other rewards from working at home, at least.

I made my page count today -- usually I'm a little short, so this was a good thing. Plus, my hero and heroine did something today I wasn't expecting -- hadn't planned, which means in my mind that the hero and heroine are alive now (in terms of bringing life to the book) and so they should be able now to work out their own problems. I love it when that happens...:7

Anyway, have a good evening. Do let me know how you are, okay?:7

Hey Karen.

We are both fine (baby and I). Not going fast...was a series of people stopping short and I just couldn't stop in time. It did damage to my car but it wasn't a hard hit.

Glad to hear that you are on track with your writing!

Last night I did CTX back and chest work and then the warm up and 4 hi/lo segments from SJP. It was 45-60 work out in total. The cardio was not very intense considering I can't do high impact but I wasn't feeling revved up for a killer cardio work out last night so it worked out well for me.

TGIF! Have a great weekend!

Hi Wendy,

So glad to hear that you and baby are fine. Had me going there a little.

Well, things are going well here -- ordered bookmarks and postcards today for the new book -- has taken me all morning getting everything together and getting it all packaged up and such.

Glad to hear that you're still hanging in there with workouts. I so admire you for that.:)

Well this morning I woke myself up with IMAX the original -- it's kinda a tough workout, but fun. A little easier, I think than IMAX3, but a little tougher than IMAX2 -- which remains my favorite.

Okay, so it's off to work I go, I go... Whistle.:7
