Hey guys,
I have had a rather awful day physically - lots of reactive hypoglycaemia episodes. I'm trying to be active right now just to get myself going again. I'm supposed to do kettlebells tonight, but it may take wine again!
Alisha, I have to tell you that I love your sense of humour- it sneaks up on us! I'm glad the ankle doesn't seem to have any permanent damage. Try to stay on both feet while you're away, won't you? We can't keep losing runners this way! I've never heard of Wharehouse 13. I got Twilight out from the library, so didn't spend a penny on it. Of course, now I want the set for Christmas!
Tricia and Alisha, it is going to be very quiet around here without you two! Janis, Jen and I are going to have to up the posting just to keep our lurkers/stalkers interested!
Janis, I get the feeling that your neighbour is lucky that you don't burn down his crops for messing with your water (inhaling deeply the whole time, of course!) We have a lot of urban grow ops here; they are generally discovered because they lit their place on fire. I guess too much smoking the product, not enough education in high school physics. Ummm, when you were talking about snow sobering you up in the parking lot at the school, you didn't mean that LITERALLY, right?
How'd the Mstar butt kicking go? I must have an inner sadist trying to get out! After doing kettlebells even once, I really think you might enjoy it for a change from traditional weight lifting. Tricia, you too - it's lifting a weight with more of a fun cardio bent.
Janis, it was posterior ("ass", girl!) all the way down to the ground, baby!
I have to say, I didn't find CardioCoach 8 all that hard. Maybe I wasn't pushing it as hard as I could, I dunno. I thought it would be brutal, but maybe I've laid enough of the groundwork for running that it wasn't. As for sharing my CC endurance workout, it's quite boring, really. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as a great, fun workout. It's literally 8 intervals of 8 minutes each at level 3, with two minutes recovery between each interval. Start with a ten minute warm up, add a 5 minute cool down and some stretching, and that's it. Boring. But I'm hoping it's effective and fun to actually do - I'll give it a go tomorrow.
Tricia, I prefer my vampires grilled, with a lot of hot sauce. Kelley Armstrong writes the Women of the Otherworld series, and she's fun. She's not a fantastically amazing writer, but she has a light touch and is enjoyable when you aren't looking for something too heavy or dark.
Jen, where you at, girl?
Okay, so here's my recruitment ad for open discussion; tell me what you think:
