Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Jan 2024

I forgot to check in yesterday. Thursday was rest day number 1 for the week but i still walked the pup 2.4 miles through the hills because there is no day off for that boy :) Today I took him for a 45 minute walk again, same way as yesterday because the hills are steep and I get in a butt burner walk that way. Next, I did Cathe's new Live workout, Biceps and Triceps and I liked it. She uses a BB and some tubing for some of the exercises, but my band broke just at the beginning of the Triceps workout so I just used either the BB or DB's for the entire workout and it was fine. This is a slower and heavier type of workout which you all know is my favorite. I forgot to write the workout down, I just plan forgot! Todays calories burned were 590 for the walk and weight workout combined.

Debbie, I should sign up for raw, maybe I should let my Cathe Live go for a month and try it out. I do love to box because it really leans me out and I need that big time after the holidays. I love P90X again, I can go at my own pace and pick my own rep range. My goal this year is to add a lot of muscle, I have lost so much over the past few years, and I hate the way I look. I am also thinking about doing Body Beast again after I get bored with P90X. Great job on the workouts the past two days, you are kicking butt!!!

Great job on the workouts yesterday everyone! I am running short on time this morning, so I have not time for personals. Make it a great day!

Hi,

sorry for not checking in yesterday. I had an appointment at UPenn yesterday. Came home late last night, I was exhausted.

Today I did Killer Legs. I like Cathe’s new 2023 workouts. I haven’t done any of the bonuses. I will pay around soon.

Debbie - I think you would like the Barbell workout. At one point, I got tired of changing out the weights, YI used DB’s instead. Maybe I was too tired from the flight? So far, I like all the new workouts. I haven’t done the bike workout yet. I don’t have a bike, lol. Yes, they are all Cathe’s new workouts. Great job on your Raw Ignite your metabolism and Raw TBTS Sculpt Shadow Boxing.

Diane - nice job on Raw Strength 2 Cardio Acceleration and CDorner mobility. I need to start doing more mobility workout.

Jolie, Roxie and Roselyn - great job on your workouts.

Have a great day.

This morning I did RAW Strength #3 - CardioAcceleration. LOVED IT! Even though most moves were compound moves, which I don't usually like to do, I really enjoyed this one. This has two weight exercises and then she adds a pop of cardio to keep the HR up.

45 seconds on/15 rest - 2 sets of each circuit

Push/Press: 15's
Upright Rows/Scap Squeeze: 15's (I was a bit worried doing this with 15's but I did well with it)
Knee Pulls

Alternate Rows: 20's (hard to explain how she does these, but I liked it)
One Arm Row/Push Press: 15's (tough)
Jog in place

Goblet Squats w/Band: 20#
Deadlifts: 20's
Split Switch (hate these but I did them)

Bicep Curl/Wide Curl: 15's
Clean from the Hips: 20's/15's
Rope/Jacks

Overhead Triceps Extension: 20#/15#
Kickbacks: 8# (She does this differently, too, I liked it)
Pendulums

Knee Push-Ups
Wide Bench Press/Pull In: 20's (tough!)
Seated Abs (I did Dead Bug and Russian Twist)

Workout was 53 minutes, burned 336 calories, did 1442 steps and HR was 115/148.

Roxie - Great job with B&B. I like those workouts.

Diane - Wow, great job with CardioAcceleration 2. That one is long and tough. I did catch what Kelly said about not doing the Ignite workout too often. Makes sense. I'm sorry you are having RA flair up again, did you reorder your supplements? I hope that will help you. The bump on your spine sounds concerning, I hope it goes away soon. I have been taking Marine Collagen faithfully for years and I swear that has helped with my joints. I never had joint pain at all. Its a powder form and I add it to my protein shakes. You can't even taste it. I hope you get some relief soon.

Roselyn - Great job on the workout.

Jolie - You should sign up for RAW, it's cheap and you can cancel at any time. I think you will like her strength workouts and all of her boxing ones. They are no where near like Cathe's are. I love them as you can tell by how much I do them.

Belinda - Great job with the leg workout. I may order a couple of those new ones, I looked at them yesterday and I think I will like them. I won't get the bike one, though. LOL!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Today I did CDorner Fast Basic Step that I have done before with good music, 46 minutes, 222 calories, 3,799 steps, heart rate 126/155. I then did STS 2 standing abs metabolic and standing abs floor core, 26 minutes, heart rate 115/141, 112 calories. I finished with CDorner Day 6 morning mobility wake up stretch, 12 minutes, 28 calories. Total time was 84 minutes, 362 calories, 4,412 steps.

Debbie, great job on Raw Strength cardio acceleration. That Gorilla Row move is kind of hard to describe. She called it that so I typed it in as that when I put the moves down. I have kept up the Collagen, although I switched this last batch to a different one that is a full 20 gm protein serving as the last one I purchased Primal considered one scoop that is 10 gm a serving. I have to watch that as many of them are misleading on how many actual servings they are providing and how much. Makes a difference in cost as well. I have not done marine collagen in awhile. I am gradually purchasing my supplements. A few different ones. I ordered Thorne Joint Support and have started it and ordered the Thorne 2 a day vitamin mineral supplement. They recommend the morning and night formula that looks really good and contains some curcumin, but I will wait to try it is costs over 50 dollars for a month. Added back Serrapeptase as I realized the proteolytic Enzymes I last purchased did not have it and they were not working for allergies or pain etc.. I will get there eventually. Feeling better today. I took two 4 capsule doses of the joint support the first 3 days and I think they are kicking in. Once I am better I will pull back to once a day.

Hi,

Today I did STS 2.0 UB 1 and Cris on YT 30 MINUTE FLEXIBILITY AND MOBILITY WORKOUT // STRETCH AND FEEL GOOD. The mobility workout was very good.

Roselyn - I looked at Heather R. New 4.0. It looks very good.

Diane - great job on CCorner Step workout and ab workout.

Debbie - I ordered the bundle, it came out cheaper w/dvd and downloads. I don’t have a bike, lol. I think you like the new workouts. I also like STS 2.0. Nice workout.

Have a great weekend. It’s snowing here.

Belinda, nice work on Killer Legs yesterday. I am glad that you are liking the new workouts. Good job on STS 2.0 Upper 1 today and Chris Mobility. She does such a good job on the mobility workouts. That is why I choose them so often. The mobility is an important part of workouts for me.

Jolie, nice job on the walks and getting in Cathe Live Biceps and Triceps. I hate when bands break on me when doing a workout. It sounds like you figured out a good option.

Roselyn, nice job on the leg day workout.

Diane - great job on your workout today. I did this one today and really liked it.
Yes, i agree mobility is an important part of a workout. I will do more of her mobility workouts. Liked how it.

Great job on the workouts this weekend everyone! I am so excited to be back at the weights again, my body is craving the weights. Make it a great Sunday.

Belinda, that is a good one. I like most of them, but there certain ones that are favorites that I return to often. I always feel good when I am done and they are very helpful keeping the joints moving.

Jolie, nice work on the weights with Carolyn Girven.

Good Afternoon,

Saturday I walked on the treadmill for 50 minutes and today I did Cathe’s Yoga Relax Premix 2 and 45 minutes on the treadmill. We are expecting anywhere between 2-8” of snow tomorrow with high winds.

Diane - it flowed well. I like that one too. I will return to that one.

Jolie - nice job on your weight workouts.

Roxie - great job on your walk on the TM and yoga relax premix 2.

No workout to report today. I needed to get some groceries. maybe I will do a stretch later.

I don't have time for personals, I am getting ready to set up an art show for our teacher's. It's cool to see the art work that art teachers create.

Have a great day every one!! Great job on your workouts this past weekend!

Today I did Raw Heavy Bag and Arms 62 minutes, heart rate 123/174, 3,006 steps, 291 calories. I then had a battle with youtube and roku trying to do a stretch. I hate wasting time. I ended up giving up and did Raw Stretch Flow with a few stretches in between while battling youtube. This was 25 minutes, 38 calories. Total time was 87 minutes, 329 calories. It is probably me as I am used to using the Fire TV in the other workout space. The tv screen would go blank for a bit on youtube then an arrow would pop up and it made an odd crackling noise, I never got to the workouts. This was after I picked out a particular workout. I tried changing to another, but it did the same thing.
I used the heavy bag which Noelle was doing while Kelly used egg weights and did shadow boxing. I wore my combat gloves that have open fingers so I could do the heavy bag and pick up weights without taking the gloves off.

Raw Heavy Bag and Arms 57 minutes
requires a barbell or dumbbells Kelly 20# barbell and Noelle 12# dumbbells egg weights for shadow boxing if not the heavy bag

Biceps Curls 5 sets 12 reps I used 15"s 3 sets and 12's 2 sets
Boxing Jab Cross 3 with squats between switching sides
Barbell or dumbbell squats started with 25# barbell 2 sets then switched to 12# dbs for 3 sets
boxing jab cross singles with squats switching sides no weight squats
push press 10# first set 8# dbs 4 sets 12 reps
boxing hook, body shot alternated with plie squats 12 # dbs between sets
overhead triceps extension 12# dumbbell, 12 reps 5 sets
front squat pulses 12# dbs
boxing jab hook cross with squat pulses bet
Boxing
stretch

Belinda, nice job on SS Live #209 today. I wanted to do CDorner stretch today. I will do one tomorrow in my other workout space.

Roxie nice work on the treadmill today along with Cathe Yoga Relax.

Debbie, Great job on Push and Pull today. I bet it is fun checking out the artwork. I love art anyway. There are so many methods to artwork now. I always painted and drew. Then I have a granddaughter that does more digital artwork. I don't know how she draws on a tablet and keeps a steady hand. Have fun.

This morning I did RAW Heavy Bag/Shadow Boxing - this is the one with Kelly and her son, Zach. Love this one, my most favorite of her boxing workouts. I used 1.5# egg weights. I also did RAW Stretch Finisher.

Workout was 41 minutes (with stretch), burned 366 calories, did 2633 steps and HR was 130/172.

Diane - Great job with Heavy Bag and Arms, I love those workouts. I only do them when I don't have to get up so early because I don't feel like my body is ready for that kind of impact at 4:30 in the morning. But when I'm off, I try to do one of those for sure. I hate when you can't get things to stream, it happens way too often. There are some really beautiful art at the show we set up yesterday. Impressive! I also love artwork and shows. Digital Art that your granddaughter does is the new thing. One of the teachers turned in a picture of his wife laying on the couch looking at her phone. It literally looks like he painted it. He said he drew and painted it on his tablet. Totally amazing!

Roselyn - Great job on the new workout yesterday. I watched a few of her workouts but I'm not sure I can get into them. I'll see how you feel about them once you do a couple.

Have a great day everyone!!

Yesterday was a rest day, the last workout kicked my butt and I ran out of time after walking the dog 2 miles. Today was a 3.5 mile walk through the hills with the pup, 71 minutes and I burned 589 calories. My husband is busy at workout this week so I have a feeling that getting in some weight workouts might be tuff this week and he will be gone over the weekend visiting our son at college. Oh well, that is the way that it goes sometimes.

Great job on the workouts yesterday everyone! It is freezing here the past few days, it is hard to motivate myself to get out early for walks and then workout. I would rather sit by the fireplace and stay warm.

Google Afternoon,

I did the same workout as Debbie but did the bag part but I am going to have to switch from fingerless gloves to regular it kind of hurt, it was my first time using the bag my husband bought me for Christmas, then I walked on the treadmill for 50 minutes. I probably should go out an shovel snow but it’s 32 and windy, I believe we got 1/8” of ice and 4” of snow.

Jolie-what’s the temperature there today.

Today I took me a while to get started. I have a head cold and watery eyes. It was awful last night and I got up, then went back to sleep this morning till after 10. Once I got going and took my supplements I felt better. I guess the extra sleep the last two nights energized me as I did get a workout in. I did CDorner Hard Rock Hiit 30 minutes, heart rate 130/154, 154 calories, 2,816 steps. The title caught my attention :) Enjoyed the music and the workout. As usual Chris gives suggestions to modify. I was able to do most as is. I followed this with today's CDorner Relaxing Full Body Stretch. She used good music for the stretch as well, 29 minutes, 32 calories. Total time 59 minutes, 186 calories.
I will be back to read posts.
