Today I did RAW R&R September 2019 and had an excellent workout. I used my treadmill this time, instead of my Max Trainer. I used my treadmill on an incline to really get the legs burning and went as high as 10%. Really felt it good.

Everything was in sections of 45 seconds.

Cardio warmup: Treadmill - 4 min. 45 sec.

Squats w/Knee Lift: 15's
Walkout Plies: 15#
Plie Sweeps

Cardio: Treadmill - 4 min. 15 sec

Front/Side Kicks (one side at a time)
Front Lunge/Back Kicks (one side at a time) (I did two sets of Deads using 15's)
Alternate Reverse Lunges: 15's

Cardio: Treadmill - 4 min.

Side Lunge w/Side Kick - 15#
Alternating Slow Pendulums
No weight Squats

Cardio: Treadmill - 3 min. 22 sec.

Pizza Press/Hydrants (one side at a time)
Rainbows
Situps climbing up leg (one side at a time) - I did Dead Bug/Russian Twist
One-Leg Bridges

Cardio: Treadmill - 3 min.

One Leg Squats: 15's
Lunge Front/Back: 15#

Great workout! Workout was 50 minutes, burned 359 calories, did 2676 steps and HR was 120/143.

Jolie - Bummer that you can't get a weight workout in when your husband isn't around. Have you tried that treadmill walker with your pup yet? I bet if he gets used to it, he will love it. It's going to be in the single digits here next week. I can't imagine CA gets that cold! LOL!!

Roxie - Nice job on the workout we both did. I've never tried doing the heavy bag with that workout, I should do that one time. Did you like it? The music is awesome in that one.

Diane - That workout sounds fun, I love hard rock music!! Hope you are feeling better today. I hate feeling like that.

Belinda - Sounds like you are well on your way to having some great traveling excursions!! Lucky you! Nice job on your workout yesterday and this morning!

Have a great day everyone!!

Good Evening,

I did TBTS Pull then walked on the treadmill for 50 minutes.

Debbie-it was ok going to take time to adjust. I tried doing the ab work but there was something in the music that I couldn’t handle listening to

Total Time 82 minutes, 257 calories. I wore my regular Everlast boxing gloves this time. I watched Kelly's new dvd previews on Youtube last night. They look Challenging. Especially the Strength.

Belinda, that is great that you got a new car to pull behind the RV. Great job on Cathe Live #475 Leg Day. My cold is better today. Eyes are not watery today. I intended to do the Relaxing Full Body Stretch Routine at Home today, and for some reason I ended up doing another that I did last Thursday. Maybe I will do it tomorrow. I hope your knee is okay.

Debbie, great job with Ripped and Ride September 2019 using the Treadmill. When I used to do those workouts I either used the spin bike or the Tread Climber. I think I did one once where she mentioned an option of rebounder? I just remember using that for cardio between the weights. When I finished the heavy bag workout I almost did the TBTS Pull workout, but then thought maybe I might be over doing it. It seemed the Heavy Bag Chest and Back was slower paced even for the heavy bag portions working more on form. Shadow Boxing was quick though. I really did not have much time left though and wanted to get the stretch in. I did add some biceps curls with my right arm only though. Since surgery I am gaining back muscle, but not caught up with the left arm and not the vascularity of the left arm. The physical therapist did say it would be like starting over and I think he is right. Sure taking a long time.

Roxie, nice job on the heavy bag workout and the TBTS Pull workout. My martial arts gloves that have open fingers have padding over the knuckles. It still hurts if I hit and miss the padding. I can't hit it as hard. I have 3 pair of different gloves. One looks like regular boxing gloves except the thumb is open which was always handy for pushing buttons on the remote.

Roselyn, nice work on Chest and Back.

Jolie, I hope that you were able to get in a good workout today.

This morning I did RAW TBTS Sculpt Cardio. I really like this one for a quick and fun cardio day. It's intense and I like most of the moves. No squat thrusts or mountain climbers which is always a plus.

I also did TBTS Strength Abs, love that one too. The ab work consists of 3 circuits, all exercises done for 45 seconds. It's a burner:

Low Plank
Dead Bug: 10#
Weighted Situps: 10#
Russian Twist: 10#
Crunch/Reach threw

I also did a little stretching on my own.

Total workout time was 53 minutes, burned 297 calories, did 2564 steps and HR was 113/164.

Roxie - Great job on TBTS Pull. I guess that kind of music isn't for everyone. I love the violin part during the end of the shadow boxing. That gets me going.

Belinda - Hope your knee is feeling better, my left one has been bothering me the last couple of days.

Roselyn - Good job with Chest and back

Diane - I want to do all those heavy bag workouts, next time I'm off for a few days I'll get those in, they are fun. I love the R&R workouts, I can't believe I waited 2 years to start doing them again. They are great workouts and there are a couple I haven't done yet. Need to do them to see if I like them. One is with a stability ball and I doubt I'd like that one. I should watch it, at least, to see if I would. I am surprised how long it is taking for your recovery. My knee surgery will mark a year on Feb. 1. I can't believe it's been a year already!!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi,

Today was cardio on the Jan rotation. My knee is still hurting like crazy. Not sure, what I did yesterday for it to hurt like this. I did CL# 465 Strong and Fit: All Upper Body. Great upper body workout.

Debbie - for the life of me, I can‘t figure out what I did to my knee yesterday. I am taking it easy on the cardio. Hope your knee is feeling better. It‘s my right knee that is bordering me.

Diane - glad your cold and eyes are better. My plan is to continue to stretch. Great job on your chest and back workout.

Roselyn - great job on your chest and back as well.

Have a great day and workout.

Today I did CDorner Old School Aerobics low or high, 45 minutes, heart rate 141/175, 253 calories, 4,980 steps. I followed with the same Abs Debbie did so won't put down the moves and weights, this is Raw TBTS Strength: Abs 16:38 minutes, heart rate 90/119, 51 calories. I finished with CDorner Day 1 Total Body Stretch, 18 minutes, 24 calories. Total time was 79 minutes, 328 calories, 5,143 steps. I am hoping to get in the Heavy Bags and Legs workout tomorrow. I was a bit worried the boxing might hurt my shoulders and my arthritic wrist that hurts, but I am doing okay with it.

Debbie, nice work today on TBTS Sculpt Cardio and the Strength Abs. I love both as well. I checked my notes to be sure, and the Ripped and Ride with the Stability Ball has the option to ride the spin bike or do cardio as the stability ball abs are just done between the weight work. I have done it a few times. I think I have done all of them including the latest spin ride where she has the weights nearby and does upper body weight work without getting off the bike. She stops pedaling during weights and I am sure this could probably be done on another piece of equipment. My torn meniscus healing went pretty quickly. This shoulder took most of a year just to pick up 8 and 10# dumbbells for upper body. I guess it takes patience. Plus the left worked harder dragging in heavy things and picking up things since I could not do it with the right. You should have seen me moving those 32 packs of water in off the doorstep. I have muscle there that is obvious, just not quite like the left.

Belinda, great job on CL# 465 Strong and Fit: All Upper Body. Good idea to do upper body and rest the knee. Maybe you will have to adjust or modify till the knee feels better. It doesn't take much to twist or turn a bit wrong or land wrong. Doing stretching most days has helped me a lot in avoiding pain.

Jolie, awesome work on Caroline Girvan's Dead Arms and Shoulder workout. I am sure it felt good. We have snow forecast tonight down to 19 so it will not be nice. It is time to bundle up. We had sunshine this morning and I had to open up the blinds and let some sunshine in. I like the sunshine too. It makes me happy.

Roxie, good work on TBTS Push day and the treadmill today. I am not looking forward to the cold. It was 60 earlier today.

Roselyn, nice that you got in some abs and stretching today. We all need some stretching, but it is easy to leave out, particularly when busy.

Belinda - Hope the knee is better today, maybe ice it? Great job with your upper body workout.

Jolie - That workout you did yesterday looked amazing! Nice job and nice weights!

Roxie - We are supposed to get snow this weekend and really cold weather!! Yikes!

Roselyn - I'm with you, I'm horrible at stretching but try to do a little each day.

Diane - Great job with your workout yesterday. I really like that ab workout we both did. It's a burner!

Have a great weekend everyone! So glad I get three days off, woohoo!!

Hello! I got sick after Christmas and this is the first week that I finally feel better and got my energy and appetite back. My husband felt lousy on Christmas Eve and had a fever and was out of it. I cancelled Christmas Day and then my daughter got sick and the next day I got the same thing. Fever, headache, sore throat and congestion. I rarely get sick and this was a doozy. I haven't had a fever since before I had kids. I couldn't really get out of bed for a couple days. Thank God that's over. Still can't get rid of the conjestion, but I feel good.

This weeks workouts:
Monday- Penny 60 min New Year Full Body No Repeat (Good one)
Tuesday- Cathe Live #310 Cardio Crush (low to moderate impact) & #418 Yoga & Mobility Stretch
Wednesday- CL #400 Upper Body Blast
Thursday- CL # 405 Standing Legs
This morning- CL #450 Total Body Triple Play (Loved this one!)

Got a huge snowstorm yesterday that dumped at least 16 inches. Really heavy and it just came down non-stop with 40 mph winds. I thought the roads would be cleared today, but they are horrible. I don't think the plows can keep up. This is the worst blizzard because it was so heavy. It took my husband over 3 hours last night to snow blow and clear the snow around the house and a couple more hours this morning. He's beat. Now comes the deep freeze. 4 degrees tomorrow with blowing and drifting snow. Oh joy.

Debbie, I bet you got the same crappy weather.

Good workouts everyone!

Today I did CDorner Burning Biceps and Triceps with mini bands and dumbbells, 33 minutes, 117 calories, heart rate 106/152. I then did Raw TBTS Sculpt: Box and Tone, 20 minutes, 102 calories, heart rate 126/146. I finished with CDorner Day 12 upper body stretch and Day 10 Spinal mobility, 28 minutes, 48 calories.
Total time was 81 minutes, 267 calories. It is freezing cold outside and so windy. I went out in that wind to do a couple of things and came back in coughing my head off. It is 7 degrees and weather says feels like minus 12.

CDorner Burning Biceps
27 minutes, 45 seconds work using loop band and dumbbells
Triceps

kickbacks leaning forward holding loop at shoulder heavy loop
overhead triceps extension 10# dumbbells 1 1/2

biceps curls with 1 heavy band and 12# dbs

Cam, it is nice to see you back. I am sorry that you got so sick. Too bad that you had to cancel Christmas. I have had to do that in the past and we just moved Chrismas to later. You got in some good workouts this week. Forecast says snow here tomorrow late morning. We will see. I am staying inside.

Roxie, nice work getting in the treadmill even if you were not feeling it.

Roselyn, good job on quads and calves yesterday and hiit kickboxing today. Wow, it seems like your grandson was just born. I keep looking around at all of the things I need to move when my soon to be born great grandson comes to visit. His birth is supposed to be April. We are having the shower next month. Babies are so sweet and a big responsibility.

This morning I gave my house a good cleaning and just did Michelle Briehler 30 min. Low Impact Standing Cardio/Ab no repeats. This was a fun steady state cardio kickbox workout. Each move was 30 sec. Perfect for today. I'm a little soar from CL workout from yesterday.

Packers are playing the Cowboys soon. I am not sure I want to watch. Good thing they aren't playing here. -4 here today with -30 wind chills. I do have to say with the fresh snow and blue sky it is pretty out. Just so cold. My dog loves the snow and cold. She's crazy! But Labs sure are tough dogs. She didn't want to go home from her walk this morning. My daughter said she wanted to keep walking. Don't want her paws getting frost bite.

Hope everyone js having a warm weekend!
