Lurkers Invitation 2010

Well this is an early post for me. Today is DH birthday and right now he is talking to his sister who lives in Berlin. I asked him what he wants to do today and he doesn't know. I thought we were going to go downtown and over to the west side so he could go looking for CDs but he said that he didn't want to drive that far  so I have no idea what we will do. It is really cloudy out right now but it may clear up.
This morning was Power Hour I always find the bicep work hard. My hands want to give up before my biceps do.

Pam You are lucky that you can tan easily. I am always a pasty white color and those self tanners just seem to make a mess. They look fine inside but once I go out into the sun I can see all of the streaks. I find I get too obsessed if I am continually looking at what I am eating and the calories I am consuming. I just try to eat right and not worry about the calories, I enjoy eating that way. I remember Bewitched and Gladys Kravits. Well it would make things interesting...... maybe she slept in her chair LOL. That way she wouldn't miss a thing. We have really good neighbours now too. We live in a townhouse complex so we are really close together. We did have some that were not nice at all but they moved about a year ago. They liked to use the "F" word alot. Step Max is on the Classics one of the few I don't have. I like Step Fit the old workout clothes are funny but the workout is good. I like knowing what Cathe is lifting so I can either take the same weights as her or drop them just a bit. I know what you mean about being able to have time to change the weights instead of having to pause the DVD.

Janie Wow you make your own homemade soap as well. You are good at making things from scratch. That way you know everything that is in it. Keep checking the karate classes, you never know they may have something at a different time. The BMR and TDEE tools are in Workout Manager. You enter some information under the settings icon and then it calculates the calories burned at rest and how many calories you need to sustain your activity level.

Have a great Thursday everyone.

Cheryl

Thumper your funny, I don't think you sound like an old lady, I did the same yesterday when I was siting on my bed looking at the photo album, when I got up my back was so stiff and I thought I'm getting old! of course I won't ever should say something like that when DH its around because he would agree with me and that just would make me mad!!:D
I think it depend on what day of the week you do Imax 3, if you do it after a leg day workout that would be so hard, but if you do this at the beginning of the week after a few days of rest that would help some!
Pam and I are on week one thats right! Hard core mmmm!!! that is a tough workout! and I hate that I can keep up with Cathe, they change equipment so fast that I had to keep the remote control close by to pause...
I tried to do this one Step Max this morning instead of MM, Cathe is so cute, she sounded like a little girl:D but I couldn't do it, I was kind of lacy and I had to learn this one since I have never ever done it before, I didn't feel like it! I hope you get to have a good day with your DH!!!!:D

Pam I'm with you I don't think I can ever be ready for complete gray head:( My eldest brother love hes white hair and mustache, I don't think I can.
Hahaha DH's mine would say "But you look so sexy doing it" yeah right he is not interested on cooking, and he know how to sweet talk to me!
The remote control, the thingy that is for lock the doors and set the alarm? yeah thats right?
I'm glad that your back isn't getting in the way for you daily routine, what would we do with out a good sweat, we need to have a good, strong back.
I can totally picture you going in to the store to get another battery, if it was me I probably would have someone helping me with the jumping cables,;) Lol!!
Good thing I don't have to drive the girls to school, and all this appointments DH has to go with me so I'm riding with him on his old, big , shoe box truck!:p I kept telling him to remove the camper? I can remember the name right now! but that huge thing make the truck look like it belongs to an old man! he loves it!! I couldn't do the MM today:( I didn't want to stress my shoulder today..... I hate it... but it doesn't feel right, I took one Vicodin last night! yeah it hurts.:confused::(
Pam I'm the opposite when keeping the food journal, I don't want to eat because I don't want to stop and write everything I'm eating:p
Step Max its on the Classics ones!
I don't have any trouble getting tan, I think I get too too much tan and I look to brown...

Shani I know you probably won't see this until you get back, but I hope you have a fantastic time on your trip!

Janie (((((HUGS))))) back at you!! thanks! I hope you had a great time walking with rolly and doing HSC, it does not matter if you modify all it counts is that you are there, doing it!!! That's a good idea, your good on been organize.
Oh yes I'm planning on been very careful with my shoulder, yesterday I did kick/punch/crunch, and it bother me just doing those punch, hooks, I did really start getting worry. And today I couldn't do MM no way I can do any weight work with this shoulder I might take a week off from weight though its going to suck because I'm going to be behind Pam:D with the rotation.
I just check this today the BMR and TDEE tools according to this I'm supposedly be eating 2300 calories, I don't think I can eat that much with out gaining any weight,

Janie you should give us some classes on how to make home-made soap.... That way you know everything that is in it. especially for your face!!
I want to learn how to bead, to make necklace, bracelates.... I think that would be fun for me, not for DH though! hahaha!!!

Pam I couldn't do MM today, that suck !! anyways I just want to get this shoulder of mine to get better, to bad I cannot just go to see my doctor to get some Physical Therapy, that would slow down the proses to get all the medical clear up and get sign so we can turn in all the papers and get the OK to go to Australia... oh well I think I've learn enough on how to cure my own pain.
So today I did CCC a tough one, but it was good!! I love when Cathe say "Dig, dig, come on how bad do you want it" that pump me!!! and I want to dig, dig deeper"
Have a good day everyone!!!

Janie Two words for you: Hover Squats! Did you enjoy HSC?! I know that the food journals really help for a lot of people and what's important is finding what works for you. For me it's weighing myself daily and portion control.

I haven't used the Retin A in a LONG time and I really don't remember what my routine was.I was seeing a dermatologist and following her advice, but that was at least 20 years ago and my memory just isn't that long. Heck, these days I'm lucky to remember things for 20 minutes! :p

I will be sure to get some pictures of the balls in the trees this Christmas. They are really pretty!

On the levitation, I've decided my arms just aren't long enough ;) Or something like that!

I haven't been spending a lot of time on glass work lately. I did work on my lamp last weekend, but haven't touched it all week. Hopefully I'll make some more progress this weekend. I also have to get to the glass shop because there is another color I need to pick up. I haven't done any fusing since my class ended, but I just found a good place to get some molds so I think I am going to order a couple.

I'm so impressed with all of the things you make yourself! have you ever made cheese? I'm going to make my own ricotta chees the next time I am making lasagne. I've been reading about how easy it is to make and I hate the stuff that you buy in the grocery store. Our Whole Foods used to sell home made ricotta, but they stopped carrying it so I will have to see how mine turns out. If that works out I'll try mozzarella since it's a little more involved.

Cheryl Happy Birthday to your DH! What did you end up doing for the day? Is he off work now too? Bicep work is really hard for me too. I don't understand it because I used to love bicep work, but now I always have to go lower in weight than Cathe does. One of the issues for me is that water skiing really gets my biceps, but you would think that would make them stronger instead of weaker?! In MM Cathe was using 35 pounds for biceps and I used 25 and still struggled through it :(

I am like you when it comes to the weight thing. I can't be too obsessive about it. I am NOT like you guys though as far as not having the taste for the junk food anymore! I still love a good piece of pizza, fish and chips, big juicy hamburgers, etc. etc. etc. And I just LOVE french fries. I just don't eat those things very often but I sure enjoy them when I have them!

I think Gladys did sleep in her chair! Maybe she had something to wake her up when there was any activity in the neighborhood. I'm glad that your neighbors who weren't nice moved out!

Ok I do have Step Max then, although the 3 workouts on that disc are not my favorites. I can't remember the last time I did one of them. They are a lot more reptitive and basic than most of Cathe's workouts. It sounds like I need to get Step Fit though.

Eunice I have some of the workouts downloaded on the PS3 and I haven't really figured out how to pause, FF, etc very well, so I get really frustrated when Cathe and crew are changing weights so fast! The other day I kept hitting the pause button on the dvd remote and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working until I finally remembered the workout I was using was on the PS3
I am not crazy about those workouts on the classics DVD either but maybe I will get through Step max when it comes up in the rotation...we'll see.

My sister is only 2 years older than me and she has a full head of gray hair. Every time I see her I think no way am I going gray! :D It would be a heck of a lot easier though! Your DH sounds like mine - they figure they can sweet talk us into anything! OMG, it's terrible that the one thing that isn't covered is the darn remote for locking and unlocking the doors! How crazy is that?! I get very very crabby when I don't get a good sweat in! :D

Hahahaha - I can see you riding around in your DHs camper truck! How funny Men are so funny about their trucks. My DH has an old 1978 Ford F150 that he just LOVES. It has no power steering and manual transmission. I hate driving it, but he just LOVES it. Every time we go somewhere in it we get people coming up to us to check it out, ask what year it is. It's crazy - it's a big old truck. I just can't relate. And I hope he never has to choose between me and his truck because I'm not sure which way that would go :D Of course he is always saying he would lose if I had to choose between him and my cats!

I'm so sorry about your shoulder. It sounds like you really hurt it :( I'm glad to hear that you are taking it easy (on your shoulder at least!) and letting it heal. I think you are CRAZY though doing CCC the day before 40/20! So that's Imax, CCC, and 40/20 all in the same week! Definitely CRAZY

This morning was 40/20 and boy was it hard for me today. I even had to take a longer rest when I only had 2 segments left! I had to sit down because I thought I might be sick  Good thing I didn't have anything to eat first! Maybe it's because I haven't been sleeping well with DH out of town. He comes back tonight though - HOORAY! After 40/20 I did one of the extended stretches from STS which felt really good. Now I need to get myself moving. Happy Friday everyone!

Here's a picture of one of my crazy cats. My DH got some new shoes last weekend and he is in love with the box so now I can't throw it away!

Hi Pam I have done the cardio, core, circuit before but this time it really got me! In a good way though! my core is feeling it, not that crazy sore but I can feel that it got worked out:p
The classic ones not my favorite ones either, I have done those only once.
You little cat its a little hairy cat, so funny!!!

DH would love to have a truck that old:eek: that would be heaven for him, yesterday I had to drive the big shoe box, I just wanted t get back home it feels like its gonna fall apart, and with my good luck:p no please!!!
When I open my eyes this morning I thought, "Pam say 40/20!, do I really want to get up and do it?!! oh come on quit moaning get up and do it, enjoy while it last""" Yes! I know I'm crazy, a happy crazy!!! You know what? remember the past two weeks before we started the July rotation I was doing my own workouts, I really loved it!!! I know you might think that I'm crazy... again... I mean that fast?! 2 weeks?! but I measure my self yesterday and I've lost a inch around my body:confused::D I don't know if I was holding the tape the wrong way or what, but I was pretty happy!!! Maybe its the combination of all this rotations we have being doing, anyways it felt good, I hope I don't lost what I have gain during the "moving" time, its going to be hard with no kitchen to cook my own food:eek: yuck its gonna be hard!!!
Ok so I have to go I haven't workout yet, so here I go!!! I'll be back later to let you know how it went!!

Ok Pam I'm back that 40/20 destroy my good reputation hahahaha!!!! I knew it I was on trouble during the warm-up my legs didn't want to jump high! but I finish and I'm so glad I did.
Sorry to heard that it was hard on you, if you are having hard time sleeping I know that can hurt your good performance, but glad to heard that you DH its coming tonight so you finally can have a good night sleep and gain back all your energy for the weekend.. I know you are getting ready for the weekend:p;)
Alright I have to keep moving, a few things to do today, another busy day.. Have a good Friday everyone.

Hi Cheryl & Janie..
Hi Shani, are you having a blast?! enjoy!:p

Warmed up with TBS with light weight and also did Step Fit. Will be walking Rolly later on today. I also need to clean and organize my house. Also baking 5 loves of bread today. Very busy day today.

Cheryl, Let us know what you today on your husbands birthday. Wish him Happy Birthday!

Good job on PH. If your wrists get sore, you may want to purchase a fabulous gadget called Verda Gripps. Wonderful for those who's wrists get sore during a workout. The bonus is that you lift heavier with them.

Versa Gripps® | The Official Site | Home

I will keep checking for a Karate class.:(

I'll have to go now and check out the Workout Manager. Wonder why I never noticed that. Dah.

Eunice, You can do an active rest week. Only cardio and you won't lose your weight lifting gains. It's OK to be behind the rotation, just get healed. I'm with you on those calories. I would gain lots if I ate that much!

I do make a lot of jewelry for myself and family. Heres a link where I buy the beads and findings. It's a lot of fun. And yes, you can make things for your hubby.;) Men wear necklaces and bracelets all the time.
Artbeads.com®

Pam, Hover squats hurts so bad! I know it's what I need though. Whew! I love HSC, it's something my body needed for a long time how. It just has to be done.

LOL, My arms weren't long enough either for levitations, but they seem to be growing.:D I'm going to keep at it until I do it. I think in a way it's like wanting to do the splits, you just have to do it often in order to succeed. Anyway that's my theory.

Keep me informed about your glass projects, I love hearing about it. Are these molds for glass work? Would love to see a picture of them.

I've never made cheese successfully. I tried to make a cheese press, but it wasn't working. I think you are wise starting out with basic cheese. Let me know how it goes.

Oh bellieve me, I love eating pizza and we have it on purpose at least every week. Something sweet too on the menu that evening. Hey, you have to, right?

I'm kinda sorta streaky gray and most people love my hair. It's in the middle of my back. It looks like I purposely streak it, but I don't. Can't stand putting color in it, makes my hair so darn dry.

Great job on 40/20, that one is very tough. Good for you. Workouts can be tougher if you haven't had a good night sleep, ate, wrong or who knows what else.

The picture of your cat is hilarious! LOL:eek::eek::eek: What a doll baby.

Janie

Today was HiiT Double Wave Pyramid then I did some stretching. I was really stiff after Power Hour.

Eunice I couldn't do any of the Imaxes after a leg day. I think that would be too hard. I find I have to pause the DVD quite a bit sometimes. I think things have changed and she does change the weights slower so I don't have to pause so often. They all look so young in the early workouts.
I hope your shoulder feels better soon. Take it easy and maybe try to just do cardio and stretching this week. You don't want anything to happen before you leave.
You did CCC and you liked it????? I have to do that one on Monday

Pam We didn't do too much yesterday. After DH got off the phone with his sister he just wanted to go and spend his gift certificate that I got for him at a local electronics store. Then we bought some beer and ordered in pizza.
I find that it is now my wrists that bother me before my biceps give out. Sometimes I have to do everyother rep or stop before the set is over. I never had to do that before. Very fustrating.
Oh I still have the taste for junk food it just doesn't like me anymore. We did have pizza last night but I find it sits really heavy in my stomach. An I love french fries too, I just try to stay away from them.
I find that if I don't sleep well my workouts suffer. 40/20 is a hard one and if you are not feeling your best it would be difficult to get through. At least you finnished it, I think I may have just jumped to the stretch and forgot about the rest of the workout.
That is too funny with your cat. They just love boxes don't they and they can scrunch up into the smallest ones.

Janie He wanted to go to a store called Future Shop (which I don't think is in the US). It is the same as Best Buy (which I think is in the US).
Then we just got some beer and ordered in pizza.
I will take a look at the Versa Gripps. They may help me.

Have a great Saturday.

Cheryl

Eunice That CCC always gets me - especially the 4th segment where you do all those drop down roll back and spring up things. I spend the whole workout anticipating that coming  It's good that your core is feelin it - I always love it when I can feel my core. Oh yea, my cat is a real fur ball, the other one is too. My other cat is bigger, and he tries to stuff himself in that box too but he doesn't fit very well. He's also really clumsy which I think is so funny. Until we got him I thought all cats were graceful!

I'm with you Eunice, any time I'm driving the truck I just want to get home and hope it doesn't break down or fall apart on me! Ha Ha, glad you got through 40/20 after your CCC the day before. And today is Body Max 2 - another goody! You won't be able to do all the weight work though :( How is your shoulder feeling? Congratulations on your restuls - that is just awesome!!!! Hooray! :D I never measure myself, but think I will when I do another STS rotation.

DH got home last night but his flight kept getting delayed because they were having thunderstorms in Chicago so he didn't end up getting in under after midnight and it was 1 am when we got home. Since he was so tired from his travels I got up and did all of BM2 before he got up. I made his coffee and woke him up when I was done. How was your day yesterday? Did you get everything done that you needed to? When are you getting your car back? Soon I hope!

Janie All this talk about Step Fit is making me think I really need to get it. I can wait until I'm done with this rotation though since it isn't in the rotation Why were you baking so much bread? Do you freeze it? BTW, how did your kitties do on the trip home last week? I hope they were ok. They are probably thrilled to be back home on their own turf. And how is that Rolly doing? It sounds like he gets lots of good long walks, I bet he loves that!

HSC is really good isn't it? It goes by so fast for me, I really like that format! Good for you on the determination with the levitations. You are giving me inspiration to work harder at them. I can't relate to the analogy to doing the splits though, I have never conquered those either

Yes the molds are for fusing. I've been pretty slow with glass projects in the summer, but things usually pick up in the fall and winter when we aren't skiing anymore. The weekends just go by so quickly!

I agree that pizza is a staple! And of course when you have teenagers in the house you can't avoid (even if you wanted to!)

Your hair is beautiful and if mine looked like yours I would let it be natural too. A lot of people pay a lot of money to get their hair to look like your does!
Yes my cat is pretty cute when he is sleeping in that box, not quite so cute when he is standing on me meowing in my face at 5 am  Of course then he curls up on me and starts purring and all is forgiven ;) They leave my DH alone until he's awake, I think they know who the sucker is

Cheryl I like that Hiit DWP Just when the intervals start to seem long they start shortening up.

Beer and pizza sound like a perfect male birthday dinner. And shopping for electronics too. It sounds like all that was missing was a stop at the Home Depot to make it the ultimate male fantasy day! You would need to drive there in a big old truck though :p

I got the Versa Gripps on Janie's recommendation and really like them. They really helped me with some of the heavy weight work in STS. You definitely need to watch the video on the web site to learn how to use them though. I tried them without doing that first and could not figure out how to use them and they just got in my way. Then I watched that 30 second video and it made all the difference in the world They really help relieve the pressure on the forearms.

The good thing about 40/20 is that it's fairly short - there's really only 16 minutes of intensity so that was what I kept telling myself!

This morning I did all 95 minutes of Body Max 2. I kept thinking before I started that it was sooo long, but I really like the whole workout and it went by reallly fast. For some reason it seems like the weight work in the original drags, but it goes really fast in BM2. The only thing I don't like about BM2 is that the warm up seems to go on forever. I'm not sure what is on the agenda for today yet, other than laundry. I hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Pam

Shani I forgot to say - I hope you are having a fantastic time in NYC!!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Pam

Pam that would keep me distracted if I'm anticipating something, but I don't blame you!! the one that always get me is the rolling back, and come forward with a push up:confused: I get my leg on the way so I can not keep up with Cathe! Oh yeah all of the jumping, tucking, butt kicks really hit the core.. one day I was demonstrating to DH how I was doing the butt kick he told me how he could see my muscles on my stomach... hey that was encourage and I though hell yeah I want to do this all day long!!:D
I have to confess something though yesterday I bake a chocolate cake my girls love that so DH does so I ate a slice of chocolate cake with a glass of milk:eek: I wanted to go workout right after but I knew that today we had to do the 90 min workout, that was intense, I had to push pause a few times to come in and get some water...
My legs were glad too after I was done with those running man!! whew!!
I don't get my truck back until Monday they called yesterday saying that they haven't get the parts the had order so we'll see.
You should measure now, or before the new rotation, I think when I do STS I get big all over, I feel like I got swollen all over so my close fit tight, but when we do circuit I loose some of that.
I have been doing some of the exercises I did when I was going to the PT so its feeling better, I still taking the Motrin just to help a little bit more, I did the wights today but I went way low on weights, my heavy one for back was 10 pounds and for flies were 5 pounds for the shoulders circular thingy I did 3 pounds and shoulder press I did 8 pounds, I wanted to skip it but I figure to use it as a rehab instead:confused: I was tired though I keep telling my self just one more and your done, so I hardly did the core, I was thinking of you Pam I say Pam is doing it so I better do too;)
Wow! so you didn't had a good night ether?! but good job you did the longest workout of the week, see I can let you down!!!
I did everything I had to do yesterday on some more that I shouldn't have done (cake) we watch movies all afternoon,we watch mama mia! and its complicated! funny movies... we play the rock band until late.. so it was good!!

Cheryl I am with Pam about the Beer and pizza a perfect male birthday dinner. And shopping for electronics too. The Home Depot would ed be the cherry on the top! Funny Pam could be a good party planner!!
My shoulder its getting better, every time I do the PT exercise it get sore but I know its on its way to healing... I hope so!
Are you done with the rotation?! I'm just wondering because you say that you are going to do CCC on Monday... but go ahead and join the CRAZY ONES do it.. a little advice contract you stomach during the whole workout, it would help you gain more speed(?) kind of, so you can jump higher, thats what I do and my core its feeling it... good sore!!
I was thinking about your hands getting tired before your biceps, I asked DH and he told me a few thing to think about.
He asked if you type all day? check the wide of your grip, do thing specifically to strength your wrist, also when you are doing is because your fatigue from, squats, bench press, flies, shoulders, triceps, so something that I was thinking is leave along the biceps and work them the next day, when you can pay more attention to your form, also he suggested to use the EZ bar just because you hold the bar on a different way, something that I did for my self and it helped me alot was doing the wrist curls, you know Cathe does this on some dvd's I actually did as part of gaining strength on my forearms.... so something to think about I hope you find something that work for you..

Janie thanks for the website I have to look in to... thats funny though I don't think my DH would EVER wear something like that, you know its a Marine thing:p You have to post some pictures of what you do, jewelry, I love jewelry.. did you took classes to learn ? or its all you doing it by your self? I was thinking that I should take some classes first, but then I thought that I would like to take pastry classes too, but that more for open a pastry business, I would like to have something like that, since I like to bake and do recipes DH and my sisters keep telling me that I'm good at it so I should do it for a"JOB" I have to look around when I get to our new station, Australia!
Sounded like you had a busy day, baking, working out, walking rolly, I hope you didn't wore your self of,:p
I picture your hair and I bet its beautiful, Pam its right WE some times pay a lot of money to get it that way, so you are lucky lady!

Well today was Body Max 2 I did the weight part also but I went way low on my weight... it was soooooo tough.. but I did finish and now I'm going to cuddle with DH:p maybe watch some movies.... again...
happy Saturday everyone!
Cheryl you trick me hahaha!! I just went to the WM to see whats for Monday and I saw that you have CCC for Monday.... funny!!!

Pam That was sure a long day for both you and your hubby. I hate it when flights are delayed, all you want to do is get home. Yep he loves his beer and pizza. Dang I forgot about Home Depot HA HA. Another store where men never complain about going to. We don't have a big old truck but we do have a Jeep does that count. I need to look at those versa gripps, I am hoping that it will help me with the heavy weights. BM2 wasn't too bad, I have the original BM for next Saturday. It has been years since I have done that one.

Eunice Ummmmm chocolate cake, I loooove chocolate cake. Beer and pizza is so good and so easy and cheap :D. He is not a fancy restaurant kinda guy. No I have one more week of the rotation. It is going to be hard because I go back to work on Monday :( and now I have to work out in the evenings again bummer.
Yes I do type all day at It seems like that is all I do. I do have an EZ bar that I used to use but since I got my straight bar I have only been using that. Maybe I should go back to it for the biceps.

This morning was Boot Camp, man those squat thrust climbers get me every time.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Cheryl

Eunice That is very cool that your DH could see your stomach muscles when you were doing the butt kicks! That would certainly inspire me! I've always wanted six pack abs but have never been successful :( My lower abs are my problem spot. You deserve a piece of chocolate cake once in awhile and you shouldn't feel guily and beat yoursef up about it as long as you aren't doing it all the time.
I have to have a big glass of ice water with me whenever I work out. Very important to keep hydrated, especially when it is so hot. I can't believe you did the weight work in BM2 yesterday, but I'm glad to hear that you went easy on the weight.
Oh yea, those running mans in 40/20 are killer. I'm so glad to have the 60 break in between sides on those! I'm glad to hear that I helped to push you through that long workout yesterday! Maybe I can help you get through Core Max today too? :D I hope you had a nice snuggle with your DH yesterday! Sounds like a nice Saturday! And it sounds like a fun Friday too with funny movies and Rock Band!

My DH would never wear any jewelry either. A watch is the closet he will ever get to jewelry. I did make a breakthrough last week though because I got him to buy a shirt that had pink stripes in it AND one with purple! That was huge  Eunice that would be so cool if you had your own pastry business! There is a community college here that has a culinary school and I've been thinking about going to it. I prefer cooking to baking though and don't want to do it as a business because the hours are terrible. I have a niece who has a cupcake business as a side business that she runs out of her house. I'm not really sure how much business she does, but she has a website and it seems like she is making cupcakes all the time.

Cheryl Yes flight delays are a real pain. They always seem to happen when you are really tired and really want to get home! I do think that the Jeep counts - it's definitely up there on the testosterone scale ;) It's funny with the Home Depot thing - my DH could go there every day and just wander around, but when he gets into a clothing store or mall he starts getting really antsy and wants to leave within about 15 minutes. I am the same way when I go to Home Depot with him though! If you have the orginal BM for next Saturday I guess that means that Eunice and I have it coming up in the rotation soon. I really like the step and interval part of it but am not as crazy about the weight section. For some reason it seems like it goes on forever. Probably because it is hard!

Sorry that your vacation is almost over :( It's always so hard to get back into work after being away for awhile. Oh yea - those squat thrust climbers are killers! I am always so glad when I get them finished, but then the ice breakers at the end are no walk in the park either!

Janie How did your bread turn out? There is nothing like the smell of freshly baked bread!!
Hi Shani

This morning I did Core Max segment 1 and then an extended stretch from STS. I think that is the easiest of the Core Maxs, although those planks at the end where you go forward and backward always get me. Yesterday I ended up working on my lamp in the afternoon ad then we went to the lake in the evening when it cooled off a little. The water is like a hot tub again though after all these 100+ days  I think the plan for today is going to be about the same. I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Pam

I don't think I posted yesterday! Been cleaning and stuff like that there. LOL

Walked Rolly and planning on doing come kind of cardio today. Don't know which one yet. Mainly a rest day.

Cheryl, Great job working with DWP and a stretch. I would be stiff after PH as well. LOL.

Pam, So glad you got Versa Grips, aren't they amazing little things. Not only does it help the forearms but the wrists too.

Wow, great job on BM2. 95 min. all together is a long time. I think I might do that one soon. Thanks for the inspiration. It's my day off today though, and will do some more shopping.

You do need to get Step Fit. It's a good step workout.

I bake wild yeast bread because I know what I put into it. No artificial or chemicals for this girl. At least if I can help it. I bake enough to last a couple of weeks or so, then I freeze it. The bread freezes very well.

The kitties were stressed out during the traveling part. I don't like putting them through it, but after they stop traveling they are just fine. They look for things that are new to lay on and sleep and play with each other. It's really not to bad for them.

Rolly is a joy. He's become my walking buddy. He does very well at it too. He loves it when we go fast on our walks.

I don't know how to do the splits, I just thought that it would take the same determination doing them as the levitation's. I think it was a bad analogy too.

LOL, your kitty sounds so adorable character! More pictures please.

Eunice, You all are doing great on that rotaion. 95 min. of workout. Wow. I'm very impressed.

Good luck on your truck, let us know what happens.

I don't have any pictures of my jewelry. I learned it from the internet. Many things can be done by watching videos on how to make things. I do it all the time. Save your money for your passion on owning a bakery shop. And learn the art of pastry baking.

Enjoy cuddling with hubby and watching movies.;) What a nice way to spend the day.

Cheryl, Great job on BC. squats are hard for sure.

Pam, Wild Yeast Bread: For months I've been trying to figure out how to make large holes in my crumb. Finally I did. It was in the proofing all the time. Every hour someone told me to fold the dough and let it raise for another hour and do this 4-5 times. It worked, now all I have to do is perfect it.

Great job on CM and your stretch. I hate planks, guess that means I need them the most. LOL:rolleyes:

Enjoy the lake.

Janie

Pam I have only meet one man that liked to shop for clothes. It was kinda weird that he got all giddy about clothes shopping. My hubby hates shopping for clothes too, but put him in an electronics store and I won't see him for a while. I seem to remember that I liked the step and interval part in the original BM too but I can't remember too much of the weight work. I will let you know.
I am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. Even though we really didn't do anything the two weeks went by really fast. It isn't so much the job that I am not looking forward to it is the getting up early and the two hours of commuting every day.
I did Core Max 3 today and I thought that one was the easiest. I always struggle with 1 the most. Wow you have had some really hot days. So much for going to the lake to cool off. Hopefully it will cool down soon for you.

Janie I was really stiff after power hour, it was one I hadn't done in a long time. The stretch really helped though. Glad to hear that your kitties survived the trip. Too bad they don't travel as well as dogs do. One of our neighbours has a cabin that is about 6 hours from where we live and they take their cat and dog up there with them. The cat seems to know when they are going to the cabin so he is fine with the car ride. Both the cat and dog love it at the cabin. But put him in the car to take him to the vet and he is not so happy.

Eunice Hope you had a great weekend and now have your truck back.

Shani Hope your are enjoying New York, I saw on the news today that it was really really hot there.

This morning was Core Max 3 and I did the Stability Ball stretch in Stretch Max. Back to evening workouts tomorrow (sigh....)

Have a great Monday everyone.

Cheryl

Janie Sounds like you've been getting things back in order at home, good for you! I haven't used the Versa Grips much since finishing STS, but I will definitely be needing them the next time I do it. They definitely save the wrists and forearms.

Your comment about your fingers not being strong enough got me thinking. The way I got around that with pikes was by doing them on my fists instead so I tried that with the levitations. I still wasn't successful in doing them, but I was able to lift my legs for about a second, so maybe there is hope for them after all :) i will certainly keep trying.

Your bread sounds absolutely heavenly. Maybe when things cool off around here I will give it a try.

Cheryl That would be weird seeing a guy get giddy about clothes shopping, that is certainly not my DH! I agree that one of the worst parts about working for me is just having to set that alarm clock. I hate the alarm clock! I have close to 2 hours of commuting a day too. It's no fun at all, especially when there are traffic issues. We are just the opposite on the Core Max's - I have a harder time with Core Max 3 than with Core Max 1! I did number 1 yesterday and didn't think it was too bad, but then it was my only workout for the day too.

Eunice How are you? How was your Sunday? I hope you and DH had fun cuddling and watching movies and playing Rock Bank this weekend!

Shani I hope you are keeping cool in NYC!

This morning was Imax2, always a great workout! It's not supposed to be as hot here today as it has been, only 93 and in the 80's tomorrow. We are even supposed to get some rain which would be good! Tonight we are going to see Melissa Etheridge in concert so I'm not sure if I'll make it up for a workout in the morning since it will be a late night for me! have a great Monday everyone!

Pam

Cheryl first of all... I hope the day goes easy and smooth for you, fist day of going back to work its always hard. I would hate the 2 hours commute too.... At least you get to workout after..
Looks like your hands are going to be tired just for what you do at work, you should try to change the straight bar for the EZ bar.
boot camp not my favorite one:confused: or I always do this one on a bad day, not good. NO truck yet maybe today or tomorrow, I hope so!!!

Pam oh no I don't have a six pack either:p I would love to but after having 4 kids... thats my excuse.... I can't ,I don't have love handles and I am happy with that.
Sorry:eek: yesterday no body pushed me to workout, I got up with a big headache, it was a lazy Sunday, I will try to squish it in today, also tomorrow I have a doctor appointment so I don't think I'll workout tomorrow either.
How fun you are going to a concert.. have fun, enjoy I hope you get to take pictures:p.
I have a big cup of water too, but with some workouts I consume more than another's.
DH doesn't even wear his wedding ring, a watch only one of those black ones with alarm and I don't know what else, but a nice one never, I got him one after our second deployment the watch still there, with out a scratch like new:confused:.
I wast telling DH about it the Coffee shop- pastry, he think that is a great idea, going back to school, to take some business classes and pastry classes, something that I have to look in to whenever Stacy is at all day school. You should go Pam, I like both cooking and baking, we are a big coffee drinkers so thats why I would like to have something like a nice coffee shop, since DH its getting retired young and his always thinking about what to do after that, well I got an idea for him as well.....
That's a lot for a guy a shirt with pink and purple!!! I have to work to get DH to wear something like that! Its not that bad I have 3 brothers and they wear this kind of shirts with out a problem, I think age has to do a lot too.

Janie all the cleaning and stuff, not my favorite when I have everyone at home! Lol.
You are right many thing can be learn by watching videos..
Oh yeah we have to save money for my future bakery-coffee shop. Definably.I had a very lazy weekend, we did nothing the big girls always have something to do but us NOT THAT MUCH we are a couple of bore people... watching movies, playing the rock band, well I get very relax doing that when I sing I can be as laud as I can and I love it.....:eek:

Pam today I did Imax 2 and core1 I was thinking about you guys... about the crazy levitations No way I can do that I can lift my butt of the ground but not my legs, is like they are sleeping not feeling at all and heavy legs, and those planks were hard I was thinking I have to do tis more often!!

I did Imax2, it was good. I think on Monday its going to be always hard to workout, I was running out of energy on interval 8 and 9 but then again those are the hard ones on this workout, after that I did core max1 since I didn't do it yesterday.... tomorrow I have a doctor appointment early in the morning we have to go Dessert Palm and then hopefully pick my truck so I don't think I will have time to workout, we'll see.
I don't have much to do today but laundry so another long and boring day:confused::mad: I hope you guys have a better day then mine...

Cheryl I hope yesterday was a good day for you and that you weren't too tired when you got home. Were you able to get your workout in?

Eunice Yes, I guess we should be happy with not having love handles. I didn't have 4 kids, so don't get to use that excuse! ;) I hate waking up with a headache, hope you were feeling better yesterday!
My DH does wear his wedding ring sometimes, but he takes it off for golf, skiing, to work on the car, etc. so half the time he doesn't know where it is. It was lost for 2-3 years once and we thought it was gone forever but then found it! It was pretty funny. He does have a nice watch that he wears sometimes, but that is it for his jewelty.
I love your coffee shop idea and I can't wait to come and try it! I don't drink coffee - I'm a tea drinker, but my DH loves coffee. That is the only way I can get him up in the morning, I bring him a cup of coffee every morning after I finish my workout. How much longer before your DH will be able to retire?

It sounds like we do levitations about the same! Those things are crazy. I don't usually mind planks (except sometimes those side planks in BM2!), but in that Core Max after already holding the planks forever those front and back things just kill me!

I hope you get your truck back today!

No workout for me this morning. It was about midnight by the time we got home so I set the alarm for a little later than normal and then still kept hitting the snooze button! The concert was really fun though, I just think she has the most amazing voice and just really love her music. Maybe I'll work out after work? I don't think that's very likely but we'll see. Have a great day everyone!

Pam

Did C&W weight only premix today. I'm starting to lose the pounds I gained in Vegas. Yea!

Took Rolly for a 45 min walk. He is such a doll baby. When we first start off (I have him leashed) he just about chokes himself, until he calms down during the walk. He gags for a bit. Such a drama King. LOL And, if I forget to brush his teeth at night, he let's me know all about it, by staring at the brush until we brush his teeth. If I lput a harness on him, he'll cry until I take it off. I mean full blown yelps! It's not even hurting him, I've checked it all out. He just doesn't like it. LOL :D

Will CleanMax again today. Our house needs it so badly. I got the bedrooms in fairly good order, also the kitchen and the bathrooms. Today I'll vacuum, dust everything in high places and try to polish all counter tops. That should do it for today. Will CleanMax again tomorrow, until everything is to my satisfaction. Just two or three more days of heavy cleaning is all.

Expecting my Dad, Melody and Joy (my sisters) and my niece (Melody's daughter) over this Friday and Saturday. It will be a blast. They are coming from East of the Mountains. They usually do this once a year, and we always have so much fun! They will be in a clean house when they arrive. LOL:)

Will start an STS series starting Tuesday after my relatives leave.

Cheryl, Great job on CM and stretch. You go girl!

Pam, Congratulations on making progress with the levitation's. I tried it on my fists. Hey, I like that!

Great job on IMax2. Oh my! Melissa Etheridge concert! Have Fun, Fun, Fun!

Eunice, sounds like you are going to have your own company. Learn lots form school and enjoy the process of becoming your own boss. Good for you!

Also great job on Imax2 and Core Max.

Pam, I bet the concert was amazing! Sounds like you should just have a good old fashion rest day.;)

Noooooooo I lost my post when I was almost finished...... I was trying to fix my keyboard because it decided to start doing French on me. Let me get back to you guys when I get it fixed. Some of my buttons are doing weird things right now.

Janie Congratulations on your weight loss!! Good for you!

It's funny how excited dogs get about their walks! We had a boxer and he was the same way when we first started walking, always pulling on that leash and choking himself. It's funny that he likes getting his teeth brushed so much too! Cute!

The Cleanmax doesn't sound like too much fun, but it is one of those things that has to be done. My pantry needs to be cleaned out but I have been putting that off for awhile. I'm waiting for a rainy day ;) It sounds likeyou are in for a very fun weekend and you will have a sparkling house when your guests arrive!

The concert was really fun, but the older I get the harder it is to do something like that on a weeknight! I wasn't going to miss that show though!

Cheryl Oh man, that stinks losing your whole post! That happened to me once and it was really frustrating. I hope that the rest of your week is going better!

Eunice How did things go for you yesterday? Were you able to get your workout in?

Shani I hope you are having a great time in NYC! Can't wait to hear what shows you saw and everything you did!

Last night I came home early enough that I got my workout in. I did SJP. I don't really like the step part of that one but love the high/low and weight intervals. This morning was Rhythmic step, another of my favs. Now it's off to work. Have a great day everyone!
