Eunice I am feeling much better after my crash but I didn't ski well on Saturday at all. I imagine that crash was still lingering in the back of my mind somewhere. Sorry to hear you were trying to pick fights with DH. I was cranky with DH the other day for no reason too. Sometimes that just happens because they are around and we take out our frustrations on them. How were the honey garlic ribs? The sound sooo good. Are you going to share that recipe? Did you have fun at Sea World yesterday? It sounds like a long day but a lot of fun. And how is that ankle doing? I hope it is doing well!

Cheryl Sometimes I'm glad my cats are a little stupid. Although one day one of them spent an entire day in a cupboard :rolleyes: You're right, water is not very soft or forgiving when you are hitting it at high speed. I ruptured my ear drum a couple of years ago in a crash. :confused: I'm glad to hear that your yoga is helping. Are you sleeping better? I hoe you get some nice weather soon. All the cold and rain would be so depressing. :(

Janie Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend planned, I'm sure you had a great time with your family. I have looked at the hardcore thread you mentioned a few times. There is one person in that checkin that seems to workout 2 - 2 1/2 hours a day! Wow! I get worn out just reading about some of her workouts. Thanks for your kind words on my projects. I have been enjoying them.

Cheryl I don't think we can always trust what that scale is telling us. According to my scale, I put on 3 pounds since Saturday/! I know there is absolutely no reason for that and it has to be water retention or something, but I still won't feel good until I see it gone again!

We have some friends who live on a private ski lake about 30 miles from here and they invited us to come for the weekend. We didn't really want to stay all weekend so we went on Saturday afternoon and skiied with them and then had dinner there. We were going to come home that night but after dinner and wine we ended up staying. Then we skiied with them yesterday morning and came home after lunch. This morning I did BM2 cardio blast premix. That was pretty intense. I didn't realize how much of a rest those little leg sets give you. I was missing those! I'm nt sure what's on tap for today yet but think I'll have to take a trip to the mall. I've had my eye on a top at Loft and they have 40% off all purchases through today :D Have a great Monday.

Cheryl, Rain, Rain, go away! It's awful, it's been raining here for over a week straight and will rain more for yet another week or more. Jeesh:mad:

The stretching you are doing are really good on your body. Sure hope your back gets much better soon. I know what you are going through. Just move slow and nice and easy.

I know working out and trying to lose weight can be frustrating at times, but just keep up the good work, and keep surprising your body with a variety of exercises. Eventually the weight has to move out sometime and it will, just keep on doing it.;)

Pam, I did have a great time with Monique and Cody (daughter and grandson). They made this spaghetti that had just a sprinkle of buffalo meat in it. Yum it was good. I brought homemade sourdough bread and made garlic bread out of it. All this with a huge salad. Most of all had a chance to catch up with stuff. It was really nice.

Yes! The hardcore check in are for people who are consistently doing hard core exercising. I'm in awe every time I read over there. For me it is inspiring too.

The projects you have are very interesting to me and someday would like to do that. I've gone to a glass work place that does that to see if they have any classes, but they are so expensive. So for now, I'll just make play with the stuff that I have and finish some projects I've started. Please, continue to let us see your beautiful work.

It sounds like you and hubby had a wonderful weekend with your friends. Skiiing is a great workout in itself and then to put BM2 premix blast on it. Wow, great job. Enjoy your shopping and hope you get all kinds of deals.

Chery I'm glad all that stretching is working out for you! I know what to feel with the love HATE scale we've work so hard that every time we jump on one of those we had our fingers cross and see if the needle move down:confused: I had the same but its being a while since I weight my self, all I know is that last year my weight was between 128-130 and after that in this new (old) year I'm 132-135:mad::confused: and I hated it so that's why I don't ride those things, I'll go by feeling if my love handles don't show when am wearing my jeans I'm happy:D
But what else we can do just keep working out hard and tried to eat as healthy as we can;)

Pam I'm glad you are feeling good! you are a though cookie:p hahaha!!! You did not took a day off of skiing WOW! I guess the water has to watch up every time you go skiing:p;)!!

Janie Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend as well, I can't imagine Mr Joey doing some of those dance moves either, anyways its good that he is so active! buffalo meat hmmm sounds yummy! I love sourdough :confused: that's bad!! I also have check the hardcore forum they are so busy and working so hard, but for now I'll be just lurking" :D

We gotback home so late at 11:00pm I couldn't stay awake all the way back home and I wanted so would keep company to my DH it was a long tired ride... but we did good the girls had sooo much fun and I did too... Stacy wanted to get wet in every show so we sat on the soak area and sure we did!!! I did :eek: we were watching the dolphins show there small and I was thinking "Not much water they can splash" well they use a big huge weal and I got a big splash right on my camera, glasses, face that I wasn't expecting funny and fun for Stacy:confused::D

Ok so I'll try to go workout!! and have a good day everyone!

Did TBS with Joey and a step up for 30 min. Then took out Rolly for a fast walk for 45 min. All was good. The wood is so beautiful at this time of year with all the scotch broom blooming, the color yellow is so beautiful.

Eunice, I think when you grow your own sourdough culture to make a starter and then make bread from it, it is so much better than store bought (which is full of preservatives) and better for ya. I don't know how much more better, but...if you ate a lot of it, it would be bad. LOL Everything in moderation.;)

Lurking is good, but sometimes putting out feelers is good too. I'm glad you did that.:D

Those pictures are fantastic!:eek: I bet you all had the time of your life. How fun is that? I loved being there when I went, it's something I will never forget and would plan another trip if I could.

Thanks Janie I don't know if I can do my own sourdough I think that's a lot of work I can bake easy stuff but that one looks complicated!! good for you though that you can bake your own!!

I did BM2 I burned those extra calories that ate yesterday for sure! I was dieing Pam I don't know how you can handle skiing, working out:eek: Ok you are good...:p I was soak and wet after I was done stretching I told my DD to take pictures of me because I was soak, crazy!!! but I can't see the sweat in the pictures oh well!!!

Janie Sounds like you had quite the serious workout day and then a fast walk with Rolly on top of that! Sorry to hear you are getting so much rain. We are getting more than normal here, but since we have had several drought years it is making up for it. We were lucky and didn't get much rain at all over the weekend, but last night it rained all night and then we had a big thunderstorm this morning. Does wonders for the morning commute. :rolleyes: Your spaghetti dinner sounds heavenly! Homemade sourdough garlic bread - yum! What a nice way to spend the evening! I did some glass work in my kiln at home this weekend, but both pieces cracked during slumping :mad: I need to figure out what I did wrong. I think maybe I brought the temperature down too fast.

We ended up not skiing yesterday. My DHs back has been bothering him and after 3 days straight figured it would be a good idea to give it a rest. I went to the mall and didn't end up getting the top that I had been lusting after. When I tried it on it just didn't do anything for me this time. :confused: I did get a couple other tops though, I just love the clothes at the Loft.

Eunice I'm glad you had so much fun at Sea World. I enjoyed your pictures on facebook, you have such an attractive family. It looked like everyone had a great time. It's so funny that Stacy likes getting soaked like that. I am just the opposite, when I go to those things I try my best to stay dry!
You definitely do know me - you pegged the weekend exactly, good friends, good food, skiing and good wine. :D all the important things in life!

That BM2 cardio blast pre-mix was a killer wasn't it?! I have never done that premix before. Usually I'll just put the tape it and do the step and then the intervals. When we kept moving to the next cardio segment I was wishing for the leg work for a break!

This morning was ME. Another goody but not quite the killer. I was really ready to be done with the bicep work though! I was about to say happy Monday everyone, but realized it is TUESDAY! So have a great Tuesday everyone, and Happy June 1st!

Good job with your workout.. today we had Stacy's graduation after that I went groceries shopping, cook dinner and went to the girls scout meeting for Stacy, I just got back home its nothing to watch "boring" so I'm going to my gym;) it was so hot after noon that's why I did not workout before. well I hope you had a great day and I'll talk to you later good night:D;)
 
Yesterday I did the double cardio from 4DS. That was a really good one and then I did the band stretching from Stretch Max. I didn't have a chance to get on here yesterday. The evening seemed to get away from me and before I knew it, it was time for bed. Today was Push/Pull. That was a nice easy one.

Pam You went sking again the next day!! Good for you to get back to it after your crash. Wow your cat spent the day in a cupboard. That's why we need to count ours before we go out LOL. I am sleeping better but our weather really sucks..... We had a torrential downpour last night. It lasted an hour and the drains couldn't keep up with it. We live in a townhouse complex and there were a few flooded basements. We were lucky though ours is still dry. It was coming down so hard that I had to turn up the TV to hear Cathe over the noise. It is getting depressing, I have worn my winter clothes for the past couple of days because it has been so cold. I know that I can't always count on the scale but it really threw me that I had put in 8 pounds, it is usually around 3. My clothes were really feeling tight too. But on the bright side I have lost 6 of them so far. You have friends with a private ski lake......nice. Those blasts in BM2 are intense aren't they.

Janie All this rain is crazy. I am really tired of it and it is so damp and cold too. Saturday I wore my winter coat with a sweater under it and I still froze. Your forcast sounds the same as ours rain for at least another week. The stetching is helping. I can still feel a knot in my lower back but it isn't as bad as it was.

Eunice I knew I had gained a bit of weight but come on now......I wasn't eating that bad. I would like to have my weight around 128 - 130, but it seems I can't get below 135. Your pictures of Stacy's grad were really good. She seemed so proud to be graduating. It is funny that she likes to get soaked all of the time. Me I would sit up at the very very top to stay dry LOL. How is your ankle doing?

Eunice Wow, did you get your workout in last night? I almost forgot what yesterday's workout was - ME right? Is that what you ended up doing? You had quite the busy day! Stacy was certainly the girly girl for graduation and girl scouts too. I just went home, cooked dinner and vegged out :p I was worn out after the weekend.

Cheryl It sounds like you had a good workout yesterday! I guess we see what is in store for next week. I didn't have push/pull so just went and bought the download. I'm sorry to hear you are having such lousy weather :( that just gets so depressing, I hope it gets better for you soon. It must have been quite the storm if you had to turn up the volume to hear Cathe! wow!
The private ski lake isn't just our friends. The neighborhood developer built the lake and there are maybe 15-20 lots/houses on the lake. Right now there are only 3-4 houses actually built and only 2 families living in the neighborhood, but some of the people who own lots there come and ski. They also sold some memberships to people who aren't owners to help offset the cost. They've had some trouble selling because they started the development right before the economy crashed and it's out in the middle of nowhere on top of that. It's very pretty, but not where I would want to live. It's fun to go visit though :D

This morning was Imax2, I really do love that workout. It is so tough but so much fun. Eunice, what is happening with your ankle? Is it going to be an Imax day for you or something that will not be so hard on your ankle? My DH left for Myrtle Beach this morning. I'm still deciding whether I will go down or not. He is staying with a friend who has a condo there, but his wife isn't going so if I do go it will just be for the weekend. OK, time for lunch for me. Have a great day! Hi Kelly and Janie!

Pam, Oh, I'm so sorry about your beautiful glass pieces. You must be so disappointed. Keep at it though, I know you enjoy that kind of art. They will be better the next time.;)

I wonder if there is a Loft in my area. I'll check it out, sounds like a place to get bargains.

Eunice, Anyone can do sourdough breads. It's just watching the time and making sure certain things get done. But, when you are working and have children, it is harder to find that time.

I believe after the BM2 you most certainly did burned the calories you ate the day before. LOL:D

Cheryl I can't believe I forgot to mention I was happy to hear that 6 of those 8 pounds are already gone! I have a real love/hate relationship with my scale. Some days I love it and some days I want to throw it out the window! :rolleyes:
 
Cheryl good that you enjoy your workout even with the rain that was something I admired you because you workout in the evenings yesterday I did it for a very first time but I have to push my self to do it I get distracted with everyone home and I cannot concentrate so that is a challenge and I give you 5 you're doing fantastic!! Ok now I'm with you we rally have to do something to loose a serious weight yesterday I did weight my self and not good:confused::mad: I'm going to try to do the zone diet at least for the next two weeks before I take off to Mexico. I don't know how but if you want the easy version of the diet let me know and I'll send you one copy, its pretty easy it tells you what to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, I did it once its hard but really good results.:p

yes I did workout last night I was done by 9 pm pretty late and instead of doing the ME I did IMAX 2 today I will do ME my ankle was ok not 100% but I did it and I'm fine.. Oh I was tired yesterday and more after workout I was thinking about you with the humps:D Lol!!! I like this workout its really hard one isn't?! Ok so Cheryl & Pam I got the appointment for this Friday to get the MRI I won't found out anything until a week after I hope everything is fine but really I need a break:p:D

This morning I did ME it was a toughie one I keep thinking that you and Cheryl are serous business!! You say ME it wasn't as hard as Imax 2 and Cheryl say that push & pull it was an easy one :confused::eek: OK I think I'm next needing the rest but I'll wait 11 more workouts and I'll be off for a week...

Eunice OOOO....I don't like evening workouts. I'm always tired so I feel like I don't do as well, but then the workout gets me all keyed up and I can't get to sleep! :confused: I am alone this week. I had a pampered chef party to go to last night. It was fun and I was pretty good, I just got a couple of small things. I didn't get home until almost 10 though and I was tired so I went right to bed. Tonight I have a meeting from 7-8pm because my boss is in China, so I guess that will keep me occupied. Still thinking about maybe going down to the beach tomorrow for the weekend but we'll see. It's funny that we were both thinking about each other while we were doing those dreaded genie hops! I'm glad to hear you got your MRI appt so you can find out exactly what is going on with that ankle. It sounds like it has been doing pretty well lately though :D

That's funny that your DH took away the toys. I used to tell the kids if they didn't pick up their toys I was going to give them to Goodwill and then they wanted to know who Will is?! :rolleyes: Wow, only 11 workouts and then you are on your trip!!! I can't wait to see those pictures!

I did disc 9 legs this morning. I woke up hungry which is not a good thing and then my legs started getting shaky about 30 minutes in! :confused: I got through it all but I think I will definitely be feeling this one. I am wondering why we didn't have abs today - seems like there are not a lot of abs in this rotation so I will probably do some tonight. Have a great day. Wow sound like a busy evening with work stuff, ankle Its doing ok so far, last Sunday when we went to seaworld all day walking it really hurt but the next day was ok, the ginie hops its not strong as the other one but I still do I just kept thinking "!do you want to burn some fat, then jump higher"! :confused:

Why is not a good thing woke up hungry?! Did you use really heavy weight?! I did disc 9 too I check what was the weight I was supposed to use I did ok in some I went heavy in other I went low... definitely I'll feel this one tomorrow too! I know there in not enough abs on this week so I'm doing the same adding the abs too.

This week am planning on being pretty strict with my food portions, I just want to be ok when I go to Mexico I want to be able to eat all the goodies that my family will cook. I'm sure when I get back I'll be sooo ready to kick my own booty!!! I see broccoli in my future a lot of broccoli!!:confused:

Hi Eunice Looks like it's just you and me again :D I came back to say that after my meeting tonight I did stability ball abs. Somehow I had never done that one before :confused: Not sure how that happened but WOW, it's a killer. And my BUTT is hurting already from this mornings leg workout so I'm going to be having a tough time sitting in my chair tomorrow Cheryl!
I'm glad that you didn't have any trouble getting to sleep after your evening workout. I used to lay there looking at the ceiling :rolleyes:. Shopping was fun but I was pretty good. If I do go to the beach they have great outlet malls there so I want to save my shopping $$ for that! I think your ankle must be doing alright if it survived all of those one legged genie hops! That is a lot of stress on the ankle! I don't really mind a weekend on my own, but it is going to be a nice weekend so the thought of the beach is getting more tempting. I guess I'll soon have to make a decision one way or the other! Only 12 more days and now closer to 11! I bet you are nervous but you are going to have so much fun. I'll be envious of all of that good food you are eating and all of that silver shopping!
It's not good that I woke up hungry because I don't like to eat before a workout so my stomach was growling the whole time! That's probably why I started getting shaky too! I tried to do some fairly heavy weights for most of the workouts. Tomorrow we will be in pain together!
I understand wanting to be ready for all of te goodies in Mexico. Good luck with your preparations. Sorry about the broccoli :p I hope you don't start dreaming about it!

Hi everyone. Sorry but I have been busy getting junk together to take to the garbage bin they drop off in our complex every six months. Which means that I didn't get my workout in yesterday or today. Pam and Eunice I hate evening workouts too but i can't get up at 3:30 a.m. to do them either. Right now I am already getting up at 4:00 a.m. to do 20 minutes of stretching before I get ready for work. That is hard enough. I would rather workout in the morning and get it done before anything gets in the way. I do this on days that I have off but I don't usually start my workout until around 7:30 - 8:00 which is a sane time of the day to do it LOL.

Pam Our weather has been really lousy but today we saw some sun and I could actually take off my coat and not freeze to death :eek: The weather is suppose to be so so until Monday where it looks like we get some SUN!!!! Depending on the size of the lake your friends live on it still may seem pretty private that is until it does get really developed. I'm like you in that I don't want to live somewhere too secluded. It is nice for a weekend but then I am ready to get back to civilization. However talking about that when I was walking down to my bus this morning a coyote passed just down the street from me. He was out hunting food and I was very glad to see that he wasn't carrying a cat in his mouth. We also have black bears that wander into our complex and I am very glad that I only have run into coyotes so far. We do live in an area that has tons of condos and townhouses it is not rural at all but just a 5 minute drive away will get you into the forest and lakes. It is a very popular area for the movie industry.
I love Imax 2 as well. That is my favorite Imax.
It is going to take me as least another week to loose those extra 2 pounds. I am with ya on that love hate relationship with the scale. Most days I want ot huck it out the window. When I wake up hungry and have to do a workout I try to have a yoguert so I don't get the shakes. That seems to help. What did you get at the Pampered Chef party????

Janie I was watching the weather forcast tonight and it looks like a system will be passing through Oregon and Washington this weekend and us in Vancouver will just be getting a piece of it. Well at least Monday looks like it will be a really good day for us.

Eunice I do workout in the evening but I hate it. It will be really hard when summer finally does get here and it is really hot outside. I would rather sit down and relax and do whatever I want after a long day at work. I did the South Beach diet about 3 years ago with great results. I have tried many times to get back to it but have struggled. We ordered in pizza tonight and I had some wine too. OK so there is my cheat meal for the week. Back to the healthy tomorrow. I just got the latest Clean Eating Magazine and will look at that this weekend. Hope everything goes well with your MRI tomorrow.

Janie Nice to hear from you! I know it's hard to get on the computer all the time and it always takes me longer to post than I think it will. I am on the computer all day every day at work though, so if i don't get on before I leave in the morning then I use the forum as a break during the day. You're right about time flying though. I was just thinking about that yesterday as I was planning for DSS's graduation party next week. I was thinking about when he was in kindergarden which didn't seem very long ago!

Cheryl Wow, I can't imagine getting up that early every day. I was doing 4:30 for awhile when I was driving the kids to high school in the morning. They had to be there by 7 so I had to get up at 4:30 for my workouts. I was so happy when they got out of school for the summer or were on break! Then when the oldest got his drivers license it was fantastic. Now I get up a little after 5:00 on school days which just seems much more managable.

Congratulations on the sun yesterday!! I hope you do get more on Monday (and hopefully before. You know those weather men are often wrong!) Coyotes and bears, oh my! I know that we have Coytoes around here but I have never seen one. We often see fox in our backyard and had one living behind us for awhile. We live on almost 2 acres with woods behind the house that will never be developed so we get lots of deer and the turkey vultures like to sit on our house because it's the highest point in the neighborhood. It was a little freaky one day when I came home I was getting the mail and my neighbor yelled at me to look at our roof - there were 6 turkey vultures sitting on it! We have a nice mix of civilization and country. We are not right in the city because we wanted some land, but we still have grocery stores and restaurants and things right up the street. I'm guessing our friends don't even have a pizza place that will deliver! It sounds like where we live is similar to where you live.

This morning I was not feeling the love with the scale :mad: Up half a pound from yesterday for no apparent reason. So annoying! Yes yogurt before a workout is a good idea, I definitely should've done that.
I got a mini spatula, a scraper thing, a cookbook and some little pinch bowls with spouts and lids at the Pampered chef party. I was tempted by the pineapple peeler/corer/slicer, but figured I only get a fresh pineapple about 3-4 times a year so don't really need it.


Eunice I hope all goes well with you MRI today. When do you get the results?

This morning was DM scrambled cardio blast. That is a good one but really hard for me today. I was having to wipe sweat out of my eyes even though I had a bandana on. OK, time to get to work. Have a great Friday everyone!

Did The Firm Vol. one with Susan Harris, and LIC. Will do a light yoga to stretch out the ligaments later tonight. Also if I can find a spot of the day without rain, I'll take Rolly out for a fast walk.

Cheryl, Your workout schedule sounds great for you and the time you have to do it in. Good for you. Sometimes, there is simply not enough time in the day to do everything. That's OK, just get back into it ASAP, or use those two days as rest days.
